Decided to romance Sen, but it felt weird knowing I’m banging a guy who looks like he’s from the Kirby franchise, so I’m working on a humanoid version of him. I still have some sprites to work on, but here he is so far.

I wish (not you, monkeypaw) to see more idle terrors. Like a town that has a huge, deformed skeleton that stalks the night, but it's too shy to break windows, so all you gotta do is be in before sunset and ignore any knocking. Emergencies? Underground tunnels, the skeleton has no idea. Every June 21st is its "birthday" which is just the first night it was spotted back in 1856.

I love that Stardew Valley mods will just have shadowfolk and talking cats wandering around, as if they've turned up to events enough that everyone goes "yeah we know Sen is a shadowfolk, but he's a little dear and he crochets everyone a scarf for winter. Look at this, that's a complicated pattern! He likes to pinch food so we take turns leaving him a plate in the garbage."

Terry Pratchett did some amazing fantastical mundanity.

Dance of the Moonlight Jellies

I've mentioned before how when I first installed East Scarp, my game would completely bork in the transition between Summer and Fall, meaning every time I made a change to my mod setup, I had to replay the last day of Summer. It took me damn near a week to figure out what the issue was (and I had to make a new save), but I got so sick and tired of this festival.

Time heals all wounds. It also helps that Dynamic Reflections makes the water so damn pretty.

You can see the stars! And it makes the Visible Fish so lovely too. (Well, the trash isn't so pretty....)

I've made mention before that I have so damn many NPCs these days. They really make the festivals feel more... festive.

They truly make the valley come alive.

Of course, every community has its grumpy loners:

I love Sen. I really, really do. His disguises for each festival are utterly fantastic.

And look, Jas! They did bring bebbies this year!

I started playing (modded) Stardew Valley recently, and it's been really fun! I drew some very rough art of my character and their various escapades

That one of Elliot was a gift for my sister. He's her favourite character & I saw this meme and it was too perfect LMAO

I also want to dropkick Shane into being less of an asshole and taking better care of himself. Like I'm concerned for him but in a violent way /j

So far I'm absolutely loving Mateo from the East Scarpe mod, they're my lad. I also love Sen from that mod set!!

My character's name is Mona (Yeah it was weird when I found out about the grave...) and if the outfit choices aren't enough to tell you, they're a witch. Thus why I'm playing modded. I wanted them to be able to do magic >:)))) Also like. Gender neutral pronouns and platonic relationships.

Mona showed up in town and was immediately like "I know who I want to be friends with first: the weird old men and the cryptids".

I'm playing a combo of the Dwarven Expansion, Easy Scarp, Better Things, and Cape Stardew. I also added the "raising sea animals" and "legendary fish ponds".

Basically my farmer is an aquatic adventurer named Coiriel. She was an Undine, a water elemental, before she decided to do what her grandpa did and go on land.

To do this, they found the closest thing they could to a sea witch: a man in a starry black suit with skin bluer than the water and thick glasses, as well as a magnificent hat. Coiriel chose their human form to look like him, even if it meant sticking out.

Unfortunately being a human means you need to make a living, which meant a job at Joja corp. Eventually this made him so bored he remembered his grandpa's letter and fled to Stardew Valley. Much better! Living near the riverland, raising his favorite crabs and squid!

(They do not know they are nonbinary yet. Mr. Qi gave them so much gender envy but they still haven't realized it.)

Okay, I was able to download the mod itself without any problems, as well as additionally Mateo, Hector and Sen the shadow guy. This is good :)

I couldn't download Always Raining in the Valley tho, because the mod it requires is causing problems in my game. This is not good :( (Maybe in the future I will be able to find a solution to the problem).

I haven't started studying all the NPCs yet, but soon I will be able to write headcanons for them too (for the base NPCs, for sure. It's a pity that I can't add Sterling)

So yeah, East Scarp :D

I have to say, I was still interested in this mod a long time ago, even added it to my list of desired mods to download.... But never got round to it, because I thought about the fact that even with East Scarp, the game would be too crowded with content and NPCs. On the other hand, I said the same thing about Ridgeside Village almost a year ago, and here I am now, writing headcanons and short stories about Amethyne family, enjoying the ninja story, living on a farm with June, grumbling at Jio, laughing with Daia, and tearing my hair out because Bryle and Faye won't admit their love for each other (I choose platonic answers with both of you for a reason you two dumb dorks kiss already aaaaaaaaaaa!).

It was kind of said that East Scarp is the smallest of the three most global mods, sooo... In principle, I wouldn't mind trying it, really, as long as my PC doesn't burn up from overflowing content lol.

Anyway, yeah, I'd like to see what's interesting and start writing headcanons. I really don't know when exactly I'll do that, but if anything - I'll create a separate post to announce it and add in the description about East Scarp! 😃

By the way, does anyone know - if I download East Scarp already in Year 2, will I lose a lot of content? Is it better to start a new game? Or is it possible with existing saves already?

Sen is a Very Clever Shadow Folk

One of the things that continually amuses me about the various East Scarp mods is that they all seem to know that Callie is working on the community center, and many of them also know about the Junimos. You have Lewis over here being all like, "Things are getting fixed? Well, it's a mystery...." Meanwhile, the folks in East Scarp are like, "Hmm? That bridge is fixed? Ah, the farmer must have gotten bored again...."

East Scarp at Night

I picked up a quest that requires Callie to spend some time out in East Scarp after dark. This led to her triggering quite a few heart events as she explored.
