i finally revised the swap au introductions a while ago so here is part 1! also some further notes about them are under the cut if you’re interested

oh also character’s abilities are the same in this au but their ability levels (as well as their roles in the story) are swapped

Sera was a late bloomer at start and her parents feared that she would be weak like her sister until her abilities manifested. After that, they were quite strict and controlling towards her to ensure that she would keep growing stronger. She was very close with her sister Leilah, who left the family due to their parents’ constant complaints about her having no ability but she remained in close contact with Sera. As the queen of New Bostin, she was cold and ruthless. She was frustrated by her weak ability at the start but once her power level started increasing, she fought frequently to prove her strength and came out victorious each time. She was close friends with Evie and Roland until the incident led to her expulsion from school. Lived with Leilah for a while after readjustment classes and read her banned book during that time, which was dedicated to her.

John grew up violent, always ready get in fights, and almost never lost any of them. His mother wasn’t around during his early childhood, and his father left a few years after, with no contact since. His uncle raised him, though their relationship wasn’t the best. John finds him pretentious and controlling while Cameron finds him stubborn and rebellious. As the king of Wellston, he was known for his short temper and tendency to start fights. After befriending Seraphina, he left his position to Arlo and became the ace, despite Remi's discontent. Spending time with Seraphina made him more carefree, though he still lost his temper easily. Lost his ability in an ambush by Spectre and a while after that, he temporarily regained with the help of his father, who turns out to be working for Spectre. Later started working for them to maintain his power. Even though they work together after their reunion, he deeply resents his father for abandoning him as a child, while William still tries to build trust with him.

Small Town AU (Greaseball and Slick)

Slick and Greaseball met when they were both about thirteen or so

Since this is a human AU, I like to think that most of the characters have their name as their first name with the exception of Greaseball and Slick

Greaseball is her last name, but she chooses to go by her last name (just like her dad)

Slick, when she had been put into Momma’s care, was at that age where she wanted to reinvent herself and was trying to think of the coolest nickname she could think of and landed on Slick

She gets very defensive when anyone uses her actual first name, and will seek vengeance one way or another.

On Slick’s first day of school she ended up in an argument with Greaseball because Greaseball told her that her nickname was stupid and she wasn’t going to use it

In retaliation Slick kept using Greaseball’s first name in conversation as much as possible until Greaseball ended up snapping

“Greaseball is my actual last name, Slick sounds like something you picked out of a shitty dystopian novel”

Slick and Greaseball then got into a fist fight at school within the first three hours of meeting eachother

Nothing bonds two thirteen year olds more than sitting in the chairs outside of the principal’s office waiting for their parents to pick them up and thinking “how do I word my story to my parent in order to get grounded for the least amount of time as possible”

The two of them were genuinely workshopping their stories and swapping ideas of how to weasel their way out of trouble

It wasn’t until Momma and GreaseDad came to pick them up that they remembered that they were in fact in deep trouble

They have been best friends ever since…even if neither of them will admit that they are each other’s best friends

In the current day, Slick has been crashing on Greaseball’s couch a few days a week.

As quickly as Slick ends up in an argument with Momma, it’s just as quickly that it’s resolved the next day

Their relationship is strange as mother and daughter at times, and Slick really stresses out Momma with her antics but they both know that they care for each other

Greaseball however, gets a bit tired of hearing Slick complain about whatever the most recent argument is about

At the same point, Momma McCoy absolutely petrifies Greaseball because she’s either got that look in her eyes as if she’s either about to lecture you or put you to work

So Slick is welcomed at the Greaseball household any time without question

Niko, looking at green ghostly flame and electricity surging in it as she is trying to keep herself warmth. This was a bad idea to wear her ‘We have nothing to lose but our chains’ leggings and her ‘Where is my Mind?’ Denim Jacket on a cold spring night. Glancing at hero-in-training, Ariel Turnbull, the cyborg daughter of Tommy Turnbull and Lola Mbola-Turnbull, enjoying the softness of the cloud, and then shift her eyes at another hero-in-training, Muhammad James… Who is now staring at her! Niko’s eyes are widen as she realize she just stare back at him. Muhammad and Niko start blushing, and then suddenly the fire grows big, causing her to snap back to what she is suppose to be focusing on.

“Crap!” Said Niko, clutching on to her left arm where her flaming hand is with her right hand. Ariel opens her eyes, and notices what is happening.

“Oh no, Niko. Breathe!” Said Ariel.

Niko frowns but then nod. She take a moment to breathe to ensure the size of the flame is back to hand-sized. Niko, Ariel, and Muhammad let out a sigh of relief. Nothing bad is going to happen to them on Muhammad and Ariel’s time from crime fighting and time from studying. Niko’s time away from healing others, graffiti painting, and most of all, time away from her (biological) father assigning her some tasks for her to do.

acotar au - vanserra family progress

this all still a work in progress but here are some foundational thoughts on the ruling family of the autumn court

i want to expand more on autumn court laws, traditions, and social expectations after i complete the family tree

and yes i got rid of 3 of lucien's older brothers, but i'm giving him a younger sister (or twin sister) to make up for it

i just haven't designed her yet because i'm still debating on whether she's beron's daughter or helion's daughter !

Thoughts on the medieval au?

Medieval AU

Okay so the medieval AU focuses on John and Seraphina. It’s basically a ship fic premise, but I’m not big into shipping so I might make it platonic through sheer brute force. Haven’t decided yet. Either way, the other characters aren’t really involved.

(Side note, the name isn’t entirely accurate because it’s not historically accurate to any specific time period. It’s more like those classic fantasy settings that are loosely based on old-timey Europe — you all know what I’m talking about.)

So basically: Seraphina is a rich noble lady, and John is a peasant boy. They meet, and their relationship progresses much like canon. John helps Seraphina loosen up and let go of expectations, in large part by annoying her into being his friend.

The twist is that Sera’s John-inspired character development coincides head on with a fancy rich-people ball or something. You see, there’s gonna be a whole lot of other high-tiers there, and Sera’s mom wants her to go to this ball to find the strongest guy there and marry him. Narissa wants Sera to look her best and be on the top of her game with like, flirting and whatnot to increase her chance of getting the “best” husband. Increase the family’s status or whatever.

Sera, of course, doesn’t want this. As she’s preparing for the ball, she decides last minute to cut off her hair, and by “last minute” I mean in the dressing room. Narissa freaks out but she doesn’t have time to be mad at her daughter so she just has the servants cut her hair even so that it actually looks nice and then they send her off to the event. At the ball, John shows up (snuck in to say hi). Sera decides “fuck this shit” and sneaks off to go have fun with John instead.

So, yeah! It’s a bit trope-y but I think it’s cute.

Might decide to have Arlo also be at the ball, but I can’t think of anything notable for him to do and it would be a little unusual to have a main cast member as a background/cameo character.

Drabble: Silly Kittens And An Unbreakable Brotherly Love

It was a quiet day on the Boiling Isles as the most inseparable pair of brothers, a certain young Grimwalker and a certain small starboy with otherwordly fluffy lavender hair and a heart of gold, witnessed something funny.

Colli's six kittens, who apparently shared a single braincell, were tackling each other. Colli and Hunter couldn't help but chuckle. "Silly kitties!" Colli said, a amused expression on his adorable multi-colored face. The kindhearted eternal little boy decided to take a few pictures with his scroll.

Hunter was just as amused as his greatest treasure. The former Golden Guard with silky blonde hair kissed lovingly his darling little brother's freckled cheek. The immortal celestial boy floated into Hunter's arms and kissed just as lovingly his precious big brother's scarred cheek.

First impressions - New Beginnings AU

Hello hello everyone I'm back at it again at Krispy Kreme- I mean my Mariolore AU silliness and I have with me today the Lineage of the Queens of the Mushroom Kingdom. The line of Queens will range from Dove all the way into the future/modern era to the princess that will one day become Queen. Without further ado let us begin with Queen Dove herself :3

Queen Dove was indeed "Beloved by the Realm" as her gentle spirit had managed to tame her husband King Boo known as the "Tyrant King". Dove was also a devoted mother to her and Boo's two children Theresa and Haru, and a loving wife for many years up until King Boo's death. After her husband died, the Queen continued to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom for 3 more years until she abdicated the throne to her oldest child and only daughter Theresa, retiring and becoming the Dowager Queen as she moved into the Summer Castle to live out the rest of her life...

Queen Theresa the Mad ascended to the throne at 21 years old when her mother Queen Dove abdicated the throne to her. The first few years of her reign were peaceful until Theresa eventually suffered from a mental breakdown due to a build up of paranoia, believing that her younger brother Haru was planning to take her throne for himself, which caused her to start attacking some of the other kingdoms in the region. Eventually she did get overthrown by Haru who used the power of the Seven Stars to seal her away into a painting, but not before she used the last of her dark magic to place a curse on her brother and his bloodline, uttering the words "No more sons shall inherit the throne forevermore..."

Queen Papaya of the Sprixies was the daughter of Queen Green Sprixie, and when Prince Haru of the Mushroom Kingdom arrived at her home to seek asylum after Queen Theresa's failed attempt to kill him, she convinced her mother to let him stay. During the time the prince stayed at the Sprixie Kingdom, he and Papaya fell in love before Haru eventually set off to take back the Mushroom Kingdom once his older sister started getting out of control with her destruction. After the war ended and Haru was crowned King, Papaya and her Sprixie servants left the Sprixie Kingdom and used their magic to restore the region back to life when it was on the brink of ruin. As soon as she reunited with the newly crowned King of the Mushroom Kingdom, Haru asked her to marry him and become his Queen, to which she accepted. Their marriage would unite the Mushroom and Sprixie Kingdoms together, and during her reign as Queen, Papaya oversaw that the Sprixies had a good relationship with the Toads and Humans of the Mushroom Kingdom...

Queen Momo the Precious would be the first Queen to start the lineage of female monarchs, as she was the daughter of King Haru and Queen Papaya. As a child Momo learned how to dance and her love for dancing grew with her into adulthood, and even as Queen she continued to dance at festivals, parties, and other events. Momo adored her subjects just as much as they loved her, and her reign over the Mushroom Kingdom would be known as a Golden Age. Under Momo's rule, peace, prosperity, and the people all flourished in the Mushroom Kingdom...

Queen Sora the Warrior was the daughter of Queen Momo and feared by those who dared to threaten the Mushroom Kingdom. As a young child she watched her father train the knights and guards that defended her home, and after many pleas to join her father decided to let her train as a knight. Even after many years of training Sora would still continue to spar with the knights as Queen, and soon her skills were put to the test when a rouge faction of Koopas started attacking the Mushroom Kingdom due to a disagreement over territory. Enemies would flee upon seeing the massive sword Sora carried with her, and during the battle that becoming the turning point only one Koopa mage was brave enough to try to defeat the Warrior Queen, but fate had their plans as during their fight Queen Sora and the Koopa Mage fell in love. And from their love the Queen and the Mage combined their swordsmanship and magic to end the fighting once and for all...

Queen Elemora the Majestic was the half human half koopa daughter born from the union of her parents, her mother being Queen Sora and her father a Koopa Mage. Elemora proved to be her father's daughter as she inherited his koopa magic, and just like her mother learned how to be a warrior from her father, Elemora learned from her father on how to use her koopa magic. When the half koopa queen was crowned, she wasted no time in making sure that the relationship between the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdom was restored to its greatness as the previous war had caused it to deteriorate. Even though majority saw Elemora as a human, there would be times when those unlucky enough would bear witness to her koopa side...

Queen Seraphina the Songstress was the daughter of Queen Elemora, and just like the title she held Seraphina's singing was the most beautiful thing that the Mushroom Kingdom and the entire region could hear for thousands of miles. As her singing started as a child, Seraphina would continue to carry a tune into her adulthood and when she became Queen she sought to utilize her voice to the fullest extent. Seraphina would then oversee the building of the Sparkle Theater as one of her first acts of Queen, and once it opened many came far and war to see the Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom perform as the first Opera Singer in the Sparkle Theater. After performing many solo acts, she eventually began to perform duets with her husband, a Luma being who was banished after he began to become more human...

Queen Morgana the Devoted is the daughter of Queen Seraphina, and since she was a teenager Morgana loved being social with everyone she came across. The young queen's marriage to a newly promoted captain boosted morale for the citizens, as the his business in trading overseas flourished which led to the economy of the Mushroom Kingdom being nearly restored to it's former glory. But tragedy would strike as shortly after the couple's daughter was born, a dangerous storm had struck the king's ship while he was out at sea, and the captain went down with his ship after making sure his crew had safely made it out. Queen Morgana would grieve over the loss of her beloved husband along with the Mushroom Kingdom, and she would make sure that she put her young infant daughter who needed her the most first above all else. As her daughter grew into a child, Morgana began a relationship with a Koopa diplomat who had been friends with her late husband, and eventually the two of them wed. When her daughter grew older and married her own husband, Morgana abdicated the throne to her and retired to the Summer Castle as the Dowager Queen with her second husband. The Dowager Queen and her current husband still reside in the Summer Castle, as they grow older together...

Queen Freya the Wonder is the daughter of Queen Morgana and the current ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom as we enter the modern era. As fate would have it, Freya happened to posses the powers of the Oracle and this meant that she was also the new Queen of the Celestial Kingdom, causing for the island that had been neutral for centuries to now become allied with the Mushroom Kingdom. With Freya's powers as an Oracle proving to be the strongest out of all previous rulers of the Celestial Kingdom, the Seven Stars themselves descended onto the Mushroom Kingdom so they could teach the young "Queen of Queens" on how to use her powers to better the world itself. Queen Freya continues to rule over the Mushroom Kingdom and uses her powers to protect it along with the other kingdoms...

Princess Aurora "Peach" Toadstool is the young 14 year old daughter of Queen Freya, and is an eager little princess that has a heart for animals and adventure. She still has a lot to learn on what it truly means to be a Queen of the Mushroom Kingdom, but nonetheless she continues to grow everyday and run around the castle she calls home under the watchful eyes of her parents and the castle staff...

And that concludes the Lineage of the Queens of the Mushroom Kingdom! To wrap it all up I also have a family tree that I created so it can help everyone remember who's the daughter of who. It also includes the names of the kings that the queens married :D (If you guys are having trouble reading my handwriting in some certain areas then just let me know and I can type it out so it's easier-)
