I feel like Star Trek Prodigy is not getting enough attention. It's a great show and a good starting point if you don't know much about Star Trek (it also ties in well with other shows in the franchise). 🖖
And it's a beautifully animated show.
Maybe watch it so we have a chance of getting a third season. 😊

This! The show is picking up a lot of steam on Twitter, which is amazing, but it needs all the views it can get.

If you haven’t checked out Star Trek Prodigy you’re missing out on some of the absolute best Star Trek ever.
Season 2 dropped on Netflix yesterday. I’m half-way through and it. is. FANTASTIC.

I know I'm *very* late to this party but I had to get this out there.
Star Trek: Prodigy is fantastic and deserves a third season.
It's an easily accessible gateway for newcomers to the Trek universe, while having lots of Meaty Lore Implications for returning fans to dig into. I appreciate that Prodigy uses its callbacks and returning characters meaningfully, expanding our understanding of this universe and allowing it to grow and change.
And that's just the Trek aspect; it's also *a great show* in its own right. Prodigy manages to balance its tightly plotted overarching story with Classic Trek-esque planet-of-the-week episodes, without feeling too frenetic or too filler-y. It's nice to get to know the characters' quirks and idiosyncrasies (20+ episode seasons, how I've missed you), especially in episodes like Ghost in the Machine.
Speaking of characters, I love how the central characters are allowed to act their age. Sometimes they goof off! Sometimes they miscommunicate! They haven't figured everything out yet, and their struggles with identity and purpose are extremely relatable to kids both former and current.
I haven't even touched on the stunning visuals and score, but I can't possibly express all of my praise for this show in one post, so suffice it to say:
@netflix Renew Star Trek: Prodigy!
We need 7 seasons (and a movie)

Star Trek Prodigy is one of the overall highest rated Star Trek series to date. It was saved by dedicated fans who campaigned hard to get Netflix to pick it up. Everyone who worked on the series has been excited and wanting to do more. Season 2 of Prodigy is one of the current best selling Blu-Ray DVD sets on Amazon. The show has been seen by and reviewed more positively in one month than in the 2 years since it was initially debuted. Like I cannot begin to tell you how hard it was to drum up interest in this show back during Season 1, and now it’s one of the most favorited Trek series in this current batch of Star Trek revitalizations.
Maybe I’m just feeling optimistic in the first time in years but… how could this NOT be a win for Netflix to pick up? This seems like the perfect storm of profitable for them. I really hope Netflix is smart and orders at least one more season. Please! 🙏

My favourite image of Dal is from the first epsiode of Season 2 when his face is so full of wonder watching the ships fly past while at the Academy. He grows a lot in Season 2, and I hope that we get a Season 3 to see more of his joy and wonder as they discover new things!
Dal R'el from Star Trek Prodigy because we need more of this crew and this show and how marvellous it is.
Digital painting by me (while ill and between Christmas social engagements. I'm working on the rest I promise).

Just watched the latest episode of this podcast, and Aaron just said Netflix will be continuing to gather viewer data until December 31st to decide whether or not to order a 3rd season of Prodigy.
If you want to see the show continue, or if you've been meaning to catch up and watch it, now's the time! Stream when you get the chance!

need someone to explain mirror janeways borg implants. preverrably in another season of star trek prodigy *cough cough*
my head went super dark there ngl, imagining instead of rescueing any borg - cause the terran empire does not do rescue missions - she just went and ripped sevens implant out and got it inserted into herself. but i'd take mirror janeway killing the borg queen and taking over as well.

Feeling like Warp-10 addled Tom Paris as I wrap my mind around all the "timey whimey stuff."
If you haven't already...go watch Prodigy on Netflix! It's worth it! I'm hoping for a future where there's a third season. 🖖🏻
