I am genuinely not surprised Chucky was cancelled.

First off syfy and usa are not commonly watched networks by a lot of people which is why shows on their channels are frequently cancelled. Nobody watches them.

Secondly a horror franchise based tv series is going to attract a super niche audience. A random person isn’t going to tune in and know what the fuck is even happening. The show’s very existence by nature depended on a pre existing audience and fandom for the movies, all of them. Most people only saw Child’s Play or Bride or Seed.

The bigger issue here is the show was fucking shit. Not even fun shit. Just shit. Horror doesn’t have to be fucking amazing but that’s movies.

Are the Terrifier movies amazing in terms of writing or acting? No. God no. Is Beetlejuice 2 perfect? Nooo.

Here’s the thing though….they are movies. A movie ends after an hour or two. Asking a person to sit through three fucking seasons of a messy fuck fest that only decreases in quality with every single episode is literally fucking torture to your audience. Never ending torture. And the last season was pure fucking torture with like a handful of minutes I loved that then ended and resumed shit I hate.

Making a serial killer crave world domination was the dumbest fucking concept. Trying to make Tiffany a girlboss icon who then rapes and removes the limbs of a woman was fucking stupid.

The show was stupid
