Can you do some fluff with Evil X/reader please?
I certainly have been pondering over this one for a while now! Evil X is such a deep and complex character that I didn’t want to mess him up for you... Sorry if this ended up more angst than fluff, too... I had a it of a block over what to do.
I hope you know a bit about @micer2012‘s theories, because I consider them canon and therefore write references to that “lore” on occasion. If not, you should definitely give them a read (moreso if you’ve seen GT’s video, because you should always thank the original)!
No trigger warning because I didn’t know what to add, but if you do send me an ask and I’ll add it :)
Enjoy, anon darling!

Derpcoin not accepted. That was what every sign, next to every chest, in every shop in Boatem, said. Sure it was new and… different, but you couldn’t see why some of the Hermits were so against it.
That is, apart from the fact that is was founded by the admin’s alter-ego who has attempted to destroy the server time and time again.
But Evil X had come back declaring peace, saying that the voices forcing him to do evil were gone. Xisuma believed him. A few other hermits were willing to believe him. You believed him. You loved him.
You carefully lifted each of the signs and placed them slightly behind their assigned chests. It’s not like you’re getting rid of the signs entirely--you’re just keeping your business looking profitable. And besides, it’s not like someone couldn’t just put the signs back.

Rule one about running a successful business: Don’t buy products from your oppositions. The thing is though, you can’t help needing materials to build. Evil X couldn’t see why that foolish axolotl couldn’t just gather the supplies himself instead of them supporting the other Hermits. But some things can’t be helped.
Evil X lands next the the group of chests he knows contains deepslate, the fragile wood creaking beneath his sudden application of weight. He throws a few derpcoin in payment for what he took. Yet a message engraved on the lid of chest caught his eye.
Derpcoin not accepted.
He took a few diamonds from the chest, replacing them with his own currency. The sound of the coins hitting the bottom echoed through the hollow space, clinking as they touched each other. He grabbed his elytra and flew.
He didn’t care. He never had, never would. They were fools not to see the benefits the Empire provides. Why should he care?
Yet for some reason, he did.

You hear a muffled scream emerge from EX’s room. Of course, he talked out loud to himself all of the time, but should you be worried?
‘Leave me alone!’ you hear him yell. You gently reach out to push open the door.
The room was a mess, despite you having helped him clean it just a day prior. Rotten flesh, cookies, and empty bottles littered the floor, and the large screen hanging from the wall displayed static. EX was curled up on the floor in front of the screen, his arms over his head as if in a protective stance, and his helmet was tossed to the side.
‘EX?’ You walk carefully over to him before pulling his arms to the side. He looks up at you, his red eyes showing clear evidence of him crying. You gently sit him up, pulling him into your warm embrace. ‘You went to Boatem, didn’t you?’ EX nodded, letting his head rest in the crook of your neck.
‘“Derpcoin not accepted”. It’s not acceptable.’ His eyes glow a burning shade of red for a moment before fading. ‘Thing is, in my head I don’t see it as Derpcoin, sometimes. I see it as I’m not accepted”. I’ll never be like the rest of you.’
You slide your hands up to cup his cheeks, forcing him to look you in the eye. ‘You don’t need to be like the rest of us for me love you,’ you say, pressing your lips against his. One of his hands travelled to the small of you back, pushing you both closer together.
Gently, EX lifted you from the ground, carrying you to his bed and laying down beside you. One hand wrapped securely around your waist, the other rubbing your cheek tenderly. ‘I see green eyes,’ he said suddenly. ‘I see them wherever I go, accompanying the voices in my head. I- I can’t get rid of them.’
You raised your hand to cover his mouth. ‘It’s all nothing, EX. I’m here, and I care, and that’s what matters.’ He smiles softly at you.
EX rolls over suddenly, putting you beneath him, and begins vigorously pressing kisses to every spot of skin he can reach. You let him relax on top of you as you wrap your arms around him, finding it oh so endearing how he melts into your touch.
‘I have the answer now,’ he said. ‘And it’s you.’
