we are a discord-based, 19+ muns/30+ muses rp, set in brookeline, new york — a fictional city that combines all our favourite parts of new york city and atlantic city, located on the coast!

relaxed, semi-appless, 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕 brings together a grab bag of various slice-of-life plots, and characters inspired by taylor swift's albums. our focus is fun, low-stakes events and development activities that encourage relationship building and social interactions across songs, collaboration with other writers that ultimately makes the rp juicier and more fun for everyone involved:

November 1st 2023;

A South Korean ship was spotted dead in the water outside the New York City harbor. The first two teams sent out to investigate disappeared without word, and eventually the Coast Guard towed the ship to shore. The moment that she landed, the outbreak started – hoards of the undead flooding from the rusted depths of the dead ship and spilling over onto the docks. Within a week the entire city had been overrun, forcing survivors into hiding inside and on top of buildings. Now, two weeks since the infection started, the power has finally gone out for the last time, fresh water is no longer being pumped through the pipes beneath the city, and the only movement in the streets are from the thousands of zombies that mill around waiting for something fresh and living to devour.Trapped inside the historical twelve story apartment affectionately named “The Wexley”, known for it’s mishmash of architectural styles that somehow make it charmingly ugly, it’s residents are doing what they can to survive until help comes.

March 2nd, 2024;

With numbers greatly reduced after a single horrible day, the remaining handful of Wexley Residents now can't help but hope and wait for their lost friends and relatives to return with the thawing of the snow.

As the years have gone on, The Emerald City has become a shell of its former self. “The Wizard” is silent, and yet his estate only grows larger. Villages outside of the city have run into financial despair, and the yellow brick road is in shambles - and while The Wizard’s four witches ( of the North, East, South, and West ) and their corresponding factions have become more vocal, it doesn’t seem like they’re in any rush to fix these issues either - not when more money and influence can be gained.

Are you a citizen of Oz? A criminal under one of the witch’s thumbs? Or perhaps you’re a newcomer, having heard of the grandeur of the Emerald City and hoping to be one of the 1%? Work in the city, outside it’s gates, or in the gritty underbelly that only the cunning few have seen. But keep an eye out. With a disappearing ruler, 4 crime lords now call this place their home and run it how they wish. You don't want to be caught unawares.
