Their paths just kind of cross sometimes. It’s always nice to see people from her own world, and she’s beginning to warm up to Ragna, too. Maybe she can kinda see what Tsubaki sees in him. Kinda.

While the snow-covered boardwalk means it’s probably a little too cold for carnival rides, there’s still plenty of opportunities for ice-covered fun. The kind of thing that Mai would’ve slipped while doing, thus flashing everyone in the vicinity. Good times. Makoto was surprised to find Ragna near one of the ice-skating rinks, so she slides up to him, that familiar grin on her face.

“Heya Rags! Didn’t really have you pegged as a winter wonderland kinda guy, but I guess you’re fulla surprises,” she says, leaning on the railing next to him. “You see that obstacle course they got set up over there? I’m no figure skater, but I think it looks like fun. Nothin’ like an opportunity to flex on folks a little, right?”

But a thought creeps into her head, one that she can’t keep from spilling out. Even if she’s trying to be nicer to Ragna, she can’t just not tease him sometimes.

“Or... are you an ice skating novice?” she says, leaning in. “No shame in it, lots of people end up eating shit the first couple of times they try it. It’s harder than it looks!”
