WELCOME TO THE OLD GUY SMACKDOWN!
Do you have an OC who’s just, an old guy (gender neutral)? Simply a senior coot? That one neighbour who’s always calling the police on those pesky youngsters, or the cool grandparent who lets those same pesky youngsters get away with shit? Have they perhaps Seen Some Shit? Did they have an extremely long, complex, and interesting life?
WELL, THIS IS THE TOURNAMENT FOR THEM!
Rules:
The character must be your original character. No fandom characters, sorry! I do not know all of your lovely interests, and it would be draining to try and learn things about multiple fandoms I have no idea about, as I am just one guy!
You may only submit one character, because I want everyone to have an equal chance of winning.
The character must be actually old for their age, whatever race/species they may be. For reference of what I will personally consider an Old Guy, think about the equivalent of late 50’s in human years at the least, and older is of course allowed.
The character must be physically be perceivable as an Old Guy. No 1000-year-old immortals who still look like they’re in their 20’s. If your 1000-year old immortal does look like an actual old person though, that’s fully fair game and they may be submitted.
In that same line of ruling, no shapeshifters who sometimes happen to look old. If their primary form is a senior citizen, I might allow it, but it heavily depends on the context of the character.
Besides being an Old Guy, there’s genuinely no other requirements. Your character can be Just Some Neighbour, a retired former hero who’s participated in epic adventures in their past, the incredibly problematic villain of an epic adventure, a wise grandparent, or maybe they’re still kicking ass after all those years! Every single flavour of character is allowed, as long as they’re an Old Guy (gender neutral).
I will estimate how many characters the bracket will have after I see the general interest, but overall the more the merrier I say! The submissions are open until MAY 16TH, though the deadline may be extended if I think too little characters got submitted. May the one with the most old vibes of them all old the most oldingly!
