Extremely tragic news grips the Art Community of Trinidad and Tobago today. Reknown Art Dealer, Curator Mark Pereira was murdered last evening at his home. I am now getting this information and have more questions than can be answered. Mark Pereira ran 101 Art Gallery in the late 80′s and 90′s and he was one of the first people to show and buy my work. He was always encouraging and supportive. When we last spoke who knew that the person who showed me around Holder’s house would be gone in such a cruel way. May you rest in peace Mark. You cast a huge light, the likes of which shall not be seen again.
