When Akira was a baby, his mom couldn’t find a babysitter sometimes, which resulted in Maya taking him with her to work. Mostly when she was out taking in interviews to people since children weren’t really allowed in Coolest. Maya took Akira in a little backpack carrier, just like he does with Morgana in game, but with more safety things installed so that baby him couldn’t fall or get hurt. Akira would babble cutely after Maya asked questions to others, and mostly the interviewers would laugh at that scene of a woman carrying her child and asking questions. He was more friendlier as a baby and would peek over Maya’s shoulder a lot to see what was going on.

Akira was born with bad tooth genetics. He brushes, flosses, and rinses the best he can but he is still riddled with cavities, broken teeth, and the need for braces when he was younger. He has a few missing since they were really bad and needed to be pulled. Fortunately, they were back teeth, so he can still smile and all that without the need to hide. Goes to the dentist a lot to get those fixed and wishes that he had better genetic makeup.

Akira cannot for the life of him, sit or stand up straight. This is because he has been slouching for a long as he can remember and his spine has somewhat formed like that. Sure his parents, especially Katsuya, reprimanded Akira about it but that advice had gone through one ear and out another. He has tried to correct the posture the best he can but has all but failed. Akira doesn’t really have too many people telling him to sit up and walk better, save Ryuji, who’s really worried about Akira but refrains from pushing the issue too far.

1: Kaito is a memelord.

He's the kind of person who quotes memes in the group chat, sends the most random stuff he can find on his other social media platforms to his friends, and he uses a gratuitously large amount of kaomojis, especially the ones with a lot of sparkles and magic wands.

He does have alt accounts for his alter ego KID, but none of them are actually confirmed. People believe them well enough though. He's a bit more sophisticated when typing as KID too, but he does subtly slip in the occasional vintage meme because KID is supposedly in his forties in the eyes of the internet.

No one knows that the one that appeared in Paris roughly 20 years ago and the modern day KID are two totally different people, and Kaito does his best to play into that illusion as well as he can on those accounts. To varying results.

2: Kaito built the card gun himself.

Mister "I have a canonical IQ of 400" over here is totally capable of building his own gadgets. Not everything he uses on his heists come form "Jii's professor friend," and Kaito is somewhat uncomfortable outsourcing his own gadgets for criminal activity anyway. The less paper trails the better.

Kaito is a magician at heart, but he's also got a bit of a passion for technical engineering. Read: Teleportation in Kinza using only a giant pully he threw together in one day. These innovations skills are what put him over the degree of most other magicians in universe up to this point.

He also built a motor bike from scratch, but it got in a crash some time prior to the Sun Halo heist, and he didn't have time to rebuilt it himself with everything going on, so he sent it to the professor friend despite the risks since he'd planned to use it in the escape.

Kaito also mixes his own knockout gas. He always makes sure to test it on himself before he deploys it at any heist and makes sure he doesn't spray anyone with something he himself isn't comfortable inhaling. He doesn't want to accidentally asphyxiate someone while making a getaway. All of his knockout gas is rose-scented, he grows his own flowers for his tricks and uses the excess to make his sleepy time serum a bit more pleasant.

In Akira’s Obey Me verse, it was actually Diavolo that chose Akira to join in the Devildom for the ‘exchange program’ between demons, angels and humans. Although it’s mainly because of the few people to kill an actual god that has Diavolo’s attention and why a certain trickster was sent to live in the demon realm for a year without his permission mind you, it’s mainly because Akira looks like Lucifer, if he was a human that is.

No matter what Final Fantasy world he is in besides FF IX, Akira’s main summon is Alexander. In IX, his main summon is either Shiva or Bahamut. Also summoning Alexander is extremely taxing on him and he has to sleep for like two days so having him doing so is not really recommended unless your party needs a miracle win.

Akira and his persona users and a few others are referred to in his Resident Evil verse from Umbrella, Tricell and the various evil organizations as the ‘Phantom Series units’. And are also considered BioWeapons, despite not being experimented upon.

Akira’s better at giving opponents status and technical damage than physical. Sleep, burns, electrical, frozen, forget, the famous MARIN KARIN, and then following up with moves he learned in the many books he had to read. Also from going to Kichijoji to Penguin Sniper. Also excels at Magic but that’s another story for another day.

Akira’s cosplayed a lot of Kaito Shion from Vocaloid before he was sent to Tokyo. He has tried to be other characters such as Len Kagamine and Gakupo Kamui, but nothing beats being his favorite from the main line up, spin-offs not included. Has a soft spot for underdogs apparently since both Meiko and Kaito weren’t the great success stories Miku was.

Despite Akira not liking chocolate, he did eat a whole cake once when he was about two years old. Being a toddler at the time, he doesn’t remember too much during that time but Maya reminds him from time to time and shows him pictures of him eating said cake and having a good time. The chocolate was even on his face but he cringes from it now, wondering what possessed him to eat such a monstrosity. He’s disgusted at his childhood self sometimes but hey, his taste-buds probably weren’t in development yet.
