🎉Wishing everyone only the best in 2017! Noah's 2017 is going to be the best year ever especially getting his service dog soon!💙We can't wait to receive the news which cute dog is his. Every year has some downfalls with Noah's Epilepsy, Mitochondrial disease & his Systemic Mastocytosis. But we always talk about only the good things & God truly blessed him this past 2016! 🙏🏻 Some blessings that; 1: Noah's Service Dog goal was met in May! 🐶 2: Noah's Chest Port was removed in August! 3: His doctor gave us the great news & we said Goodby to IV treatments at home! (For 3 & half years Noah needed daily IV treatments & meds at home & he had 4 Picc Lines before he got his Port which he had for 2 years.) ❤️ 4: Noah got his MicKey Feeding Tube! (This is a blessing because this allowed us to stop IV treatments & with his new GTube treatments we have been able to keep his Mitochondrial disease more stable) 5: Noah had a full year of NO hospital admissions or ER visits aside from 2 out patient procedures. (this is HUGE since years before he was admitted a lot & had a lot of ER visits.) 6: We met some new friends that battle Epilepsy & Mitochondrial disease! 💙This is sweet Eve from @littleangelsservicedogs Yesterday she had a training day at Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland. She sure made many visitors smile including Noah. What a great night. Our first gangsta selfie. Lena finally old enough to experience the traditional "2am late night community golf course break in's with the Border Collies to chase ducks and bring home dinner for the next day..." Thursdays. Koda and Dot were not lucky this night, but we did manage to slip the local geriatric night watch. Lena is a natural, btw, at losing the Po Po. Jennifer is so proud. (*All greens are always avoided and local wildlife never is harmed except for ducks baby ducklings kitty cat frogs tadpoles lizards fish alligator and the occasional homeless addict living in the sewer on the 13th tee. Life-Saving Seizure Alert & Assistance Service Dog for Noah!

100% of your donation will go towards Noah’s fundraiser for his Seizure Alert & Assistance Dog. And it will mean a lot to us & help Noah out in an amazing way.

Noah is six years old & is diagnosed with three health conditions; Epilepsy, Systemic Mastocytosis & Mitochondrial Disease.

Noah’s Seizure Alert & Assistance dog trained by Little Angels will be able to; 1. Alert my husband & I when Noah is about to have a seizure 2. Stabilize Noah when he is sitting & having a seizure so he doesn’t fall or is in a safe place (like not in the bath or pool) 3. Be able to dial a specially designed assistance dog telephone that will notify emergency personnel 4. Comfort Noah after a seizure with Deep Pressure Therapy 5. Help stabilize Noah when he is standing, walking or transferring to or from his wheelchair due to his muscle issues 6. And retrieve a dog vest that contains Noah’s emergency medications for his epilepsy & for his systemic mastocytosis. 7. His dog will also give Noah more independence, be his “best friend.”

Noah’s Epilepsy is labeled as uncontrolled by his doctors because we have tried all the Epilepsy medications & they aren’t controlling his seizures. They are helping but he still has daily seizures.

Noah’s seizures greatly interfere with his life. Since there is no warning when a seizure is going to occur Noah has got hurt at times & one time could have been serious if I wasn’t by his side. Noah was sitting in the shallow end of a pool when his seizure occurred & he fell backwards & was under the water. Thankfully I was in hands reach & lifted him out fast. There have also been other times Noah has fell from a seizure & banged his head pretty bad.

We have been told by his neurologist that Noah has a high risk of Sudden Unexpected Death with Epilepsy due to his nighttime seizures he has along with his daytime ones.

***** Little Angeles Service Dogs in San Diego will train Noah’s service dog. They train their seizure alert dogs to alert to a seizure up to 3 to 5 minutes before a seizure occurs. This is very important to Noah & us because we can make sure Noah is safe before he has a seizure but also we can give Noah is emergency epilepsy medication that we have to give to Noah fast to stop his back-to-back seizures. 

Little Angeles Service Dogs raise their service dogs since they are born & they train their dogs in amazing ways. Also Noah’s dog will be three years old which is very important because his dog will have received three full years of daily training & interacting & sleeping in the trainer’s home.

Noah’s health battles really take a toll on him & he battles with them daily. They affect his walking, his energy level, his health, & more which all affect his independence. Noah has a Chest Port & receives weekly IV treatments through it. Noah also has a Mic-Key GTube & receives his special formula though it.

Noah is a strong 6-year-old boy who never gives up, has a huge heart & the best personality. Noah loves astronomy & his dream is to work for NASA one day.

Noah was approved with Little Angeles Service Dogs a few years ago. My husband & I hate to ask for help since we know so many are struggling. Every month we have given a monthly donation ourselves towards his service dog’s goal but we honestly have a very tight budget with all of Noah’s daily medications, treatments & past & current medical bills so it has been a small amount. We have really tried to raise the funds by doing small fundraising. But it has been hard due to Noah’s health struggles & only Noah only being able to handle a short outing once a week. Noah also had a rough time the last few years after he was approved for the dog & sadly Noah was basically admitted almost every month. Which made it even harder to have fundraising events.  

Noah can’t wait any longer for his Life-Saving Seizure Alert & Assistance Service Dog. My husband & myself are reaching out to spread his fundraiser with huge hope he won’t have to wait any longer.
