Note these are all from my very unfinished first draft so forgive the bad wordage etc. etc. I'm just amazed I found all 3 words in it lol. And yes it's fic. Possibly one of my most bonkers and darkest fic ideas to date, so forgive me for being a bit vague re: where I cut out bits for people reading this who aren't Jilly since I'd prefer to have it more polished before more people know the specifics.

“Please,” he says. “Hear me out. I’m not asking you to rejoin the Jaeger Program. It put you through hell. And then some.” “And spat me back out in Arizona and now I’m all broken and sad,” she snorts. “I’ve already told you: I don’t want to be pitied.”

Sweet:

“I’m not sure I follow.” He tilted her chin up and smiled. “What a sweet little lamb you are. So perfect.” Before she could react, he dipped his head and kissed her.

Soft:

He softened a little. “Look, [Name Redacted], the Shatterdome has people you can talk to. An objective third party, if you won’t talk to me.” “I am talking to you,” she pointed out. “I mean a therapist, [Name Redacted]. And you and I both know you aren’t really talking to me. You’ve been shutting me out. Just think about it, okay?”

I've seen a few secret admirer Steddies going around where Steve's the one giving the notes (which I LOVE! I feel like those aren't as common)

But I headcanon Steve as having the worst handwriting. Therefore, I present platonic partners in crime CheerKing (is that right? Idk)

Under no conditions would Steve ask Carol to write the notes. But he's always liked Chrissy, and she seems trustworthy.

They strike up a deal. Chrissy will dictate Steve's notes and drop them in Eddie's locker herself. In return, Steve has to act as her fake-boyfriend to keep Jason at bay.

Then SHENANIGANS! Eddie gets feelings for Admirer, he sees Chrissy slip a note in his locker after Hellfire one evening. He's never had someone crush on him before, and he's straight (cue internalized homophobia, childhood trauma, big feelings for Steve he can't process) so he tries to convince himself he likes her.

The only problem is she's dating King Steve. Eddie hates the guy, with his stupid shiny hair and his big brown eyes and his moles and his smile... why does he get all the girls? Chrissy's the first girl to ever like him and of course Mr. Dreamy is dating her. They're not even clingy like he was with Wheeler so he probably doesn't even like her that much, just sees her as a rebound.

Eddie actually replies to the notes, leaving them in the library books Admirer tells him to. Steve knows Eddie likes Admirer, the pieces of Steve he shares in the notes, and it's the only way Steve gets to talk to him and he lives for it. But instead of Eddie asking who Admirer is, Steve watches as Eddie starts flirting with Chrissy. Steve gets all hurt and jealous because he thought Eddie was gay but now he's unsure. Still, he can't give up getting Eddie's replies, so he keeps writing.

Does Chrissy play along to keep Steve's secret even though this guy is crushing on her? Chrissy really likes Eddie, but she likes him as a friend. She decides to not tell him he's mistaken, because she wants to keep getting invites to band practice at Gareth's so she can spend more time with their cute friend Jeff.

Let's make it even more complicated! Instead of Tammy Thompson, Robin has a crush on Chrissy and sees her slip a note into Munson's locker on her way out of band practice and decides she's going to tell Steve to take him down a peg and hopefully breaks up with Chrissy. They then have a bathroom scene: she's been watching Steve and Chrissy for months and tells him how it's fucked up that he follows Eddie around, stares at him across the cafeteria, etc (she's saying it's bc Steve's jealous / Steve thinks she's calling him out). So he confesses, and cries. She feels like an asshat so she comes out too. They're just two gay idiots in love with straight people (only one of them is wrong. Sorry Robin!! Idk how to fix that part).

Steve starts coming with Chrissy to Hellfire night. Steve's doing it for protection from Jason, who's getting increasingly angry about Chrissy and Eddie. Eddie thinks Steve's being nice because he's sizing him up, trying to insert himself in between him and Chrissy in some macho way.

It all comes to a head when Jason catches Chrissy hanging with Jeff in the library (she's told Jeff EVERYTHING and is picking up Eddie's last reply). Jason hears them talking about Eddie planning to ask Chrissy out and decides to follow Eddie out to the quarry after school. Robin saw Jason pull out behind him and runs to tell Steve before he starts practice.

Steve rushes out and saves Eddie, then brings him home to patch him up. Eddie's pissy about it, Steve thinks it's adorable but frustrating. Jeff and Chrissy stop by the trailer when Eddie misses practice.

Eddie confesses his feelings to Chrissy, but she's holding hands with Jeff. Steve's forced to admit he's Admirer, sending Eddie head first into a sexuality crisis. But it's happy ever after so it's all good.

We get platonic hellcheer, platonic kingcheer (??), platonic stobin, Jeff x Chrissy (corrodedcheer??), and Steddie.

Idk there's something here but I don't want to write it lol Too many POVs and through lines for a person who already has a million WIPs.

He's was a medic in the army with a silver star, he has a son, a dead ex-wife, is gay, and has long term boyfriend named Buck who he moved to L.A. with. Oh, and Eddie is never on shift when there is a home game for the L.A. Rams. Evan Buckley has been traded to the L.A. Rams from the Houston Texans. He has amazing stats, awards, and been named one of America's most eligible bachelors. All he's missing is a super bowl win and a WAG to cheer for him alongside his sister in the stands. Or at least, that's what he's led the world to believe. Almost ten years ago Paramedic Diaz ran onto the Texas Longhorn's field to help college football star Evan Buckley after he was knocked unconscious. Months later, secrets are made so dreams can come true. Can they keep those secrets intact as Eddie takes on the challenges of being a firefighter in L.A. while Buck battles for the Lombardi with a new team?

It’s nice having something to share ☺️. Here’s something that’s not angsty from my secret buddie wip

Eddie smiles at him, all warm and bright like the sunrise slipping in between the curtains. His fingers caresses Buck’s cheek as they travel up to card through his hair, his thumb gently stroking over Buck’s birthmark before pulling Buck towards him for another kiss.

Their lips move languidly against one another’s, the soft sounds of their kisses and content exhales filling the room.

“I love you,” Eddie says, burying his face into the crook of Buck’s neck.

He’s heard Eddie say those three words countless times over the past year and a half, yet he still feels them ignite a warm sensation that spreads throughout his body like he did that first time.

Like there’s a star in his chest bursting with colour and light, its shimmering particles embedding themselves into Buck’s bloodstream until he’s glowing with Eddie’s love.

“Good talk.” Eddie jokes, earning a surprised chuckle, and he can’t help it, he leans in to press one more kiss to Buck’s lips.

“Very good.” Buck responds, grinning from ear to ear. “We should have talks like this more often.”

“Oh, we will.” Eddie responds, leaning in once more. He just can’t get enough. “We’ll do so much talking.” he teases, their lips brushing as he speaks, and Buck laughs and shakes his head slightly, the movement pulling him away from Eddie, and Eddie has to force himself not to pout, wanting to be as close to Buck as possible, never moving away. Maybe it’s for the best, because otherwise Eddie would not be able to let him out of his arms right now, and they unfortunately can’t just stand here forever. “But we need to do some actual talking first.” he says, leaning back to look into Buck’s shiny blue eyes.

“Yeah.” Buck’s smile is so soft and bashful, but still the brightest thing Eddie’s ever seen. “This is happening, right? You and me?” he asks suddenly, quietly and almost with a hint of shyness, and Eddie can’t have him doubting this, doubting them.

He looked like one of those pampered Instagram cats that people dressed up like they were having a spa day. Face goop, eye mask, plush dressing gown, a glass of ice water with a fat lemon slice floating in it, and—

“What the hell is that?”

Jamie followed his gaze down to his arms and smirked.

“What, this?” Jamie asked, adopting the tone of someone who’d brought their prized poodle around to brunch. He wiggled his eye mask the rest of the way off his face, sliding it over his hair like a makeshift hair band. “You weren’t here; I needed something to hold onto to get me to sleep.”

“Is that a football?”

“Yeah,” Jamie grinned. He held the plushie out for inspection. “Mint, innit? One of my fans sent it to me.”

Roy accepted the stuffed football, twisting it around in his hands. It was soft as a baby toy, and sized to regulation, although the skinny arms and legs sticking out of it would probably make it hard to get a decent spin on it. Stitched on the front were two small circles for eyes and a perfect half parentheses smile, something so simple a kid could’ve drawn it on, blissfully serene and ignorant of things like transfer windows and Financial Fair Play regulations. It certainly appeared more well rested than Roy.

Jamie waited expectantly for Roy to praise his excellent choice in plushies.

“Huh,” Roy huffed.

Jamie bristled indignantly. “‘Huh?’ That’s it?”

He made to grab the ball back and squawked in protest when Roy briefly held it up out of his reach before letting him snatched it back. Jamie clutched the toy protectively to his chest.

“Nothing else to add to that? No remarks ‘bout me being too old to sleep with stuffed toys?”

That would be hypocritical of him. “It just means ‘huh.’ I figured if anything, you’d have one of those stupid stuffed sharks from IKEA that everyone won’t shut up about.”

Jamie sat up in bed like a primped-up vampire rising from his coffin. He asked urgently, “What stuffed shark from IKEA?”

Sensing that the remainder of his day was about to be hijacked for something stupid, Roy disappeared into the bathroom. He at least deserved a chance to rinse off the stench of contract negotiations first.

Approximately thirty seconds later, a body thudded against the door. The doorknob rattled, followed by a whine when it didn’t open. “Roy! We need to go to IKEA.”

akeshu, phantom thieves gen, chatfic, silly but loving misunderstandings. the thieves are worried about ren and goro's relationship and decide to conduct a Secret Investigation about it. sumi, increasingly anxious, tries to bridge the gap.

as you like it (77.2k, ongoing longfic, rated T)

akeshu, gen, au where akechi has a palace, not p5r compliant but borrows elements. after the engine room, the phantom thieves realise that akechi is alive when the metanav hits on his name by chance. ren leads the thieves through Akechi's Theatre while flashing back to all the time he's spent with akechi over the past year, wondering how well he ever truly knew him, while reflecting on his own choices as a phantom thief. fic started in 2020, i've updated it three times this year which is a christmas miracle.

my sort of secret wip is all i am thinking about day and night so here's a fun lil snip that i don't think really gives much away :)

Eddie curls his fingers around the door handle as subtly as possible, hiding the movement with his torso by twisting toward Buck and leaning in close until their noses brush.

Buck goes a little cross-eyed, which makes Eddie huff in amusement, and then he places a tiny peck against Buck’s unsuspecting mouth before loudly declaring, “Race ya!” and bolting out of the truck.

Buck’s confused “What” is audible, vaulting out the door alongside Eddie, chasing after him before he can close the door.

Eddie laughs, his ribs creaking from the pressure of it, and its buoying enough that he feels nothing about slamming the door shut and pressing his face close to the window, a little bit so he can see Buck’s befuddled and affronted expression but mostly so he can wiggle his eyebrows in a challenge.

Then he takes off toward the sidewalk that��ll lead them down to Don’s shop.

A variety of filthy, booming curses echoes behind Eddie and then there's the distinct sound of Buck’s legs buckling and tripping over each other followed by a slamming door.

Another guffaw breaks out of Eddie, powering his strides and lengthening the distance he’s able to cover. Unfortunately, despite Buck’s general lack of grace, his long ass legs more than make up for it and have him crashing into Eddie’s back in no time.

Arms engulf Eddie’s waist, wrapping around him so roughly yet so gently too, and heat explodes along his body, Eddie’s skin instinctively latching onto the warmth Buck always offers.

Buck’s forehead knocks into the back of Eddie’s neck and one foot slides in the space between Eddie’s legs.

Eddie grunts and grabs onto Buck’s arms, clenching his fingers into defined muscle while he slows his steps, somehow managing to stabilize them and keep them from toppling over.

"So." Karen begins, pulling Hen's attention from the book she's been trying to read for the past week. She quirks an eyebrow at her wife, "So?" "So my boss's son's, partner broke their leg Tuesday after tripping over their 15 year old terrier." Karen explains and Hen can't help but look back towards where Paisley is lounging on the arm chair (Hen's favorite seat that she has lost to that sassy fur ball) with worry. Her wife chuckles reading Hen's internal concern, "Babe, Paisley is as pure bred as they come. We'll be lucky if she makes it to 10." "That pure bred survived an earthquake and a collapsed building. I wouldn't put it past her to make it way past 10 out of spite alone.” Hen remarks, turning back to Karen. Karen rolls her eyes, but gets back on topic, "Anyway. Harris, that's the partner, got their hands on some passes to that super exclusive gay club, The Green Carnation for this Friday." "You mean the place that runs a background check rivaling the FBI, makes every patron sign NDA's, and will blacklist a person from every gay bar from here to Vegas if they break said NDA? The place that is rumored to host not only out celebrities, but also the deeply closeted, tilt the world on it's axis if they ever came out, big names? That gay club?" Hen questions, her excitement starting to rise. Her very sexy and somehow very connected wife smirks, "The very one. And poor Harris just can't fathom trying to hop around on one leg and not drink thanks to their newly acquired pain meds. So they had their partner-" "Your boss's son." Hen remembers, leaning towards Karen, who instinctually gets closer as well. "Karson, with a K, starts to asks around his dads work because you know, we're literal rocket scientist working on very classified information." "Who better to invite to a secret club than those who work on secret projects." "Exactly." Karen's smirk becomes wicked (and very sinful), "And wouldn't you know, the only non-straight and married person around is yours truly." Hen honest to go squeals, loud and bubbling with elation, "You got us passes to The Green Carnation?!" "With a pre-paid drink package. All we have to do is agree to the background check and sign the NDA." Karen replies with a broad grin. Hen can no longer hold herself back and practically tackles her wife with a teeth clattering kiss. Karen, as always, catches her and kisses back 110%. ("So, my 48 off falls on the weekend." Eddie states and he takes notice of Buck's sly grin forming, his boyfriend most likely on the same train of thought, "And since it's still your bye week..." "You want to dance the night away with other secret gays." Evan finishes. Eddie smirks, "And get a private room blow job." The quarterback's smile is almost feral like, "I'll make the reservation." And Eddie watches Buck tap on the contact Florists with the green clover next to it. The phone rings twice before a deep voice comes through the speaker, "State your member id." "Buckley, 201-09-18." "Diaz, 201-09-19." A quick moment of silence, then, "What can The Green Carnation do for you today Mr. Buckley and Mr. Diaz?")

Whhhhaaat?!?!!! Crazy right?

Someone of you might be like ughhh why are you writing a sequel? But I hope most of you are just as excited as I am.

I didn’t have any plans to revisit the rivals world so soon (or at all, but I hadn’t ruled it out), but James asked me if I’d ever revisit it, particularly the shooting. Some ideas were thrown around and then like a week later I had words in a new doc and things have just gone from there.

So everyone who is a fan of the Rivals universe, say thank you to James 😘❤️

Without further ado, here’s a little something from Eddie’s POV.

Buck definitely breaks a few traffic laws to get to the hospital as fast as he does, and when he stops in his tracks in the doorway to Eddie’s room, Eddie feels like he can breathe properly for the first time since he woke up.

Buck’s got dark circles under his eyes and he’s carrying a tiredness that isn’t from a lack of sleep. He looks like shit, but he is still the most beautiful thing Eddie has ever seen.

“Hey, Buck”

Buck lets out a relieved laugh that quickly turns into a sob, rushing forward to envelope Eddie in a hug that both heals and fractures his heart.

He closes his eyes and wraps his good arm around Buck, ignoring the throb of pain in his injured shoulder. He’ll put up with a little bit of pain if it means holding Buck in his arms like this.

Buck is shaking, his tears soaking into Eddie’s hospital gown as he repeats Eddie’s name over and over again like a prayer.

“It’s okay, sweetheart.” Eddie murmurs. He kisses Buck’s hair, breathing in the scent of him. Here. Alive. “I’m okay.”

“Hi.” Eddie breathes out, smiling so wide his cheeks start to hurt.

“Hey.” Buck responds, taking a step inside, and as Eddie closes the door behind him, Buck sniffs and frowns, an alarmed look on his face. “Something’s burning?”

“Uh, it was.” Eddie says with a small chuckle, waving off Buck’s concern. “Just food, no casualties or property damage. I tried to make breakfast.”

“Eddie.” Buck laughs, kicking off his shoes. “Why?”

“Because.” he shrugs, then feels his cheeks burn as he looks at the ground. He’s being so silly. “You said you’d come over, and I wanted- I just wanted to make breakfast.” he says lamely, not sure how to put into words how much he wants to do anything and everything to make Buck happy, and how giddy last night made him, how kissing Buck was the most amazing thing that he wants to do over and over and over again, and how he wants Buck at his side forever and ever and ever. And he wanted to start off by doing this one simple thing for him. Plus, he was too antsy to just sit and wait for him to come over, and trying to cook was a good distraction. Until it wasn't.

“Eddie.” Buck repeats, this time softer, taking one step towards him, and Eddie looks up at him. “That’s really nice. But just so you know, it’d be even nicer if you didn’t try to burn your house down for me.” he adds through laughter.

“Oh, shut up.” Eddie huffs, playfully punching Buck’s shoulder, and as he’s taking his hand away, Buck grabs it. It goes limp, letting Buck easily unfold his loose fist and intertwine their fingers. It feels right, holding his hand, they fit together so well, as if made for each other. Eddie watches Buck’s face as Buck’s eyes are on their hands, watching in awe and wonder. As if he couldn’t believe he can do that now. As if he still doubts he can.
