Introducing Lita May!

I’d originally introduced Lita to my patreons, but Ive now changed a lot of her backstory (and design), because I was struck by inspiration at like three in the morning, (and was getting fomo from all the other absolutely adorable turtle babies I’ve been seeing)

So we all know Donnie created a mech body for Raph thanks to concept art, but in this AU, I feel like Donnie would be juuuuust morally questionable enough to think creating backup clones first would be a good idea. He wasn’t expecting the small bits of Krang tech he had to incorporate to have such a huge impact, tbh he wasn’t even really expecting anything at all—which is also why he used his own DNA for the trial run, and…since Donnie wasn’t expecting a success, he was pretty shocked at the final result.

Donnie was also only able to observe the first month and a half of “incubation” (tube not egg), but was, unfortunately stuck at another resistance base for so long, when he returned, Lita May had grown a substantial amount and was ready to be removed from her tube (he was back for like two days before she started opening her eyes and reacting to stimulus). She took three months total to grow.

Raph and Leo kinda don’t really know how to react to her. Leo immediately clocks the Krang characteristics and is pretty furious. Raph is just confused, but when Donnie fills them in on the origin of Lita’s birth, Raph’s not too happy either. Neither one takes it out on Lita. Donnie does get a pretty severe talking to. Mikey, Timothy and Cass are so excited, and April is beyond shocked to be named the godmother. The family keeps Lita a secret, but it’s evident that she’s got some Krang in her, and they all know that the other members of the resistance might try to hurt her, and ask Renet to take her. Casey loses his playmate, but he does get to see her every few months.

She’s kept in the dark about her family’s future, and is pretty mad at Renet for not warning her of her anything, and she eventually gets sick of the secrets.

You mentioned wanting art requests for the sep au-- how about casey jr staring at mikey trying to figure out what the heck happened to Master Michelangelo to make him so different from his younger self? If you want to, ofc.

LMAO no but literally, in the bad future Mikey and Donnie ended up growing really close, and he was always really kind and caring towards CJ too. So seeing this younger Mikey act so hostile towards both Donnie and CJ himself is WEIRD! (Don't worry, they all start bonding after the invasion is dealt with)

And CJ's design in the AU is mostly the same as in canon, the only real change is the mask. I'm still figuring out the details of the bad timeline, but basically Leo dies first lol, then Donnie dies, and then Raph and Mikey are both alive until the moment they send CJ back into the past. So because of that, in this AU Leo isn't CJ's sensei, but rather Raph! Also I'm probably gonna keep Casey Sr alive a lot longer too so she also has more of a presence in CJ's life. So with all this in mind, CJ wouldn't paint Leo's stripes on the mask in this AU but rather something based on Raph and/or Casey, so that's why the mask has red eyeliner lol (Casey has red eyeliner, and also red is associated with Raph) I also asked for advice on the mask deisgn from some pals on discord and everyone wanted Mikey's stupid bean eyebrows on the thing so yeah they're there now too XD. After all of that this is the story I ended up coming up with:

Also some of you might've seen a post that circulated around the fandom recently that pointed out the possibility of CJ having a prosthetic hand (here's a link to it) and I love that concept so I'm establishing it as canon in my AU!

Separated Casey AU-

I used a lot of Mirage references for this - but Casey was taken and raised by the Krang. He was brought up by Glurin, named after an Utrom from Mirage:

He's a scientist inside the Technodrome and modified Casey with the Krang enhancements. He acts like Casey's dad and does show him affection. Though, it did give him a complex being known as a human risen above the others. Even if you remove the Krang he would still want humanity's end. At first, the Leader wanted him to be a mindless beast but Glurin convinced him that they could bring him up as a Krang and infiltrate human bases. I'll finish my Glurin's ref sometime...

Casey goes by Shadow (ow edgelord), because he followed the Leader around the Technodrome when he was little and the name stuck. Also another reference to Mirage; Shadow was Casey's daughter.

The Krangification is all internal to better hide himself. Ty for looking at my edge- BYE

for context, the "she" they're referring to is constance; capital punishment for crimes such as murder in ghoul society is pinioning one's wings, referred to as wing clipping for simplicity's sake. since leota is an expert on ghoul physiology and kind of an authority figure in the group, she's the one who performs such an act when it's necessary.

I got tired of differentiating between them lol

"A dance competition!?" Donnie shakes Pepper's shoulders as he looks around the room, soaking in the dance floor and the flashing lights. "This competition finally has some class!"

"Dancing? Sweet." Sprout gives Big Leo a light nudge with his elbow. "Are you going to be able to keep up, wrinkled raisin? Don't throw out your hip."

"Watch it." Big Leo gives him a light cuff on the head, smirking. "I know all the dance moves that haven't even been invented yet, remember?"

"Uh, hey guys?" calls out Pepper, cutting through the argument. "I think I see our opponents, and... we have a big problem."

"What problem?" asks Big Leo.

"Are they impervious to flamethrowers?" asks Sprout.

"Worse." Pepper turns to look at them sadly, gripping Donnie's hand. "They have better drip than we do."

"WHAT!? BETTER DRIP!?"

"BETTER DRIP!?" repeats Donnie, delayed.

Both other Leos and Donnie scramble to take a look at the group Pepper has pointed out. They are, indeed, quite stylish.

"No way! Where'd they even find clothes like that here!?" yells Sprout.

"Ooooh, you may have bested me in wardrobe, Alternata-tello," mutters Donnie, "but you will not best me on the battlefield!"

"It's a dance competition, Donnie," Big Leo reminds him.

"It's war!"

"I can't even wear clothes so this is all on you guys," says Pepper, arms folded. "Quick, find something flashy and appropriately 90s flavored."

"Hey, guys, let's calm down," says Big Leo, arms held out placatingly. "This isn't a fashion show. It's a dance competition! We just have to stir the audience's hearts with our passionate moves! Don't lose hope!"

Sprout and Pepper look at each other.

"It's been an honor to serve with you," says Pepper, holding out his hand.

"And an honor to serve with you," Sprout replies, taking his hand and shaking it.

"Have you guys given up already!?"

"Heeeeey, so..." Donnie taps Sprout's arm. "How exactly does the self-destruct on this thing work?"

"Donnie!"

"Whaaat, I was just asking!"

I must say, I am wildly entertained by your Leo's baggie capri pants. Truly only something he could pull off.

So for all the Drax Trio boys, when it came to designing their clothes I took inspiration from Draxum's outfits, mainly this one

(Whyyyyyyyy does he have the same face as Leo in the image aboveeeee lmaoooooooo, like father like s- *gunshot*)

But with Leo I also took quite a bit of inspo from F!Leo's outfit

Which is how he ended up with those pants lol. They're mostly the same as the ones he wears in the future but, uh, like Drax-ified? If that makes sense.

Shadow of the Krang: Glurin's ref! One of the many Krang aboard the Technodrome that doesn't join the front lines: he is a scientist/ engineer and has a curiosity for humans. He used a bit of himself to make Shadow's Krang modifications.
