for the sevika lovers, your own personal jesus by @ennabear. the amount of times i have devoured this fic. it always leaves me with something new, walking away with something different than i did before the last time i read it. that's such a difficult thing to do but enna always does it with ease and everyone should read this now if you haven't.

where the mulberry tree stands by @hypnagogics is the most insanely wonderful piece of fiction i've read on this app. honest. to. god. i read it once a week. as someone who doesn't really even care for ellie that much, don't shoot me ellie lovers, this is an all-time fav for me. easily my top three. maybe it's the greek mythology lover in me that has never left since i picked up the og percy jackson series, but i will love anything that has to do with greek mythology down.

this abby fic by @forthelostones changed me as a person. please. for the love of god, go read it. now.

baby, can i? by @dazevi is one of the most intimate, soft smuts i've ever read. there's so much sincerity and gracious vulnerability throughout the entire story. gave me goosebumps the entire time and is just a straight up masterpiece.

come a little closer by @loaksky just speaks for itself. god-tier writing.

there are so many other fics. maybe i should make a rec list one day. hm.

#13 — what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

given to me by my beta reader, don’t get stuck in repetitive analogies, it’s still advice i’m learning to apply but they have really helped my writing grow. also, just write it down. it doesn’t have to be perfect. the first time hardly ever is. just get it all out there, create a starting point and go from there.

#26 — which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

this one for sure. it’s one of my better works i’ve written but boy did it give me a struggle. currently though, i’m working on a dark-piece of fiction, or i hope to, that will definitely be my wildest ride as far as planning and getting it out there. but this one is definitely something i wrestled with for months before getting it finished. just the progression of the story, the plot twist, how the characters act with one another, the hole in the plot left intentionally so the ending could breathe a little. definitely the most challenging and the most rewarding fic i’ve written.

Happy One Year Anniversary

to The Day the World Broke by @saladmix!!! She deserves all of the recognition for writing such an incredible and in-depth story, please go show her some love!!

To celebrate and show my immense appreciation, I spent the last two months working on an animatic for it. It's not perfect, but the vision is there and I'm honestly proud of myself for completing a major project like this. 100+ frames later (not all of them made the cut, unfortunately) it is finally complete just in time for the anniversary!

I'm about to ramble, I apologize in advance lol. Feel free to scroll down to the next blue text to see the animatic, please mind the spoiler and trigger warnings!

This fic is so important to me and holds a special place in my heart. I came across the first chapter the day it was posted, so early that it didn't even have any hits or kudos yet. The title and little description intrigued me so I clicked on it, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance because I was hooked from the first paragraph. Little did I know how much it would impact me that evening after raving about it to my best friend, during and after reading it. I'm not kidding when I say it has been on my mind every day for a full trip around the sun. Its AU is so unique that I haven't read anything like it before. The writing is beautiful, the storytelling is captivating, and the characterizations of the boys are so in-depth and relatable and a joy to read, the plot is insane and every chapter blows my mind... I could go on about it forever!!

I've read that first chapter more times than I can count, and the rest of it several times as well because even at 300k+ words, every single word is worth the time and energy. I'm always finding subtle details that are easily missed in earlier chapters that come up again later and I have a "WAIT HOLD UP" moment, like @saladmix is a genius I swear. When going back through chapters to locate details for my artwork to make it as accurate as I can, I always find myself getting lost reading because it just pulls me in, even though I already know what is about to happen... it's just that good.

Honestly, I can't get enough of this story, it means sooo much to me. It has inspired me to become a better artist, to have the courage to write my own stories, my enjoyment of reading has been rekindled, and most importantly, it brought friendship. @saladmix is such a kind person, she is so supportive and funny and a pleasure to talk to, I'm thankful to have her as a friend. Keep on being awesome, girl!!

I started reading this like 4 days ago, time has blurred together. I have not slept over 5 and a half hours of sleep in that time, I had to get up at 6 for something and was going 'just one more chapter' several times until it was 2am. The only thing that I can think about is LIAB, I am quickly losing my sanity to Zukka and the prison camp. I came here for a fun time, a good time and the sheer amount of angst that I had heard this had. And, I was certainly not lied to.

I am the type of person to read hard core angst. Impaling, torture , doesn't even phase me anymore (bit concerning but ignore that), I have taken to the blank word document to get that sinking, queasy feeling when the angst gets really hard core. First few chapters of this had me captivated and then Zuko came into it, *Chefs kiss*

I can't read long fics because I don't have the attention span, but for this I make an exception, also if you read it all in like 4 days the attention span doesn't have time to run out! I am on the 3 part, chapter 2 and I actively plan to binge read it tonight. Do I have school in the morning? Yes. Am I still going to stay up until 1 in the morning reading this and make up for my lack of sleep with caffeine? Also yes.

I really hope that Jet dies in this, I hope that he has a really anti-climatic death as well, like he falls off a slightly too high ledge. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE gets to separate MY GAYS LIKE THAT BECAUSE HE JUST HAD TO TELL FONG THAT ZUKO WAS AT THE BLOODY CAMP!
