Heyyy sorry to annoy you with another ask but I really need this rn-

I stepped into a big shard of glass today because I am just silly like that /hj

Anyway,I wanted to know what will the skeletons react to there fem!s/o literally stepping on a piece of glass and trying to play it off as if she was alright-

his face drops completely when he sees your foot landing down on the glass

you and him were just joking around the kitchen, as usual

when you dropped a glass and it shattered completely.

he insists you sit down, though he's lowkey panicking a little from the blood

he'll never get used to the fact that humans just leak blood

But he manages to lull you into sitting on the couch and quickly calls Toriel over

she's a much more experienced with human medical care

breathes a sigh of relief once your cleared to walk again

"thank the stars that's over, let's never get injured again"

he didn't spend years hunting down humans, learning what makes them tick just for his s/o to tell him she's fine when she's got a shard of glass sticking out of her!

he grabs you by the waist and plops you down on a chair

he yanks out the shard harder than intended and quickly feels guilty once he hears your yelp

he wraps your foot up and carries you to the couch

there, now you can't hurt yourself anymore :)

though you may be stuck on that couch for a while.

despite the tough front he puts on, Mutt never wants to hurt those he cares about

It scares him a little how easy it is to hurt you

Black levels the most unimpressed look he can offer.

It quickly gets you settled back down onto the chair.

How you managed to injure yourself so quickly, he'll never know. He was gone for five minutes! How?!

Luckily Black came prepared, he knew, given that there was a human living with him now, that one day medical attention would be required

ergo, he bought a whole medkit to store inside one of the kitchen cabinets

It's a little overkill, but now the shard is out of your foot and its nice and tightly wrapped.

No infections in this household!

I just noticed Copper and Ghost in that list of characters. What are those two like personality wise? 👀

I am SO glad you asked, I've been thinking of those two a lot lately for some reason...

Back when I was first getting into aus, I got pretty turned around by all the different sf/fs aus, and never really felt like my multitudes of attempts fit right, but after I had a more solid foundation with all the others, I decided to come back to them and make my own "from scratch"

Hence, Metal & Glass as their separators!

This makes Copper more closely aligned with Stretch, while Ghost is more closely aligned with Edge! Of course, each au has their own lore that further differentiates them from their alternates, but that's (mostly) besides the point

Copper - from the outside looking in, Copper comes across arrogant and careless. He’s self assured, cocky, and while he’s generally conflict avoidant, doesn't shy away from stepping on toes. Few truly even believe he’s the Judge because of his total lacking respect of the queen, and general inability to take things seriously. He’s sarcastic, flirtatious, and even plays "pranks" on the rare occasion, but anyone who pays attention can see he’s just as affected by the state of the underground as anyone else.

Going beyond surface level (aha), Copper is incredibly observant. When it comes to important things, or potential threats, there are few who have intuition as keen as his. Unfortunately though, he can be a little less astute with less dangerous social situations, and truly does speak before thinking at times. He genuinely doesn't mean to offend more often than not, but correcting anyone of misconceptions would be showing weakness, which is partially how he winds up with his aforementioned reputations.

Despite this, he cares more than he wishes he did, and tries his best to look out for those he cares for, even if his best falls ever shorter of being enough as conditions underground worsen, along with his own apathy.

With strangers, he comes off as quick witted and sharp tongued, but also lazy and purposefully annoying. With people close to him, he’s generally more quiet, prefers actions to words, and does little things to look after them.

He’s got thick skin, but more than anything the loneliness is what hurts him. But distance is safety. And he’s still got people to look after, so he can't go putting them all at risk just for a little self satisfaction...

Ghost - despite few knowing he’s the Judge, many are wary of him all the same. Predominantly mute, merciless in his work, and eerily watchful, Ghost's nickname suits him incredibly well. He’s got possibly the worst resting bitch face anyone's ever seen, and due to his inexpressive nature, most assume he is some level of pissed off at any given time. They're not entirely wrong though, so that actually works in his favor more often than not. He appears slow moving and indifferent, but strikes like a viper and has little patience for those endangering others. It's understood this isn't due to a strong sense of justice but rather strict adherence to his responsibilities as a member of the guard.

However, prying under that veneer, Ghost cares very deeply about the few "close" to him, his brother, Undyne, and eventually Chara. Even, to a lesser extent, Toriel, though it's rooted more in pity than anything else. He was "raised" with a strong sense of responsibility forced upon him, and his more emotional side was staunchly repressed for so long it's atrophied a bit. For the best though, it keeps them safer, but he does understand it's a weakness in its own respect...

He may come across very cold and uncaring, but it's more observant and wary than most realize. He does not like violence. He does not like the state of things. But there's little he can do besides focus on what he can, and so he does. A deceitfully tireless worker, and perhaps cares more about those outside his circle than they'd believe. Still prefers animals though.

The Best of All Timelines -- 5 Years On!

Surprise! We're doing a time skip! The story of The Best of All Timelines (with all the skeletons who I write about on this blog) is jumping forward by five years. In this time, some of the skeletons have made big changes in their lives, and some of them are still doing the same thing they were before.

The UT, US, UF, SF, HT, G!bros, and MT bros are sticking around the area and are still available for in-character asks and story stuff. The rest of the skeletons have moved out of the area and are kinda busy. They're still around if we really need them, but they're not there every day. Below the cut are details of where everybody's at.

If a Friend of the Blog was in a relationship with a particular skeleton, they're included in those details. None of those relationships are exclusive. If you want to ask for a romantic (or platonic) relationship with a character, you feel free to ask. I'm not going to say, "No! You can't have Sweets! He has a wife and children!" We just plop you two in a relationship and it's like a little split on the timeline. In one world, he's married to me. In the other world, you're his datemate and he adores you! (Does that make sense?)

Anyways, this is long even before the cut so I shall stop blathering and let you get to the fun part. I hope you enjoy reading about where everyone is now and feel free to send asks to the lads to find out more about how they're doing after this time skip!

These skeletons still live in or around Anne's house. (A couple of the married couples have new houses. We're calling the little neighborhood we're building Skeleton Acres.)

Sans is still working at the planetarium/hands-on museum. He really enjoys his job. He also loves inviting family to come visit him at work.

Papyrus has passed most of the Ambassador duties to Frisk, who is doing a great job with it. Pap has moved on to working for social services, helping orphans find homes. He really loves this job and he's really good at it!

Blue got his teaching license! He's officially a resource teacher at Toriel's school now! Blue and @pureangleda are still married. They now have two kids: Randy Bistroke, who recently turned 5, and Cherry Swash, who is two years old.

Stretch has started a new book series in a new genre! He's left detective fiction behind (for now) and is writing a fun fantasy series based on the Enchanted Forest AU. He took @queen-lethargy with him on his last book tour and they had a lot of fun together.

Red owns his own repair shop now. He's named it I PCed It Together. (Boss hates the name but wants to promote his brother's business, so he always conveniently forgets what the place is called. "It's on Such and Such Street. You can't miss it!") @skulls-and-cypresses often comes into the shop to keep Red company and help him piece things together. The two of them are happily living together and enjoy cuddles and flying together.

Boss is now in a higher position at the big company he works for! No one really remembers what his official title is, but Red calls him the COO--chief organizing officer--because he organizes everything. (Red also pronounces that title like what a pigeon says, which drives Boss nuts!) Boss is still happily married to Trashy. They live in a fantastically Gothic house and plan to fill said house with lots of kids. Currently they have one little girl named Poppy and another baby bones on the way! Poppy is two (there’s a lot of two year olds around) and is a sweet nature loving girl whose favorite phrase is “Lookit!” (usually uttered right before she shows you whatever bug/rock/flower/piece of moss she found).

Black is still a detective on the police force. He recently solved a big case and was offered a promotion (and a big reward and a medal and everything) but he refused. He likes being a detective and moving up in the ranks would keep him from solving some of the cases he's still working on. He took the medal, but insisted that the reward be given to the police dogs' retirement fund.

Rus is very happy working at the animal shelter. He's recently also started working with retired police dogs, helping them find new homes. He and Laurel (@aizawasluckylady) got married a little while back. They live in a lovely cottage in Skeleton Acres with a lot of animals. They are tooth-rottingly sweet together and still very much in love.

Sansy has finally gone back into stand-up comedy! For real this time! He does a combination of videos and live shows, but avoids big live audiences for now. He also recently got a 3d printer and, after a lot of work, created a 3d-printed piece that fits into the hole in his skull. With that in place, he feels more comfortable going without his hat. He's working on more pieces for jokes. His favorite so far is the one that looks like he's got a rubber chicken stuck in his skull.

Sweets has his own private catering business now! He makes cakes and sweet treats and meals for all kinds of fancy parties. He likes the job because it means he can bake from home. That means he can set his own schedule and stay with the kids while I'm off teaching. That's right--we have kids! Our oldest girl is named Someday. She's four and looks a lot like her dad. She wears glasses. She loves helping her dad in the kitchen and playing with her cousin Randy. We also have two year old twins: Grace and Gideon! Grace hates the word "no" and really wants to be able to do everything her big sister does. Gideon is very quiet and shy. He loves to be read to. He brings books to any available adult and looks at them with big pleading eyes until they give in and read the book. We love all our kids so much!

G is still working as a private detective/travel writer. The travel writing is becoming more and more of a cover for the detective work.

- Jess (@isnt-that-something) is still his faithful assistant and the other half of his brain. On a recent trip to Paris, G tried to propose to Jess! Unfortunately, he picked a really bad moment to do it and they've both agreed that he gets a do-over.

-@scarletfry37 and G have a lot of fun traveling together. He often invites them to go along on his work trips (unless they’re going to be really dangerous).

Aster is still happily working at the university. He's built himself a very calm, quiet little life. He recently got a new apartment, which he is determined to fill with books.

Bones still works at the antique shop in Littleton, but he got a sudden 15 minutes of fame when a TV show came to film in the shop. The showrunners found out that he's kind of an expert on items from a certain time period and, after a lot of convincing, they hired him as a special expert for their show. Bones agreed so long as he didn't have to go on live TV again. Instead, he films segments for them (with help) and sometimes writes articles for magazines. He is finally dating Ziz (@aizawasluckylady). It took them a long time to get over the mutual fluster, but now they're very comfortable with each other. He often asks her for help with his TV segments. She might not be an expert, but compared to him, she's a technical wizard.

Lucky has opened his own law firm! He's pleased that he's getting fewer cases defending monsters against humans who were treating them badly. In his spare time, he's trying to teach all his nieces and nephews how to play the piano, with varying levels of success. He and Bones still live with Anne but they're thinking of building themselves a home in Skeleton Acres as the families continue to grow.

These skeletons have moved out of Anne's house and won't be regularly featured here on the blog. They're still around, just kind of busy.

Smiley and Grim moved back to Las Vegas to run their casino there. They brought along a couple of new family members: Bingo, the retired drug-sniffing dog, and Claws, a dainty white kitten who has Bingo wrapped around her little paw. Bingo came from Rus's retired police dog program. The Mafia boys love him and his drug-sniffing abilities come in handy. His name was always Bingo, but Smiley thinks it's really funny that the dog is named for a game. He likes to tell people they've also got dogs named Poker and Slots. Grim keeps Claws with him in his office. He says she's helping him watch the cameras. Smiley has walked in on him villain monologuing to the cat at least twice.

Comet finished his botany degree and got a job working for the new botanical gardens in Ebott City. The gardens are connected (via sky bridge) to the aquarium, which is where Captain still works. Since they're both working in the city, the Outertale boys officially moved there. They are both super happy! Comet is still dating @rainbowut. He loves showing her what he's working on at his new job, and a lot of their dates are at the botanical gardens.

Break and Tango have gone on a world dance tour again! Well, Tango is on a dance tour and Break is there supporting his brother. They also brought Roxanne and Jack (@roxanneandjackrp, @pureangleda) along with them. Tango has proposed to Roxanne multiple times, in quite dramatic fashion, and she recently finally said yes. Jack and Break are dating but taking things slow.

Sunny and Pumpkin are still out on the farm. They've expanded and added to it quite a bit, and they've gotten involved with the local 4H organization to help kids learn to care for animals. They've also got a dedicated vet for the farm (thanks, @pureangleda!) Doctor Patty (also known as Doc and Doctor Pigtails) is a very nice lady who loves all the animals and gets along well with Pumpkin and...seems to be Sunny's favorite teasing target. The two of them are in a kind of "will they/won't they" relationship where everybody else knows they like each other but they won't admit it.

Bubbles and Finn still live near Sweet Sands. Bubbles and Bailey (the owner of the local souvenir shop) finally stopped dancing around things and are officially in a relationship. Finn and Quinn (the marine biologist who was his Best Friend Only for years) are also finally together. Quinn has helped Finn set up an educational tour of the reef for anyone who wants to learn more about it.

Bailey and Quinn are both OCs of mine who are kind of up for grabs, if anybody wants to officially "play" them. Message me and we can discuss.

Grillby still runs his bar in Littleton. He's finally gotten together with Jessa (@secretimelady) and they are preparing for her to move in with him. Grillby is enjoying spending time with Jessa to help her pack her things (and to cuddle her cat, who is also moving in). All the skeletons are really happy for Grillby and Jessa!

Coffee is staring at you wide eyed, and he stumbles on the steps a bit before walking up to you, getting some giggles from the guests

You link your arm in his and he slowly walks you up the isle onto the altar

A glance at the guests shows friends and family of you and coffee in the stands, as well as a few gold monsters you haven’t met but know wine needed to invite for politics. In a large thronelike chairs in the back, a rather imposing figurine sits watching the scene. Wine had warned you early on in the wedding planning that he would be required to invite the empress, and given his and coffees history with her, she’d almost certainly show. She’s been quiet for the most part, whispering to spring (sf toriel) occasionally who had come as her plus one to the small wedding. Thankfully the two royals have been respectful so far

SF Sans (Nox)

S/O finds out about how Toriel has been treating him. They act different the rest of the night, and end up dissappearing for a few hours. They come back pretty beat up, but with minor injuries, and refuse to explain.

They're smiling when on the news they announce that Toriel was found dead the next morning. It's not hard to piece things together.

(Inspired by how much I want to beat the shit out of Toriel and tear her apart every time I read stuff about her being an asshole to Nox again)

Surprisingly, he's mad at you.

But that's because you forgot a tiny little thing in your murderous plan. Whether he wants it or not, Nox is Toriel's heir. Which makes him the next King of Monsterkind and which he absolutely didn't want to happen.

He's also terrified he will get pressured to send the Royal Guard to avenge the Queen. Don't you know what that means? Even with his protection, you might be killed in less than a week.

He understands you tried to protect him, but murder is never the solution. You made things a ton lot more difficult and he's not sure he can fix this.

For your own safety, he sends Rus and you away for a few weeks, forcing Rus to lie to you and pretend he's taking you somewhere for your birthday or something when Rus is obviously not fine at all. He's only here to protect you, and he has a hard time dealing with everything because he might be losing his brother again.

So, yeah, maybe not the best plan after all...

SF UNDERSWAP Genocide Papyrus

Hello everyone! I thought i would share some more stuff from SF Underswap

In my swap au Papyrus switches place with Sans however unlike sans papyrus will actually get a transformation for their final battle in the genocide route.

In this form he wont use gaster blasters instead he'll take off his head and fire lazers from it

This is just his overworld sprite in this form

He transforms because he convinces queen Toriel to give him 1 human soul to help boost his power for when he fights against you

He took the kindness soul

Even though he's super powerful like this, he refuses to do an unfair attack against the human

He still wants to hold on to the hope that you can still be a better person

If there was an sf underswap yellow, Clover would be the kindness soul instead of the justice one

Love imagining all the different guys interacting in a mv surface scenario. Love thinking about all the odd combinations and relationships. Undertale Undyne and Underfell Papyrus. Swapfell Alphys and Underfell Mettaton. Underswap Asgore and Undertale Toriel.

I’ve always liked the hc that Alphys and Catty and Bratty are friends in UT and UF, but not in SF or FS, what would all the different versions think of their alternates’ relationships? Underswap Papyrus and Asgore are friends for sure, but the Tale and Fell Toriels and Sanses are in QPRs, isn’t that funny? Swapfell Grillby is incredibly intense and has a silver tongue, while Underfell Grillby is quiet, and prefers to stay out of things, what would Underfell Sans think about the version of his friend who’s almost a total inverse of what he knows? How did they become like that? There’s so many similarities but almost as many differences, it seems.

So neat to ponder

First up, horrorswap. I've been rotating it in my brain off and on lately, so I figured I'd start with one of the notes I'd made- oh lord almost two years ago WOW wait when is that art from. Oh man. Time is an illusion. Okay. Anyway.

Similar startings as how I usually do HF, Edge and Stretch met back underground, fell in love, and everything was cool and good. But then Tale suddenly lost contact with them, and they didn’t know what happened…until some time later, Fell surfaced. They quickly found out their timeline had merged with Tales, but that they could no longer contact Swap through the machine.

Eventually SF and TrF joined them on the surface, neither having met the others back underground. Years pass and Swap still hasn’t surfaced. Edge holds onto hope he has to, but time keeps dragging out.

It’s been long enough Edge is just about the only one still holding out hope, but he still has his job and life to tend to, and it hardly ever comes up he still wears the necklace Stretch gave him their first Gyftmas together, every day.

Then, something happens. The machine in Red and Toriel’s basement whirs to life and spits out two, incredibly fucked up monsters. The eventually dubbed Rust attacks Red initially, but Edge (who’d been visiting) gets between them, almost immediately recognizing “Stretch”. Rust is too out of it for it to register, and Red quickly incapacitates him before he can strike when Edge is in shock. “Blue” was already unconscious.

They’re both taken to receive medical treatment, both in pretty atrocious condition. When “Stretch” awakens, he starts to recognize the others, but…he’s pretty seriously traumatized. He’s sharp and a little cruel, seems to think this is some sort of dream or nightmare, not quite convinced it’s reality but not rejecting it either. Whatever happened, it’s obvious he’s been through the wringer. His body is mutated in some pretty serious ways, along with a lot of just outright damage, the worst of all being the gaping slice taken from his head. His right eye socket is full of diffuse magic, and he’s severely malnourished. “Blue"'s not much better off, and completely blind. Frankly, neither of them should still be alive, and yet.

As things slowly become more “real” to them, the newly dubbed Rust tries to reject Edge’s help. But Edge is nothing if not stubborn and full of love. He wears him down eventually, but the others are a bit worried for Edge, Red and Toriel especially.

Rust is pretty fucked in the head, to put it mildly (pun only slightly intended). He’s standoffish, aggressive…deranged at his worst times. And the newly dubbed Coal is really out of it at first, nor does he remember any of their old friends, so no one gets the context for what in the hell happened to them, as Rust would be more likely to chop his own arm off than talk about where they’d come from.

But they don’t see Rust with Edge when no one else is around. Yes, of course it’s incredibly rough at the beginning. There were probably many times Edge left the hospital disassociating and didn’t stop until he returned the next day. But as he slowly, slowly comes around, can’t break Edge with his bullshit, Rust…eases. Only around Edge and Coal, only. At first.

He can’t be released from the psych hospital until he proves he isn’t a danger to anyone, which takes...a while, but he softens to Edge, of course, for him, and it’s a hard fought battle, but Edge eventually convinces him to try. If not for his sake, then his brother's.

Rust eventually concedes, and stops fighting treatment. Coal’s memory is pretty shot, but he starts doing better, too, not nearly as volatile as Rust was at any point.

And eventually, Rust is permitted to be placed under a sort of conservatorship with Edge. It helps him stay on track, too, because if he fucks up, it comes back on Edge, so he really does intend to…mostly, keep on the straight and narrow.

And Edge loves him. He does. It’s incredibly hard sometimes, but there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for Stretch Rust. He moves in, while Coal moves in with Tale Asgore for company and help with his disabilities. And Rust really does improve. He’s mostly just quiet, his humors a lot more dark most of the time, but he’ll still crack jokes. He prefers to stick close to Edge if others are around, but if they aren’t, well. He can be a little clingy, but of course Edge doesn’t mind. Usually.

I love them but man do they need sooo much therapy. I have a really sweet/sad convo wip between them I will post...at some point probably, but honestly I don't have much more actually written out for them, I just rotate them ✌️😔
