I un ironically like this manga but this hair pin just screens miscommunication. "Hos do we highlight that this girl is the love interest" Give her a hairpin, that's a symbol of femininity. Give her a hairpin thats a symbol of femininity. Commas are important.

Sure the characters are one note, or rather 2 note. And some fo the running gas are stupid as fuck. And re-reading it there's a stupid amount of panty shots, but this serise has some wtf funny moments. Like how the ending of the serise.

The final chapter just came out so now's a good time to read it! It's sweet, not the best tbh (very simplistic and the story is kind of boring) but it's a wholesome slice of life

Boys Run the Riot

I (personally) don't like Boys run the Riot BUT it does the job! It's nice, the themes are a bit heavy handed and it makes some....shitty ass points but hey I'll take any representation !

Fire Punch is very good, if u haven't heard of it it's the first serialized manga by the Chainsaw Man guy ! It's better than Chainsaw Man imo but I have terrible taste and I think a trans person being in a story elevates it to god tier status LMAO but there's also a lot of heavy subject matter (if u couldn't tell from the TWs) so read with caution (but it's very good if u do choose to read it, it's my favorite manga)

Alright, I think I see what you're painting here with your word picture. Jaune's mana likely acted on a self-preservation instinct, so he doesn't really know what happened or why. All he knows is that he was punched and he fell down. To be honest, it kind of reminds me of the dark magic ring from Final Fantasy XV.

Cardin being a gargoyle feels kind of like a good fit, to be honest. He's supposed to be a good guy, but over the years, gargoyles families have gotten more and more distant from their roots and pretty much see themselves as big rock monsters.

Velvet being a wererabbit also fits since Blake is a werecat. It would make sense for the faunus to be intuned to primal mana and have an easier time accessing it. I'm kind of curious about this "Age of Enlightenment" brought up.

Ruby being protective of Jaune kind of reminds me of "Seton Academy: Join the Pack!" where Ruby feels like she's the alpha, and because of that, she has to look after Jaune and all of her friends. Kinda like a team mom sort of thing, but more instinctual than anything.

I also find it hilarious that humans and vampires are fast friends and Jaune is STILL struggling to get Weiss' attention.

But yeah, I like what we've got cooking, and I'd love to see and write more of this!
