Hi! Thanks for asking my questions a while back, but I was rewatching and had another one. I think you said some specific writer who wasn’t you mostly wrote the Sisko baseball stuff, so I was curious: what were the team loyalties for people writing that, if you remember? My mom thought it must be a National League team because in the scene where they’re on their first date, Sisko seems to approve of Kasidy’s brother’s league not having a designated hitter. (We’re an AL family — Tigers and Orioles — so she was pretty salty about that, haha.)

Michael Piller - Creator, main baseball guy - Dodgers - BOOOO!

Ira Behr - Showrunner S3-7 - Yankees - BOOOO!

Ron Moore - Giants - YAY!

Rene Echavarria - Braves I think? He didn't grow up with the Marlins - Shrug

Me - Giants - YAY!

Hans Beimler - Pumas UNAM (Didn't care about baseball, I decided to root for Club América just to be contrary)

Tough rough rivalries

You thought little kiss bullying each other was bad? Wait until you're cheering for a rival team that goes against your child's fave.

In my case, dad wanted me to join the Navy when I wanted to go with the Air Force. Mom popped in and reminded dad I've been the protector of my sisters and need to stick around.

Another situation is with the first season the Vegas Golden Knights first joined the NHL They showed intense skill; like cheering for a babysitter and to walk towards you, I was cheering for them.

That's until they quickly began reaching the finals and kicked our Stanley Cup winning butts to the curve. Since the San Jose Sharks got a New coach things have been going down hill.

As I have a family home in Vegas I at least get to be happy out there if I'm going to watch a game.

SF Giants vs the LA Dodgers is a slightly similar idea for me. Kinda. They got the pitcher I wanted. Shohei Ohtani. Of course I followed Ohtani before he got to the States. He kicked butt before, I don't see why he'd quit now.
