any coastal/aquatic/semi-aqautic nonhumans that have a preference for the type of water they inhabit? i've never liked murky water as much as clear water, mostly because i can't see through it, and also because i don't wanna swim in soil and crushed rocks lol. clear water makes me feel safe and happy

I decided to share some notes about the species of the characters i showed off yesterday 1. The basial bodyplan of Grutamal's species was a semi-aqautic species that lived in similar lifestyle to earth's seals, hunting underwater for food but spending a great deal of time on land, possessing a set of neck tendrils and tusks for fighting rivals and impressing mates 2. The basial bodyplan of Qua'talk' s species, evolved on a lightweight world and would greatly struggle to stand on earth, they were the wadding birds of their planet, with beaks designed to pierce water with little resistance and hunt down slimy fish and eel like organisms, but they weren't too picky and would eat just about anything that could fit down their gullet 3. The basial bodyplan of the species both Jul'ka'may and Tal'a'apal decend from, despite how soft and squishy their bodies are, they were no wise to mess with, they could easily restrain prey with the use of their two arms and tail before extending rasping appendages from their throat to rip off chunks of flesh, but they were most of a generalist species that only ate meat when there were no other options or in self defense and not wanting to waste extra calories 4. The characters I've shown differ greatly from their original bodyplan as they are the result of one of the greatest feats of genetic engineering, ever seeing that organisms would two functional brains that functioned mostly independently was possible, they sought to recreate it and over many years mastered the art of creating hydras, entire species that are born with two(or sometimes more, but these were rare) fully functional brains that thought independently of one another 5. Due to their home planet having lesser gravity, it also had a much thinner atmosphere, an atmosphere that sound didn't travel that well through, and so they evolved an alternate form of communication. Chormatiphores on their skin that gave them the ability to make shades of reds, pinks, purples, and even blues appear on their skin. They could still communicate verbally but it only worked at rather close distances 6. When they begin to engineer themselves, they gave themselves another set of manipulary appendages from their neck tendrils, that means that the entire 'upper half' of their body is just neck

A lot of the slugcats have unique things about them! Some have evolved to be semi-aqautic, others have found out how to make explosives-.. at great cost to the structures on top of my facility…

I find it fascinating the relationship we developed with each other, they maintain my facility and in return I let them live in the abandoned city above my can.”

 if you were righting a book and you had to describe a hippo to someone whod never seen a picture even of a hippo before how would you describe it? fat comes to mind, rotund, some mention of its blubber, that would be the first thing id mention probably, its deep red purple coloring is another, how about this:

“Behold, Behemoth, which I made as well as you; He eats grass like an ox. Behold, his strength in his waist, And his power in the muscles of his belly. He hangs his tail like a cedar; The tendons of his thighs are knit together. His bones are tubes of bronze; His limbs are like bars of iron. “He is the first of the ways of God; Let his Maker bring His sword near. Indeed the mountains bring him food, And all the animals of the field play there. He lies down under the lotus plants, In the hiding place of the reeds and the marsh. The lotus plants cover him with shade; The willows of the brook surround him. If a river rages, he is not alarmed; He is confident, though the Jordan rushes to his mouth. Can anyone capture him when he is on watch, Can anyone pierce his nose with barbs?” 

 some of that matches the hippos description, the semi aqautic nature but the rest... look am i being biased here or would this be the literal worst description of a hippo of all time, if someone gave you this description and sent you out hunting for whatever the behemoth was as described here, would you seize a hippo and say “behold, ive captured the behemoth?” does the hippos appearance and countenance lend to such a magnificent description?

So, that was a lie.

Dinos won

First, we have Toriel as a Maiasaur! They’re a hadrosaur species that is known for how well taken care of their young were. Heck, their name even means ‘Mother Lizard’! They are also incredibly intelligent and big! Perfect for for my lady ^^

Flowey’s a King Protea now. They were the oldest flower I could find that wasn’t like. A flowering bush lMAO

Sans and Pap!!! Papyrus is a Dakotaraptor. Swift, agile, fucking massive for a raptor (and an excuse to put googly eyes on a raptor)! Also, while they did hunt in packs, they were rather solitary creatures considering how intimidating they were.

As for Sans, he’s Deinonychus! Anouther speices of raptor, just smaller, more sociable, and less bold. Still incredibly agile and fast tho!! Also the Deino is known for its smile :] (it has 70 teeth).

Also fun fact: These guys are the only ones with non-realistic patterning. Mostly cause (just like in UT) they’re more cartoonish and don’t quite fit into the world like everyone else. The only thing close is Tori’s chest patch!

Undyne’s a spinosaurus because I mean c’mon. Snaggle toothed, semi aqautic, known for being able to sneak up on people despite how huge it is, ruthless but with a soft side…. Kinda perfect. They’re also my favorite dinos haha

Alphys and Mettaton are on the same page to shave down images.

Alphys is a Tarchia, which is a type of Anclyosaur. They’re the most intelligent of the Anclyosaurs, as well as having an armour pattern and hunky body that reminds me of Alph ^^

Mettaton is a Caihoug Juji, bird like dinosaurs that had- get this -iridescent rainbow feathers! They were fancy show-y dinos that are quite possibly the flashiest of all. Also, they had wings on their legs!! (And they were like. Duck sized. Which is really funny to me because everyone else here is the size or SO much bigger than Frisk)

Asgore’s a Parasaurolophus! Similarly to how both skeletons are raptors, all of the Dreamurrs are speices of Hadrosaurs. The Parasaurolophus was a MASSIVE hadrosaur thats well known for its crest. It’s an extension of the sinus cavity and was used to produce cool sounds, usually for mating purposes. Kinda like how goat horns are used for fighting and showing off.

So yea. Dinosaurs.

BONUS:

Chara as an Oviraptor (INCREDIBLY misunderstood Dino. Had the reputation as an egg thief and bastard for a while. Turned out that it was just smart enough to sit on it’s nest. Still a bastard tho) and Asriel as a weird Parasaurolophus and Maiasaur hyprid. (Could MAYBE happen IRL since they’re in the same family group, like horses and donkeys, but probably would be counterintuitive and not fossilized well enough to know)

Whelp. I’m gonna be stuck in a car for (at minimum) the next 5 hours. Now for the difficult decision of whether or not to use the time catching up on some writing I’d like to get done or impulsively drawing the UT cast as dinosaurs

my dad got me a bracelet making kit for my birthday so i made this one last night!

bracelet ID: it has one little gold star at the start/the left side of the bracelet, followed by a dragonfruit charm, ten red beads, ten orange beads, five white beads, a white sea shell, six white letters that spell out the word 'dragon,' another sea shell, five more white beads, ten green beads, ten blue beads, another dragonfruit charm, and two more gold stars at the very end behind a fold clasp. the beads are thin, which is how i fit so many on here.

i used seashells in the kit because i'm a semi aqautic dragon ^^. also i plan on making a gothic bracelet since i'm goth but have literally no gothic styled clothing whatsoever but i'm not sure if i'll share it here

also idk but i hope the seashells are fake or ethically found cause it wouldn't be vegan to wear them otherwise- the brand is called redtwo so if anyone knows about how they obtain their shells please let me know! cause i can't find any info on it or anything.

i wanna be like that sea monster from that one movie where a human (or i guess in my case whatever sapient creature my sp might be) finds me in a lake, tells me everything's gonna be okay and then put me in their bathtub and hope no one else in the house finds me.

then he gives me headpats, feeds me crackers or sumn and i run around the house naked and wet when they leave the bathroom
