What bugs me most is when people say Stolas is "falling out of love with Blitz" just because he's not smooching Blitz to death or reciprocating the affection Blitz is giving to him in the final two eps. No.
Love doesn't magically cure depression, no matter how much love someone can be given, unfortunately.
His life before "MASTERMIND" was already a shit hole, in the throes of losing Blitz and the Stella scenario, the only good thing that ever happened to him was his daughter, Via. He says in "SINMAS", "You have always been the only good thing in my life," he's desperate at this point, desperate not to lose something so precious to him and a reminder he's probably not taken his medication since he was "exiled" so he's probably already "unstable" in the sense he's not what Via is used to.
After the scene with Via and Stolas, Stolas is most likely dead set on thinking Via hates him. He's crushed and is blaming himself for everything, especially after not being able to explain. He feels that he's completely lost his daughter, forever (while I'm hoping this isn't the case) at this moment it feels like it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Perhaps it might've gone better if Stella allowed the phone call (though we all know that was never going to happen) and Stolas had a chance to explain himself.
While yes, it was his choice to save Blitz and take the blame. Stolas didn't do it to get away from her, he didn't even know how she'd act to it, it was an in-the-moment choice that Stolas didn't get time to think through and bear in mind, Stolas went to save Blitz with the idea that this was it, he was going to die to save Blitz, he wouldn't even be around to apologize to Via.
Going back to my first point, love doesn't magically cure depression, it takes a lot of time and can be very draining to deal with. Throughout the episode, we can see how exhausted Stolas is.
As a person who's suffered with this myself, depression is different for every person but I do know it won't magically go away just because you're in a relationship. While it can make you feel better, it's not a miracle cure.
Depression is something that lingers and takes patience, time, and a lot of gooddamn resilience to conquer, and even then, people still have their shitty days, who doesn't?
It annoys me when people have such black-and-white views on things or only see what they want to see, if some people took a moment to take a step back and actually reevaluate the situation, they'll find what I'm saying.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not surprised Stolas didn't return the hug at the end because he's still grieving the loss of his daughter and Vias grieving the apparent loss of her father, he's still feeling like the shittest person in hell, still processing all these feelings and everything that's happened all while dealing with depression and an already serious shitty lack of self esteem, motivation and confidence in himself.
What im trying to say, Stolas isn't falling out of love with Blitz, he just needs time to heal, recover, and readjust to the new lifestyle he's been thrown into.
And with fingers crossed, work things out with Octavia in the next season.

I posted this on Stolitz Community and forgot to repost it so here ps; Edited to work/sound better better
I just wanted to go into something shortly, now, this isn't targeted at all but I wanted to talk about the age people are in this community/fandom. I'm not asking for your exact ages but I'm praying at least, at least all of you are 13+ but only because Helluva Boss is an adult show. And that's for a reason.
Another issue with the younger audience of Helluva Boss is the art they may see or the writing. I know some people don't like NSFW aka sexual content because it makes them uncomfortable and that's fine but what really annoys me is when people express disgust for seeing this art like it's some vile image that's burned your eyes. It's not. It's art from an Adult Show. But I've seen various comments left on posts on Stolitz art for it being 'suggestive' or sexual and I find it unacceptable. If you are in a fandom that targets adult viewers you are bound to see 'adult things'.
As mentioned before, I'm not calling out anyone or targeting people, I merely want to express my thoughts on the matter but I feel that when seeing these things there should still be a level of maturity and respect or you simply aren't mature enough to 1. be associated with helluva boss (because again, it's an adult show) and 2. comment on peoples work, simply scroll past it instead of leaving a nasty comment on it.
My last issue with a younger audience watching Helluva Boss is that many things in the show are complex. I'm not calling them stupid but things in that show require a certain level of understanding, for example, Stolas isn't a horrible father. He is a man who was forced into a marriage with an abusive wife which contributed to his depression He took medication for it and did the best he could in his situation, especially for his daughter. Yes, Stolas made mistakes on many accounts but who doesn't? and I'm not saying Octavia's reaction was bad either, Octavia is a teenager, a teenager in a shitty household unaware of her mother's ways and is feeling abandoned, like she's being chosen over a stranger she doesn't know.
I've seen many people argue who's right and who's wrong and while having an opinion is completely fine, it's not okay to spread hate and lash out at people for different opinions.
Lastly, I'm hasty to add, even if you aren't 13+ at least have a certain level of maturity and understanding when handling these topics. I'm not purposefully trying to call anyone out, this was me simply expressing my opinions and concerns about the younger fandom who are immature and often spread hate towards artists and writers who express their opinions. (not saying all of them are either)
That's all I wanted to get off my chest as it's been playing on my mind for a while now.

𝗠𝘆 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝘂𝗿𝗮.
I've not watched all eight seasons in a while so I'm going off on what I can remember from the top of my head so I could get parts wrong. Please feel free to share your own views in the comments.
Now, I know the fandom mainly hates Allura (from what I've seen anyway) primarily because she seems bratty, self-absorbed, or "used Lance as a rebound" not to mention she had been completely discrimtive towards Keith after finding out he was half-Galra for at least two episodes.
I agree half and half with this statement, I'll explain both views.
The reason I agree is that Allura had been bratty, self-absorbed, or used Lance as a rebound because you can use the excuse that she is young, and no way should have been given the power and leadership she was given. She wasn't mature enough for it. It's like asking an eighteen-year-old to run for a country.
While I understand her character gradually developed and she became more and more mature, it was still forced upon her way to early. In the early episodes, she seemed very bratty and demanding of the paladins to form Voltron, who not to mention had just left their home planet, their lives, in a giant robotic lion, met aliens, and fought against an entire evil force and were only sixteen to eighteen? While they managed to form Voltron, I felt that Allura was pressuring them far too hard.
And when Keith, to what we can assume as we never saw it, let team Voltron know he was half Galra, not only did she struggle to meet his eyes but continued to appraise Hunk while ignoring Keith's efforts on the mission following. I can understand most of her entire race was wiped out because of the Galra but it was like Keith had been the one to slay his father or thousands of people.
With Lance, she knew Lance loved him from early on, it was pretty obvious yet continued to drag it out and then suddenly decided she loved him right after being with Lotor? to me, it really seems like she was just a rebound while Lance loved her with everything he had and that she just took advantage of that factor.
However, I also see her as a good character with decent character development. Overtime, we can see how she gradually develops into a powerful, strong character.
For example, when she began to pilot the Blue Lion she unlocked new abilities that Lance hadn't been able to, or how she gradually warmed up to Keith and accepted him, I believe she apologized for her behavior towards Keith too. And when the castle was corrupted, despite being early on, she made the first step to fight against the illusions and made the correct choice to delete her father's AI.
The first time they went to the Blamera, she risked herself to revive the planet and save it from further harm, another good intention. While Allura seems to be misguided sometimes, she mostly does have good intentions for the universe.
Overall, I think her character wasn't bad or completely shit but I do think she could've handled certain aspects of situations a lot better than she had and I love her character design just not so much her personality.

I normally go on Tiktok to see cool edits or helluva boss but I came across a post victimizing Stella and normalizing Stella's constant abusive behavior.
While I normally respect many opinions people have on characters, the show, and ships even ones I don't agree with this is one I can't.
I refuse to get behind someone who is vindicating domestic abuse.
They were saying "she was also a teenager" and was "forced to have a kid" Yes, true, she was a teenager like Stolas and had to have a kid, he was told clear as day he was "destined to sire a precautionary addition to the Goetia family"
Yet, it still doesn't provide her the right to abuse and torment Stolas and as seen in earlier episodes, throw things at her husband even if he did sleep with an imp and he did make a "mistake" but it still doesn't warrant for her to assault Stolas, not to mention she literally tried to kill him by hiring an assassin (Striker). Twice.
I know Stolas isn't innocent, far from it but from what we've seen but not once has he laid a hand on Stella in an act of violence out of pure villainous intentions like Stella had.
Stella also said in "THE CIRCUS", "I like tormenting you." While they argue and Stella brings up wanting him to remember the affair, Stolas says "I would feel bad if I hurt you but we both know I didn't do that," Stella isn't upset that he had an affair, she's more concerned about her image than anything in my eyes.
"The only reason I have inured your constant insults and cruelty was for that girl to have a normal life."
We can see her rasing a hand to hit Stolas and we can infer its probably not the first time shes done it or tried too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I understand Stella hasn't had it great never being able to have the chance to find love on her own and being shoved into a marriage but people forget, so was Stolas.
The circumstances for her were shit, I know, but I refuse to let people just justify domestic abuse. Abuse is still abuse. Stolas was also in that boat she was, being thrown into a forced marriage, his life laid out for him, He even said he "tried to make it comfortable for us, but it was never enough."
Stolas tried, very hard to have some sort of a normal life, especially for his daughter and a woman who he had, let's not forget with a woman he reciprocated now a physical attraction for.
The show wouldn't be interesting without proper villains, because who wants a villain with no backstory, nothing for us to get attached to or dislike? and that's fine to like a villain character, I have quite a few villain characters I like.
But these characters are meant to have flaws and be sinister, It's what makes villains... well, villains but to show a just cause for years of domestic abuse and then villainising Stolas and portraying him as some kind of horrible monster, the victim of the abuse is where I draw the line.
I may sound rude to Stella lovers but it's not Stella's character I'm hating on, it's the fact people want to defend and justify domestic abuse or any kind of abuse for that matter. No matter how hard people try to, Stella has no excuses for her actions and I refuse to believe she does.

Call me Sennerixx or Sen for short :)
I'm an author with too many book ideas but not enough motivation and with a hectic lifestyle as of right now so expect inconsistency from time to time.
I'm quite picky with my blog and prefer to make it look as nice as possible to my standards or appealing to others so you'll see me changing colors often :,)
I often express my opinions on this blog, feel free to ask my opinions on any character, episode, or scenario through the ask box, and ill normally answer in as much detail as I can. I'd love to receive more asks on my blog so don't be shy too!

I do take requests, writing-wise anyway, just use the suggestion box and ask, it can be a scenario, or comic book scene you really like but be aware I am writing my own books right now so requests might not be seen or I might not have the time. I often do most ships if you have a form of request, don't hesitate to ask.
Due to an increase in bots on the community, it is now a request and invite join only. Don't be afraid to message me or request to join.
