In this blog post, we'll examine the Mercedes-AMG ONE's salient characteristics and the ways that F1 technology directly inspired both its design and engineering.

The Birth of the Mercedes-AMG ONE The Mercedes-AMG ONE made its debut as a concept car at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA). The project, which was originally called the Mercedes-AMG Project ONE, was created to honor AMG's 50th anniversary and to demonstrate the brand's dedication to pushing the limits of automotive performance.

Formula 1-Inspired Powertrain A hybrid powertrain that is directly adapted from the championship-winning Formula 1 cars of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team powers the Mercedes-AMG ONE. The hypercar has a 1.6-liter V6 turbocharged engine paired with four electric motors, two of which drive the front wheels and one of which is built into the turbocharger.

This cutting-edge engine can push the AMG ONE from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in less than six seconds and generate over 1,000 horsepower. It is predicted that the top speed will be around 350 km/h (217 mph).

Aerodynamics and Handling F1 technology also has a significant impact on the aerodynamics and handling of the Mercedes-AMG ONE. A massive front air intake, a shark fin on the engine cover, and an active rear wing that can change angle to increase downforce and decrease drag are just a few of the vehicle's very effective aerodynamic characteristics.
