at what point in the story are any of the companions even necessary except to yap in a gossip circle or die for shock value during the suicide mission. they feel so empty. take them away from the game and nothing would feel different

#every day it is brought to my attention how incompetent the team for this game was #how are you going to steal me2's whole schtick #and then...not even do it right #see. what made me2 work was the fact that almost every companion had equal skill and competency #sniper. biotic. assassin. scientist. munitions expert.#they all FIT. in dragon age you get...fade expert. artifact expert. assassin. detective. dragon hunter. harding.#where do they fit. what on earth is a dragon hunter for when uh. newsflash. the archdemons are part of the evanuris.#if you find the evanuris...youre gonna find the dragon.#a detective to track down solas. she is useful for all but maybe 30 minutes and then after that. what does she do #bellara has the archive...but what does that have to do with anything. how is it helpful in the last fight #YOU USED YOUR COMPANIONS TO UPGRADE THE NORMANDY. THEY DONT EVEN GIVE US A FORT TO UPGRADE OR ANYTHING.#SEE NOW IM GETTING MAD.
