We talk about hand-eye coordination, but in Sawamura and Miyuki’s case, it’s their eyes that bring about that coordination. Always speaking volumes with just one look, coordinating their calls/pitches to bring about those perfect strikes! 

I really do love these moments where Sawamura shines as a pitcher. Especially when the opponents, and sometimes even the crowd, underestimate him. And when he does pitch - they are never prepared for what the encounter. Satisfying moments indeed!

And as a bonus, we get to see Sawamura looking like a badass while he’s in the zone:

Top Manga/Manhwa I Read (2021)

These manga helped me get through 2021. I hope you all consider reading them in the future 🥰

1.) Blue Flag 💙

My favorite part of this manga was seeing the story through Touma’s eyes. Like we didn’t get his thoughts and I thought that was amazing.

I still feel like Blue Flag needed like 3-4 more chapters, but overall it was great.

I loved seeing how much holding Taichi’s hand meant to Touma <3 (which I will still write about! It’s in my drafts lol)

2.) Blue Period

Blue Period really resonated with me. Like writing and art are completely different mediums, but the creative process...the doubt...the anxiety...the joy...all of it is still the same. Blue Period did a amazing job of showcasing all of that. Seeing Yatora continuously work hard on his art made me want to work hard as well. I related to his character a lot. I have also cried during the creative process because I got harsh criticism or because I was frustrated. 🥲

Blue Period is a story I definitely needed and I can’t wait to see what happens to Yatora and his friends next!

3.) Diamond no Ace Act II

Diamond no Ace is my comfort series and reading the manga was a nice reprieve from my school work. 🥰 The Seidou vs Sankou game was intense! 😱 But seeing Sawamura power through and get the recognition he deserves was amazing, and I loved every second of it. I’m glad the third years came back to see the game.

I hope by this time next year, the Seidou vs Inashiro game has concluded and Seidou has gone to Koshien! I’m not ready to say goodbye to the current third years :’)

4.) Cheese in the Trap

I saw the creator of My Deepest Secret post about this on their Instagram, so I thought I would check it out! I fast passed almost every day since July and just finished it a few days ago.

It was a lot better than I thought! It wasn’t just a typical romance love triangle story. Every character had depth and the character development was amazing as well. I highly recommend checking out this series on Webtoon!

Season 3 was hard to get through because Younggon and Minsoo were unbearable. But knocking out two of the story’s antagonists in one season was a smart move.

I have a lot of love for Inho Baek ❤❤

5.) Waiting For Spring

I finally finished Waiting for Spring! It’s another one of my favorite shoujo mangas. I thought the art and character designs were beautiful! The story was pretty enjoyable too, and I’m glad it didn’t drag on for a long time.

6.) A Good Day To Be a Dog

This was another series I fast passed on Webtoon around early spring. Before I went to class, I would read a couple of chapters.

At first, I didn’t like it, but I decided to keep reading it because I wanted to know how Hana would handle turning into a dog. I’m glad I stuck with it because I really enjoyed this story! Lee Hey is a fantastic story teller and artist.

Well, that’s it for now! Hopefully, I can read more manga next year!!

hi cat ive just finished daiya's first season T^T i just couldnt stop. watching the inashiro vs seidou game is literally not good for my heart DJGMGMSLCLCM (like literally) i kind of expected seidou's loss but im still so big sad that they lost 😭😭😭 the 3rd yrs are finally retiring im gona miss them so much and the coaCH OMG i hope he wont actually resign 😳 i dont have a good feeling abt the assistant coach aagghhh also after eijun's hit by pitch ;;; my heart has been in pain seeing him so down and hurt T_T butttt he's picking himself up!!!! i cant wait to see his full comeback soon !!! and on another note im so in awe of the osts,,, very good stuff (also the ops & eds) 😌👌 aaanndd lastly thank you for hearing me rant lol asfhgkgllm

ahh daiya really takes things the realistic route and they fail a lot and get injuries 😭 I miss the 3rd years always... thankfully now in act II they are often watching from the bleachers and commenting so we still see them from time to time!!

that dead ball with haunt eijun for some time... it's a difficult part for any fan to remember but he will come out of it stronger 😭 and coach ochiai is just there to stand on the side and judge ahahaha, he’ll try to make a some mess

the ops and eds always make me emotional, my favourite has always been hashire mirai, I think it was an op in season 1 :')

joann im donee watching the 1st season of daiya 😤 and oh how i am so in p a i n ....... it's so good omg T_T i've never felt this intense watching sports anime. my heart was all over the place esp during seidou vs inashiro like damnnnnn we're 1 out away.... praying for eijun's full recovery,,,, baby boy 😭🙏 also that last game against the 3rd years!!!!!! what a game, really,,,, aaaaaa cant wait to start the next season 🤩

they do such a good job of like depicting the baseball games (i knew nothing about baseball until watching this, mind you) but wow yes so much happening!!!!!!!!!!! :( eijun and i’m secondhand missing the third years again through you!!!!

Work has been exhausting and I haven't had the time to read Diamond no Ace in a few months 😭 So I'm going to take my last week of Christmas break to catch up because I am so excited for the Seidou vs Inashiro game 😌

Diamond no Ace is actually my comfort series, so rewatching episodes, reading the manga or listening to the soundtrack instantly makes me feel better, and I definitely need that after the last few weeks 🥲
