since im a little late to this ask, i think i may have answered this question with all my ramblings on dash but!! i'll condense the juicy deets here fgjhgjdfhgj

the secret to our romance is patience, balance, and mutual respect. i don't have our lore set in stone yet but i do think the one thing that draws me to him is his empathy and tenderness towards his soldiers. in the main story, when rover was asked to input their military strategy for this quest, jiyan was so receptive and encouraging :( i'm someone who thrives off positive reinforcement so i found it super sweet.

i might be part of the Midnight Rangers with him so the slow progression of 'mutual & professional respect -> admiration from afar -> sudden realisation that these are Actual Feelings' is fun to me <3

also, i think in terms of personality, we're almost the opposite and that keeps us going. i quite like a man who can ground me but also someone who can keep up with a bit of fire

i think i'll answer for alhaitham bc i have been screaming about that teal guy a little too much. i need you guys to know i still love alhaitham!!!!!!

what does modern ryuhaitham do for a living? hmm i run my own fragrance business, and alhaitham would be a museum archivist. an odd mix, right? hehe. if you know the brand diptyque, my business would be like that, so my designs would take a lot of inspiration from art and history

my favourite household item is the large sitting mirror i've placed in the living room. it's gorgeous and looks like a window. alhaitham's is the wall clock. not only does he love to know the time, and that it's stunning AND a great secondhand find, but it's placed in such a convenient spot that if i moved it elsewhere, he'd immediately be like 'wtf where'd it go'

in our free time, we'd sleep LMAO jk but not rlly. i feel like we'd be very busy with our jobs, so quality time is everything to us. we try to plan little dates. maybe we'd start shows or books together. maybe have a brief staycation? maybe play some boardgames? idk simply existing together is kinda just enough for us!! ooo i do think we'd host a lot of themed dinners with our friends tho. medieval trivia night at the ryuhaitham household??? hmmm???

So what do ryuhaitam like to do on a picnic- how do you guys spend your day what do you eat

OOOOOUUUUUUU HI DANYL WE LOVE PICNICS <3

we try to go to more secluded spots bc we prefer to be in our own bubble. sometimes it’s inside a secret pocket deep within the jungle or on a high high cliff top (or even in a tree if it’s big enough). we enjoy small board games, trivia games and we like to scavenge things if we’re bothered but… we’re also lazy af so we like doing nothing too LMFAO. sometimes we simply just chat and kiss until the sunset suddenly reminds us to go home. if not that, he reads and naps and i’m probably crafting something. or collecting nearby item like flowers, foliage, or shells. ok steve from minecraft

as for food we have a variety. alhaitham always makes a point to say that it’s not necessary to bring the entire pantry but he’s the one who’s snacking on the extra food before we get there and on our way home >:| we normally make sandwiches and bring an assortment of dips to put our bread and crackers in. lots of fruit (freshly cut or dried). nuts and seeds to nibble on. and maybe one big savoury dish if we feel like being fancy 👀 like biryani mmmmmmm

our picnics are so relaxed, we try to do them as often as we can. especially if the akademiya (since we both work for the akademiya after graduating) has been quite demanding on us lately. fun fact, he always has the tea on everyone due to his position and for the way he can easily pick up on stuff from listening conversations around him (if he’s even listening through those earpieces) so he’s constantly dropping gossip to me but not realising it himself 😭 i’m perpetually like 👁️😟🤔🙃🫣😳 i’m nosy so i’m not complaining LOLL

well well well my actual plans for vday was surprising my bestfriend with roses and concert tickets <3 the night ended with a few glasses of wine and a cheeky margarita hehe :>

i usually love activities more than gifts so i feel like alhaitham would’ve planned something fun. he knows about my interest in baking, despite me not liking cake very much, so i think he’d set aside some time for us to bake a big beautiful cake together (will it actually come out big and beautiful? who knows heh). honestly we don’t go big big on valentine’s day only bc i feel like he already spoils me every other day 🥺 so the cake + flowers + cuddling on the couch is most likely all we do !!!! well all the sfw stuff at least :^)

AND OMG LAZY DAYS WITH LUCIFER ARE THE BEST BECAUSE HES ALWAYS SO DAMN BUSY. i’m trying to get him to stay in bed all day because this man needs to relax. we probably have the gramophone playing in the background the entire day. the only time we get up is to shower together and make some coffee and maybe to have little dance if our favourite songs come on. the entirety of the day would be spent reading and flirting and pawing at each other. he’s as old as time itself so i love hearing him talk about the many many things he’s experienced. there is never a repeat of a story! also he teaches me some literal magic tricks in the mean time as well. probably shows me forbidden magic and tells me i must not hush a word of this to anyone 🤫
