☕️ Your thoughts on the Tokyo Ghoul :re ending.
☕️Oh god, I have a lot of mixed feelings until this day . I feel melancholic , sad, angry and disappointed.
☕️The one of who I am more pissed off is Takizawa. He just ends sad, lonely and angry when he was one of the most beautiful humans ever. He was just a victim. I hoped that in the end, he would be happy. That all the bad times would be worth it and he would end his life with friends but no. Only sadness for someone who never did anything except try the best he could and did everything for his friends. Gosh, poor boy. Same about Kurona.
I do not have anything to say about Akira and Amon because they aren’t there. I have to re-read to confirm that I do not passed a page about them.It was weird.
☕️Then the Qs. They save Mutsuki and then promise they will be together and as a family , only to in the last chapter discover they live in different places, without talk that much .It just feels wrong. They should keep the promise. And how they found Shirazu body is so forced . I like Yusa though, it seems he lives with Urie and that makes me happy because he deserves a family and a nice place to grow up feeling safe , which he can call a home. I can imagine a slice of life about it. I want that spin-off of the Chateau!
I still think that Ishida had planned to tell us about Hide and his past in another way as he did, but because time has to be rushed. Still it makes me love Hideyoshi even more . one of the best characters for sure.
Suzuya and Shinohara made me cry hard. Juuzou has always been my baby and I want only good things to him. I thought the scene of Shinohara waking up would feel more forced but no. Ishida did it great and Im grateful for that. Im pleased that at least my boy was happy, alive and with his friends and dad.
Ui is the best!
☕️AyaHina is not canon
Now seriously, it’s sad them not getting that much screen time. They are cute with Ken daughter, I guess…
☕️I hate that Shuu do not have anything else besides his work, he deserves a movie-like love life. Im sure he could move on without Kaneki, but Ishida don’t want that and it pissed me off. At least he looks handsome.
☕️Naki being alive it’s a big NO. I like the dude but he had one of the most beautiful deaths of the manga and it lost all meaning. Like WTF Ishida.
☕️Talking about nonsense, what is Eto doing there in chapter 175? who knows. Why isnt she in the last chapter? who knows. I just do not have idea what Ishida was thinking. It makes no sense. Same with the Clowns and V. We never got anything of them. Just chapters of mystery without conclusions or answers.
This still makes me think that the last chapter was Kaneki crazy imagination because he was dying (in the chapter 178 page 14) and in reality nothing of that happen and the world still in chaos , but now without him. I remember thinking that this was created to confuse us .That maybe Ishida did that to return one day and create a part 3 if he wanted , but if not , at leas his manga has happy ending. I still think that but now I do not think the part 3 will come, but who knows. Everything could happen in the future.
☕️I have mixed feelings about Kaneki. In this last chapter I do not love him as the beginning , but I do not dislike him as I did with Black Reaper. But now I remember him as the guy I really look for and cherrish , I remember more the great times and how kind , intelligent he was. And how much he cares for others. I remember him drinking his coffe while reading , or taking care of Hinami and helping Shuu or talking with Hide. I still loving him and I feel grateful for that . One year ago I was afraid of hating him forever but he still being my boy. Look at that face
Best things:
My boys, Yusa, Mutsuki and Ui looks great.
This ended longer than I thought, but hope you like it. Again, thank you alot for the ask! It’s always super fun to answer you.

Movie Picking
-Zuro sets out a whole bunch of movies, ranging from mockumentary horror films to you wouldn't be able to sleep for a week horror films on the table.
-Shoya is set on watching JAWS series. He wants to see his family win. Zuro adds one movie to the list because it was his bro's request.
-Haru comes in, SHE PICKS A MOVIE. She doesn't realize she's scarier than the movie marathon that is coming, but well- her choice will be included. Or else she will be angry. No one wants her angry. Ayame approves on her choice and recommends a movie. Zuro places her recommendation away. Ayame was never best to pick one unless it was romance movies.
-TAI AND MAI SAY THEY WANT MURDER ON SCREEN. Their sugesstion? Accepted. There was a slasher horror, which did include murder. They would probably enjoy it that day.
-Izami tosses a few recommendations. He picks the one with the horror that pulls on the most heartstrings yet still scares the crap out of people. Suggestion accepted.
-Isao gives a movie. Immediately burned by Sepheir. She does not trust this man.
-So far they have one Jaws movie, a film Haru wanted, slasher horror and an angsty horror movie. Seems good enough. They will be watching from 6-3, but people can choose to sleep earlier (if they can after that).
Movie Preparation
-Ko spends SO MUCH. Chips, Sodas, Full blown Meals, Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Everything--- For EVERYONE. He splits them all evenly and everyone has their personal food and drink box.
-Makoto is SURPISED over how much things he bought without thinking... He shouldn't spend his money like this! But it was for Zygos and Protezioni... but still! That's carelessly using money!
-Makoto gives him a good talk
-Yuuki is lowkey anxious over the movie choices but Asuka ends up comforting him and calming him down. Tells him that Big Sis Asuka is always there! Yuuki calms down fairly well!
-Yuri is watching Shigure cry even before the movie starts. She's calling him a dumbass and tells him it hasn't started yet. Turns our Shigure was crying over something else and she facepalms.
-Romano is hugging his paperwork but Hide is trying to tell him to relax for once and let it go. He follows for once and believes in her words. She says it is best to let himself not do work since Halloween only happens once a year. He is very convinced.
-Ace is worried if the kids can handle it, but he prepares a comfort blanket in advanced in case any of them want to go under one later. There are 10 comfort blankets with stuffed toys under it. Tsukki helps in gathering pillows.
-The movie marathon starts.
Movie Watching
-Jaws was the first to come.
-All of Zygos turn their head to Shoya. Protezioni proceeds to do the same.
-"I wanted to see my fellow scalys."
"THIS DOESN'T FIT THE ATMOSPHERE, SHITHEAD"
"Jun, your temper is worse than your height"
"YOU PIECE OF SHIT"
-Eis tries to calm Junko down, Zuro laughs about the whole thing. Fortunato facepalms and tells them to calm the fuck down. Maemi knew this would happen. He is very tired. Kaito tries to stop them.
-Anyway Jaws was being watched by several other people. Kuro thoughts the sharks were dolphins. "Dudeeee, they're sharks? I thought sharks were bigger." "THOSE ARE WHALES, KURO"
-Kana is laughing her ass off at this moment, Ren makes a dramatic speech in the middle "Oh whale, oh shark, what is your true reflection-" Shima is so done with this shit. What's worse- the speech or the movie? Shinji talks about how different everyone's aura is because of one single movie.
-Tilear is too busy snickering over Team Omega to focus, she is enjoying. Izami is actually watching the movie. Asks Oliviero if his fang was close to a shark's. Oliviero said he was more of cub or something. Ko wants them to be quiet so he could watch the film. They don't become quiet.
-Haru is excited. She says she brought up the next movie! Everyone is wondering what she picked. It turns out to be a psychological horror! They did not expect this, but the movie was fine.
-Kaito SCREAMS when he sees something happens, he is seeking for hug. For comfort. He cannot handle this. Aki decides to hug him and comfort him. They go to the comfort blankets.
-Tsuyobi jumps off the couch when something happens, Mitsu is the one who takes care of a shaking Tsuyobi. Hoping he is is okay.
-Alderardo names everything wrong with the film because it's a psychological horror and not a lot of things makes sense. Haru yells at him to shut up. He shuts up. Tana is glad he was able to shut the fuck up. Wants to thank Haru for that.
-Masao feels like an undefeated entity because he didn't back out in the movie unlike Kaito. HE WAS THE SUPERIOR LEADER. THE BRAVER LEADER. THE--- Kaya tells him to stop being like that and just sit down and enjoy the movie. Masao ends up sitting down and watching the movie.
-Anzu is clinging to Hide, Hide allows her to cling to her. Eis is clinging to Ella, who looks around but awkwardly pats Eis's back. Team 2 is making a theory silently because they are the most observant team. ALL THEIR THEORIES WERE PROVEN RIGHT.
-Miho comes in out of nowhere, a smile on her face, a flashlight underneath her. "Tea?" EVERYONE THOUGHT SHE LOOKED LIKE A GHOST. Turns out Ami was holding the flashlight below her. She is now officially dubbed as the tea ghost. She looked like one of the characters.
-The next is the slasher film the Murder Twins chose. THEY BOTH BRING UP MURDER. Riichi looks interested, he brings up he learned some sneaky moves through this movie! A lot of people look at them and see them as a very dangerous group if they worked together.
-Yuuki does get anxious over some parts, but Asuka is there to comfort him. Yarohe ends up being his comfort teddy bear. Ko just silently watches the rest to see how they are doing.
-Bren and Tilear have a small discussion because there is a lot of things to talk about since there are weapons in it. Tilear asks Yuuki about a question about his gun and says he doesn't need to feel anxious because he'd be able to shoot the man with no problem. Asuka pats the back of Yuuki who is internally screaming because someone believes in his skill.
-Marmi ends up gathering notes and he sees how Riichi was able to use these notes for something. Celes predicts what's happens next, saying it was a common strategy that is found in horror films. Calls the cast dumb and she isn't surprised that they are dying.
-The strategists talk about something together and make the best plan to escape if they ever end up in a situation like that. Their plan is the best plan ever created and if they were in a horror movie, they will 10000000% survive. Celes, Hide, Maemi, Miho and Shinji were a group who'd never die in a horror film.
-Ami mentions things that could have happened and says she would be a better murderer than the main antagonist of the slasher film. The stealth experts agree with her. Kiyaru also brings that up and Team 2 all agree with her. Bernando says he would fight the antagonist and win. The whole team 4 agrees. Akira comments about how unrealistic it is and the cops are doing a horrible job, brings up both Zygos and Protezioni are way better than the cops. Says the cops are useless in the movie.
-The talk is about murder and how they survive. The movie was overall enjoyable though and it was a great slasher film. There were holes to it, but the Murder Twins loved the blood.
-Okay now was the horror film that had the most emotional scenes. Kaito goes out of the comfort blanket, and Izami gives a small warning that it gets pretty sad. Sepheir comments she knows the film and it does get pretty sad. Everyone knows it's seriously shit sad when Sepheir says that.
-The horror parts were scary as fuck. People jumped from their seats. Kaito wanted to hide again and he screamed again. He is not the best with horror movies. Ayame comments about how this was really disturbing and Hiyaro agrees with her comments. Junko says if she saw a face like that, she's stab the fucker.
-Okay but when the sad parts come? PEOPLE BEGIN CRYING. Kaito starts bawling his eyes out instead of screaming and the whole Zetas decided to comfort their leader. Anzu starts tearing up and Hide tries to cheer her up but yells at Izami for showing that movie. Izami yells back that he warns them. Shigure is crying so bad and Yuri awkwardly comforts him but he just cries even louder. Aki is crying and Allen is in panic. Rika is silently crying and Akira is just allowing her to lean on him.
-It ends up with people crying because of fear or because of sadness. Shoya laughs at some parts and no one knows why he laughs. "LOOK HE DIED" "It isnT FUNNY SHO" "IT WAS IN A STUPID WAY" "SHO"
-Mitsu cries and the whole Zeta is prepared to fight whoever made Mitsu cry. It turns out it was the film. It's just that emotional.
-Movie night ends after the whole roller coaster ride of emotions
-A lot end up sleeping in the living room. Reo and Namito were actually busy doing trick or treating and they slept early like the good kids they are! They wake up to this sight and wonder what happened! Good children through and through.

an essay on homura takeru
logs onto tumblr for the first time in a year just so i can post this
a seriously long post ahead
-
anyway this isnt a ~formal essay~ i’m sorry in advance but i’m just trying to dump all the stuff i’ve wanted to talk about for a long while because i really like takeru in vrains and the new ep reminded me that i still hadnt really wrote out my thoughts yet
(not formally anyway, just in stray tweets)
three points to this essay:
- explain takeru’s backstory and how it relates to the present - the way takeru dealt with his trauma and why it’s important - a little bit about soulburner
for archive purposes this essay was written after episode 59 aired and does not take anything past ep59 into account (because at the time of writing this it didnt exist yet)
-
the way vrains has showed how different characters deal with childhood trauma is extremely interesting to me because every single character that we’ve seen involved in the lost incident so far has dealt with it in a different way, and it perfectly parallels how people respond to trauma in real life. i have a lot of thoughts on this matter bc it’s also personal to me but that really doesn’t matter right now. for today i just want to talk about homura takeru
i’m going to assume everyone reading this is familiar with the lost incident, but quick tl;dr anyway: six kids got kidnapped and held in solitary confinement for 6 months where the only thing they could do was duel. and how well they dueled determined if they ate or not
all of the kids involved in the lost incident came out of it differently: kusanagi jin never truly left the lost incident, as he’s still in a psychiatric hospital to this day due to it. spectre fully embraced what happened to him and decided to return for more after finding out the only thing holding him to the “outside world” (his mother tree) was gone, because the lost incident was the only time when he felt needed (eps35-37, playmaker vs spectre duel).
yuusaku underwent therapy and rehabilitation but never actually recovered. he still suffers ptsd from it to this day (ep19, playmaker vs akira zaizen), and had become (rightfully) angry at what happened to him, leading him to team up with kusanagi shoichi (kusanagi jin’s brother) to deliver justice/revenge.
takeru came out of the lost incident also traumatized, as he mentions he never dueled again (ep52).
takeru is something of a special case as we see in his backstory that not only did the lost incident traumatize him, but due to his disappearance, his parents died while looking for him. in a sense, takeru came out of the ordeal with not only the trauma of the lost incident, but also the trauma of losing his parents at a young age (6), both happening at around the same time
the way takeru dealt with these two traumas was to completely re-invent himself. he “sealed away” his memories of the lost incident and completely changed who he was in order to avoid having to actually deal with it. takeru says this himself that the time after the lost incident to the end of season 1 of vrains--that was not actually him, as in his true self
however, what most interests me about this exchange is the way kiku (the girl) responds to his declarations that he’s “not himself”
after the lost incident, takeru had to relocate and live with his grandparents in another town because his parents were dead and could no longer tend to him. that means that everyone in the town never actually met takeru--that is, who takeru was before the lost incident. everyone in town knew only the post-lost incident takeru
kiku’s responses to takeru’s declaration that he’s going to leave give us a lot of context as to who takeru invented himself to be and how long he held up this facade. kiku is obviously someone who is close to takeru, as she shows worry for him not attending school, and he entrusts her with taking care of his grandparents. he even tells her that he’s been faking it this whole time
however, even despite all this, takeru never once dropped his facade around her before this moment (this moment being takeru reading the news article about playmaker/blue angel/go and the knights of hanoi), which is why she shows such surprise to his declarations and doesn’t understand what’s going on.
but she supports him, because
this is the most important part of their interaction to me. it implies that kiku has never seen takeru so resolute and full of ambition before this, and it’s been a long 10 years since takeru moved to this town. 10 years of keeping up the facade of being someone else in order to deal with what happened
this scene also goes to show just how much the news article about playmaker, blue angel, and go onizuka fighting the knights of hanoi meant to him. he’s willing to completely undo 10 years of his facade because of it. here was someone else from the lost incident (yuusaku), who fought and confronted his trauma head-on. completely opposite of takeru who ran away from it
takeru could have, arguably, gone to den city to meet any one of them, but he chose yuusaku because they know what each other went through
the complete image change is also super interesting, because takeru looks much rougher and tougher, like a typical japanese delinquent, than what he looks like now. the opening for this season even has a still to highlight his persona
and kiku confirms in their aforementioned interaction that he actually doesn’t go to school a lot (she was super happy when takeru said he’d finally “go”). it completes his whole delinquent persona nicely
this image is a COMPLETE 180 from what we see him as now
tamer hair, glasses, and his blazer is even buttoned! yuusaku doesn’t button his or wear his shirt properly (the top button is open). takeru looks much more put together than what he used to be
even the body language of these two are different. the delinquent persona takeru looks aggressive and unfriendly but the takeru with yuusaku and kusanagi is much more open, much more happy
and it’s not like we haven’t seen this style of takeru before, because
he looks exactly as he did when he was younger, before the lost incident occurred
why choose this look? why of all the images he could have remade himself into, why did he go back to what he used to look like before the lost incident?
because he’s finally making up for lost time.
because takeru is finally being who he was supposed to be, or in better terms, who he actually is, not his delinquent persona
in a sense takeru is regaining all the years he missed from his life pretending to be someone he isnt. he felt truly and genuinely inspired by playmaker, go, & blue angel because they fought his oppressors and the people who caused him pain. they fought while he did nothing, and this inspired him. he was truly super happy to duel go until he realized that go had completely changed from what takeru saw him as (a hero)
but reading the article made him realize: i cant keep hiding forever. like playmaker, i have to face it head on, because otherwise it's never gonna leave me. he's still haunted by the lost incident & you can tell because of just how much the article meant to him. takeru reverted once he read the news. he needed to do something
flame & the ignis gave him something to fight for. teaming up with yuusaku gave him something to strive for. he left his town & went back to den city because he wanted to make a difference and confront his past, and that’s exactly what he’s doing now, after all these years of running
and it’s really major! you know why? because dueling is his trauma
and here he is, dueling again after all these years of never touching duel monsters. 10+ years. his drive to try dueling again despite it being his trauma is his first step to getting out of his bubble. & meeting flame in the link vrains helped him realize he could actually do something
takeru is really an amazing character to me, someone who broke free of his self-imposed prison and decided to finally stop running. confronting his trauma firsthand is something that takes a lot of courage to do, especially for someone like takeru who has spent more than half of his life pretending like it didnt happen. it’s harder to convince yourself to do something than it is to convince others
and despite all this, he’s here now. he’s fighting.
and he’s really... someone to be admired. it’s hard to put into words the reason why this character means so much to me. he’s very inspirational
there’s a lot more i could say about how different takeru’s personality is in real life compared to when he’s in link vrains as soulburner (he’s much more shy irl, but soulburner isnt) and how this all relates to who he is as a person who’s just starting to get back on his feet.
but that’s a lot of words that i can save for another essay
anyway thanks for coming to my ted talk
catch me on twitter

Kyoya's second shot
Episode twelve: A truth comes out!
Tw: self harm
Where the fuck were Kyoya's razorblades?? He couldn't find them anywhere, he'd been searching for a lieral hour and had to conceed that his bodygaurds must have thrown them out… fucking morons, didn't they know how Kyoya needed them? He couldn't cut without them, they'd even taken the bottle so he couldn't smash it and use glass shards. He was fucking angry, sat on the edge of his bath, so close to crying just because he couldn't draw blood. He'd taken to picking at his scars, hoping it would hurt enough to sate himself, but of course it didn't, nothing was good enough, but he was bleeding now- so that was fun. His phone buzzed as he started rubbing antibacterial soap into the wounds to try and get more pain out of the cuts, he checked it only to see a text from Arai.
Arai: good evening Kyoya!
just checking in to make sure you're doing alright?
Kyoya groaned, wiping the soap off of his hands with a towel. What an asshole, didn't he know Kyoya was busy? He couldn't hate Arai any more then he did at that moment- though he'd have hated anyone who texted him at this time the same.
Kyoya Ootori: My bodyguards threw my razors out.
So no, I'm not doing 'alright'.
Arai: why were you looking for your razors?
kyoya please tell me you werent about to cut again
Kyoya Ootori: Why does it matter to you anyway? They're not your arms.
Arai: kyoya please
you really shouldn't be doing that kind of thing
your bodyguards were right in taking them from you
Kyoya Ootori: How dare you say such a thing, my razors belong to me.
What they did was theft.
Arai: kyoya they were protecting you
Kyoya Ootori: I don't need protecting.
Arai: youre in pain kyoya
hurting yourself isnt good
Kyoya Ootori: I'm not in pain, I'm perfectly fine.
Arai: kyoya…
Kyoya stared down at his phone, wondering how the hell he was supposed to respond to that, he couldn't really fathom how Arai had expected Kyoya to respond. Oh. Oh, Arai was calling him, his phone was ringing. Kyoya wanted to ignore it, he wanted to throw his phone across the room but he'd been conditioned to always answer, so he picked up. "Why the hell are you phoning me?"
"I want to talk to you properly, you can't hide emotion over the phone."
He felt his blood boil at that, the commoner was trying to read him. Kyoya didn't even try to mask his rage, "well here's your emotion. Happy now?" He had spat the words out, glaring into the phone even though he knew Arai couldn't see him.
There was a beat of silence before Arai responded, "I'm not scared of you Kyoya," but Kyoya heard the fear in his voice, lips curling into a smirk. He left the bathroom, heading over to sit on his bed.
"Is that so~?" He purred into the phone, reminded of how intimidated Arabi had been during that first meeting, laying back on the bed, side-eyeing the phone, "you're not scared of me? Are you sure~?"
He could hear Arai sigh, "Kyoya, you can't act all big and scary when you've just admitted to self harm, you've been vulnerable, you can't back down from that, keep being brave. You're doing amazing Kyoya, do you want to try talking about how you feel?"
Kyoya tensed up, was I rage or fear he was feeling? He didn't know, but what he did know was that he was never going to open up to a fucking commoner! He huffed, all commoners were the same, "you fucking commoners think you're all so special huh? Haruhi tried to force me to talk to her too, right before she gloated about not loving Tamaki- you're just as horrible as she is and you're both poor so shut the fuck up and leave me ALONE!!!"
He sat up and threw his phone across the floor, not even bothering to hang up, he was sure Arai could manage that at least. He lay back down, turning on his side and just closing his eyes tight. He felt the guilt wash over him in a wave, his eyes were dry but tears bit him from the other side, he didn't want to open his eyes. Why couldn't he ask for help? Why couldn't he trust anyone? He was such a fucking idiot, he should be able to manage at least talking about his feelings, but he'd never done that before, he could confess to acts, but not to thoughts. Kyoya hated himself so much, he was so weak, he showed nothing but weakness, why did he have to be this way?
He must have fallen asleep, because when he finally opened his eyes, the sun was streaming in through his window, he didn't know what day it was, but he really didn't want to get out of bed. It was a school day however, so he had to. He dragged himself out of bed, comforted by the fact that Akira would be publishing his article today. Sitting at the mirror, Kyoya had decided to go with more blue and soft colours, it would help make him look more genuine when he confirmed the newspaper was telling the truth.
Just as he thought, the hosts read the newspaper the moment it came out, sitting around the room, eyes glued to the page. Kyoya read it himself as well, he enjoyed how accurate it was whilst also painting Haruhi as the villain she was. He kept glancing towards the other hosts, watching their expressions, unfortunately it seemed that they thought it was just some dumb rumour again, huffing and sighing at every sentance.
"Kyoya…" Tamaki's voice shook, but his tone was that of an order, Kyoya sat to attention, hoping to be able to play his part, "I thought I asked you to tell the newspaper club to stop writing nonsense about Haruhi?" Oh, oh ok, Tamaki didn't even care to ask if it was real. He must trust Haruhi quite a lot, stupid king.
Kyoya didn't even get to speak, clearing his throat only to be grabbed by the wrist, "come on, I'll go with you this time." It seemed Tamaki planned to have Kyoya threaten the newspaper club whilst he watched to make sure it worked. Kyoya felt a little hurt that Tamaki trusted Haruhi but not him, even if that distrust was entirely correct. Kyoya did try to quietly object, but was completely ignored by Tamaki, who had launched into a tirade about how disrespectful the newspaper club was and how dare they write such things about Haruhi- Haruhi would never say such things… Kyoya didn't know what to do, or what to say.
They entered the newspaper club, Tamaki first, with Kyoya trailing after him. Akira looked up from his desk, seeing Kyoya's expression and smirking in amusement, "is someone in the doghouse then, Ootori?"
Kyoya tensed up, glaring at the boy, how dare he mock him in front of Tamaki. Gritting his teeth, he spoke seriously, leaving no room for the bastard to laugh, "I haven't done anything wrong." He watched the surprise on Akira's expression, and the mild confusion on Tamaki's.
The king ignored this, too full of rage to question it, "I thought Kyoya had told you not to write slander and nonsense about Haruhi? Did you not listen? What is this?" He slammed the newspaper down on Komatsuzawa's desk at that, pointing at it.
Akira decided to be awfully cruel to Kyoya, knowing that Kyoya couldn't scream at him with Tamaki in the room. He had smiled, speaking the words that should absolve him of any guilty, "I'm sorry Souh, I was just doing what I was told."
Tamaki had paused at that, looking confused and glancing back at Kyoya for clarification. Kyoya could feel his heart jump into his throat, he was walking a fine tightrope here, there were very little options he had in that moment, and he planned to walk out of this room alive. So he swallowed, pointedly not meeting Tamaki's eyes, "I told him not to spread lies and slander, I…" he hung his head in mock shame, faking a sigh, "I didn't say anything about the truth."
"The truth??" Tamaki didn't seem happy with this, "you think that Haruhi actually said those things??" Oh, he didn't read the entire article, Kyoya glanced at him in confusion, surely he'd had read it, why wouldn't he read the whole thing?
Akira seemed to find this amusing, "did you even read the article? Ootori was who she told, our witness even mentioned how he almost hit her," he had chuckled at that, and Kyoya felt another spark of rage, he had tried so hard not to hit haruhi, how dare he make it seem like he had simply missed.
"I did not almost hit her," he spoke up, and he could see Tamaki's shock that the first thing Kyoya did wasn't disprove it, "I punched a wall."
Tamaki had frozen, "Kyoya…" he looked to be in shock slightly, considering for the first time that maybe Haruhi didn't love him, "is… is this the truth? Did she really say that to you..?"
Ah, here it was; Kyoya's time to shine. He hung his head, nodding quietly, "I'm sorry Tamaki…" he looked up, locking eyes with the blonde… god those eyes were beautiful, "I wanted to tell you… I really did..."
He was in tears now, poor Tamaki couldn't handle the idea of Haruhi using him like that. Kyoya glanced at Akira, glaring at him and mouthing for him not to say anything. He wraps an arm around Tamaki, doing his best to comfort the king. He didn't say anything but just let Tamaki sob onto his shoulder, the king babbling about Haruhi between sobs. Kyoya wasn't sure what he was supposed to do, so he just brought Tamaki back to the club room, holding him closely and making sure he's doing alright.
Kyoya's heart broke with every sob that left Tamaki, he felt guilty for the blonde finding out like this, but it wasn't him that had done wrong this time, it was Haruhi who had hurt Tamaki… she was villainising herself. The other hosts looked so surprised and worried when the duo entered, seeing Tamaki so down and distraught like this hurt all of them and made them so scared. Kyoya had just leant in and began to whisper apologies into the king's hair, sitting on the chaise lounge with him like this would usually be nice, but now it just felt bad… poor Tamaki.
"What happened?" Hikaru spoke up, the others nodding in agreement, they all looked so worried.
Kyoya sighed, glancing down at Tamaki, who was curled in on him, clinging and sobbing into his blazer, he glanced back at the twins, feeling worse then he thought he would. "He found out why Komatsuzawa was allowed to publish that story." They looked so confused by those words, not understanding why anyone would allow such slander, not believing it to be true for a second.
Haruhi looked like she'd seen a ghost, seconds away from crying, she reached out towards Tamaki, and Kyoya had half a mind to slap her hand away. Her voice was soft and filled with so much guilt that it took Kyoya by surprise, "Tamaki…" she didn't even use an honorific for him, just called him by his name, she's so disrespectful, hasn't she hurt him enou-
Kyoya's eyes fluttered open, he was laying on the chaise lounge, Tamaki was cradling him. The last thing Kyoya remembered was feeling a lot of pain in his face and oh, his nose still hurt. He blinked up at Tamaki, who still had tears in his eyes, but the club room was noticeably quiet. He went to sit up but Tamaki pushed him back down gently, "don't, it's ok, you're not missing anything, I told the teachers we would be busy."
"Wh-" it took Kyoya a moment to proceed what he meant, "are we skipping lessons??" He sat up again, this time in a panic, he couldn't miss any classes, his father would be so mad, he couldn't- Tamaki pushed him back down again, gently smiling.
"Shh, it's alright, Kyoya. I accidentally knocked you out so I've just been sitting here waiting for you to wake up, I'm sorry." Oh, that explains the sudden pain and blackout, but how did Tamaki knock him out so suddenly? Tamaki must have noticed his confusion, as he answered, "I gesture wildly while I'm emotional so I sort of uh… flipped out at Haruhi? I just sort of caught you in the nose with a stray hand…" Tamaki handed him a tissue, "here by the way, for the blood."
Kyoya took the tissue, barely registering that he had a nosebleed, too in awe at the fact that Tamaki had yelled at Haruhi, he had yelled at her. Kyoya felt almost overjoyed at that, hopeful for what that meant, "so… did you break up?"
Tamaki shook his head and Kyoya felt his joy evaporate, "no… but she said we'd talk 'like grownups' after school… so I don't know." The joy was replaced by hope, Haruhi would break up with Tamaki and Kyoya would be here to comfort him. Kyoya sat up again, this time Tamaki didn't push him down.
"I mean, personally I don't think she's very good for you…" Kyoya told the truth, trying not to upset Tamaki further, "she's a good friend, she's just… I don't want to say poor but… you know? She just doesn't understand you, she wasn't even trying." He sighed, reaching for his notepad, "tell you what Tamaki, I'll stay back after school while you speak with her, I'll just wait outside, then how about we have a sleepover at my place?" He offers an almost-smile, knowing that Tamaki will be looking for comfort.
He nodded, clearly understanding that it likely wouldn't go too well for him, "thank you Kyoya, I'd appreciate that." Tamaki took his hand, leaning in and butting his head against Kyoya's chest gently, "you're a great friend, thank you."
