I got a question for the dunmeshi fans: in the new episode (episode 18) with the shapeshifters, they're all based off of people's memories of others right? So the question is:
Who remembers Senshi as hot
It's gotta be one of them, so who is it

STUDY  :  TSUKINO USAGI  ♡
Tumblr media
♡   BASICS.
♡  IS YOUR MUSE TALL  /  SHORT  /  AVERAGE? Usagi is the shortest of all of her friends. She’s 4′11″ or 150 cm and yes, she’s fun-sized.
♡  ARE THEY OKAY WITH THEIR HEIGHT? Yes and no. Her lack of height can come in handy sometimes, but it really is a pain in the butt to buy pants. She compensates with shorts and skirts and she can’t really complain because she’s looks amazing in them. And her boyfriend’s face is too far away from hers for her own liking, but standing on tip toe for a kiss feels like something out of a romance, so she can deal.
♡  WHAT’S THEIR HAIR LIKE? Long, blonde, and shiny. She tries to keep it cut to around knee/calf length but ever since she awoke as the Moon Princess, her hair seems to want to grow much farther than than of its own accord and... well it seems to get a little lighter over time. She keeps her hair up in her signature odango-and-pig-tail style on either side of her head. The hair style is held to together painstakingly with hair bands and bobby pins, all of which come out when she goes to sleep. Sometimes she’ll wear her hair in two low pigtails when she sleeps but more often than not, she lets her hair loose.
♡  DO THEY SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THEIR HAIR  /  GROOMING? Hahahahahahahhahaha. What do you think? YES. Usagi’s hair is one of the few things she puts real effort into. Her hairstyle itself takes a lot of time to do (She’s got the thing down to a science but it still takes her around 10 minutes and would take anyone else a LOT longer), not to mention what she does to keep her hair healthy. Usagi has a whole basket of hair products in her room, ranging from shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, and oils. Maintaining all that hair is hard, okay?
♡  DOES YOUR MUSE CARE ABOUT THEIR APPEARANCE  /  WHAT OTHERS THINK?  Yes and no. She definitely cares what she looks like. She loves fashion and putting together outfits so she looks kawaii wherever she’s going (this also counts work as an adult, she will be the girl in the office wearing the cutest blouse and skirt combo with a pair of adorable kitten heels and this will clearly fool everyone into thinking she can adult). But she doesn’t really do that because she cares what others think. She does that for herself, to make herself happy. And if people happen to think she looks good, well that’s a plus. She can be a little vain like that, but who isn’t?
♡   PREFERENCES.
INDOORS OR OUTDOORS? outdoors
RAIN OR SUNSHINE? sunshine
FOREST OR BEACH? beach
PRECIOUS METALS OR GEMS? gems
FLOWERS OR PERFUMES? flowers
PERSONALITY OR APPEARANCE? personality
BEING ALONE OR BEING IN A CROWD? being in a crowd
ORDER OR ANARCHY?  order
PAINFUL TRUTHS OR WHITE LIES? painful truths
SCIENCE OR MAGIC?  magic
PEACE OR CONFLICT? peace
NIGHT OR DAY? day
DUSK OR DAWN? dusk
WARMTH OR COLD? warmth
MANY ACQUAINTANCES OR A FEW CLOSE FRIENDS?  a few close friends
READING OR PLAYING A GAME? GIVE ME GAMES OR GIVE ME DEATH
♡   QUESTIONNAIRE.
♡ WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR MUSE’S BAD HABITS? HAHAHAHA. Okay do y’all even have TIME to read this? Seriously, there are a lot. To name the biggest bad habit of hers, it’s over-indulgence. Usagi shamelessly indulges in EVERYTHING she loves to the point of excess sometimes. She’s banned from a couple buffets because of her eating habits, the girl is a black hole for food, and will eat whatever she wants to eat. She wastes money on food, mostly junk food because she doesn’t cook.
Despite the fact that she can’t cook, she will buy ANY cute appliance available for the kitchen that she can. Hello Kitty Toaster? Got it. Sailor Senshi chopsticks? GOT THE WHOLE SET (of course for when everyone comes over, they can eat with their designated chopsticks, duh). Mickey Mouse Waffle Maker? BOUGHT (Girl doesn’t know how to make waffle batter). Every single cup she owns has a character on if from some anime, movie, or manga. She even has commemorative Sailor Senshi cups too. Oh you thought it ended with the chopsticks? NOPE. She spends money on plushies, pillows, pens, bags, etc, of her and her friends and does it QUITE HAPPILY. Of course, the thing she buys the most of (besides herself)? Tuxedo Mask. Tuxedo Mask plushies. A Tuxedo Mask pillow case for a body pillow (listen don’t judge her), the rare Tuxedo Mask action figure and the Tuxedo Mask vibr-.... Well let’s just say that she doesn’t only buy every day items with his brand.
A lot of her indulgence has to do with money because she has no impulse control. If she sees a cute thing, she wants it, she buys it. Be it items or clothes. And whatever she buys usually ends up... Well, not put away. Usagi can be pretty messy (it’s a system that works for her, okay), to put it simply. And she’s messy because, to put it quite frankly, she’s kind of lazy. She’s a queen procrastinator who prefers to play games, read manga, doodle, and SLEEP rather than do homework or chores. Usagi would rather do anything under the sun except her responsibilities and everyone who knows her knows this. Boy, do they know this.
That being said, when she is facing her responsibilities as Sailor Moon, she does almost a complete 180. The Earth is her responsibility to protect and she will do anything she has to to keep it safe. Even if it means sacrificing herself. Despite how selfish she can act with certain things (food mostly, she’s like Joey, JOEY DOESN’T SHARE FOOD), Usagi will give herself to save a life in an instant. No hesitation. Because to her every life is precious. The world is precious. So if she has to use her crystal to the point where she has no life energy left to defeat someone evil or divert an asteroid, she will. If she has to throw herself into an abyss to defeat an enemy and save everyone else, she will.
You may be asking yourself why I wrote that all out. “Altruism is a good thing!” I did it because the level of altruism she displays is destructive. To herself. She is so willing to save everyone that if she sees her own demise as the only way to keep everyone else from dying, she will let herself die. And that’s not giving up. Giving up would be going without a fight. Usagi is gonna fight until her very last breath and that’s gonna be what takes her. Unless someone can come up with a way to save everyone where she won’t have to do that, there’s no stopping her, either.
♡ HAS YOUR MUSE LOST ANYONE CLOSE TO THEM? HOW HAS IT AFFECTED THEM? Yes and no. Usagi and her friends have all died more than once. Losing them and Mamoru the first time it happened was absolutely devastating to her. She still has nightmares of seeing their bodies lifelessly laying in the snow. Of watching Mamoru, her prince, die in her arms and then be taken away from her only to become a pawn for the enemy.
The first deaths are the hardest to get over.
And then watching one by one as her friends were taken by the Black Moon (she only BARELY saved Venus, if she didn’t have Mina-P with her, she doesn’t know if she would have been able to go on like she did), her future daughter was corrupted so heinously that she took her own father hostage for her own amusement, and then Sailor Pluto’s death.
I won’t even get into how Galaxia practically vaporized Mamoru in front of her and she was so traumatized that she wiped it from her own memory and was convinced he got on the plane to America. Or how Galaxia also did the same to her friends. There are nights Usagi wakes up in tears with the awful inability to breathe and the only thing that can calm her down is hearing their voices.
She clings tight to Mamoru when anyone gives him an all too appreciative lingering look (seriously, the man is too pretty for his own good, he attracts so many bad guys) because god forbid they end up turning out to be something evil and try to take him away from her.
The long and the short of it is that Usagi definitely has some form of PTSD. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
♡ WHAT ARE SOME FOND MEMORIES YOUR MUSE HAS? Usagi had a sunny life and continues to live wearing rose-tinted glasses even when she has to stop and save the world now and then. She has so many fond memories of growing up like playing dress up with her mom,  meeting Naru in primary school, playing in parks and going to the beach with her family. She has even fonder memories of meeting her best friends, her sisters in arms, in middle school.
And, despite how it ended, sometimes Usagi likes to think on some of the memories from her past life in the Silver Millennium. How she and the senshi would spend day after day with each other. Memories of her mother doting on her and of extravagant balls held in opulent ballrooms. Memories of meeting the beautiful prince of Earth and of the first time she felt his lips on hers.
She has an awful lot to sort through.
♡ IS IT EASY FOR YOUR MUSE TO KILL?  Hell no. She struggles with that idea. The only time she kills is when the enemy has shown their truest form and she has no choice. Otherwise, Usagi will do her damnedest to save everyone. The bad guy included. Because everyone deserves a second chance to do the right thing.
♡ WHAT’S IT LIKE WHEN YOUR MUSE BREAKS DOWN?  Usagi is known for being a crybaby. We establish this early on when we meet her. So one would think her break downs are loud and dramatic because that’s how she is when she cries. That’s... Not strictly true though. When Usagi breaks down, really breaks down, its because she’s holding onto her pain quietly. Usagi breaks down with silent tears and full body sobs. She breaks down with trembling hands and their white knuckle grip on her pillow that she’s holding against her face to muffle when she can’t be quiet anymore.
She breaks down alone.
When someone finds her and tries to comfort her, it can go one of two ways, either she’ll just keep letting it out and allow herself to be comforted, or she’ll suck it all back in, put a stopper in it and assure whomever it is that she’s fine, really, she was just crying because Lawsons didn’t have any more red velvet cake, honestly.
When Usagi breaks down, she’s at her lowest emotionally, usually feeling horrible about herself. That’s a point that you’d think would be particularly difficult for her to get to right? Right?
♡ IS YOUR MUSE CAPABLE OF TRUSTING SOMEONE WITH THEIR LIFE? She literally does this all the time. Usagi is an amazing judge of character. Not counting her senshi, Usagi has put her life in the hands of people that her allies considered untrustworthy multiple times. And she was right to trust every single one of them. The first one being Tuxedo Mask, then the Outer Senshi. After that, Hotaru. Helios. The Starlights. Usagi knows when she can trust someone with her life and yes, yes, YES, she is very capable of doing it.
♡ WHAT’S YOUR MUSE LIKE WHEN THEY’RE IN LOVE? Haaaaaaaaaaaa, gosh. Usagi in love is... She loves with her whole self. Usagi is not good at hiding her emotions, even when she’s trying to hold them in. She’s the definition of ‘heart on your sleeve’ because she’s so very open with her emotions and she doesn’t know any other way to be.
When Usagi is in love, you can take one look at her with the person she loves and it’s obvious. We’re talkin’ heart eyes muthafucka. She’s clingy, likes to touch and be affectionate a lot. And, this goes back to her indulgence thing, she has no problem letting her person know she wants them when she wants them and indulging in that. She’s not subtle in anything with her love.
She is very physical in her love, but that’s because that’s how she is. But being in love is also tender. Kisses pressed into sleep warm skin, banter and giggles over breakfast (that the other person made because once again, ya girl cannot COOK), cuddling on the couch or in bed while having soft conversations or talking about their day, going out to spend the day at the park or where ever for a day date, romantic dinners in her favorite restaurants or, even better, at home. It’s secret smiles and softened eyes and soft brushes of skin. It’s being completely open and endlessly patient when the other person can’t be just yet. Usagi in love is both in-your-face and achingly tender.
And yes, I know that Usagi had heart eyes when she saw Rei. Listen. Usagi has a big heart. Like a humongous heart. She falls in love easily. She could say she’s in love with her ice cream and totally mean it, okay? Usagi loves with all of herself and that’s not just romantically. But the type of “in love” Usagi can be in, because of her heart, can seem fickle, even when it’s not to her. Just because she started loving one thing doesn’t mean she doesn’t love something else just as fiercely.

Still doing the asks?^^ What are you favorite moments in canon?
I’m ALWAYS doing asks!! But I gotta say you GOT ME WITH THIS ONE FLORA THIS IS HARD FOR ME. That being said I’ve decided to stick with Crystal, since that is where my heart lies in this fandom. This took me a while and it’s gonna be IN DEPTH. I will start from the beginning (might be slightly out of order)
• The moment they first meet. You know what I mean• When Usagi first meets Ami! I love when she first meets all the Senshi and I’ll explain why individually. When Usagi first meets Ami she immediately notices how shy and reserved she is and works to bring her out of her shell and I LOVE that!! She so willing to invite her to hang out even after just meeting her moments before.• “That Cat was talking to you just now wasn’t it”• When Usagi gets heart eyes the first time she’s sees Rei and FOLLOWS her because she thinks she’s THAT pretty• THE BUS SCENE I LOVE THE BUS SCENE TOP TEN USAGI/MAMO MOMENTS. Since Usagi has been shown to blush every time she meets Mamo-Chan early on, I think this is really the first time we see them interact normally. And I LOVE IT • “Are you in middle school too?” “No, I’m a high school student” *whips out ID* • When Usagi defends Rei after she gets accused of the disappearances• That moment when Jadeite can’t figure out why he’s so attracted to an unconscious Rei• The entirety of Masquerade Dance Party. 10/10 my favorite episode in Crystal AND the Original anime, this is the ep that solidified that I NEEDED to invest myself in this story. Literally pulled out of my fantasy dreams • That moment at the end of the same ep when we see Mako-Chan for the first time with her ADORABLE umbrella• When Usagi is stalking Mako-Chan from the tree and sneaks up behind her bench and sees her cute bento and decides she MUST be friends with her. She sees through this tough exterior that everyone talks about and promptly decides to befriend her • When Tuxedo Mask appears in Usagi’s bedroom window to get her to save the day• When Nephrite is like I’ve seen this look before right as he gets ATTACKED• When Usagi bumps into Mamoru on the street and he’s SO clearly attracted to her and Mako-Chan is like USAGI ARE YOU BLUSHING afterwards• When Usagi almost passes out in the street and Tuxedo Mask just HAPPENS to be there and gives her the most romantic pep talk ever• And proceeds to bring her back to his apartment after the battle• The whole reveal scene(which you rewrote amazingly in Ikigai I might add)• When Usagi is kissing the pocket watch and Mamoru is kissing the handkerchief • “I want you Usako” • VENUS VENUS VENUS• Usagi is SO star struck when she meets Sailor V and is even more thrilled that she’s her Princess!!!• And Usagi assures her that she doesn’t have to fight alone anymore• The moment in the park where Mamoru is so ashamed that he can’t even LOOK at Usagi and then winks at her, “Yeah, next time”• The kiss before Sailor Moon was 100% ready to give her life to save her friends(then you know what happened)• I’m ashamed to say I love to hate the moment where Sailor Moon just starts screaming painfully after Tuxedo Mask is DEAD I cry without fail every time• SERENITYS FIRST APPEARANCE •FLASHBACKS IM A SUCKER FOR THE FLASHBACKS• “I descended to that planet, time and time again, just hoping to catch glimpses of him”(officially my favorite quote in the series)•When the Shitennou can’t figure out why they recognize Tuxedo Mask• When Venus reminds the girls that they too, at one point, had been in love• When the Shitennou REMEMBER THEIR PASTS• The entire final battle with Queen Metallia, where Usagi uses all her power to defeat her with Mamo-Chan right behind her the whole time• The Senshi giving their lives so Usagi might save them all• The girls reunion on the bridge after the battle!!• The park scene where Usagi gives him back his pocket watch and Mamo-Chan gives her back her handkerchief • When Chibiusa tries to cheer up Usagi after some of the girls were kidnapped• Skipping ahead, PLUTOS FIRST APPEARANCE I LOVE PLUTO• The way you think Pluto is gonna be mad at Chibiusa for time traveling but is then just relieved to see her alive and well• Seeing Diana for the first time!! I love that kitten!!• The way Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are so utterly CONFUSED to see future versions of themselves • That awkward moment when they realize Chibiusa is in fact their daughter • Skipping ahead again, FIRST APPEARANCE OF HARUKA AND MICHIRU(aka the Hot couple)• When Usagi and Mamo-Chan are kinda having relationship issues and don’t end up talking about it until Chibiusa makes them both stay at his apartment to help her with a project • When Chibiusa PRETENDS to be asleep Bc she KNOWS they need to talk• The three of them sleeping in the same bed • Pluto’s EPIC comeback “My name is Setsuna Meiou, nice to meet you” (no joke I SCREAMED when I first saw the end of that ep!!) And her just jumping into battle in the next ep• Usagi just wanting all the Sailor Guardians to fight together • SUPER SAILOR MOON• Usagi literally jumping into the abyss to save the world• At the end of Episode 39 when the girls are all excited for high school and there’s that REALLY pretty animation with the cherry blossoms
And I think that just about covers it! I love this show so dearly and I’m currently rewatching it AGAIN. I seriously cannot wait until we get the rest of this series so I may ADD to this list. Thanks for the ask Flora!

Oooh this looks quite fun! I shall partake. I’m also a bit shy about tagging people but anyone who wants to is welcome to join in!
A couple notes on each of my choices because I have much to say about each of them!
Dungeon Meshi is one of the only pieces of media where I cannot pick a favorite character. At all. I love everyone in the main party + Falin and equal amount and agonised over which character to chose for this poll for frankly too long. Finally settled on Senshi because he’s the most iconic
It was also a little difficult to settle on The Archivist as my favorite character in TMA since the supporting characters are so good, but at the end of the day I cannot resist the incompetent asshole academic who is canonically described as a “grubby Jesus”
I have admittedly been somewhat liberal in what I have interpreted a “character” to be, in my inclusion of real life mathematician Paul Erdős in my poll. However, I stand by my decision, as many would describe him as “a character” in the sense he was quite eccentric. If you don’t believe me PLEASE read his Wikipedia page (or at least the ‘Personality’ section). Seriously it’s one of the few Wikipedia pages I’ve ever read that’s made me laugh out loud uncontrollably. Also - quirks aside- his mathematical work is very cool too! Look up the Erdos Distance problem if you want somewhere to start- mathematicians continue to be chipping away at it in the decades after Erdos’ death. My research advisor once attracted the attention of airport cops after he started jumping up and down with joy in the terminal upon receiving the news that his colleagues significantly improved the exponent of the Erdos distance problem bound. (Honestly he’s kinda a “character” too. )
Okay I now proceed to get even more liberal with the definition of “character” for the purposes of this poll. In particular, the Fourier characters of the cyclic group G = (Z_n, +) are the star blorbos of my thesis. This is because they are QUITE useful for computing the eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix of any Cayley graph on generating set S of G (specifically, the eigenvalues are the sums of Fourier characters evaluated at each of generators in S). Because they are such blorbos to me and literally called characters, I maintain they deserve a place in a character poll
Okay I finally return to a slightly more… ahem… traditional interpretation of “character” in a fandom context. The fandom in question here is my girlfriend’s D&D campaign, so not much of a broad audience. Which is a shame, because it’s WICKED good. If it was a piece of published media widely consumed on tumblr, the character of Ubiquity in particular would have a firmly cemented status as a tumblr sexyman in the most traditional possible sense. I hate the tragic grease stain of a man so much, but I hate him so affectionately that he’s also my favorite. Anyways, my girlfriend’s campaign has been going for years now, and it is by far the “fandom” I spend the most of my creative energy on thinking about- I could theorise for hours, it singlehandedly cured my art block, and I have multiple dumb AUs living rent free in my mind. All that is to say my girlfriend is an absolute world-building genius and one of my favorite writers
inspired by @1tbls et al— no one tagged me but it seemed fun and I want in
if you want to partake, make a poll with 5 of your favorite characters & tag 5 people
however I get Very Nervous about tagging folks in things like this so if you see this just consider yourself invited to join in

Alright, season finale time for My Little Pony.  I’ve been trying to avoid spoilers for this one.  No idea what’s going to happen.  So, let’s see what goes down in “Shadow Play”
* We open on the book that got the ominous sting at the end of the last episode.  So yeah, I guess we were in the finale then.
* Huh, a different set of Elements being talked about here.  OK, we’ve got Rockhoof as Strength, Flash Magnus as Bravery, Meadowbrook as Healing, Mist Mane as Beauty, Somnambula as Hope, and who I’m guessing is Star Swirl the Bearded as Sorcery.  [note to self: look up actual names]
* And apparently they had been gathered together by somepony else to embody their ideals, like the Mane 6 were.  Was this Celestia, or somepony else?
* Ooh, the gatherer was a unicorn stallion, but the ancient Elements came to believe he was just wanting to use their power for himself and so they cast him out.
* Then he became Shadow Pony, and the Pillars stood as one against him.  They beat him but had to make some kind of sacrifice to do so, and created a seed to carry hope to the future.  I wonder, was that seed the origin of the Tree of Harmony?  I’m also seeing the emergence of the sun and moon on the sides of where I have it paused right now, so maybe it’s the origins of Celestia and Luna?
* Incidentally, I am loving this lore dump.
* Oh good, Sunburst was smart enough to make a report on this directly to the Alicorn Sisters and the Mane 6.  I guess he knows who has to deal with all the destiny crap around here.
* Huh, apparently Celestia never knew what happened to Starswirl, but these were apparently his last words before vanishing.
* OK, so Celestia and Luna were around back then, but young and had only ever met Starswirl.
* Reluctant nerd hoofbump. Also, I like how Celestia doesn’t know much Old Ponish anymore due to disuse.  It’s a nice nod to what happens when you don’t use something.  I can’t imagine how bad it would be after 1000 years. I’m a bit surprised Luna isn’t more familiar with it though, given how she spent most of the time sealed away. Unless she was fully cognizant of the passage of time during those 1000 years, which is… fairly nightmareish.
* So, more to Old Ponish than she thought, actual other languages being used, or Starswirl just had horrible hornwriting.  You decide!
* Ah, sloppy writing. Only readable by somepony who is ever worse at that kind of thing.  Anyway, the last stand was at the Temple of Ponhenge at the base of Mt. Foal.  …OK, I know they try and fit in horse puns, but “Ponhenge”?  Surely they could have done better than that.
* Those ruins look nice and ruiny.  Also not much like Stonehenge, which again makes me wonder why they referenced that.
* Be careful what you wish for Twilight.  Also, be careful where you place ancient magical tomes.
* Ooooh, ancient holographic display of the final battle.  So, sealed away, and the objects each pony carried are somehow related. Well, they’ve got the book, and they know where the mask is at least, so that just leaves the flower, the blindfold, the shield, and the shovel.  Gonna be honest, might be hard finding a flower after 1000 years.
* Never underestimate Twilight’s ability to be a nerd.
* Right, so banished to Limbo, but they had to take him there themselves and so got stuck there with him.  …Who’s gonna be the idiot to try and get them out and release the Pony of Shadows in the process?
* Twilight!  Twilight shall be that idiot!  Come over here so I can slap you!
* RD does not like demonstrative models.
* Boo!  The Map stepping in to help the search is cheating! Although this might be seen as the Tree of Harmony trying to get its parents back.  Kinda touching if you think of it like that.
* Skeptical archeologist is skeptical.  Somepony should tell her she’s in a fantasy series.
* Had no idea AJ was that strong.  Oh well, Shovel Get!
* Rarity’s problem to overcome is crappy gardening?  I can’t say I think much of Mist Mane’s descendant if it never occurred to her to, you know, perform upkeep.  Or hire others to do it.  Heck, just apply for a government grant if money’s the problem, that place has got to be a historical site, and once you attract tourists you can get money for, you know, upkeep.  Flower Get.
* Actually Flash Magnus’ shield being in the Dragon Lands makes quite a bit of sense.  It was made to combat dragons after all.  Makes sense that either it would accidentally get left behind after an expedition, or stolen by the dragons to keep it from being used.
* Also, neat to see a Spike/RD teamup, even if it’s likely gonna last a minute or two of screentime.
* Ugh, seriously, Garble has it?  Somepony just kick that idiot in the face so this can be over with.
* Garble is stupidest dragon.  Seriously, he just got outwitted by Rainbow Dash.  Well regardless, Shield Get.
* Fluttershy… just help to move the zap bee hive, and didn’t even need to do that to get the mask. She just felt like it.  But then arguably her trial was a few episodes ago anyway.  Mask Get.
* Pinkie’s trail… was very Pinkie.  And that ooze was a lot less dangerous then they made it out to be.  Um, Blindfold get?
* How is Starlight the voice of reason with regards to the risk involved in this plan?
* Why didn’t Pinkie wash that thing before bringing it >P
* Oh, gee, Starswirl is horrified that somepony broke the seal what are the odds?
* Way to summon the ancient evil, Twilight.
And there’s the end of episode 1.  Time for a stretch and snack I think.  Let’s all go to the lobby, let’s all go to the lobby…
 * Yeah, having a backup plan in case the ancient evil escaped as well would have been a great idea, Twilight.  You still have that slap coming.
* Twilight and Starlight are able to hold the PoS back with a double tech… but can’t stop him from escaping at the speed of dark.  Nice going, Twilight.
* On one hoof, having the person you’ve revered all your life give you the dirtiest look for your incompetence must suck.  On the other, she really has this coming.
* Heh, Pinkie pointing out all of the other threats they’ve had to save Equestria from is a good one. And I like how Magnus is totally down for teaming up with the modern heroes to beat PoS into submission.  But Starswirl is going to be an absolute grumpy gus about this.
* Yay, source of Tree of Harmony, and the Elements, confirmed!
* And now Starswirl is planning on sacrificing the Elements to seal PoS again.  Despite the cost to Equestria.  Yeah, getting Outer Senshi vibes from this guy.  Which is a shame, because all of the other Pillars seem to be perfectly nice and affable ponies willing to work together.
* And Twilight’s search for a different solution… just has keeping the Pillars around while still sacrificing the Elements.  And yeah, the Pillars made the elements, but did so over a long incubation period. Try following Starlight’s advice and look for a non-banishment solution, stupid.
* Kinda funny how the heroes are having trouble tracking PoS down because Equestria is a better place, so all of the old dens of darkness are just fine these days.
* Starswirl needs to get his head outta his flank.
* I think some offense was taken.
* Yeah, the narrative is leaning pretty hard against Starswirl and towards Starlight here. Especially with the whole “Once a villain, always a villain” bit.
* Thank you, Starlight, for actually asking what happened all those years ago.
* Huh, Sirens confirmed as series canon.  Odd. Mind you I don’t know that much about them as I’ve never watched the movies, but some things are unavoidable knowledge if you hang out online in the fanbase.
* The PoS’s name was Stygian?  Man, it’s like his parents wanted him to go supervillain.
* So Stygian gathered them together to fight evil, but got jealous.  At one point he stole their artifacts to work some spell or another, but was discovered before actually finishing and was cast out.  And when he came back he did so as Dark Death Evil Man. But as Starlight helps to point out, they don’t know what exactly he had been trying to accomplish with his spell, though their guess is stealing their power.
* Yeah, Starlight has had enough of Starswirl’s crap.
* Now I’m wondering who build the temple to the Shadows, as apparently it already existed before Stygian came upon it.  Also, never listen to the mythos spoken from the depths of the Earth, dude.
* Oh look, there’s more to the story than meets the eye, who could have guessed.
* Well, Twilight’s been holding the idiot ball all finale thus far, but at least she noticed the pony of Stygian within the Pony of Shadows.  Not sure diving in was the right idea though.
* OK, Stygian’s side comes out, he wanted to make copies of their artifacts in the hope it would make him a Pillar and he could join the battles.  That’s still something you really need to talk about before you go stealing stuff.
* Rainbow Friendship Lasso Beam go!
* So The Shadows are banished, but Stygian remains.  Happy end!
* Aw, Starswirl commenting on how tall Celestia got is cute!  And Luna asking not to have to turn in the essays they were supposed to 1000 years ago is just funny.
* Can’t blame the Pillars for wanting to see what’s changed over the course of a millennia.  Of course there’s the problem of nopony’s gonna believe who they are.
And that’s the end of the season.  It was pretty good all things considered.  Although this ending does make one question how things are going to work out with the non-reformed villains.  OK, Sombra isn’t likely to be a problem, but he is still awkward in that they killed him all kinds of dead.  But the new characters introduced seem decent enough now that we actually get to see them in something other than tales.  And I’m still curious about who built the shrine to the Shadows.  Evil cultist ponies!
Also, I may not care much about shipping debates and all that, but I can definitely see Rainbow Dash/Flash Magnus being a thing.  At the very least they’re certainly chummy with each other.

Nostalgia Glasses: Sailor Moon (Part 3): Season 1, Episodes 23 - 33
So, a reminder about how this series works.
I will be looking at these episodes without wearing rose tinted glasses and openly criticize what I do and don’t like about each episode. I will be skipping past any filler episodes, this means that I will be skipping past any episodes that don’t directly relate to the plot of develop more aspects of each character than we have already established. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Episode 23 - Naru’s First Love
This episode was the turning point for Nephrite’s character. He starts off by taking advantage of Naru’s love for him but by the end he starts to realize that human love isn’t something that can be taken or controlled. Naru ends up protecting him from Usagi’s tiara, even if it would mean her own life would be at risk. He, in turn, protects her from a youma that’s attempting to kill her. It’s a good example of a sympathetic villain who starts off very abusive.
Now the biggest criticism I have here is that Nephrite’s entire character arc happens over two episodes instead of happening over the filler that’s really easily skipped without missing anything.
This episode also brings up themes of infatuation and abusive relationships. Naru doesn’t realize that Nephrite is using her to get the crystal and Usagi is attempting to tell her that he’s not a good guy. In fact it isn’t until she protects him from death that he becomes sympathetic towards her and actually seems to care about her.
They even treat the themes of infatuation really well in this episode. It’s stated in this episode that Naru only really loves Nephrite because he’s really attractive and has shown her, and her alone, false kindess at various points.
Episode 24 - Nephrite Dies for Love
So going into this episode I want to bring one very important thing up about Japanese culture, and something we could learn from it here in the west. Now before I get into this I want to say that I know that Japan is not a perfect country and there are many flaws with the way it runs, much like any other country. Though they do have a few censorship laws that I like.
So, this episode shows a 14 year old girl in the complete nude. It shows her entire body but what it doesn’t do is sexualize it. This is the biggest difference between western culture and Japanese culture, the West has this cultural taboo against nudity, I’m not going to get into everything, but even non-sexualized nudity will bring a show’s rating up to 14+ (or 14a in America). In Japan however, the censorship laws don’t make this a taboo in their fiction and this show can still be a family series.
Now getting on to the actual episode...
Some people could criticize this episode for having a damsel in distress plot halfway through but on the other hand it’s actually having a male character sacrifice his life to save the girl he loves. It’s not until this episode that he really starts to have feelings for her and understand what love is, but at the same time it is his redemption episode, he dies so that somebody else might live on. Turning a damsel in distress plot into a very well written tragic romance.
I always remembered Nephrite the most out of any villain I’d seen in fiction up to this point because he was the first sympathetic villain I’d seen since I started really taking fiction seriously. Up until this point I’d been watching really bad kids shows because they were on, but along with getting easy access to the internet I also came across anime for the first time in 7 years.
The dramatic timing in this episode is perfect though. When Nephrite enters to save Naru he looks intimidating, he fights near flawlessly and ends up rescuing her from the three Youma that have captured her. The pacing in the next few scenes in spot on as Naru brings him into a little park to wrap his wounds in some of the fabric from her pajamas. They have a conversation about starting a legitimate relationship and just as things start to seem like they’ll go right for them and he might actually become a better person for her, he takes an attack meant for her.
This leads to him telling her to run so that he can die without her having to see hit happen but she refuses and starts to pull the weapon from his chest. The Youma tells her it’s impossible but using all the strength she can muster while simultaneously being electrocuted she nearly pulls the weapon out. This is of course before they’re attacked again. Nephrite shields her this time and takes the entirety of the attack, again. He insists that she runs but before the Youma can kill them the Senshi arrive and save them. But it’s too late for Nephrite and we get a heartfelt goodbye of him apologizing for all the times he’s lied to and manipulated Naru, showing that his true character was honest and compassionate and that in another world they could have been a healthy couple. With those thoughts in your mind the episode ends and this song starts to play:

I love this episode so much.
Episode 25: The Brawny Girl in Love
So, this episode introduces both Sailor Jupiter and the moon scepter
I still like Jupiter’s character a lot. It’s obvious from her first episode that she feels very self conscious about her height. Though she seems to go for the same type of guy who would say things like “massive girls like her aren’t my type” instead of giving her a chance. This leads to her being a hopeless romantic. By the way she reacts to the way he turned her down we can safely assume that she lost it when she was turned down the first time and attacked the guy. Getting herself expelled form her past school and moved to this one, where she would practice more restraint. She’s a lot more aggressive with complete strangers than any of the other main characters as shown by the way she reacts when Usagi is spying on her, this being in her nature makes it so that she doesn’t understand why people see her as unapproachable. She also shows that when somebody she either idolizes or loves is in danger that she’s willing to fight to protect them, and that she’s physically strong enough to lift between 100 and 200 pounds of weight over her head.
In other words, she’s tall, strong, and aggressive yet compassionate.
She’s very deep from her first episode and this episode was really meant to both introduce her and develop her character.
Episode 26: The Power of Friendship
So, I may start using the western title on few of these because they’re generally better and don’t just give out the episode’s plot in them starting this episode.
So this episode revolves around Usagi attempting to cheer up Naru after a couple weeks had passed since Nephrite died. Now I want to bring up that well this was airing in Japan, this happened over a couple of weeks in real time, it’s pretty awesome how they made the series match up with real time as it aired.
This episode also gives us a bit more exposition about the Great Youma and serves to develop Mamoru’s character a bit more. When it comes to the villain of the week, well, I wish we could have seen this priest throughout the rest of the series. I mean we see him in the RPG, which I may cover later. It would have been nice to see Naru try to turn to something like the church to try and cope with Nephrite’s death, which for this episode she does. But it would have given her a bit more character in the end.
This episode is also a good example of how Usagi is always in a constant state of “holy shit” whenever she’s fighting an enemy. She’s inexperienced and it she definitely shows it when she fights, though she can follow orders when they’re given to her. I also think she’s bipolar, but that’s neither here nor there.
Episode 27-32: More filler
Now having plot relevant happenings being filler isn’t new for this series. They did it with Ami’s introduction after all.
In these episodes, we see that Ami is capable of being more than just a bookworm, but instead of physical attractiveness, intelligence is what somebody would have to use to attract her. The character in question Urawa, only does well on tests because he can see the future and therefore know what the answers to tests are. He also doesn’t canonically show up again and only really makes an appearance in the RPG after this. Another one has Usagi and Mamoru being forced to model together for an artist. Another one has Usagi and Makoto realizing that the guy they have a crush on has a girlfriend. Then we get Umino dressing as Tuxedo Mask to try and woo Naru, saving her life in the process. The last one does reveal that Luna is from the moon (though she’s actually an ambassador from another solar system in the manga, alongside Artemis). It’s a whole lot of filler that doesn’t really push the plot forward. But then we get to...
Episode 33: Sailor V Makes the Scene
Minako is probably the most developed character in the series, save Usagi and Mamoru. She has the most episodes centering around her out of any non-Usagi senshi throughout the entire series and to be honest it’s for good reason. She’s an amazingly deep character who was actually the first Sailor Moon character to be created, she starred in her own manga serial when Sailor Moon was only in it’s infancy and honestly, it’s a really good serial that allows her character to develop even further. Why do I bring this up, well if the title of the episode didn’t give you a hint, this is her introduction episode.
So the episode revolves around Zoisite cross-dressing to masquerade as Sailor Moon in an attempt to draw Tuxedo Mask out.
This episode was probably the reason Zoisite is female in the dub, because even if the actions are portrayed as villainous, the catholic parents will get pissed off about it and that’s not something we’d want now is it. I never really got this way of thinking, if you think something is bad and a villain is portrayed doing it and these guys are obviously the bad guys, why are you mad about it. Do you have such little faith in you children that you think they’ll idolize the bad guys? Mind you they have a homosexual couple portrayed as normal in the third season, which takes the hetero-normative attitude out of this show for pretty much the rest of the series. It’s also one of the reasons that the third season is my favorite.
But what I do like about Zoisite’s disguise is that it’s made of blues and purples. In Japan, blue often represents hidden evil or a character who at first seems nice but ends up being evil by the end. And purple represents death. Both are bad things, so even by looking at the design, you could tell that they were evil. Say if Zoisite hadn’t outright stated his plan beforehand. Another thing, Zoisite has really, really nice legs.
There is, however, one animation mistake that actually made me break out in laughter. For an entire second (about 20 frames in the 90′s) they had started the animation to open her mouth and just left it until they were at the right part for her transformation sequence.
So Zoisite successfully tricks everybody and Mamoru “saves” him. Zoisite then proceeds to stab Mamoru in the shoulder, causing him to fall in pain.
So this shows the first aspect of Minako’s character that I love. Aside from being an attractive character, though I don’t want to sound like a pedophile with that statement. She’s only 14 (even though every female character in this is drawn with adult proportions) in this arc. Actually, the characters in this show are all written with the personality quirks of a 16 to 18-year-old girls rather than 14-year-old girls. Mamoru’s also only around 16, being only a couple years older than the rest of the main cast. If anything that’s something I can heavily criticize about the writing in this series. Especially when it comes down to things like Naru’s infatuation with Nephrite. I also don’t want to seem perverted or pedophilic at all by saying this, but they all have rather larger breasts for 14-year-old girls and their legs are way too long.
If you want a good example of a 14-year-old character, take a look at shows like Pretty Cure. At this stage in their lives, 14-year-old girls don’t necessarily have a bust the size of any of the characters in this show. The design works with characters like Uranus and Neptune due to them having gotten through puberty. Hell, by the time the fifth season rolls around they’re 18-years-old, which is now the age of majority in japan.
Sorry about that, I do have a few gripes with this show and the fact that the main cast have adult figures kind of peeves me.
Anyway, getting back on track, she’s very confident when she’s transformed into Sailor Venus. Nobody knows who she is and she doesn’t nervous like she does when she’s not in costume. She’s also willing to break fingers to save her allies. She shoots straight through both Zoisite’s and Kunzite’s hands to stop them from harming others, this means that she’s not afraid to get violent if the need arises. Yet she’s vastly different when we see her in her everyday life.
It’s also nice to see how Usagi reacts to meeting her idol.
Overall this was a good episode, even if it does bring up a few of the things that really peeve me about this show.

NOTES: So this fic was a loooooong time coming. Sailor Moon was my first anime, waaaaaay back when there were maybe three anime on TV at all, and one that remains extremely dear to my heart. As with so many of my faves, I always feel a little gunshy about attempting fic in that genre, which is why it's taken me until now to take a walk through the Moon Kingdom. It was very satisfying in many ways.
These outtakes were a lot of fun – this whole fic was! Thanks to all the reviewers again (especially those who also love Makoto - thank you for the validation)! Hope you guys liked it, and liked celebrating Hanukkah with me! Stay tuned for Yule, and eventually Christmas!

Act 6. NG (outtakes)
Usagi felt her heart pounding as she walked into the kitchen, where Ikuko Tsukino was standing by the stove. Somehow, the woman looked different than usual. Her eyes were distant and forlorn, mouth turned down in a worried frown. The way her tone had sounded calling for her was what got her adrenaline rushing behind her ears; her mother never sounded worried like that when she called for her.
"Mom? What's wrong?"
"Usagi…" Her face was a little flushed as she raised the magazine to show her the page it was open to. Usagi's cheeks darkened to the same shade, and surpassed it into an even deeper rouge. "Can you please explain this to me?"
Swallowing hard, she turned away, trying her best not to think about how much her face was burning. "M-Mom, I didn't think… you went through my room? And found it?"
"You left it open on your table. All these dog-ears in the pages; you're not just flipping through it. This is something you're into. I didn't… I mean, this isn't usual. Is it? Your mother is a bit old-fashioned, but…"
"No, no, you're right; I don't…" In a whisper, she said, "Don't tell anybody? Please? I know it's weird, but I'm not ready for all my friends to know I'm like that."
"Well, I… I mean, were you planning on exploring this sometime? Of all people, I didn't think my own little girl…" Her hand gestured to the page, a weak laugh falling from her lips. "This is just very strange to me, and I'm not sure how it would even work for you."
It took a lot of bravery for her to whisper, "Actually, Mom… I wanted to try it with you."
"What?" The roundness of her eyes hurt Usagi; she didn't think this would ever come up, let alone be talked about in such detail! But the cat was out of the bag now.
"Like you said, I'm not sure how to do that. Really don't have any clue. So if you could help me… teach me what you know…" She approached hesitantly, hands coming up, pulling back, then finishing their movement to rest on Ikuko's forearm. "You have to be better at this than me. I mean, look at the proof!" She gestured to herself.
"Usagi…" Her hand came up to cup her daughter's cheek. "This is very unexpected, but I can't deny… I'm very curious. And interested."
"You are?! I thought you would… laugh, or be ashamed of me."
"No, no. Well, it's very strange to me, but I suppose I don't mind trying something new. With you."
Ikuko leaned closer and pressed her lips into her forehead, and Usagi sighed, thinking it had been so long since she felt the softness of her mother's kiss. She sighed, leaning up into it, heart soaring on wings at her mother's acceptance. Sometimes, your parents really could surprise you.
"Alright. So, um… I guess you saw the jeans are pretty basic, might have to dye them turquoise? Orange socks, I can borrow those from Minako… gloves shouldn't be a huge problem, or the shoes; I think I have some like those. But I don't know about the little black vest. I mean, do they sell those?"
Leaning over the counter to look at the page with her daughter, she said, "I'm sure we can alter a normal-sized vest. I just… please, please tell me you aren't going to cut your beautiful hair just to look like this manga character. I know children like to dress up for parties and things, but that's too far!"
"Well, it's cosplay, Mom." Seeing the obvious confusion, she went on, "It's not just for children; I know that's probably why you were so wigged, but I promise, lots of grown-up people do this, too. And Naru and I want to go to one of the conventions, and… I dunno, I thought I might look good in this!"
"As I said, I'm not going to judge you," she said in a carefully patient tone, still looking a bit embarrassed. Maybe it was secondhand, or maybe she had felt slightly ashamed that her daughter was seriously contemplating doing something she thought to be immature. "And if you really want to do this, I will support you all the way. Unless you cut your hair!"
Smiling at her mother's concern, she reached up to pat her shoulder consolingly. "No, no, I was going to try to style it that way without cutting it. Like, maybe some bobby pins? I think we can do it. And if not, there's always wigs."
"Are you sure you couldn't cosplay as someone more wholesome? She looks like some kind of loose woman…"
"Actually, she's an android! Do you wanna know her backstory? She's pretty rad!"
Ikuko clearly didn't. But she did listen patiently, and helped to plot how they would fashion the costume with her daughter. Maybe it wasn't the ideal way for her, and Usagi felt the same way, but they were both glad of an opportunity to reconnect after feeling such a gulf between them — especially now that she had a secret identity that her mother could never know anything about. At the very least, this was something they could do together as a family.
                                                            ~ X ~
"Serenity, I've waited so long to find you," Tuxedo Mask breathed as he swept in through the window to land deftly on the carpet, slowly removing the white eyemask and revealing himself. "It is I, Mamoru Chiba. I know I have deceived you, and for that, I'm sorry… but now, I have at last remembered our past. You and I were destined to b-"
"What?"
His eyelashes fluttered as he saw Usagi's head raise from where it had been pointed down at a shojo manga, legs gently kicking over her back as she lay on her stomach. Apparently, she had been so absorbed in the reading material that she had missed part of his announcement. "Well… I've remembered something. We were destined for each other. I, Prince Endymion, and you, Princess Serenity. Our reign over the… I'm sorry, am I distracting you from something?"
"Yeah. It's just getting really good." Her finger poked at the pages as she looked back down at them. "Dunno, I think the grandma might be coming back. Really gonna shake things up!"
"Usako, I'm trying to tell you that I'm in love with you."
"Oh, that? Yeah… no thanks. I'm a lesbian."
"What?!"
"Lesbian. You know, yuri? Girls' Love?" Her index and middle finger pushed against the corners of her mouth and her tongue flicked out and flailed up and down. It was lewd, but it got the point across. "Get it? Nothing against you, Chiba-san, but I'm not buying what you're selling. Sorry!"
Clearing his throat, Mamoru glanced between the window and the bed where Usagi was lounging easily. His mind seemed to be taking its sweet time absorbing this new information. Then he tried for a patient smile. "Oh. Well… I beg you to reconsider. Our destiny…"
"Whatever, bro. Destiny doesn't get to tell me who to date, and I can't pretend to be attracted to you if I'm not. Biology doesn't work that way. Also, isn't it kind of creepy jumping into a junior high girl's bedroom in the middle of the night? Somebody should call the police."
"Well, uh, it's not creepy if you wanted me here! But if you don't, I suppose I'll… get out of your way…"
"Thanks. Oh, but hang on!" Hopping up from the bed, she pranced over to him with a small smile. "Actually, there is something you could do for me."
"Yes, my love?"
"Teach me that thing where you throw roses! Like, she'd really flip her lid if I could do that out of nowhere like you do, and it might be enough to get me to second base!"
"Ehrm… with who?" But when her finger wagged back and forth, he guessed, "You're… not going to tell me?"
"Can't risk you blabbing, now, can I? Gotta try working my magic first! Anyway, thanks for stopping by — and think it over! We can still help each other out saving the world from the Dark Kingdom and all that, right?"
Laughing, he scratched the back of his neck as she began gently shoving him toward the open window. "Yes, of course. The Legendary Silver Crystal is of the utmost-"
"Yeah, yeah, crystals. I'll put in a good recommendation to one of the other Senshi; some of them like boys, so hey, keep hope alive!"
Then she was slamming the window shut behind him. Tuxedo Mask only spared himself a moment to shake his head out, trying to rid himself of that dazed feeling before he took off into the night.
                                                            ~ X ~
Never before had a hand so strong caressed Usagi's face the way Haruka Tenou's was. It shouldn't have been possible; not even Mamoru's touch soothed her this way. What was happening in her brain? Every atom of herself was alive, her heart thudding against her chest like a fist pounding on a door. If something didn't happen soon…
"Haruka… are you a man? Or are you a woman?" That was one thing she needed to know.
"Man, woman…" Haruka leaned down to bring their faces closer, messy blonde hair swishing in front of her eyes, lips twitching into a lazily confident smile before she spoke again. "What difference does it make?"
That clenched it. There was no point in saying anything like that if she were a man; most boys she'd ever met would say something like "I'll show you I'm a man!" in response to a question like that. Fragile masculinity wouldn't let them be labelled a woman for even an instant. Besides…
This close, she could smell her. Maybe she wasn't as sweetly perfumed as her friends, or her mother, but she definitely used a floral body wash. Even her sweat seemed feminine.
And she tasted equally feminine when they connected. What a kiss! It mixed her up inside, feeling soft lips being pushed so firmly into her own, the strength and the tenderness blasting her with conflicting signals. She was kissing a girl! But it still felt like a boy-kiss! Maybe that was because she was the same height as Mamoru, and probably stronger. Her hands slid up Haruka's jacket lapels and tugged her closer, opening her lips to prove that she was not afraid, was ready to be kissed like this. What on earth was this feeling…?
Then she felt the connection being shifted to one side. Usagi tried to lean with the motion, to maintain their tryst, but eventually she couldn't, so she was forced to open her eyes and find out what was the matter.
"I'll tell you what difference it makes!" Michiru shouted at Haruka as she dragged her away by the ear. "You know that tonight is our date night — you were supposed to take me out for French cuisine! And instead, I find you Frenching another girl!"
"Ow, owowow!" Haruka protested, finally wrestling out of her girlfriend's grip. "Hey, I still had plenty of time! We weren't supposed to meet at the restaurant for five hours!"
Michiru folded her arms and glared up at her. Even though she was five inches shorter and more petite, and her soft waves of teal hair made her seem like a benevolent sea-goddess, at that moment she looked more like a towering force of nature to be reckoned with. Like a tsunami.
"I don't care if you play around with children, Haruka. It's a little unseemly, but if that's your hobby, fine. But you could at least save it for a day when we're not supposed to be together later that night! You're the only woman for me, so you could at least make me the only woman for you within a single day!"
Together?! Not only was Haruka a woman, but she was with Michiru! Like THAT! Not that it should have been much of a surprise, but Usagi had been a little too wrapped up in being kissed so sweetly to have given any thought to Haruka hanging around with Michiru all the time. What their 'friendship' might really mean.
"O-oh!" she burst out in sudden realisation. "Lesbians! I'm sorry, I didn't… I didn't mean t-to interfere, I'll just…"
The smile on Haruka's face when she glanced back toward Usagi was a bit wicked, but mostly fond. "Maybe we could bring her with us tonight. Double our fun and excitement."
"Hmph," Michiru scoffed, turning her face away. "One would almost get the impression that one wasn't that important to you anymore if you already need to spice up our relationship with a third wheel."
Usagi felt her ears going red. What were they discussing?!
"Baby, don't be like that," Haruka said earnestly, kneeling at Michiru's feet and clasping one of her hands. "You know that at the end of the day, no one else could hold my attention the way you do. I'm yours for all eternity."
Both Michiru and Usagi melted and cooed "Awwww!" Hearing she hadn't been alone, Michiru did briefly glare at Usagi, but then when she turned to see her lover was still gazing only at her, the glare softened and she reluctantly smiled.
"Alright. I suppose… Usagi is rather sweet, for a baby gay. But look, don't touch. She has the Earth Prince, remember, you homewrecker?"
"I'm not a baby!" Usagi muttered, mostly to herself. "I'm barely two years younger than you guys!"
"Oh?" she giggled, casting her dazzling blue eyes in Usagi's direction. The thrill that shot through her body was not a subtle or a moderate one. "Then you do want to come along tonight? We should probably warn you, after dinner, things are likely to get… a little intense."
About five minutes had passed before Usagi could move or think again. By that point, both of the mysterious Mugen Gakuen students had long departed, leaving her a quivering mess of burgeoning homosexuality.
                                                            ~ X ~
"Miss Haruna?" Usagi Tsukino whispered hesitantly as she edged into the classroom. "I… know I'm a little late for my detention, but I can explai-"
"Oh, you ravishing creature."
"H-Haruna-sensei?"
Slowly, her voluptuous frame turned, long waves of auburn hair bouncing lightly as she faced her student, hazel eyes shimmering with emotion. "How many hours I have stared across the room, wishing to take your hands into mine and kiss them… to show you the depth of my heart. But circumstance holds us apart from one another! Oh, cruel fate, why do you thwart me so?"
Usagi was frozen just inside the door. This couldn't be happening. Her teacher, Haruna Sakurada, was really confessing her feelings? It was so unexpected! Especially since she had literally never spent a single moment entertaining the idea of any romantic connection between her and the dazzling instructor. On the other hand, she was passionate, and beautiful, and not that much older than her for a teacher…
"M-m-m-miss Haruna, I… y-you really feel…?" Her face was turning slowly redder as she backed up to the wall, heart thudding in her throat. "B-but we're both women, and I'm y-your student, and we-"
"Hm?" The teacher's expression clarified, and she blinked a few times. "Miss Tsukino, what are you doing here?"
"Huh? B-but I have detention today, don't I?"
"No, it's tomorrow." Then she suddenly took a long step backward to sit on her desk. "Wait, how long have you been standing there?!"
Squeaking in alarm at the sharpness in Haruna-sensei's tone, she said, "I d-dunno, a minute?"
"NO! You can't have overheard my rehearsal!"
"Rehearsal?" Glancing at the desk, she saw a stack of printed pages, stapled at one corner and folded back. A script? "Wh-what…?"
Now it was Haruna's face that was red, and she was pushing her hands into her cheeks. "Please never tell anyone! I'm auditioning for a local production, it's… oh, I'm so embarrassed!" Turning away fully, she snapped, "Y-you can consider tomorrow's detention taken care of if you promise to keep this a secret!"
"Y-yes, of course, Haruna-sensei! I will!"
All the way down the hallway, Usagi felt like a complete idiot as she sprinted on flailing feet. How could she have possibly thought those words were intended for her?! How conceited her poor bun-head was! The sooner she could forget this whole incident, the better.
                                                            ~ X ~
"Yes, Usagi Tsukino," Dark Lady purred as she reached out to grasp Sailor Moon's face, caressing her tear-stained, flushed cheeks. "I was once your pathetic Chibiusa. But now… I have transcended that form. Thanks to the power of the Black Moon, I can now remove you from my life. Take Mamoru for my own. And you are powerless to stop it."
Usagi had to swallow hard to keep her heart from racing ahead of her. She found herself leaning closer and closer to the gorgeous face above her, breathing, "Chibiusa…"
"My name is Dark Lady now, Moon Face." But their lips were getting closer and closer. "W-wait, what are you doing? Stop, don't you understand your position? You've lost! Both your love and y- STOP IT!"
But Usagi was already blowing into Chibiusa's nose. The taller, glamorous version of her future daughter squawked and tried to push her away, but it was no use; Usagi had latched on and formed a perfect seal around the tiny nose, which was causing a harsh razzing noise to issue from her open mouth, since the air had nowhere else to go.
"AAGH!" she finally gasped out when she had freed herself, both hands rubbing at her nose and her mouth to rid them of the lingering discomfort. "That's disgusting! How dare y- wait, let go of me, let go!"
Bending her over her knee, Usagi shouted, "And THIS is for thinking we didn't love you! Silly little brat, you can't marry your father and destroy the universe! If you take him away from me, how are you even gonna be born? That doesn't make any sense!"
Every time her hand crashed into Dark Lady's behind, she called out "AH!" or "NO!" until the tears began to fall. Not long afterward, her slender supermodel body began to shrink down into the chubby child that Usagi had come to know and find annoying.
"There, there," she whispered gently as she drew her up into a tight hug, letting her bawl into her shoulder. "It's okay, Chibiusa. It's okay. Mommy's not going anywhere."
"You're not M-Mommy! You're just a dumb… dumb Bun-head I… I'm s-so sad and my b-butt hurts!"
With a little chuckle, she kissed the side of her head. "I know, I know. Your mom from the future's a thousand years older and probably way smarter… but I'm still her. We both love you and want you to be happy. And if you think killing me and everyone else is going to do that…"
The tears only got louder. Somewhere in all her blubbering, Usagi heard the word "sorry" being screamed, so she smiled to herself as she cradled Chibiusa close.
"Shhhh. It's alright, sweetie. Everything's going to be alright."
Well, once they took care of Wiseman and the Black Moon, of course. But things were already looking up. How difficult could they be?
                                                            ~ X ~
"Actually, I'm serious. You have Sailor V right here, in your room, ready to listen. What have you always wanted to tell her?" Turning around, she caught sight of the comfortable bench in front of Usagi's vanity and took a seat — though she kept her posture erect, hoping that was how a "superhero" would sit. "Go on."
"Well… no, I couldn't." But Minako didn't flinch, or do anything other than sit patiently. So eventually, Usagi sat on the edge of her bed, looking down at her knees. "You really want to hear all that?"
"Of course. Sailor V fights to protect the world in the name of love and justice! What her fans think of her is very important, too."
The blush was coming back now that they weren't tittering so much. After a few seconds of kicking her legs back and forth, toes skimming over the pink area rug, she finally whispered, "I… oh, this is so lame! I'M so lame!"
"You're not. I promise. Come on, tell me anything."
"Well, alright." Clearing her throat, she straightened her back and forced herself to be brave. "I'm actually not Sailor Moon."
"What?" Minako's eyes narrowed behind her mask. "I mean… what are you talking about? Of course you are."
"Actually, I just start the transformation sequence flashing, and then I call for my stunt double. Serena?" Another blonde with pigtails emerged from inside Usagi's closet, waving bashfully. "Look how cute she is. Seriously, can you believe how cute?!"
One of Sailor V's fingers raised, then lowered again as her mouth opened and closed. No, she definitely didn't have the words for this. So she asked the only thing she could think to ask right off the cuff: "Where… does she live? Like, you can't seriously expect me to believe she just sits in your closet until the world needs Sailor Moon?"
"Ohhh, don't be silly! Okay, look."
They both got up, and Serena seemed more than happy to slide the closet door aside for them to peek in. Behind the clothes was a somewhat comfortable-looking chair, a book light, and a few trashy magazines. Most of them were in English, which Minako knew Usagi couldn't read very well.
"Is she, like… not from Japan?"
"Hey, we don't have actual magical girls here, do we?"
"What about Rei, and Ami, and Makoto?"
"Okay, besides them," she whispered, waving a hand as if that were an unimportant bullet point in an otherwise flawless presentation. Meanwhile, Serena was examining her nails and waiting for them to get done with this show-and-tell. "Anyway, I bring her snacks, and she has weekends off unless an emergency comes up. Those days when I look really wimpy and can barely do anything against the enemies? That's because I have to wear the suit myself. Just not nearly as great at the job as she is, but I mean, I'm the Moon Princess. Not an actual Senshi."
In a weirdly stilted dialect, Serena said, "Yeah. Moon Princess. She is so beautiful, and good! I want to be…" In English, she said, "God, I'm never gonna get this. The tapes aren't helping."
"It's okay!" Minako replied in the same language. "We can speak English if that's easier."
"Thank GOD. Normally, I try to stick to the lines Usagi coaches me in, but like, WOW is it hard to remember the conversational stuff." Then she smiled a little wider. "I like fighting alongside you guys! Y'know, when I can. Too bad we have to keep up appearances or I'd just fight with you and the Princess."
"Now, now, that would just get confusing," Usagi said reasonably, her own English not quite as good so she stuck to Japanese. "Besides, the whole point was to keep me out of danger, and not make you do the stand-in work, right, V?"
"Oh yeah! In that case… yeah, thanks, Serena."
"Anytime," the double said with a huge grin. "Y'know, we should all go out to eat! I mean, I still don't really know much about Japanese food besides rice and ramen…"
Warming to the subject, Usagi bounced over and looped her arm through both Minako and Serena's elbows. "C'mon, let's go right now! I mean, I'm not busy if you're not — you'd just have to do something about that hair so we don't raise suspicions by looking too alike."
"Yeah… hey, why not?" Mina said with a slowly-growing smile. "We have all this time to ourselves, and I think we could all be awesome friends! Blonde Brigade for life!"
"Yes!" Serena said, again in Japanese. "The friends for us to be!"
And away they skipped to find a decent restaurant. Right after Minako de-transformed, and the stunt double stuffed all her hair up until a giant hat, to keep her from being recognised; wouldn't want their connection to the Sailor Scouts to be that public.
                                                            ~ X ~
"Luna, no one understands me!" Usagi burst out as she threw herself down on her bed. "Rei is so mean all the time, and Tuxedo Mask acts like I'm not even alive…. Wh-what do I do?"
A paw came to rest on her head. "Don't worry, Sailor Moon. I'm always going to be here for you. Even when they all turn a blind eye to your inner pain, I won't. Even though I'm hard on you sometimes… it's because I care, and I hope to make you better than you are. To show you the path to your best self."
Her hand came up to rest gently against the back of her feline companion. "Oh… oh Luna, you're so sweet…" Her lips moved forward, and pressed into a tiny muzzle. "If only you were Tuxedo Mask… someone as kind and caring as you would be way better than that selfish creep. All he cares about is the Silver Crystal and throwing flowers! Not like my Luna, who sees who I really am… who's so soft…"
The room was mostly silent for a moment. Then Luna muttered, "If you start trying to make out with me, I'll scratch you blind, Bun-head."
"What? Oh, sorry; I wasn't going to, I promise!"
Usagi flopped over onto her side and curled up with a pillow, feeling bad that she made Luna uncomfortable on accident. Maybe she needed to start chewing ice, or exercising… anything to take the edge off these annoying desires.
"You ought to go and see Koan," Luna suggested with a large sweatdrop over the crescent moon symbol on her forehead. "After all, you seemed to get along fairly well with her, and her hairstyle resembles cat ears. Vent your strange urges on her and leave me alone."
"Ehh? Luna, please, you really don't-"
The small feline face now bore a smirk. "I've heard you calling out her name in your sleep…"
Blushing to the roots of her hair, Usagi curled a little harder against her pillow. It was true that she was very glad Koan and her sisters had been saved from Black Moon's influence, given a new chance to live honest lives, but she hadn't realised the tall, glamorous woman was on her mind so deeply. And it was true that she liked her, and looked forward to seeing her…
"Maybe I will." When Luna chuckled, she sat up and grabbed her pillow to slam it down on the cat. "TO SAY 'HELLO', kitanai neko!" There was a lot of squabbling and flailing underneath it as Usagi stood and stomped toward the door. This was the last time she would ever trust her cat-shaped companion not to tease her over nothing.
                                                            ~ X ~
"So which of us is it gonna be?!"
Usagi backed up shakily from the glares of the five women in front of her, hands held up to ward off their negative radiation. "Wh-what do you mean?"
"We can't all be your girlfriends," Ami told her reasonably, arms folded over her chest. "Be rational."
"Yeah!" Makoto chimed in. "Isn't it hard enough being a lesbian in Nineties Japan and taken seriously? Just make up your mind already!"
"But I'm only dating you guys in separate 'verses!" Usagi protested, backed against the wall by now. "God, I don't even know how you guys found out about it — technically, it's against the laws of physics!"
Rei slammed her hand against the wall next to Usagi's head. "Doesn't matter, bubble-brain! You can't two-time us, and you sure as hell can't five-time us! That's just too far!"
Unable to help herself, Usagi muttered under her breath, "Sheeeeeze, when you or Makoto act so strong, I get chills…"
"Um," Naru put in nervously, scratching the back of her neck. "I feel a little out of place here for some reason. Maybe I should just go…"
"That'd probably be for the best," Minako confirmed.
"Wait, don't!" Slipping out from behind Rei's arm, she ran over to grasp her old friend's arm, clinging tightly. "Don't go, I can't let you leave thinking that you're not as important as my new friends!"
"New girlfriends," Makoto corrected, sounding jealous but also hurt. And Usagi's heart was breaking.
"Alright," Ami finally said after having spent some time typing into her miniature Supercomputer. "There seems to only be one logical course of action. Usagi should spend time with each of us, and reach a decision as to which woman she wishes to date. If she can reach no such decision within an appointed trial period, she will forfeit all dating rights."
As the others were all pondering that, beginning to nod, Usagi slumped. "But I told you, I'm not dating all of you. Not really! It's like, five different Usagis are dating you, not just one for five girls! You get that, right?"
"Shut up and decide!" Rei snarled. "And it better be me — you've seen me naked!"
"Hey, that's not our fault," Minako protested, hands on her hips. "Just because you're some kind of slu-"
"OH!" Naru burst out, hopping up and down with an index finger raised. "How about a kiss-off? Best kisser wins!"
Before Usagi knew what was happening, they were all muttering their agreement and pressing in closer to her. Their lips were puckered, all vying for the attentions of her own, and she felt sweat break out over her forehead. Suddenly the bed was rising up to meet her back, and all five of them were atop her, warm bodies pressed in close, kisses being left all over her face, she couldn't get away, couldn't breathe-
The blare of her alarm clock woke Usagi from the feverish dream. It took her several seconds of heaving breaths before she realised… it had been a nightmare. The sheets were somewhat coiled around her, and a thin layer of sweat coated her entire body. Also, she felt warmth blossoming in her face.
"All five of them?! I must be crazy…"
"What's the problem, dear?"
Rolling over, she curled around the presence beside her in the bed. "I had this bizarre dream. All of my friends were coming onto me — girls, I mean. No more coffee cake before sleepytime!"
"Oh, Usagi-chan…" Rolling over, Gurio Umino adjusted his glasses as he leaned closer to her face. "Too much time spent on the Internet. Leave that to me! Maybe I can find upskirt pictures of them for you in one of my newsgroups?"
Usagi Tsukino was still screaming, even as she woke up from the nightmare that had been sandwiched around the other nightmare. The first thing she did was throw her sheet and duvet aside, making sure she was alone in her bed. Then she pinched her own leg; success. She was actually awake this time.
"Phew… there's a bad dream, and then there's a horrible nightmare. I'd rather be mauled in the first one!"
"Usagi!" came the call from outside her bedroom. "You'll be late for school if you don't hurry up!"
Still a little dazed, she called out "OKAY, MOM!" as she got changed and raced downstairs. Another day of school awaited. She only hoped she wouldn't feel too awkward around her friends after such dreams as the ones she had been plagued by the night before.
"Seriously, all five of them?!" Usagi burst out as she raced down the street, fuku flapping behind her in the wind that her speed was creating. "You're out of your mind, Sailor Moon!"
THE END [for real this time]

Top 10 worst episodes of anything i watch (saved from my now defunct deviantart page)
Note: This will only include shows that i actually like. Also, dishounorable mention to 1."The Ocean! The Island! A Vacation! A Break for the Sailor Senshi" (Sailor Moon R) Plot: Chibiusa befriends a baby dinosaur. WTF? Most pointless episode of the series 2. "Over the Fear! Jump to Freedom" (Sailor Moon SuperS) This episode was basically about a random guy who couldn't jump over a box. 3. "Protect a Mother's Dream! New Attack for the Double Moon" (Sailor Moon SuperS) This episode barely escaped making this list, and that was only because it has the same problems as #2, so anything i would have said about this episode would have been redundant. 4. "Town and Out" (The Powerpuff Girls) (To be updated) 10. Lobster Claws (Star VS The Forces of Evil) While i love reforming villains and am usually all for it but this episode does not do a good job at it. Why doesn't it? Well for starters, Star's attitude is really annoying. Her dialogue is nothing but "Your a monster, Monster = Evil, Monsters can never be good". You know where i've seen this before? The Sailor Moon manga. Another reason why this episode is so bad is because Lobster Claws just goes back to being a bad guy  after getting re-hired by Ludo. I think it was supposed to be funny but i didn't really get me laughing. 9. Roadside Attraction (Gravity Falls) This episode was just plain boring. It didn't engage me at all and the plot was very predictable and contrived. Not to mention DARLENE IS FUCKING CREEPY 8. Someday in the Rain (Haruhi Suzumiya) Some people regard the Endless Eight as the worst part of the Melacholy of Haruhi Suzumiya but to be honest i didn't mind it, but that's probably because i watched the episodes online and after i realized what they were doing just skipped to the last one. This episode, however, literally nothing happens. I'm not joking. NOTHING HAPPENS. The entire "plot" if you can even call it that is just about Kyon and Yuki sitting in the club room making idle conversation. 7. Sock Opera (Gravity Falls) Why is this episode so popular? I swear, the only reason people like this episode is because of Bill Cipher and Bipper. What i find even more insulting is that Shion Takeuchi, the person who wrote this episode, also wrote Not What He Seems and Weirdmaggedon Part 3. WHAT THE HELL? My main problem with this episode is how Mabel treats Dipper. I get that her being self centered is the main focus point of the episode but it still really bugs me. She repeatedly breaks her promise just so she can get the attention of some random guy who doesn't even care all that much about her. Also, why on earth does Dipper make that deal with Bill? Bill Cipher is a DEMON for cats sake, and he's evil. So obviously he's gonna trick you. Besides, why would somebody like Bill want an ordinary mundane puppet unless he was scheming for something bigger. I thought Dip's was supposed to be the smart guy? FAIL 6. Pixtopia (Star VS Evil) One word: BORING.I honestly don't get how one of the best episodes of the series was aired with one of the worst This episode did not need to exist, and to me, it doesn't exist. It really confuses me when Marco tries to use Earth money to pay for Star's phone bill. They're on a different planet, so the currency is  going to be different. Why didn't Marco think of that? Also, how come nobody has every tried to escape from the Shard Mines before, since apparently the exit was literally right there, UNGUARDED. The pacing in this episode was really and off, and everything was happening way too fast. 5. The Show Stoppers (My Little Pony Friendship is Magic) This episode ends up on everyone's worst of lists. Do i need to say why? 4.Bought and Scold (The Powerpuff Girls) Oh man how i hate this episode Honestly, i actually sympathized with Princess this episode. Having your stuff taken from you in very annoying indeed. The episode rode on the fact that her Dad bought Townsville and since she made crime legal, she deserves this. But let's not forget: Princess Morbucks is a kindergartener, a bratty spoilt one, but she's still pretty young. Her whole villain schtick is basically wanting to upstage the Powerpuff Girls. Since she was very young, she didn't understand the full implications of her new law, so it is unfair to punish her. I always found it odd when the Powerpuff Girls screwed up, they were all forgiven and received no consequences for their actions yet when Princess makes an irrational and illogical law, she gets all this torment despite her being the same age as the Powerpuffs. Also, why is it legal to throw kids in jail in Townsville? 3. Owl's Well That Ends Well (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) An episode which takes a perfectly love-able character and treats them like absolute shit. I hate Owlicious: he is a Mary Sue that needs to DIE. Spike gets tortured through out the episode even though he has done nothing to deserve it. And seriously, the reason Twilight had for employing Owlicious is stupid: she needs help during the night. Yet we never see Owlicious work through the night in the episode. Plot hole! 2. Art Is An Explosion Of Love! Chibiusa's First Love (Sailor Moon S) That title isn't even accurate. Mamoru is Chibiusa's first (incestous creepy) love. There is so much wrong with this episode that it isn't even funny. First of all, Chibiusa overreacts about Usagi eating her lemon tart when that whole thing could have been avoided if Chibiusa had just wrote quick note saying 'Hey, I baked a lemon tart. Do not eat it'. Even after Usagi apologizes, Chibiusa holds it over her head the entire episode. Whats worse is that instead of being GOOD LOYAL FRIENDS and calling out Chibiusa for being a brat, The Senshi get it on it! The way the Senshi act this episode reminds me of how the citizens of Bikini Bottom acted in the Spongebob episode "Little Yellow Notebook". Both groups of people shame someone (Squidward,Usagi) for doing something that they did to and both groups never receive any punishment for it. They are hypocrites 1. Putting Your Hoof Down (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) This is the worst episode of the series. It turns Fluttershy into an absolute bitch. In this episode,Fluttershy tries to learn to be more assertive and seeks help from Iron Will. She then takes her training too far and behaves like a bully. She drenches her gardener with water for no reason, gets mad at the mailman because he gave her the wrong mail, and flips a random tourist across town JUST because he talked to her. And don't get me started on how she treated Rarity and Pinkie Pie. All i'm gonna say is that scene made me cry. She's basically saying her friends lives are pointless. Then they....blame it all on Iron Will. No. Iron Will did not turn Fluttershy into a raging bitch. She was taking her training too far. Then somehow off screen she learns self-control and how to be assertive.

Thoughts on the “Sailor Moon Crystal” English dub. Episode one.
I told you I was gonna do it
oh the Toei logo, hello old friend
and who could this attractive couple be? oh the ambiguity
two minutes and two seconds into the episode and we finally have dialogue
and its Ikuko of all characters
she is being voiced by Tara Platt who was Temari in Naruto and is the real life wife of Yuri Lowenthal who voiced Sasuke of all characters
having watched a couple episodes of the Viz dub for the classic anime I already know Usagi is played by Stephanie Sheh who was Mamimi in FLCL, Orihime in Bleach, and Hinata in Naruto
I like how she voices her, if there was one character they needed to get right it was her
I think we all reached a point where we realized the Tsukino family treats Usagi like crap, very sad
oh Moon Pride, you aren’t the worst song but Moonlight Densetsu you ain’t
I guess I shouldn’t dwell on it though because even Toei’s sacred cash cow DBZ was even given a new intro song when they did Kai (and I like that song)
I always liked that the first scene with the iconic magical girl is her being late for school
and I always liked that this is very much a cat series
boing
if its one thing I love about SMC its that Luna is always making a :3 face
Jadeite is being voiced by Todd Haberkorn wow
Miss Haruna is voiced by Julie Ann Taylor who is Holy in the JJBA dub (a dub I kinda really wanna get to, but I’m not sure about Jotaro’s voice....)
“its not my fault the other kids always get to school on time” oh honey
“the princess in my dream was so beautiful...someday I’m going to become a princess and I’ll never go to school again” how about becoming literal queen of the world? the only downside is your daughter is annoying as hell and has a lot of unchecked psycho sexual hangups towards her dad
it took me literally forever to realize that when an anime says something about an English class they don’t mean literature and grammar, they literally mean learning the English language
PRAISE THE HEAVENS NARU NO LONGER HAS A FAKE NEW YORK ACCENT
her actress is Danielle Judovits
I....I never liked Umino...ever
he is voiced by Ben Diskin aka Joseph fucking Joestar
we have a class where Joseph is being taught by his daughter basically
“that’s Umino, he’s an otaku” oh damn!
that reminds me remember that side story from the manga where Chibi-Usa was friends with these valley girl wannabe Sailor Senshi and my girl Hotaru totally burned them by saying they were otaku? I want this in the anime somehow
SEI! RA! V!
by the way I would like an OVA or something that adapts the Sailor V manga too, but I don’t see that happening sadly
our first reference to Osabu, who I am happy is still involved with Naoko’s life and the SM franchise after all this time
wow one billion yen that must be like twelve dollars
she craves that youthful energy
which is one of those things about the Dark Moon arc that dates it in my eyes, like something about the villains sapping away energy feels so old fashioned
MAMO CHAAAAAN
back at it with that Tom Ford suit
I wonder how he affords those things
bump head
“are you trying to make bumps on my head too?” Mamoru its a fucking piece of paper
so I know Bun Head is more technically accurate.....but I’m sorry I am attached to Meatball Head its so....I don’t know it feels right and its the only thing from the DIC and Cloverway l dubs I’m actually attached to along with the nickname Rini
I haven’t even said anything about Mamoru’s voice, I’ve heard it in clips and episodes of the classic anime and I really like it and I think Robbie Daymond is good and I really hope I get his autograph at Anime Boston this weekend (he and Toru Furuya have an autograph session together so its win win)
as far as other things he’s done he’s Mumen Rider in the OPM dub and Chrollo in HXH so that’s like going from cinnamon roll to garbage smoothie (yeah I still hate Chrollo)
OH NO SHE’S HOT
OH NO HE’S HOT
I love these two so much
and I like how Mamoru looks towards his reflection like Usagi calling out his fashion cut deep (it probably did, he’s a delicate flower)
ah yes the legendary silver crystal. and you seriously think you’ll find it in a jewelry store. how did you get into Harvard?
so interesting thing about Motoki’s voice actor is that he also voices Zoisite, huh
I love the part where Luna just stares into Usagi’s soul when she says she has a bald spot, its like “you wanna say that again? be-yotch?”
wait doesn’t Ikuko CARE that her fourteen year old daughter is coming home past dark?
seriously locking her out of the house like this just comes off as abusive, what kind of parenting is this?
oh fuck off Shingo, no one likes you
I know everyone loves to trash the animation this season (lord knows I did) but that first shot of Tuxedo Mask looks real good
I had forgotten how many visions of Serenity and Endymion they gave us in this episode
Luna’s voice I’ve heard before too, she’s played by Michelle Ruff who was Rukia in Bleach
we can finally put the fake British accent to rest never to be heard again
I like how Luna doesn’t even seem aware of the fact that a talking cat is abnormal
kitty feet
I’m happy they replaced these CGI transformations in season three with better ones, but still I am happy the transformations were a thing to begin with since I thought they would do away with them
this is the only time her hair thingies can pick up someone’s cry for help
why didn’t the daimon just kill Naru’s mom?
MREOOOOOOWWWW
God fucking bless
RIP “and that means you” thank God
man I am just referencing the old dub like mad aren’t I?
this is seriously the only time her hair thingies are more than just accessories
moon tiara boomerang....sigh
okay never mind they call it that in the new manga translations too, I checked
“I shall remember your name Sailor Moon” given how many times you get brainwashed and or loose your memories I wouldn’t count on it
so we’re calling them guardians instead of soldiers, eh I can live
AMI
um yeah this closing has nothing on the first one for season three
but I am a sucker for these two regardless
“allies? you mean like Tuxedo Mask!” I mean she isn’t wrong
tune in next time where Ami kicks ass at a video game and Beryl’s boobs make their debut
