BBE Wrap-up (and Future Celebrations)
Another Baahubali celebration has come to an end, and one last time: thank you so much, all you wonderful writers! You are all seriously the best, not only in quality and quantity of your fanworks, but also in getting everything up and working with the mod! And for everyone who still hasn’t checked out the collection: DO IT, THERE IS SO MUCH GOOD FIC.
That aside, I also wanted to take this opportunity to touch base with everyone about future events for this year, and invite feedback (a reply or reblog would be great, just to know what everyone’s opinions/preferences are) regarding:
Last year, at least, we had a theme “week” (actually more like 9 days) for Navaratri with Vijayadashami/coronation day being the big celebration. But this was a far more casual thing, with people posting fic/graphics that fit the themes throughout the days as their schedule allowed, and often posting one big fic on Vijaydashami day. Does this seem like a good idea to do once again? And if so, does anyone have ideas for the themes that we can use?
I would be happy to run Margazhi in Mahishmati 2018 once again. For those who weren’t around at that time, this is pretty much exactly like the BBE that just went on, with signups, assigned writers, and the expectation that all participants will produce at least one gift for their assigned recipient. The one thing I was considering was (since it will still be part of Margazhi month, and would also give people more time to write), should we move the collection opening day back from December 25, which it was last year, to January 1? That would mean that the due day for fics would be December 25, which would cut out a lot of conflicts between holiday plans/exams/etc that was difficult for a lot of people last year. I am all for this, but I’d love to know what you would all think!
