this might be the devil talking but I think a doll sized EPP quilt would fix whatever’s wrong with me

The scrap quilt is finally fully finished!!!
It’s a wonderful chaotic mess with hundreds of separate pieces of fabric in it and I love it so much

Another Christmas quilt - this one completed! It’s been awhile since I’ve done straightforward patchwork - or whatever it's called when you sew just squares together. I found it relaxing.
I also haven't machine quilted anything myself in awhile (preferring to hand quilt, not quilt, or pay someone to longarm). For this one, I cut some white flannel smaller than the top, then "stitched in the ditch" (on the existing seams) to attach it, then I did a bagged out finish (I've read that it's called that when you sew the top and backing together around the edges, leaving an opening, then turn it right sides out, instead of doing a binding).
So it's quilted with flannel as a batting, and it's backed with the red flannel you see here. I like it, as it's sort of heavy, but also more flexible than lofty batting feels to me.
Also, I want to note that I now have some cute satin tags that I bought from EverEmblem on Etsy and they work really well for tagging my quilts (seen at the bottom of the finished pic).
Pattern: Just 6" squares Fabric: Holiday/Christmas/winter fabrics I pulled from my stash, including Jolly Darlings (by Ruby Star Society), Twas (from Riley Blake designs), candy cane stripe fabric from JoAnn, and others

POUCH!
@bigcats-birds-and-books asked for a pouch to keep masks and things safe in a bag :) years and years ago, someone made me something similar but smaller and I just sat and stared at that for a while before Doing This. Thinking back, I probably should've done a mock up in scrap fabric but nothing went horribly wrong so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
last photo it's stuffed with one of those grocery bags that fold up and fit in a pocket. This was fun and healing and a good brain scratcher thank you!!

Finished a last minute Xmas gift! I wasn't expecting one of my friends to send me anything so I had to whip this out in 4 days. Not bad, if I do say so myself 😅 and it has a matching pillowcase!

13 Years of Quilting by Julia Schulte
Why I like it: I loved a lot of the quilts in the sustainable category because of their resourcefulness and commitment to making scraps work. This one, cataloguing 13 years of quilting through a spiral of scraps placed carefully in a gradient, was especially appealing. I'm a huge fan of rainbow quilts in general, and though I doubt these scraps are in the order they were procured, I love that they take us on a journey.
It also reminds me of a similar knitting pattern that was designed to use up scraps of yarn. I think it's called the 10 stitch blanket? You cast on 10 stitches and then work in garter stitch to form a square spiral similar to this, turning the corner in the same way you'd turn a sock heel.

AHAHA. DONE. FINALLY. I've never done so much hand stitching on a non-embroidery sewing project.
I've been sitting around with piles and piles of fabric that are too big to consider scraps and too small for many projects- so I quilted them into a coat! Lining is also squares of fabric that I only had little bits of left.
DOUBLE LAYER OF BATTING.
HAND APPLIQUES.
HAND STITCHED BINDING.
The only visible seams are in the quilting process but there should be none in the garment construction.

I inherited this fabric from my grandmother’s stash when she died. She used it as a table cloth for flower arranging competitions, and now Ill get to enjoy it every holiday season. 🎄
