How Will My Life Change If I Move Into A Retirement Village?
Living in one of the best Retirement villages in Cranbourne Area provides lots of health benefits. Research specks that being social and connected are good for your health and make you happier.
In fact, decades of research on the subject have proved that people who have more social connections not only live longer but also exhibit greater resistance to infectious disease and have a higher probability of successfully battling illness.
Let's discuss how your life will change if you move into a retirement village.
The Privacy Of A Retirement Village
Modern Retirement villages Cranbourne Area are designed as a community within the community.
Retirement community homes are usually built with privacy in mind. A place where you can enjoy quiet time without worrying about a nosy (or noisy!) neighbour over the back fence should be your home.
Because residents feel bound by the village rules, external noise levels in retirement villages are maintained to a minimum, while they are impossible to control in a typical suburban street.
A great retirement community should give you the freedom to be private at home while also providing various opportunities for social interaction when you want to.
Safety And Security
Retirement villages provide you with a safe, secure environment – 24 hours a day, every day. You will feel comfortable when you take your dog for a walk, visit your neighbours, or come home after a night out.
Houses in retirement villages may feature security screens and sensor lights at the entrance and throughout and deadlocks on doors.
Modern retirement villages have strict security measures in place, such as on-site managers, security staff and security cameras.
Low Maintenance Living
One of the main attractions of modern retirement villages is the low-maintenance lifestyle.
In resort-style villages, you can take the perks of the beautiful, landscaped gardens, BBQ areas, swimming pools, walking paths and other areas without ever having to think about maintenance.
The professionals on-site or available on-call handle all the demanding work. You'll have more time to relax or enjoy yourself as an outcome!
Types of situations apply to your house because the village management team can handle a lot of the repairs and upkeep for you. You get a job done well by trusted tradespeople without all the hassle.
Peace-Of-Mind
Peace of mind is difficult to measure, yet easy to feel when it's there. In a retirement village, it boils down to living in a safe, secure environment while being close to people you like and trust.
Village rules are also in place to help give you peace of mind. The rules should have the best interests of everyone in the community in mind. They should provide reassurance without being too unreasonable.
Conclusion
A retirement community is designed so active retirees can live full, fun, and friend-filled life in a beautiful resort-style environment.
If you'd like to learn more about retirement village life, visit yourself and check out why people choose Retirement Living life.

TYPES OF STINKY CAR SMELLS AND HOW TO REMOVEÂ THESE
In one of the previous articles, we discussed how to remove cigarette smell from the car. We received an overwhelming response from our readers and customers. Many of them reached out to us to ask how to remove other familiar smells. Keeping this in mind, we have decided to have another discussion on eliminating odour from the vehicle’s inside. Unlike before, the blog post is not confined to cigarette smell alone.
COMMON SMELLS IN A VEHICLE
Apart from cigarettes, numerous other smells are commonly found inside vehicles. They are discussed below.
Food
If you have a habit of regularly eating inside your car, it becomes evident sooner or later. How? While eating, one can easily spill food particles on the seats, flooring, and other areas. Over time, they start to give a foul smell.
Air Freshener
Imagine that you brought a new air freshener. As soon as you sprayed it, the whole family started feeling nauseous as they do not like the smell. Now, will you ask them to get out of the car or remove the odour? The latter option seems the most plausible.
Car Sickness
If you have kids or pets riding with you, they can get car sickness. As a result, they might vomit. Now, vomit smell is the last thing anyone would want in their car. But the reality is that many children or even pets do vomit in the car.
Mildew
Consider that you left the window open while it was raining. As a result, you have a soaked seat or flooring. That’s not the worst thing. How? When the inside of a car gets wet, it gives off a very pungent smell which needs to be fixed right away.
REMOVING THESE SMELLS
Well, whatever the smell, there are numerous ways to remove it. They are discussed below.
Open Windows & Doors
Undoubtedly, the easiest and quickest way to get rid of any smell is by opening the windows and doors. Once fresh breeze finds its way to the inside of the car, the smell will be gone right away. However, make sure that you do it in a secure place. Open windows and doors are an invitation to thieves and other criminal elements. Any Car Towing does not take any responsibility for damages incurred as a result of this method.
Vacuum
There are three types of vacuum cleaners: dry, wet, and one which offers both functions. If the smell is mildew, you can use a wet vacuum cleaner to dry out the car. Afterwards, you can open the windows and doors to get rid of the remaining smell.
HOW TO REMOVE VOMIT SMELL?
Using our powers of foresightedness, we know that many people will ask us about removing vomit smell. It is why we are going to discuss the issue here. Get vinegar, water, and a bowl. Now, mix one-part water and vinegar in the bowl. Apply the solution to the affected area and start scrubbing. You might have to repeat the process a few times for the best results.

Misfortune's Intentions
(Liam x oc*Elisse Millan) (Drake x Riley) in a Choices The Royal Heir fan fiction
A/N It is the day after Riley and Drake told Liam that they didn’t want their child to be next in line to the throne. I will also be delving a bit into Book 3 of TRR’s reveal of who would inheirt the throne after Liam. I’m surprised that this hasn’t been brought up again in The Royal Heir books. This chapter will focus on whether or not Elisse should remain not only in Cordonia, but also with Liam.

Chapter 5 Possibilities
The Royal Gardens, Cordonia...
The occasional sound of thunder rumbling set the tone for the day's surprise news conference.
With Drake and Riley standing behind him, Liam announced that their child was no longer next in line for the throne.
Questions were followed by flashes of cameras at the trio.
"Who will you choose now?"
"Your grace, what made you decide to withdraw your child's claim?"
"Does this have anything to do with King Liam's relationship with Lady Millan?"
Liam held his hand up for silence.
"This decision is a personal one for the Duke and Duchess of Cordonia. I respect their choice and will work towards settling everyone's mind at ease toward the security of the throne." With that, he returned to the palace, leaving Riley and Drake to finish up the press conference.
****************
Cranbourne Manor, Cordonia...
"Elisse." Amalas shook her cousin's shoulder. "Wake up. You need to see this."
Elisss sat up with a start. "What's wrong?"
She blinked away her sleep as Amalas turned the news on.
"King Liam was flanked by the Duke and Duchess of Valtoria as he announced that they would no longer be providing Cordonia with a much needed heir. The trio were tight lipped about what had changed their mind. Analysts suspect the events between Duchess Riley and King Bradshaw of Auvernal led to this decision."
A clip then was shown of Liam speaking before a crowd of reporters.
"Well, at least you two are good." Amalas turned the television off. "I think I will try and meet with Liam before I go home. He needs to know I still want an alliance."
Elisse was unnaturally still as she stared at the now black screen.
"I want you to stay here as an ambassador of sorts to help further Corodnia and Monterisso's relationship." Amalas prattled on as she searched Elisse's closet. "And to enjoy time with Liam."
She noticed the silence and peeked out at Elisse. "What's wrong?"
"I--you need to find someone else to stay here." She got out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. Shutting the door so Amalas couldn't follow her, she raised her voice to be heard. "I should return to Monterisso."
"Why?" Amalas stood before the closed door. "I can send you whatever you need from home. We brought most of your clothes with us. I'll make sure your estate is cared for and--"
"I'm not going home to pack. I'm going home to stay."
"What are you talking about?" Amalas demanded.
She turned the doorknob then ordered Elisse to unlock it.
An irritated groan could be heard as the door opened.
"I'm going home with you today." Elisse repeated.
"Why?"
"Because," she hedged. "It's the right thing to do."
"Right thing? For whom? Our country needs you to stay here. I need you to further our trade agreements. Liam needs you--"
"Anyone else can do this." Elisse snapped. "And I am the last thing Liam needs right now!"
"Why do you think that?" Amalas narrowed her eyes. "Is this over this heir debacle?"
"Of course it is!" Elisse shouted. "Liam is back to where he was when Riley refused his marriage proposal. He needs to marry and produce an heir as quickly as he can before more unrest strikes Cordonia. Any political analyst would say that is the only step he can possibly make."
"Then you should definitely remain here." Amalas argued.
"Why? So I can be another source of guilt for him? He will need to marry someone else...someone who can have children." Tears filled her eyes. "Liam deserves to have a family that will continue the work he does for Cordonia."
"Elisse." Amalas pinched the bridge of her nose. She took a few deep breaths before speaking again. "You have to let this mindset go. You can't let this one issue keep you from ever enjoying what life gives you." She sighed. "The two of you are clearly in love and--"
"That's why I have to leave." Elisse sat down on the bathroom floor, unable to stand the heartache growing stronger. "He hasn't made any declarations yet and if he did...I don't think I would be able to leave him." Her eyes lifted to her cousin's when she sat down across from her. "Liam is the best man I have ever known. The most generous--he--you know he would marry me out of duty if he had a chance to say he loved me. He would do that even with the knowledge that it would be a mistake."
"It wouldn't be a mistake." Amalas said softly. "Liam is not a fool. He--"
"I know." Elisse ignored the tears that trickled down her cheeks. "But I can't be the one to keep him from having children. To see him missing out on that--"
"Stop." Amalas held her hand up. "You have yet to talk to him about this. You're jumping from one wild conclusion to the next."
"I'm not." Elisse accepted the box of tissues that were handed to her. "Amalas, I don't think I could take hearing him say that we can't be together anymore."
"So you're just going to run away? Even though he has not done nor said anything remotely like that?"
"You know it will happen. His advisors will look at this decision as a chance to guide him back toward marriage with a proper, fertile noble."
"I don't know that." Amalas stubbornly refused to accept it. "Now get dressed. We are due at the palace in an hour."
"I'm not going." Elisse glared at her.
"Yes, you are." Amalas snapped. "You are going to go with me as a Viscountess of Monterisso to cement our relationship with the ruler and people of Cordonia." She pointed at her. "Whether or not you will stay is up to you."
She slammed the bathroom door shut. Her hardened features softened to one of heartache as she heard Elisse's muffled sobs.
"What am I to do?" Amalas whispered to herself.
*****************
The Royal Palace, Corodnia...
"Her majesty, Queen Amalas of Monterisso and Viscontess Elisse Millan." A servant announced.
Liam rose from behind his desk to greet them warmly.
His happiness at seeing the one he cared for dimmed when Elisse kept her eyes cast down. No smile was returned. No words passed her lips.
Amalas glanced from one to the other. "I wanted to stop by on my way to the airport."
"You heard the press conference?"
"We did. Though that potential alliance is no more, I still wanted to formally state my willingness to keeping the promises we both have made for our countries."
"Thank you." He bowed his head. "I have no intention of letting our relationship change over Lady Riley's decision."
"Good." Amalas shook his hand. "Now then. I have decided to leave Elisse here as a liaison of sorts for Monterisso. With the proposed measures we have discussed, I think having her on hand during any transitions would--"
"I refuse." Elisse interrupted.
Amalas bit her tongue to keep from snapping at her. "As I was saying, I think she will--"
"Not be here." Elisse forced herself to look up at Liam's shocked face. "I'm going back to Monterisso."
"Elisse." Amalas hissed. "We discussed this earlier. You will--"
"I won't." She curtsied to them both. "Forgive me, but I am not the right person for this position." She spun on her heel and quickly left.
"Elisse!" Liam paused on the way to chase after her when Amalas placed a hand on his arm.
"She thinks you need to find someone to marry and have an heir with." She quickly explained.
Understanding dawned in his eyes. With a brisk nod, he hurried out.
***************
Elisse ran blindly through a side door of the palace, hoping Liam wouldn't find her. She tried to gage where she was through her tears and noticed the apple orchard a little ways in the distance.
Fearing someone would see her, she stumbled in that direction to find another way off the palace grounds.
The further she got from the palace, the louder her cries became. Her breath hitched as images of her time spent with Liam flittered through her mind. All her daydreams of a life with him crumbled with the knowledge that she would be wrong to remain with him.
Tripping over her own feet, she fell to her knees.
"Are you hurt?"
Elisse's head jerked up in surprise.
Olivia stood before her, brow deeply furrowed as she studied her.
"No." Elisse managed to say. "Thank you."
"Then why aren't you getting up?"
"I don't know."
Olivia rolled her eyes as she sat down across from her. "If you aren't hurt, then why are you crying?"
Elisse wiped her tears with the back of her hands. "I'm leaving Cordonia."
"You are?" Olivia leaned forward.
"Yes."
"Are you being forced to?"
"No."
Olivia huffed in irritation. "Elisse, why are you crying?"
"Liam." She mumbled.
"What about him?"
"He...I can't..."
"Can't have children." Olivia finished for her.
Elisse's face became even more heartbroken. "He told you? I thought--he knew how much it--I can't believe he would--"
"Liam told me nothing." Olivia corrected. "I investigated you."
Elisse blinked in surprise. "Oh."
"You don't seem upset about that."
"Why should I be?" Elisse asked. "It is what I would do if some stranger came into my country and became close to our ruler."
Olivia nodded, pleased to see that she understood. "You would be surprised how many get offended over that."
Elisse snorted. "Then they clearly don't understand how quickly an outsider can harm a country."
"Exactly." Olivia replied, admiration growing for Liam's new love. "One should always be prepared."
"That's what Amalas and I always say." Elisse's lips curved into a slight smile. "Who wants to have a meeting with someone and not try and have the upper hand from the beginning?"
"I can see why Liam thinks so highly of you." Olivia tilted her head to the side. "Which, it has been obvious to everyone that you return his admiration and affection. So the obvious question is this:Â why are you leaving?"
"I heard about, " Elisse's nose wrinkled in disgust, "Lady Riley's decision."
"Ah." Olivia now understood. "So you think to save Liam added problems by leaving and allowing him a chance to choose a queen."
"One that can give him all the heirs he needs." Elisse added a touch bitterly. Her dark eyes lifted to Olivia's green. "You know it is the right thing to do."
"I do." The duchess admitted. "But, surely there is a way where you can--"
"If you investigated me, then you know there is little hope. Dr. Ramsey and Dr. Tanaka did all they could to fix my uterus and ovary."
"And?" Olivia prodded.
"And though the tumors have been removed, and even if I tried in vitro, my uterus is most likely not strong enough to carry a baby full term."
"I see." Olivia sat back in contemplation. "When do you go back for another checkup?"
"Next month."
"Then I'm going with you." Olivia decided.
"Pardon?" Elisse's eye brows drew together. "Why would you--"
"I have questions about what I read in Dr. Ramsey's report." Olivia explained. "I'm sure Liam will have his own too."
"Liam? But I'm going to end things between us."
"Why would you do that?" Olivia huffed at Elisse's inability to keep up. "Liam hasn't been this happy in years. You would leave him without allowing him to make up his own mind about what he needs in his queen?"
"You know how kind he is." Elisse narrowed her eyes. "You, yourself, understood my reasons for leaving!"
"Just because I understand, doesn't mean that I approve." Olivia argued. "Especially in not giving him an opportunity to discuss this fully."
Elisse dropped her head in her hands. "You know he will be understanding."
Olivia stood up and dusted her backside. "You are doing a disservice to both of you by refusing to talk to him." She held her hand toward Elisse. "Surely you can get through one conversation before deciding both your futures."
Elisse took a deep breath, knowing the duchess was right. She reached out and clasped the helping hand.
"You're right." She squeezed her hand in gratitude. "Thank you for listening to me."
Olivia returned the squeeze. "No need to thank me. Now go talk to Liam."
She watched the viscountess make her way back to the palace while contemplating what she could do to possibly help them.
****************
Near the hedge maze...
“There you are!” Liam jogged over to Elisse. “I’ve been searing everywhere for you.”
He took her into his arms, hugging her close.
She allowed him to comfort her a few more moments before pulling away.
“We need to talk.”
Liam stilled. "I know what you are going to say, Elisse, and the answer is, no."
"But you won't actively search for a queen while I am around!" Elisse didn’t bother to disguise the bitterness she felt. "I am the last person you should be with."
"I disagree."
"Liam, your child should be the one to inherit Cordonia. Not some random noble's." She argued. "I can't be the reason your throne is in jeopardy."
"It isn't." He argued. "Olivia is next in line through her ancestors. If I never have a child, she and her children will keep it secure."
"Then why did you rush to name Riley and Drake's child as your heir?" She asked.
A deep, frustrated sigh escaped his lips. "Because Olivia asked me to choose another."
"Why?"
"Her parents' treachery has somehow convinced Olivia that her name and blood is tainted." He explained, pulling Elisse slowly back within his arms. "No matter how often I point out that she herself is considered a hero in the eyes of the people of Cordonia, she still allows the past to haunt and guide her decisions."
His clear blue eyes gentled as he realized that Elisse was doing the very same thing. Her body's betrayal in terms of reproduction was going to keep her from allowing herself a chance at happiness with him.
He couldn't let that happen. After the past few years of pining for what he couldn't have, Liam had finally found someone he could truly be with. No pressure from outside influences. No interference. Nothing except a chance to enjoy the time they spent together.
The deep, breath catching sadness he saw coming to the surface was something he didn't want to see in her face. Ever.
"I need you to stay in Cordonia."
She closed her eyes briefly at the desperation he allowed her to hear tinging his voice.
"I need you to be with me, Elisse." Liam rested his forehead against hers. "I'm in love with you."
Tears slipped, unheeded, down her cheeks.
He waited patiently for her to say what he needed to hear most. He didn't doubt for a moment that she felt the same way. Each touch, glance, and words pointed to her caring just as much as he did.
She struggled with the inevitable. Elisse believed she should lie and say she felt nothing. Then perhaps he could find someone who could give him everything he deserved.
I have nothing to offer, she thought.
She lifted her eyes to his and knew she couldn’t hurt him like that.
"I love you too." She admitted. "So very much."
Liam's smile touched her heart with its joy. His lips met hers in an achingly tender kiss.
"You'll stay?" He asked, cradling her face in his hands.
"I will." She promised. "For as long as you want me to."
"I hope forever meets with your plans." He smiled against her lips. "Because I refuse to negotiate on that."
A tearful laugh burst out as she shook her head. "What am I to do with you?"
He lifted his head and brushed a kiss to her knuckles. "Marry me."

Episode 2: Grave
[If the embed doesn’t work, here’s a link: https://anchor.fm/worldcycle/episodes/Episode-2---Grave-ec0cdn]
Full Text:
Welcome to episode two of the World Cycle, a serial audiobook podcast.
You can find the full text of the episode at world cycle dot tumblr dot com[, right here].
The story goes:
Grave smiled as she slammed her foot down on the gas. Her van roared and charged down the empty road at the barricade held by Aegis Security troops. They fired their cute, little guns at Grave’s armoured steed and the bullets bounced right off. A man with very similar artificial eyes to Grave levelled his grenade launcher at the van and Grave mentally crossed her fingers.
This was her first time out since she and Rigger has souped up the van and she had no proof that Rigger had been right and that she wasn’t about to die. The forty-millimetre grenade struck the windscreen of the van and Gave was blinded and there was a resonant thump. But the windscreen wasn’t even scratched.
Aegis Security scrambled to get out of her way, but not all of them made it and Grave’s steed thundered over their soft bodies and through the roadblock. The AR signs blazed into life around her, High-Threat Response was on its way and she needed to be going.
The winding streets of Carrum Downs had once been the perfect place to lose Aegis, but with the looming presence of the forward operating base, Grave had to go much further and she had to go much faster. More rounds and more grenades drummed off the van as Grave raced through the Aegis and Federal Security Force troops, those blazing AR signs following her the whole way.
She skidded through another roadblock and onto Hall, headed for Cranbourne, the highway, and eventually Dandenong. The AR was following her, but Hall was straight and no car she would find out here was going to stop the van.
First came the thundering of the armoured car, charging up the road behind Gave and her steed. She could see the man poking out the top with his heavy machinegun and foolhardy arrogance.
Grave leaned back in her seat, hit the button for her shell and plugged the cord from her dash into the side of her head. The world exploded into shards of light and the back doors of the van opened to disgorge Grave’s children.
Scout went up and up and up and saw only the one armoured car, and a VTOL screaming to meet them on the road. Copter set the sniper’s sights on the man with the machine gun, and his torso came apart under its bullet. The Rollers split around the armoured car, firing their adorable rifles uselessly into the armour plates and a magnetic mine adhered to the front axle, and sent the armoured car blasting off the road.
The VTOL’s machine guns fired and Grave felt the bullets passing through the van like needles in her skin as Kamikaze streaked through the air to embed itself into the VTOL’s window. There was an explosion in the air and the VTOL crashed into the high-rises that flanked the road.
As Grave’s bullet-riddled van pulled up to The Lab, she sent confirmation to Rigger than the armour could not hold up to Aegis’s heavy machine guns. Her children were back in the van and the doors were closed, but she lamented the little shafts of light that made it into the back through the bullet-holes.
Even at ten in the morning, neo-techno blared from the Lab. Calum stood outside, his artificial arms gleaming in the sunlight, almost as ostentatious as the machine-gun in his hands. He waved Grave inside the small, brick structure with his typical disinterest.
Inside was quiet and cosy, Tess was at the bar with his friend, Jasmine. Tess waved at Grave as she took a seat at one of the booths and turned on the white-noise generator. She rested her forehead on the cool tabletop and figured that someone would wake her when the exiles arrived.
Ivy delicately placed a black coffee on the table beside Grave’s head and slid into the booth. Unlike Grave, Ivy’s eyes were not obviously artificial and so she appeared constantly distracted as some arcane stream of information played in her vision at all times.
Together they waited in silence.
Brick sat down, shaking the table with her metallic weight, and smiled her sharp, metal teeth at Grave. Last to arrive was, of course, Gazer, who pushed Grave along the booth so that he could see the door from his seat.
Now that everyone had arrived, Grave explained her need. They’d had word through Sam that Aegis Defence Systems, parent of Aegis Security, had sold the Federal Security Force some new missile system. It was supposed to be more durable, and unhackable – an assertion at which Ivy scoffed – and it needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.
Gazer wanted to know if they were working with the Enforcement Bureau, and Grave admitted that they were. She explained, for the umpteenth time, that they needed to work with the Enforcement Bureau to end this war.
Gazer left.
All the information Grave had was that the missiles were going to the forward operating base in Carrum Downs. They were arriving tonight. No, there had been no way for Grave to get through the blockade sooner without being killed.
Gazer sat back down and didn’t look directly at anyone. He did not warm as they discussed a plan. He did not warm as they moved to Grave’s van. He warmed when Grave gave him the sniper rifle Buzzer had sent with her for the purpose of this bribe.
Simon, with blood on his hands and on his bag of tools, confirmed that the missiles were coming from the airport and would arrive in Carrum Downs via the Eastlink. Grave paid Simon for his trouble and left before Simon could offer to let her see the Aegis officer who had furnished him the information.
They waited off the Eastlink in Wantirna and Scout and Gazer kept an eye out for the Aegis Defence Systems convoy. They had a plan in place, and it would crumble the moment it was executed but Grave reasoned that it was better than nothing.
Even flying free, high above, staring down at the road through Scout’s powerful cameras, the wait was maddening. It was just past midnight when Scout spotted the convoy. Two huge trucks, conspicuously solid in construction, with the Aegis shield painted in bright red and blue.
Grave told Scout to keep an eye out and relayed the images to the rest of the exiles. She returned to her body and started the van, pulling onto the Eastlink a couple hundred metres in front of the trucks. From her comfortable apartment in Mount Waverly, Ivy started the flickering AR signs around the van to signal a malfunction.
The trucks changed lanes to avoid the van, moving into the right-most lane. Brick, on her very disposable motorcycle, charged across from the other side of the road and hurled herself onto the cab of the forward truck. The cab dented under Brick’s metallic weight.
Gazer and his sniper rifle started firing from some distant rooftop and the truck’s windshield cratered with the bullets. The truck swerved as if trying to avoid the clinging Brick and scraped against the barrier before righting itself.
Spike drifted from the back of the van to wrap itself into the front of the truck and Grave’s world shattered as she was suddenly a truck with an astoundingly heavy woman clinging to the front. From her new position, Grave opened the driver-side door and Brick climbed in and used her hands to dispose of the driver. The guard in the back of the truck, even with his rifle, fared no better.
Brick reported that the truck was empty. Grave the Truck opened the back doors and Brick sprung onto the front of the rear truck. An AR vine crawled over the cab of that truck and all the doors sprung open.
Still Brick punched her way through the windscreen and hurled the driver from the cab. The guard in the back of the truck went out the open back doors with a stoic kind of shriek. But this truck, too, was empty.
The Aegis Security and Federal Security Force joint base in Carrum Downs had once been a six-storey apartment building, surrounded by other, similar apartment buildings. Now it was a six-story monolith of pitted, reinforced pastcrete. The buildings around had been demolished, presumably along with the residents.
It was just past two AM in the morning when two Aegis Defence Systems trucks slammed, full-speed, into the side of the base. Neither truck made much of a mark on the base, but alarms sounded and soldiers were roused from their beds.
Snipers swarmed onto the roof and found themselves with new holes from Gazer’s distant rifle. Soldiers mustered about the trucks, keeping their distance, but not keeping enough distance. The trucks detonated, cutting nearly a dozen soldiers to pieces and leaving two new pits on the reinforced, pastcrete building.
Grave’s van slammed through the garage door on the ground floor, just barely making it through the heavy metal. Brick and the Rollers charged out as Ivy, still comfortable in her Mount Waverly apartment, disabled the alarms, then the locks, then the lights.
Gunfire lit first the garage and offices on the ground floor as the recruits and poor soldiers fired wildly into the darkness. Soon, they were all gone. Brick and the Rollers went down the stairs, lighting up the training ground as cover popped up to defend those fighting people who were keeping their skills sharp in the middle of the night.
It was wonderous news that none of the soldiers trained with rockets or grenades, else they might have stood a chance. As it was, Brick and the Rollers made it down another floor with relative ease. Here was the underground garage and storeroom, where they had expected to find the missiles, but there was no sign of them.
On the bottom level of the basement was the server, to which Ivy couldn’t gain access remotely. While the Rollers stood guard at the stairs and lifts, Brick went down another floor to gain access to the server. She pulled the spider from their pod and stomped their head in, first.
Soldiers poured into the storeroom and the Rollers engaged, rifle to rifle. And then came the tank, thundering down into the underground garage. The rollers were fast, were nimble and accurate, and the tank had shells to waste. As the first Roller was disintegrated into flaming pain, Ivy informed everyone of the where the launch site was, and then she started screaming.
Grave pulled the van out of the garage on the ground floor as the second Roller was struck down below, connection already severed. Grave called to Brick, but the server was shielded and she couldn’t get through.
Then came a message from Brick: Get very far away.
Grave thundered into Carrum Downs, that AR display following her through the streets. And then a mighty boom and the base erupted into fire and stone. The AR display was gone, along with Brick and the base.
The missile battery had been parked within easy range of the Digger’s mortars, a huge, metal shelter was set up to keep the bombardment off it. Once there had been a building on the site, but the war had reduced it to rubble as Aegis Security had blasted the place to deal with the gangs supposedly sympathetic to the Digger’s cause.
Scout circled high above and through its many eyes, Grave saw a half-dozen drones like it, and a half-dozen drones like Copter. Beneath the metal shelter Scout could see three people working at the battery’s controls, and nearly fifteen people with guns, keeping an eye out. Among them were people with grenade launchers and one man with a rocket launcher.
The van couldn’t hold up to a rocket launcher and Gazer couldn’t hold up to the drones keeping an eye out for someone like him. Their comrades’ mortars wouldn’t get through the shelter on the battery, so they had to act. The one entrance to the space was blocked by a heavily armoured truck, a portable fortress from which to watch the missiles launch.
They needed to move quickly, needed to deal with the drones and move that truck. If Brick or Ivy had been there, the truck or the drones would have been no problem. But the drones were too small and moved too fast for Gazer to deal with them quickly, or for Copter to deal with them competently.
If Grave could get a mine under the truck, that might clear the way, but with the scout drones out in force, it would be impossible to do it without being spotted. And then the engineers scurried from under the shelter and ran for the truck and it was too late for planning.
Grave hurled the van toward the truck and struck with a resounding clang and a lurch, pinning two of the engineers to the outside of the truck. Gazer started firing, slowly hitting the copter drones. The light on the truck’s door turned red and the last engineer could not get it open.
Copter lifted out of the back of the van, shot the last engineer and was hit by a rocket fired at the van. Nine mines, the last of Grave’s stock, climbed under the truck and Grave reversed as quickly as the van could go. The explosions rocked the truck, sifting it just slightly and Grave charged the too-small opening, hoping that the van could push through.
A grenade struck the front of the van as Grave hit the gap, leaving not a scratch on the van nor shifting the truck an extra millimetre. The truck screamed against the ground, brakes and axles destroyed, as a rocket streaked toward the van. Scout dove from high above to intercept the rocket.
The truck screeched out of the way and Grave accelerated at the missile battery as it whined and emitted smoke. Grave dove from the van as the missile tube opened and another rocket struck the windshield, gutting the van. But the van had enough momentum and Grave knew what she was doing.
When the van hit it, the missile battery pivoted, the missile hit the inside of the shelter and with a deafening crash, the battery was gone.

It shocks numerous that there are a few different screen door alternatives that can add a stylish interest to the home while all the while making an additional layer of assurance. While it may not appear like much from the beginning, the additional door can cause anybody planning something sinister to pass on your home and search for a less demanding target. This is a definitive objective, securing your home from predators and wipe out any worry that may emerge when soften ins are happening up the region. When you are hoping to locate the ideal security door coordinate for you home, recollect that there are alternatives that will fit any financial plan. Of course, there might be a shot that essentially redesigned your present front door is the best alternative, however when you shop the market, you'll likely locate that numerous screen door choices exist that can make a moment "dead-darted" door to the front of your home. It can't be focused on enough how vital "appearance" is while securing the front-section to your home. We are not looking at being outwardly engaging for guests, but rather, outwardly unappealing to scouts that might be investigating the area for simple intrusion targets. Very much secured front gateways are a staggering obstacle and periodically, home protection breaks are accessible for those that have stepped up with regards to update the "principal line of resistance" against thievery. On the off chance that insurance agencies advocate it, there must be some reality to the thought that culprits are searching for the easy way out, isn't that so? My Shopping Experience When I set out to locate the ideal security door for my home and family, I looked in a few home change stores and brushed the different online offerings. I found that screen door interpretations convey the best of the two universes, as they are amazingly tough (normally some type of steel) and can include a stylish interest that is far better than that of a standard screen or front door. Since I chose to buy my door on the web, I would prescribe the same to anybody hoping to capitalize on their financial plan. What To Look For When Searching for the Perfect Door Looking for a decent quality door can be precarious, the same number of organizations will attempt to go off fair craftsmanship for prevalent security outlines. Make certain to evade any handle or press-wood doors, as they don't hold up well when put to the "stress test". Rather, search for a strong hardwood interpretation if hoping to overhaul your inward door, and stay with strong metal screen doors when hoping to include an optional security door. Extras That Can Improve Your Security Level While you are looking for your security option, recall that deadbolts, peep gaps, and door chains can include an additional component of security. A considerable lot of the organizations you discover online will have these in stock, and on the off chance that you play your cards right, you may wind up expediting an arrangement that incorporates one or these little additional items. They may not appear like much, as we are discussing a whole door in this specific circumstance, at the end of the day, you are expanding your security level without spending your whole undertaking spending plan. Wood or metal security doors can be rich in appearance while enhancing the general wellbeing of your home. Along these lines, it is imperative that you utilize the assortment of the market further bolstering your good fortune, and discover a door that meets your stylish and practical needs. Security is getting essential with the progression of time. In prior days, security was not as imperative as it is today. Today, security is given best need whether it be banks, homes, shops, autos or anything. Nothing goes unsecured in this day and age. This is because of the way that wrongdoing rate has expanded essentially finished most recent few decades. With regards to security, individuals now have introduced security doors  pakenham in their homes, workplaces, shops and alike. The vast majority of the hoodlums enter home by means of doors or windows. Accordingly security doors are critical on the off chance that you need to keep yourself and your family sheltered. There are a few kinds of security doors accessible to look over. Steel doors, wood doors, fiberglass doors and numerous others. Each compose has its own particular upsides and downsides. Here are a couple of significant advantages of utilizing security doors. Advantages Security steel doors are hard. Criminals can't break or open a security steel door. These are sufficiently hard to withstand a ton of knocks and thumps. The vast majority of these doors are immediately closed when they are left influencing you more to secure. It is essentially difficult to open a bolted hostile to burglary door. These can't be opened without unique keys. These sorts of doors are difficult to break. Or on the other hand I should state it isn't for all intents and purposes conceivable to break them. So on the off chance that you have introduced a protected door at your shop or office, there is no compelling reason to stress on the grounds that nobody can break or open it. A large portion of the these doors accompany a camera with the goal that you can see the opposite side effectively. It is anything but difficult to arrange these sorts of doors. The installation of a camera into your home is much more simple than you imagine! These steps will help you understand the basics of the subject and help you eliminate any confusion.

It's essential to note that If your IP address supports POE (power over Ethernet) then there's no need to supply electricity to your cameras. If you have analogue or HD-SDO systems, it is essential to make sure that your cameras are powered.
Determine the type of camera that you will use
The process of installation varies depending on the different kinds of surveillance cameras for video and systems.
Wired camera vs. wireless security cameras, which one to choose? It's all about what you need from your security. Be sure to conduct your research about the features you want to have and determine if they can be used in your environment. For more flexibility and ease of installation, consider wireless security cameras (especially battery-powered cameras) While wired PoE IP cameras can provide stable networks.

Installation tools include generally anchors, screws, and cables. You will be able to install your system quickly and effortlessly. If you buy an all-in one security camera Vstarcam highly recommends, screws are the required installation equipment is usually provided in the camera's box.
Look for places that offer stunning views and reliable power sources.
This is a crucial step towards self-installation of home surveillance systems. Be aware of the following specifics when you choose the areas where you'd like to put the camera:
To ensure a better picture, you should mount your camera at an elevation. To save money, make sure you cover as many entry points as you can using the smallest number of cameras you can.
Install the camera a location that is out of reach of home intruders and thieves, as well as naughty kids.
Mounting the camera
Make holes in your camera that allow it to be hung on the wall, ceiling, or any other location you've chosen. Make sure you position your camera in the right location and at the correct direction. When putting your security camera in the right position, ensure it is capable of detecting motion.

How Do You Install A Security Camera
Installing your security camera yourself will save you money. It's possible to pay more if you'd like professionals to do the job.
DIY installation of security cameras
If you are able to install the camera yourself, it's pretty much free after you pay for the equipment. Nowadays, cameras are not only easy to install by yourself, but also designed to be as pain-free as possible. You can place them on a table, set on the wall, or connect to a magnetic surface. But, not everyone is confident about drilling holes in their walls.
Professional installation
The system will be installed by a professional. Best Home Security Systems (such as ADT or Vivint) and a Security Camera Installation tech to set up everything, including the cameras.
Pro installation for standalone security cameras
There are many third-party providers such as MaxSol Techs available to help you locate local experts cctv installation if you are purchasing cameras. It's a fantastic value for money compared to the higher prices of CCTV companies.
What you'll pay for depends on the kind of gadget you're using and potentially other factors as well, such as your location. However, MaxSol Techs does list starting costs for security cameras as well as video doorbells.
How do you position your security cameras?
There aren't many who have to deal with thieves and break-ins (thank goodness). Some of us just want to check on deliveries or find out who's visiting our home when we're gone. Others want to keep an eye on their family members or pets. Take note of the purpose that is most important to you and then place your camera in a way that it is able to see what you are looking at.
Indoors or outdoors?
Outdoor and indoor cameras have different climate conditions. This is the main distinction. It's not what you want particularly when your camera malfunctions during the very first snow storm of the season.
Where to install an indoor security camera?
A camera for indoor use can be as simple as connecting it to the proper place then turning it on, then syncing with your desktop or mobile app. Although some might require drilling, most indoor cameras we've come across will require nothing other than a screwdriver.
A great indoor camera must offer a wide field of view, which you could get by using a larger corner or a shelf. The best places will offer a clear view of the space, a spot to keep the camera safe from thieves, and very little walking circulation (to keep from unplugging the camera or getting caught on the cord).
Where can you put in an outdoor security camera
Outdoor cameras are most commonly used above a garage door or even over a porch the front. For a garage camera, ensure you have a large field of view. To capture the best action on a porch camera, make sure that the camera is primarily looking at a driveway or walkway.
Do you need a wired, wireless, or wire-free cameras?
Security cameras usually offer three power options but the terminology can be unclear.
Wired, which means the camera uses wires to connect to both power and your internet.
Wireless implies that your camera can be connected to the internet wirelessly however it requires the use of a power cable. Sometimes, these cameras are known as "wired" since they require the use of a cord.
The security camera is wire-free, meaning it is entirely powered by a battery pack and does not require any wires. Sometimes , these cameras are referred to as wireless as they do not require power cords.
Although wired installations are less restricted in their scope, they will provide more secure connections and will make it easier to place your items. Consider the location where the wire will run and how long you will need. You can always buy more extension cables.

7 Things to Know Before Buying a Garage Door
We came across the following article on the web and felt it would be worth sharing with our readers. It truly is food for thought if you are considering replacing your garage door or getting a new garage built. It may be something y0u would like to discuss with our trained garage door repairs Cranbourne experts.
7 Things to Know Before Buying a Garage Door
From the snowy hush of winter in the mountains to the bustling streets of their ever-growing entrepreneurial cites, Cranbourne is a perfect combination of adventurous, Old-West spirit and trendsetting innovation. This blend of old and new can be seen not only in the style of homes, but garage doors. Cranbourne homeowners, for example, look for garage doors that are both well insulated against those cold, but modern in design and functionality with a good range of styles to choose from.
Consider These Tips Before Purchasing Your Garage Door
Whether you live in Cranbourne or Narre Warren or Dandenong, garage doors are a significant investment for any home. a garage door authority known as nation serve has put together a checklist of seven things every homeowner, regardless of where they live, should consider before purchasing a garage door:
1. What Do You Want to Use The Garage For?
At first glance this question seems like a no-brainer. Garage doors are for securing your garage, right? But think about what you use your garage for. Do you simply store your vehicles in it at night? Is it a space that becomes a home for your ATV, snowmobile, or boat in the off-seasons? Has it become a home for pet projects or an office for your home-based business or even a gym?
Knowing what you’re going to be using your garage for can help determine the type of door it needs. If you’re just using it for storage, good insulation is needed, of course, but not the kind with a high R-Value level required for a garage that’s going to be occupied year-round.
2. Know Your Design and Color Choices
Not sure how a certain garage door style or color will look on your home? Make sure you can see samples before making a decision. Most garage door manufacturers have websites with plenty of photos of their products that you can compare and contrast. You are sure to find images of garage doors in different designs, styles, textures, and colors as well as see examples of garage doors with windows and unique hardware.
Visit a NationServe showroom to talk to a team of garage door experts or make use of our online design center to help you find the perfect door.
3. New Garage Door, New Opener
Don’t let an old, malfunctioning garage door opener ruin your new, sleek and modern garage door. Get a new garage door opener at the same time you get your new door. NationServe has a large selection of garage door openers from Genie® and LiftMaster®. These openers are designed for convenience and functionality, making them easy to operate, but powerful enough to withstand frequent use.
5. Get Professional Installation
Do-it-yourself projects are tempting, especially when at first glance it looks like you could save some money. However, installing a garage door requires experience and skill to ensure the door is installed safely and correctly. Special tools are also required to properly and safely wind the garage door’s spring. Garage door springs are wound tightly and can cause serious injury if tampered with. It’s important to contact the professionals for help to ensure your safety and to get the job done right the first time.
Hiring a garage door professional for your garage door installation can save you a lot of stress. The job will be done properly by experts who have the tools and knowledge for a safe and efficient installation. Furthermore, you have someone you can call if something goes wrong.
6. Improve Garage Door Operation with Annual Maintenance
Your garage door spring controls the ease and speed at which your garage door operates. Standard torsion springs are rated to provide about 10,000 cycles over the lifespan of your garage. With average use, 10,000 cycles means your spring can endure approximately five years, depending on usage. That’s not a lot of time considering the kind of investment it takes to install and maintain a garage door. By getting your garage door serviced every year, you will have the peace of mind that your door will work when you need it the most. Planned maintenance can also help extend the life of your garage door.
 7. Should You Add Windows?
Adding windows to your garage door can increase the light in your garage’s interior while also boosting overall curb appeal. But it’s important to remember just what you’re planning on using your garage for before considering windows as a design option. If your garage is going to be heated, insulated glass windows are a must to maintain energy efficiency. If you’re using your garage for important storage, you might want to go windowless or at least install opaque glass in the top panels of the garage door.
8. Reduce Noise with Special Features
Do you have an attached garage? Is there a bedroom above it? Investing in a garage door made with insulation and nylon rollers can help reduce noise. The insulation will dampen vibrations caused by the door’s operation while the nylon rollers are simply quieter than steel. Getting a new garage door opener at the same time as your garage door? Try a new opener with a belt drive since they are usually quieter than other types.

MIKEY’S PERSONAL BLOG 157, May 2019
On Monday morning, I attended my Creative Writing short course held at Balla Balla Community Centre in Cranbourne East. After missing last week’s class due to my dental procedure, I was really keen to get back into it today. This week we covered the areas of plot, structure and theme. The plot is defined as a sequence of related events in a story, answers and asks a lot of questions of the reader, determines causes and their consequences. Structure is what holds the plot together and is the orderly arrangement of story elements.
Roderic then discussed the plot structure which consists of the beginning, middle and the end. The beginning introduces the characters, contains the hook, has a call to action and the first plot point. The middle shows the rising action and how the story unfolds, contains the first challenge, inciting event or temptation. The end contains an obstacle or dark moment, climax, final conflict and resolution.
Finally, we talked about theme which is the meaning behind the story. There are many common themes that can be found in stories such as love, power, loyalty, freedom, justice, corruption and friendship. This leads on to our homework exercise which involves choosing a group of themes and writing a plan for an 1000 word short story. As we recently had our federal election last weekend, I thought this would be a great topic to write about!
THEMES HOMEWORK EXERCISE (PLAN FOR 1000 WORD SHORT STORY)
Theme: Power and Corruption
Idea: United Australia Party leader Clive Palmer used $60 million on his advertising campaign and did preference deals with prime minister Scott Morrison and the coalition government in order to guarantee an election win.
Beginning: Clive brainstorms ideas for his advertising campaign via television, phone, billboards, flyers, posters and social media. He decides to invent catchy slogans such as “Tell him he’s dreaming” and “Australia’s not gonna cop it anymore” in order to win approval from the Australian people. On the surface, it appears that Clive is appealing his party to be an attractive alternative to the major parties (Australian Labor Party, Liberal Party and The Greens). However, in reality, Clive has a bigger agenda in mind. He intends to deceive the Australian public.
Middle: Clive teams up with Scott Morrison in order to secure preferences and a majority of votes to the coalition government. This takes place within a secure meeting room inside Parliament House in Canberra. No cameras. No witnesses. Scott promises that he’ll give Clive a cut of the Adani coal mine if he agrees to give all of his preferences for the United Australia Party to the coalition. They shake on it and it’s a done deal.
Meanwhile, Clive’s advertising campaign begins to hone in on Labor and opposition leader Bill Shorten in the final week leading up to the election. They describe him as “Shifty Shorten” and exploits Labor’s plan for a trillion dollar tax hike, essentially making him out to be the bad guy.
Ending: On election night, the media comment on how Clive Palmer “wasted” $60 million dollars on his advertising campaign and failed to secure a single seat in the House of Representatives. However, this was Clive’s plan all along. He fooled everyone.
Meanwhile, Clive decides to celebrate his “victory” by going on a trip to Fiji, flying there on his private jet. He stays at The Sheraton Resort and Spa, a luxurious hotel with an expensive price tag. Only the best for Clive Palmer. He can be seen soaking in his spa bath and watching the election results rolling in via the live news coverage on the flat screen TV. A billion dollar smile appears plastered over his face a his plan for power and corruption has been a monumental success.
On Tuesday afternoon, I had a mentoring session with Brad at Glen Waverley Library. Today we began doing some job exploration and even looked into a couple of courses that I could do related to floristry. It’s a tough industry to get into however it’s one that I could use my creative talents and organisational skills. It was getting easier to open up to Brad more and let my guard down a little in terms of talking about myself. Thankfully there wasn’t “story time” to distract us either, though I could hear a girl next door learning to speak Chinese.
Unfortunately when I walked out of the library and back to my car, the ignition was making a weird clicking noise and not starting. My first thought was that the battery had gone flat. I quickly called up the RACV and got them to send someone down to take a look at it. So I took some time to admire my surroundings: the nearby trees reflecting the colours of autumn. Considering this happened before the afternoon school pick up, it didn’t take long for them to arrive. A bright yellow van with BATTERIES printed on the side pulled up next door to me.
A man named Shanti tested the battery out and after jump starting the car, determined that my battery was completely dead. Even though I’m really dumb when it comes to cars, Shanti gave me easy to follow instructions so that he could test the battery. He told me that I would need to get it replaced and it would cost around $200. This was another unexpected expense that I hadn’t planned for but I was basically stuck here if I didn’t get this problem sorted out. It only took around 10 minutes for him to fit the new battery and I was good to go. Hopefully this will be the last car issue I have for a long while.
On Thursday afternoon, Mum and I attended the Biggest Morning Tea fundraising event held at Balla Balla Community Centre in Cranbourne East. It’s been a third year in a row attending this event as it raises funds and awareness towards a very important cause, cancer research. Hosted again by the President of the centre, Andy, we had a number of activities going on including raffles, auctions, a “guess the tea cup” game, coin tossing game and entertainment from singer Heather Thorne.
Amanda Jane Stapledon, who is the mayor of the City of Casey, was today’s special guest and she spoke about her own personal circumstances with challenging life events as well as learning how to be resilient during tough times in life. She believes that happiness is a choice and finding a positive outlook on things can really help to overcome to obstacles that we face.
The wonderful volunteers put together a plate of treats for everyone who attended today’s event including cakes and slices plus of course cups of tea and coffee. Mum and I were lucky enough to win one of the raffle prizes which was a large hamper filled with beauty products, a mug and a box of Favourites chocolates. Events like these (giving to others who are less fortunate than yourself) make you feel very grateful about your own life.  https://www.ballaballa.com.au/event/the-biggest-morning-tea/
On Thursday night, I attended the Aspergers Victoria Young Adults social meetup group held at Power Neighbourhood House in Ashwood. Tonight, I played my very first game of Dungeons & Dragons. I’d certainly held about it growing up. I knew that it was a popular Hasbro fantasy adventure board game with role playing aspects to it. Beyond that, I had no clue. Cal handed me a character sheet, a few dice blocks and got me to sit at the “Noobs” table inside the front room.  https://dnd.wizards.com/dungeons-and-dragons/what-is-dd
My character was Susannah, a Level 3 Monk who loves to get drunk, meditate and reach enlightenment. She wields a dagger and some darts. A girl named Georgia was our DM (Dungeon Master) who also played as narrator. The story line revolved around a strange town with a cult of bee creatures residing inside the local church. Initially it took me a while to get my head around all the terms like D20, D8, D4 being the different sided dice blocks and all the skills, attributes, actions, hit and attack points. Besides all the technical stuff, being able to “act” as my character and improvise dialogue was something of a challenge for me. I’ve always been really terrible at acting and performance act so this isn’t a strong area for me. Thankfully I wasn’t judged for it by the other Aspies at the table and I actually had a good laugh at how ridiculous the story was getting. The other good thing was that I stayed much longer than I intended and really enjoyed myself with these members I hadn’t met before tonight.  https://aspergersvic.org.au/event-3380973
“Watch out. I'm not afraid. Watch out. I'm beyond the trail. It's time to turn the page and love again. Watch out. I can feel your pain. Watch out. And I cry again. I'm leaving all my shadows behind.” Enigma featuring Aquilo - Amen (2016)Â
