Matchday! United will look to qualify for the Europa League semi-finals against Sevilla after the Spanish side scored two late goals at Old Trafford to settle the first-leg tie in a 2-2 draw.

Despite two goals in the first half from Marcel Sabitzer, United conceded two own goals in the final 10 minutes to leave Old Trafford with the Europa League tie against Sevilla on edge.

United have had a habit of bouncing back quickly from disappointing results, though, and they were excellent in the Premier League on Sunday, recording a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest courtesy of goals from Antony and Diogo Dalot, with the result strengthening their grip on a top-four spot in the table.

The La Liga club will be the fourth opponent United have faced from Spain's top flight in this season's competition, following previous clashes with Real Sociedad, Barcelona and Real Betis.

United have bounced back well within the last week, following the defeat away to Newcastle. Back-to-back wins over Brentford and Everton have seen Erik ten Hag’s team continue our push for a top-four place in the Premier League.

Sevilla, on the other hand, have struggled this term, and surprisingly occupy a bottom-half position in the table, but they have collected four points from new boss Luis Mendilibar’s first two games in charge.

Matchday! Following last week’s blowout loss to Liverpool, Manchester United overcame their first challenge, and today, the Red Devils will host the Saints at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils overcame a 7-0 setback to Liverpool to defeat Real Betis 4-1 in Europa League action and will fancy their chances of applying added strain to Southampton, who are looking to avoid relegation.

With 13 games remaining, the Saints are riding on a high after a 1-0 victory over Leicester City brought them back within a point of the Premier League‘s safe areas.

This game could see a debut for Raphael Varane, after his unveiling in front of the Old Trafford faithful before the opening game against Leeds while Jadon Sancho is looking to make his first start in United colours.

We are unbeaten in their last five matches against the Saints, winning three and drawing twice, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having an unbeaten record against Ralph Hasenhuttl.
