Well, I guess this is another three hours donated to the bunnies. But their vet bills keep mounting. MH & PH are paying out of pocket retail prices (like they did for the new Royal Bunny Abode by Leith Petwerks - but did get a rescue discount) for the super premium Sherwood Health food which eliminates deadly bladder sludge senior buns get, costing thousands in vet bills and medication. Each year, fewer and fewer people help us out probably because we’re not able to accommodate retail-style adoptions. MH carefully advises adopters on which rabbits will fit their lifestyle the best and each adoption is done with a sense of craftsmanship. Remember that? It’s something adoption fees don’t cover. Really, we have donated our entire lives to bunny welfare. Yet, inspiring loyalty as adopters and donors is something gone with the wind, gone with the snows, and cool summers.
