I noticed you said freezerburn was the shance of rwby, I'm genuinely curious--what comparisons are you drawing between the two of them?

Hi anon! I said that because looking at it in a fandom perspective, the fan popular ships are, for RWBY: WhiteRose & Bumbleby, and in comparison, there’s Voltron with klance & shallura respectively, therefore making shance and freezerburn “rare” ships

There’s also the fact that Weiss & Yang have limited canon interaction (prior to season 5) but have been shown to work well together - i.e. the Vytal festival. Shiro & Lance also go on a mission together (with Pidge) and team up pretty well! Shiro calls him the sharpshooter i’m still not over it tbh 

We also have scenes of them being protective over each other, as teammates (arm cradling here and here) but they’re also comfortable enough to tease each other. Lance/Yang are the irreverent goofballs, Shiro/Weiss are more reserved. but we can also draw parallels with Lance/Weiss ice powers and Shiro/Yang prosthetic arms jk jk

what i’m saying is. no one expected it at all, based on current canon events. CRWBY could have just given us a quick Weiss & Yang reunion. You could even look at how they reunited compared to how Yang and Ruby reunited and there’s definitely something Special about it and made the whole ship explode. but it could have gone entirely differently (aka how we only get to see Keith react to Shiro being back. Shallura hasn’t even gotten Anything in s3 & s4)

Weiss even lampshades it as she comforts Yang in ep08, that they’re not as close, and that’s exactly where shance is at the moment. they’re teammates, they probably interact offscreen, they COULD BE growing close because right now lance is the red paladin and shiro is the black paladin, but who can know? who can tell 

anyway if season 5 of voltron magically gave me five million shance interactions i would die. tl;dr what i’m going for here Is: IF FREEZERBURN CAN HAPPEN SO CAN SHANCE
