also. I would like to make a post about the weirdest procedures or products that people are desperately trying to get in order to remain young. so scary. salmon sperm on your face. are we fucking fr. when was the last time you got your moles checked for cancer instead. but I mean- we have people using diabete medicines without a second thought to get skinny, so I wouldn’t say that health is the main concern here.

DIY ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS
Essential Oils have surely changed our lives for good. With the aroma, the beauty and the health benefits, one cannot stop using essential oils once included in the lifestyle. I find my oils to be my personal therapist that uplifts both my skin and my mood whenever I want to. Yet no matter how much variety of the oils I have, being a creative person I feel like adding a personal touch to it. So, I turn to my Essential oils blends depending upon my mood and purpose, which I prepared myself after I became a loyal user of the essential oils. So I would like to share some of the DIY Essential Oil Blends which are super easy to use but will create a lot more difference to your life.
Tumblr media
 GUIDE TO ESSENTIAL OILS:
So, if you are new to the enchanting world of aroma and oils, no problem! It won’t take time to be covered in its love. If you are already reading this, well I’m super excited to share my DIY blend recipes with you. Let me tell the newcomers, what exactly a blend is and how it is more effective than a normal essential oil.
As it is obvious that a blend is made by adding two or more essential oils together, but the thing is..Which oils and how much? There are thousands of essential oils in the world and each have their own unique properties, how can we decide which we want. Well..honestly you’ve gotta explore!!
There are some tips for making the initial purchases for your oils:
Start with the common oils that you generally hear people using. These are popular for a reason. Each drop of an essential oil is derived from a large quantity of the plant, thus it is highly concentrated. You should start with the safest of oils and mild ones after researching and reading the reviews of others. A totally alien oil may leave you clueless both in terms of its properties and aroma.!!
Always make sure that you have a Carrier oil at home before an essential oil. As stated above essential oils are highly concentrated and cannot be used without dilution in a suitable carrier oil. Carrier oils include Almond oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil, etc.
Never buy oils from unauthentic sources. Always prefer trusted brands and even if you want to try new because that pretty friend of yours recommended, ask for specifications or certificate. If you are going to use oil for topical purposes, the purest of product should be allowed to go deep into your skin and not cheaper fake oil. Sva naturals is a trusted and verified brand and my absolute favourite. HBNO is also a very reputed brand. So you may buy from here.
A patch test on hand before actual application is always recommended before the use to see how the skin is reacting to it. The test should also be with the diluted oil.
After you’ve got the oils, bring clarity on how do you want to use it. Though the thing is, it can be used anywhere!! My mom uses Rosemary and argan blend for her head massage and my friend uses Lavender- Clary sage blend in her YOGA studio. A cousin of mine prefers sandalwood and frankincense blend in his office diffuser. My niece makes amazing fragrant candles using different blends of her own. All purchased from SVA Organics, we really don’t want to switch to other brand.
So there are hundreds of ways to use these oils. And the best way is YOURS. Yes, you heard me right! Because whatever purpose they solve, they are therapeutic and safe to use. With everything adulterated around us, these are still keeping us closer to nature and pure oils are absolute magic
So here are my few blends which I have been using for some time now and it’s working really well.
MATERIAL REQUIRED FOR BLENDING:
·         Gloves Since the essential oils are highly concentrated, they are better off the skin before dilution!
·         Droppers or Glass pipets To easily pour and to avoid the unnecessary spill or mixing of oils, get few droppers of glass pipets preferably separate for each oil.
·         Glass bottles, containers or cups In size from 1 oz to 8 oz, get few glass containers for mixing of oils and storage as well. Try to avoid plastic containers as the oils may react so we prefer glass.
·         Blotting Paper or Cotton Balls We might have a steady hand but, spills happen and we don’t really like stains.
·         Notepad You may wanna write your own amazing blends too. So before they vanish from your mind, just write them down.
MY DIY ESSNTIAL OIL BLENDS:
ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS FOR HAIR
Yes, I’m mentioning hair before skin because I’ve got really long hair which is very difficult to handle but I love them and I have really witnessed changes after I included essential oils in my hair care regime!! The hair fall rate reduced significantly, the hair is smoother and shinier than before and my man loves scented the hair ..so a win-win situation! A no. of hair blends that you may like according to your aroma preferences:
·         1/2 cup (approx 4oz) of VIRGIN COCONUT OIL
·         25 drops of Rosemary oil
·         1/2 cup of CASTOR OIL

·         6 drops of Peppermint oil
·          ½ cup of ALMOND OIL
·         10 drops Rosemary Oil
·         5 drops of Peppermint Oil
·         5 drops of Chamomile Oil
ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS FOR OILY AND ACNE PRONE SKIN
A must for all dear sensitive skins out there who become as dull as mine when they step out even for half an hour. All that sebum and oil on the face is just so annoying and acne hurts, ouch! Also my skin is a little sensitive so I’m suggesting some safe blends that you may use any time:

How to Choose the Skincare Products Best Suited for Your Skin
Tumblr media
Unless you have a background in Latin or some diploma in chemistry, studying the ingredients list on skincare products may be like reading a foreign language. That speech actually has a title --it's the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients. If you remember back to early science courses in which you learned about the scientific approach, it's a bit like this. The INCI is present to help make a standardized speech of fixing names to be used on labels across the world.
Sometimes producers will throw the regular customer a bone, placing the more common title in parentheses next to the scientific name, such as this: Tocopherol (Vitamin E). However, without that little nudge, the ingredients list often just resembles a series of long unknown phrases separated by commas.
Instead of doing detective work on the skincare products, it's a lot simpler to adhere to the popularity vote and opt for products with a cult following, particularly in the time of beauty influencers. But that's not necessarily the best route. As straightforward as it might be, there is no one-size-fits-all skincare remedy. As Jennifer David, MD, a dermatologist specializing in cosmetic dermatology and skin of colour dermatology, explains,"What works for your best friend may not work for you."
An individualized approach is crucial to finding the right skincare products with the right ingredients for your skin. This takes a little extra time, and it entails reading the ingredients list, but it's worth it.
Fortunately for you, we talked to dermatologists to make the entire process a little less intimidating. With some of this information in your back pocket, you can be much more confident consumer, and avoid reactive skin problems when trying out new products in the future.
According to cosmetic dermatologist Michele Green, MD, skin type is the most crucial factor in deciding what skincare products will work best for you personally. "There aren't any bad products but sometimes people with different skin types use the wrong product for their kind of skin," Dr. Green says.
You may have guessed it already, but those with acne-prone and sensitive skin need to be the most careful with various ingredients in their skincare products. To all of the oily skin types on the market, you are actually the winners : Oily skin may handle a wider variety of ingredients that can occasionally trigger breakouts or irritation to additional skin types. check out  cindy crawford skin care.
These are the ingredients Dr. Green indicates for different skin types:
For oily skin: Look for products containing alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid or salicylic acid), benzoyl peroxide, and hyaluronic acid. "These components are effective at controlling excessive sebum production while hyaluronic acid will produce hydration just in areas required," Dr. Green says.
For dry skin: Search for products containing shea butter and lactic acid. "These components provide hydration and gentle exfoliation to maintain dry skin looking radiant," Dr. Green says.
"They are great lashes and they usually don't break out anyone," Dr. Green says.
If you're not 100% sure what skin type you have, it's worth a trip to the dermatologist to confirm. Once you know your own skin type, you can begin selecting your products with a little more precision.
Don't buy into the hype "Packaging and popularity are occasionally simple traps that we encounter and shouldn't hold too much weight or worth into what we select for what's good for our skin," Dr. David states. If you are going to get a product based off a buddy or influencer's recommendation, you should not just pay attention to how good their skin looks today, but instead what kind of skin they were dealing with to begin out. That will give you a more reliable indicator for how well the product will operate for you.
In the past couple of years, cult-favorites such as the St. Ives Apricot Scrub and several Mario Badescu lotions have faced lawsuits from consumers who experienced some fairly serious adverse reactions. You don't have to panic if some of these goods are sitting in your cosmetics drawer in your home--this doesn't mean they're bad for everybody. But the backlash around some of these popular skincare brands and goods can function as a reminder that just because something gets the popularity vote doesn't mean that it's popular for the right motives, or that it's the right product for you.
Checking the ingredients list remains the best way to go, no matter how many positive reviews or stars the merchandise has online.
Natural does not necessarily mean greater Familiar words from the components list can be reassuring to view, but it doesn't always signify the safest route to take. By way of instance, Dr. David clarifies that poison ivy is a natural petroleum, but it's not one that you would wish to rub all over your skin. "I have patients come in pretty frequently with responses to organic essential oils, so again, it's one of the things where everybody is unique and you want to do what is best for yourself uniquely," Dr. David states.
She also warns that seeing the terms natural and organic on a product label is sometimes more of a marketing trick than anything else. Since those terms are not regulated and there are not specific industry standards for them, they can offer empty promises. Additionally, sometimes a item will be tagged as natural with regard to only a couple of those ingredients on the list.
When you know what main ingredients you are searching to prevent or go later, you'll want to look closely at where they collapse on the components list. As a good guideline, Dr. David recommends looking at the first five ingredients, because that will often account for approximately 80 percent of the merchandise's cosmetics.
Ingredients will be listed in order of highest to lowest concentration, so if there's a problematic or potentially irritating ingredient among the first five recorded, you will want to steer clear of the product. In the same way, if you are looking for a product for specific ingredients, but these ingredients have been listed at the conclusion, then that product is not worth your money. With such a small percentage in the overall solution, you won't experience the benefits of the ingredients at the end of the listing.
Do not fear the ingredients list If it comes to the food we put in our body, we're often taught to look for a shorter, more comfortable ingredients listing. While a abbreviated list can be less difficult to decipher, it will not always cut it with regard to what you're looking to get out of your skincare products.
When you're looking for anti-aging properties or investing in medical-grade skincare products, the components list will obviously get a bit longer. And Dr. David states that shouldn't deter you. Rather, call in for just a little bit of backup--either from a dermatologist or tech --to help find out if the item is a good selection for you.
You don't have to become a walking dictionary in order to pick out skincare products with the ideal ingredients. Dr. David proposes two online databases for both ingredient and product search: EWG's Skin Deep database and CosDNA.
The EWG Skin Deep database is just 1 sector of their online services. The Environmental Working Group is a nonprofit organization geared toward research and education surrounding human and environmental health issues. From the Skin Deep database, skincare products are rated and performed by numerous factors, from manufacturing practices to potential health dangers.
CosDNA is much more of a no-frills database, but it dives even deeper into the components in a product, detailing their individual functions and security score.
Always do a patch test A patch test is smart practice in your process of product elimination. (Plus, it's a fantastic excuse to create a visit to Ulta or Sephora without spending a bunch of money.) Time to take advantage of these tester Solutions
