#seeing a lot of mistreatment towards non-sharers so I’m giving them this post

Some selfshippers are non-sharing because selfshipping is an outlet for feeling like they are chosen out of anyone else and are utterly adored above all by their F/O(s).

Many selfshippers are emotionally and physically isolated, have low self-esteem and confidence, have relationship hang ups, mental health issues and many other things, and they selfship for comfort. And that is so beautiful and an absolutely healthy and acceptable coping mechanism.

And unless a non-sharer is specifically invading a double’s personal space to invalidate their feelings and ship? Or encouraging others to mistreat doubles on their behalf? They are fully allowed to denounce all other ships with their F/O(s) and refer to themselves as their one true love.

They’re allowed to hate that doubles break that sense of immersion and feel insecure and jealous. They’re allowed to express that on THEIR pages. They’re allowed to call them dupes, they can say that they’re jealous as long as they’re not singling out anyone by name. It’s everybody’s responsibility to block whatever they don’t like to see and simply mind their business.

If one feels uncomfortable because somebody affirms and comforts themselves by calling themselves their F/O’s only partner, then they can lend some empathy and compassion and imagine how they must feel in turn. Selfshipping is inherently self indulgent and hence selfish! Let people do what works for them as long as they’re not forcing it onto others.
