🐶 Yunho won't hesitate to go crazy for a bit to make her laugh or smile, it just makes his heart warm when she does

🐶 They both give off dance leader vibes (Heyoon's more stricter as she focuses on multiple details while Yunho assists her)

🐶 Her standing next to him is like Seonghwa standing next to him - plus she wears heels constantly so they look the same height

⛰️ San and Heyoon actually were introduced thanks to Yunho's social puppy energy. Despite San not being the amazing dancer as he is in the present, Heyoon still completed his dancing and offered to teach him. Pretty much, Heyoon was his role model for a bit until he realized that he was in love with his fellow band member

⛰️ Confused with sudden romantic feelings, he spoke to Hongjoong and Seonghwa one night about it. The two oldest males comforted him and asked him a lot of questions, giving him advice and options but mostly importantly, the two men told him that it's up to him and Heyoon. Whatever they choose to do they will happily support them

⛰️ So, after their Answer promotions ended and their world tour was around the corner, San decided to man up and take the girl out one evening. He made sure that they went to places where fans couldn't recognize them and reserved a romantic dinner in a nice hotel. Of course, he told the company beforehand and they made sure that the hotel didn't release any information to the public

⛰️ Thus the man ended up confessing his feelings and to his luck, Heyoon accepted! The girl literally told him she did the same thing as he did --- she freaked out, talked to Hwa and Joong about it and got their advice and told the company that she'll confess soon to him

⛰️ And thus they ended up sleeping together after having some glasses of wine (all consented!!!). The next morning when they woke up, they just smiled happily and kissed before getting up, showering and calling the members to let them know

⛰️ Of course since they're ATEEZ, they threw a huge party in their dorms and celebrated by going out to play games, it was the best 48 hours of their lives

⛰️ ANYWAYS, ship edits! San and Heyoon are constantly looking out for them on any platform and saving them under false account names, even sending them to their families, close friends and members! Even their dancers, staff and company ship them!

⛰️ They were spotted on a date on San's birthday on July 10, 2020 where Allkpop, Koreaboo, Dispatch and other sites had pictures of their date. Thankfully they caught on pretty quickly and kept their distance from each other a bit until they were away from prying eyes

⛰️ On July 12, 2020, KQ released a statement and confirmed that they are dating with San's and Heyoon's own written statements. Most fans were happy about it while the shippers were mad about it, sad that their ships aren't real like they thought (Woosan shippers were the worst so San and Heyoon held a live together and explained everything, even warning the fans to not cross the boundaries between an idol and a fan)

⛰️ The moment went viral everywhere and earned them more fans

⛰️ The shippers backed off but they still posted about their ships. If they crossed a boundary, they were warned and documented in case it gets worse and a court was needed to be held

⛰️ ANYWAY, they're cute as fuck and hot as hell, lots of cute and adorable moments and even some moments where sexual tension could be felt by anyone

SONG MINGI!

🐺 As fans calls it, Heyoon is like his mom

🐺 They're quite a unique ship but they don't have that many on-screen interactions compared to off-screen

🐺 This may be related to the fact that San and Wooyoung are constantly around her (feat Seongjoong being background parents)

🐺 Anyways, Heyoon has a lot of plushies that remind her of Mingi so she always gives him one, in return he does the same (although her's are more bigger and almost the same size as her)

🐺 When they did the health check thing on Wanteez, Heyoon could hear the nurse and Wooyoung telling him to lay down. Thus, the girl got up from her position (she was snuggled into San's side) and went to check what was happening. She was unable to stop him and just gave up, returning to her previous position and sulking like a baby

🐺 She got a lot of kisses and cuddles from San who babied her the entire episode (it went viral on Atiny stan twitter)

JUNG WOOYOUNG!

🦊 The sexy duo ship

🦊 If fans call Wooyoung's laugh a hyena laugh, Heyoon calls it the witch laugh

🦊 Besides Yunho, she's the best at imitating his laugh just out of nowhere (sometimes the members think that it's Wooyoung laughing but instead they find Heyoon imitating him)

🦊 Her, San and him are a inseparable trio that just can't be stopped

🦊 Heyoon and San will kick him out if they feel like they need privacy for themselves (this counts for the dates too). Wooyoung will leave them alone cause he understands that the couple need some time together despite being with each other 24/7

🦊 Heyoon has introduced him to c-dramas and they watch them together anywhere in the dorms or in her and San's apartment

🦊 Wooyoung's mom loves the absolute shit out of Heyoon and has replaced Wooyoung with her, thus Heyoon ended up as Kyunmin's favorite aunt

🦊 Speaking of Kyungmin, she absolutely adores the little boy with her entire heart

Late 2018 till mid 2019 was the most suspicious time for me. There was a period when I genuinely thought taekook are not as close as they were behind the curtains. On one hand we were getting continuous updates of Tae with his other friends (Park Bogum, vacation with wooga) Jungkook was spending more time with jhope, BTS members and jimin in particular (no i never thought jikook was possible, never gave me that vibe) but it made me think if some differences are going on between taekook. Especially when in BV4 jungkook said he only met jimin and jhope in a month holiday. I know partners don't have to be attached at hip but a month without meeting was too much. I was upset so I went back to 2018 timeline where Taekook were more freer. The whole timeline became clear to me.

If you remember 2017 was a separation stage of taekook by Bighit we only got a selca but a lot of scenes were edited but atleast we had so many things to pacify us like dispatch posting about them, their interactions at award shows, them slipping sometimes but 2019 was so weird. Nothing behind the scenes, superficial interactions which can be called fan service or interactions as a band member. Yes they both reacted to each other but everything was so normalised if you look at their interactions with others and it was non-frequent. Especially Jungkook was shown non-approaching on camera when he is told to do so, otherwise with edits.

2019 was an altogether different separation era for me. Especially former months. They hardly had any interactions on concert. Anpanman interaction stopped, DNA interaction stopped. Infact so show me, I show you stopped for a while. I think Brazil we got better interaction and Japan too (no fancams allowed). Dispatch who was notorious in posting about taekook started posting them with other members, that I love you sign which was a sort of secret sign between taekook now became a group sign. Bighit was smart, it gave us taekook moments sporadically and so edited but hyped jikook so much in 2019 that it looked to me like they were trying to tell see they are band members but their bond isn't that great as compared to other members. I think concert moments were restrained due to the fact they wanted to believe even though members were performing fan service it's on the spur moment between members who are close and comfortable to do it. That jikook walk in the concert was directed by Tae himself smh. So people who are smart enough understand fan service moments are directed earlier even taekook ones what brings beauty to them is creativity they add on stage.

I think this agressiveness by the company took a toll on Taehyung. He really wasn't up with things. Their exclusive things were made public, they are not allowed to sit together, have to blantatly lie on camera, all of this was maybe difficult for a free soul like Tae. Jungkook on the other hand was engaged in so many group activities I think there was a disbalance at one point in 2019.

My saving grace was Tae's subtle eye moments in award shows, his body intune with Jungkook, that iconic vlive one anon mentioned and them trying to be near each other at concerts despite constrained interactions. But it was really bad to the point army in general noticed Jungkook's awkwardness in taekook interactions and that is why I think Tae's imagination comment on weverse blew up so much. I'll come to this but I want to touch in the topic why I think this happened.

After 2017 seperation by bighit, it was surprising we got all those cut scenes in the form of bangtan bombs from January 2018. I think two factors were at play- one disbandment talks (taekook relationship was a part at play) the other their contract renewal in May 2018. This was to pacify members especially taekook. Remember when Jungkook kept on telling he wanted to tell us something I am still waiting on that coz it stopped after contract renewal. They became so agressive in floating their ship, after contact renewal, that they butchered taekook moments, focus shifted from hyung line. As RM said, they would have disbanded again if Covid didn't happen.

Coming back to that Tae's comment when #taekookisoverParty trended you can see the shift in their interactions. Taehyung started responding in English so people don't take things out of context and taekook moments started happening again.

You see 2019 was utter load of shit (pardon my language) because of Bighit and their horse's vision. Can you imagine two people who are not sitting together in award shows, not interacting in concerts so much, not meeting behind the scenes according to company are sharing hotel rooms (may 2019), their interactions became so natural, their content has increased, now they are hugging in GDA. If that seperation publicly was not fabricated, I don't know what is true anymore. They had to do that SOOP conversation to not take any blame on themselves.

That's why I don't really like the company and BangPD. Protecting Taekook I understand, protecting the company I also understand but butchering characters of real people to the point people misunderstand them I don't.

I am sorry what started as Suspicious moment turned into a rant. I was with them during this period and it did hurt like hell.

Thank you for sharing your perspective as someone who was around through all of that time!  I was not, so I always find it interesting to hear from people who were.

I especially want to emphasize this part of what you said because it really seems this way to me too:

I feel like the separation itself is obvious if you watch Big Hit content critically and watch non-BH content at all.  I could see maybe believing they were genuinely less close for a few years if there wasn’t so much footage of them being extremely close in non-official content.  I could see maybe buying the ITS conversation if I had been taking it for granted that they were less close.

But after noticing all the discrepancies between official and non-official content, paying attention to all those little details, that narrative -- the one that huge factions of this fandom believe -- simply doesn’t make sense to me.  It doesn’t fit the facts if I look at all of them together.

Personally, though, I have a hard time making blanket statements about the morality of how the situation was handled.  I certainly think that it could have been handled better, and obviously the whole idea of needing to hide because of bigoted social norms is incredibly messed up, but with the exception of physically separating Taehyung and Jungkook from each other with the double standards that they did, it’s just too hard to know who was making which decisions.

As far as the character assassination (which is probably an extreme way of putting it, but hopefully you know what I mean) of Taehyung and Jungkook as a result of all of this, I honestly kind of doubt anyone foresaw the way all of that would play out, and it’s clear that there are always going to be people who hate on the members or have understandings of the members that don’t align with those of other fans.  That’s inevitable.  So even though it’s frustrating that a lot of people dismiss their bond, whether they even care about shipping or any of that side of things, it’s hard to lay the blame for that in any one particular place.

Twitter tl reminded me of a fun accident - in 2019 JK entered the jikook chatroom on fancafe. At night. And when everyone freaked out, he wrote he was drinking alcohol at that moment. JK is a jikooker confirmed :D

Oh man, yes.

Let it never be forgotten that on January 4th, 2019, Jungkook entered a jikook groupchat in fancafe. The gc name was literally “Jungkook-oppa and Jimin-oppa come here”.

And then, he asked them what they were doing before saying that he was drinking alcohol.

Amazing.

This along with him screaming and ending his gc because of Jimin dropping a selca on December 21, 2018 truly made him a legend.

Deadass can’t believe this man really just said “time’s up so you guys can go see Jimin’s selca now!”, and closed the gc right then and there.

going to jeju on january 10th for the samsung new year special is his first time on a plane, so he’s understandably shaken. it’s not so scary with good company, though. small victories are just as important as big ones. 

he worked really hard to perfect their mr chu performance especially, it being his first major chance to show that he’s more than meets the eye and worthy of his place in convex. and whilst he feels really happy with how it went personally and as a group, he doesn’t think it’s really planted the seed he hoped it would. regardless, he isn’t discouraged! he loved performing it and felt really energised by how it went and the welcome they got on stage from fans. 

they also performed mansae as a group and ah yeah as a unit and he felt happy with how they went, too! he strangely felt like he missed dancing in his ah yeah performance because he worried he was a little awkward not having too much to do with his body but watching it back later, he doesn’t think he did too bad given the little choreography filled a lot of the gaps. 

he’s been a little unnerved about the free time they’ve been getting, because he feels like he should always be practising to be better so he doesn’t so obviously fall behind. he thinks jihoon’s ( @jacerk​ ) workaholic tendencies might’ve rubbed off on him a little. 

following romeo’s ( @rkromeo ) leave on january 23rd ( though not publicly confirmed until early february, and not discussed until their vlive channel announcement with their manager on february 6th ), seungcheol spent the rest of the month worried about what it would mean for them as a group both publicly and more importantly, privately.

now, he doesn’t have such fond memories of their unit performance at the samsung new year special, remembering it as the last time they were a team. he doesn’t imagine he’ll have much affection for their first performance as three either, but he doesn’t know when that’ll be just yet. maybe sphere will have mercy and give their wounds time to heal. 

he’s been strikingly inactive online ( especially compared to the other members around the time of the samsung show ), though from his previous activity over the years, it’s not really a surprise that he’s been absent from his instagram. that being said, jihoon posted a few pictures of him from jeju! and he commented on the former, so he isn’t entirely a ghost, he’s just reasonably quiet. he hopes to improve that over the next month or so, but the events with rome have him a little on edge even about a simple selca or thanking for support.

his focus in training in december & january has been live performance skills ( achs live singing, hip hop dance, pts charisma ) ★ 

* RELATIONSHIPS —

after a late night call with his parents just after the turn of the new year, he’s realised how his relationship with his parents became strained as he fell more into working on convex’s debut preparations and then promoting with them. his most important new year’s resolution is to keep in touch with them more regularly and frequently, and he does his best to call them a few times a week, particularly in the almost three weeks following the samsung show. 

that being said, he didn’t tell them about rome ( at least, not until february when the official article dropped ) because he wasn’t sure how much he was allowed to tell them. 

he was really proud of ( and highkey heart eyes at, i’m sorry ) woohyun ( @rkxroyal​ ) for literally every second from the announcement of his duet to about a week after the performance. he’s so happy members are getting the love they deserve!!!! 

* PERSONAL —

as mentioned above, he’s been a little nervous about enjoying their down time, feeling like he has to be working at all times or he’ll fall behind. 

it seems he’s back in ( never left? ) his ‘I’m not worthy of a place in convex’ mindset, though getting given a line in their mr chu distribution that showcased his vocals helped numb these thoughts for most of the first half of this month. 

fortunately, his physical health is in good shape given how much and how hard they’re all working. 

he hasn’t talked to anyone yet about his feelings regarding rome’s departure and he doesn’t really want to, so he’ll probably bottle it up. he feels like there’s a lot of unanswered questions so far and he doesn’t know what’s going to happen when it all goes public. he’s basically just overall a big bunch of nerves and uncertainties because his mind tends to wander to worst case scenarios when he doesn’t know the full picture. 

still, he’s sure there’s a logical explanation for everything, so he’s trying to be patient until everything is explained and things feel more organised. who’s going to be their unit leader now???

1st — new year’s day ; called his parents, celebrated the turn of the new year with convex as a group. 

10th — leave for jeju ; first time flying, really nervous but would’ve been a lot worse without convex. 

12th — samsung new year special ; performed three songs with convex, really happy with how it went overall. 

13th — fly home to seoul ; second time flying, still nervous but still would’ve been worse without convex. 

23rd — rome leaves convex ; confused, scared, on edge. hopes they get some answers soon.

2019:02:14 -- after reuniting with RKLISA in december and hanging out with her through parts of january and february, suwoong found himself catching feelings again.  on valentine’s day, he took her to a cafe they frequented back when they used to date in high school, and it was here that he asked if she wanted to try again.  now they’re back together, and so far, it’s been good.

2019:02:MID -- at a social function for the richer parts of seoul, suwoong found out that his cousin, RKKYUNGSOO, also received a jade dragon pendant from their grandfather.  the discovery was a bit disappointing, since suwoong used to pride himself in being the “cherished grandson.”

2019:02:21 -- he thought about sending RKYNGSUN a bouquet of flowers for her birthday  ( which he actually remembered this year! ),  but decided against it, since he didn’t want to give the wrong impression.  he sent her a bucket of kfc fried chicken instead.

2019:02:END -- suwoong’s been feeling a bit strange ever since he found out that RKKYG’s dating someone.  hearing that yugyeom got cast in the kt commercial didn’t help much either.  they’re not talking as much as they were before, though it’s mostly on suwoong’s end;  he’s been growing distant  ( and has tragically stopped sending memes to yugyeom ).

2019:02:END -- he has imprinted on RKKYUNGSOO’s roomba, which he lovingly named “little dodo,” and also kyungsoo’s cat, which he nicknames “mcnugget.”

LIFE EVENTS  ↴ 

2019:02:END -- at his mother’s suggestion  ( after suwoong complained to her about RKKYUNGSOO leaving him at the social without a ride ), suwoong started to take driving lessons from kyungsoo, an offer made by kyungsoo’s mother.  unfortunately, during his first session, he bumped into JISUNRK while backing up.  jisun is okay, and it’s honestly all thanks to kyungsoo that suwoong’s not getting sued.  still, suwoong feels really bad and will start taking her out for dinner / sending her random gifts in high hopes that she’ll keep her mouth shut about the incident.

2019:02:END -- the ambassador’s cup for go, a qualifier for the esteemed prime minister’s cup, will take place mid-may.  he studies underneath his father, and now visits his parents’ place twice a week in preparation for the tournament.  he hasn’t been performing as well, though, since he’s been distracted by his relationship with RKLISA and the car boink with JISUNRK.
