"There's a time and a place for everything." The time is in the mind, so it is now. The place is the heart. There are times when that place might seem confusing or hardened or inaccessible - these are decisions the mind makes based on moments in perceived time- in other words, not necessarily heart centered/ I'm pondering this being a net to be snipped, so to speak, how much time do we spend making decisions we think are heart based when in fact we've skipped right over it by thinking about it rather than DOING the work involved. This is akin to working on a fancy yogasana without a stable base... ... What is a ‘Sonic Journey’? Sound has a profound effect on us. Often times we are inundated with sound and pretend like it isn’t happening. Over time this can be damaging and add stress. THIS is why we started creating SONIC JOURNEYS… They are a combination of familiar patterns, soothing frequencies and uplifting sounds that build up slowly and take you on a path exploring different types of soundscapes- for example, water. This initial series we are producing is on water. It makes sense to say sound is important- it can keep you alive. In a recent lecture I watched something was said that really struck me... I will try to paraphrase: 'No one can say or do anything to me that is worse than any attack I've already lived through because I have survived the most ruthless attacker of all- my Self' ... 🙌 #mattkahn . ... before you wade through physical vs mental I would like to say that I have had my fair share of both and I still full hearted feeeeeeeel this quote ... this moment in time attached to the feelings... what are we left with? Our ideas about our feelings attached to moments not the same... but the feelings seemingly are .... this is our mind... . Find that light.... Follow it to your heart... Just be prepared to do the work to crack that open... creak that doorjam away from the wall... crack the glasss... slide the rocks aside.... Thank them for the protection they provided... Today in my class at Yoga Mayu I started "7Weeks of Heart Openers" which is series 1 of #ASANAiloveyou . For the next 7 weeks I will provide a question in all my classes and there will be a a focus in the form of words and a posture. The "focus" in the form of words is only something that can be provided live in class (maybe we can do an "Instagram Live" thing...?) 🔮 Nov 12// Week 1 out of7 🤸‍♀️This week the posture is: Dhanurasana ❓The Question is: What does "Heart Opening" mean to you? (Which we explored in class) ...
