Seems like she intended to send them to a friend of hers (the 80s pop singer Marilyn, who supports her on Twitter/X), and her people screwed it up and sent the flowers to Manson instead. The intended recipient talked about it on Twitter Space, which unfortunately doesn't seem to have been archived. Info here

I was reading the comments of a post about that Gaiman article, and it's amazing what people believe about JK Rowling. Accusations include that she:

was part of the smear campaign against Amber Heard

sent flowers to Marilyn Manson

is glad that these women were raped bc now Gaiman's association with TRAs besmirches the movement

has said she wants trans women to be raped and murdered

is probably hiding her own equally bad behavior and maybe is abusive or a rapist herself

is worse than Gaiman bc her childhood was less traumatizing and she has no "excuse"

And you know, the revolting misogyny aside...do these people not bother to fact-check? Do they just blindly believe whatever they read if it fits their agenda? Typing this makes me realize that of course they do. Can't believe people are so willfully stupid.
