Heeey, I hope you have a great day so far (as far as possible with the current situation) :) just out of curiosity: have you always been a seblaine shipper or have you been a klaine shipper first and if so, what made you fall in love with seblaine? :) also, you have mentioned several times that glee will always have a special place in your heart and I would love to hear y? Hey! That’s really sweet of you to ask, thank you :) I’m doing well and hope you are too anon! That’s a really interesting question that no one has ever asked me but I’m glad to answer! 

I have never been a klaine shipper, ever lol I was always a big fan of Blaine the moment we were introduced to him and became a stan ever since--which is kind of why I never shipped him with Kurt. Kurt, imo, was an incredibly selfish person and treated Blaine more like an accessory than a boyfriend. While Sebastian was selfish too, I just felt like there was a lot more chemistry? I’m not going to get into detail about the badly handled character development--because I truly believe if we would have had more backstory for Sebastian, more character development that didn’t paint Blaine right into Kurt’s hands, that Sebastian would have been a more suited relationship for Blaine (especially as he got older, went to college, moved to NY, etc). I’ve always been on the bandwagon that Sebastian made Blaine feel wanted from the get go, something he was clearly lacking from his relationship with Kurt, otherwise the attraction never would have happened in the first place.

Long story long, I mentioned a few reasons up top but--I’ve always enjoyed OTPs where character A is a cinnamon roll and character B is a fuck up who needs the love of character A to become more developed / realize that they’re a better person than they pretend to be. Seblaine holds so much more mystery and honest development in the hands of fic writers (since we never got much in way of canon) and like I said, I am still to this day thoroughly pissed off with Kurt’s behavior / how he treats someone he claims to love. Sebastian as a character held more heat, entertainment, mystery, layers and opportunity for growth in the little time we had him compared to Kurt the entire series. And that’s the tea. 

Glee holds a special place in my heart for many reasons: 

it’s one of the first fandoms that I’ve had key involvement in (from finchel in the early years, to seblaine in the later). I’ve written 124 glee fics and that’s not counting the finchel and seblainchel and countless other ships that are floating around somewhere on my ff.net account

it’s the only fandom that i’ve held popular rps in (if you know my seblaine rps, then you know. i still get messages to this day about them) 

seblaine is the longest OTP i’ve had in fandom land and it’s still one of the strongest that I have, consistently developing and changing into AUs that span past canon 

seblaine as an OTP in general holds a special place in my heart for many reasons

the relationships / friendships i’ve had that have changed me as a person have been from the glee fandom

glee was a big part of my life for a long time (and still is in some ways), which is why it has a special place in my heart. 

Seblaine is also an OTP which I hope to keep hold of as long as I can--relationships, fandoms and shows come and go, and I’m hoping that this one stays put for as long as possible. And for as long as people read my seblaine and enjoy it :3

1) is there a story you’re holding off on writing for some reason?

not currently. i was talking myself out of writing a canon divergence season 4 seblaine fic but we sEE where that went didn’t we ;) 

2) what work of yours, if any, are you the most embarrassed about existing?

i wrote some seblainchel in 2013 and they’re not that bad but for some reason i get so close to deleting them because they’re basically just PWP. but i leave them there to remind myself of the shenanigans i used to get up to with writing. 

14) do you make playlists for your current wips?

i made a playlist for my plans wrapped in rubber bands brio series a while back when it was in the start of it but never finished it. i’ve never done a playlist for a seblaine fic, for some reason my brain doesn’t automatically connect to making a playlist for something.

His parents certainly don’t love one another, they tolerate, if anything else. He remembers when Blaine told him that he loved Kurt but he doesn’t trust that either; he knows all about what toxic relationships look like—he’s been thriving on them and getting in-between them for years. And maybe that’s the shame of it all because Sebastian doesn’t believe that Kurt loves Blaine, not really anyways; he thinks he might love the idea of him. (10 moments; I just really like working on capturing my Sebastian voice!)

28. If I could draw, I think I’d draw a picture based on We Both Found What We’re Looking For because I love the idea of Blaine’s dog setting him up with Sebastian.

29. I don’t have an official beta reader because I get super self-conscious about people I actually know reading my fanfiction sometimes, but a good friend of mine normally proofreads my work to make sure it makes sense.

30. Sometimes it’s a song or a prompt I’ve seen online. Other times it’s just an urge to write and I don’t really know what’s going on until the story is actually in front of me.

31. Everytime I get a comment saying to “keep writing” it makes me feel better inside and I just think it’s really sweet knowing that there are people that want to read more of the words that come from my mind.

32. I listen to music when I write mainly to drown out other sounds in my house but sometimes I will draw inspiration from songs. When I do, it’s normally a pop tune (something from a previous top 40 ranking a lot of the time) because I mainly write from Blaine’s pov and he’s very top 40.

33. I usually write one-shots because I can’t keep in a steady flow when it comes to multi-chapter fics and epics are just way out of my ballpark.

34. Wherever You Find Love It Feels Like Christmas is my longest fic. It’s multi-chapter and nowhere near being finished. My longest complete fic is a Seblainchel one-shot with just over 6,000 words.

35. I’ve written a couple I’m pretty sure. I struggle to keep the words count super low, even with one-shots, so I don’t write drabbles that often.

36. I write AU or Canon Divergent most.

37. Third Person - it gives me a broader range to work with.

43. Literally every author I read from. They all put so much time and effort into their work and it really shows in how much enjoyment I get from it. I appreciate every last thing they write.

44. Lunarry. It’s not so much in fanfic that it needs more attention, but there’s a severe lack of fanart and, although I would contribute if I could, I can’t do anything about that. I just think they deserve better.

45. Isolation - Bex_Chan is such a well-written Dramione fic. Green Girl - Colubrina is one I go back to constantly because I love Slytherin! Hermione. And a dozen of Civillove’s one-shots are constantly on my phone because they’re that good.

46. I would probably recommend But You Shouldn’t Give Up. It’s a soulmate au and it’s different from everything else I’ve written and it seems to have gone down really well in the last few days so I’m really proud of it.

47. Archive of our Own 100%. The format is easy to understand and, for me, the entire thing is just easier on the eyes. I will read on ff.net, I just prefer AO3. And I barely read on tumblr.

48. I don’t, but I try to leave kudos wherever possible. I struggle with finding the words to say on a lot of fics because I just think they’re so good.

49. I don’t mind at all, unless it’s being used to mock me, my writing or the ship it’s about. I think it’s great when people want to share my work with others, so I don’t mind.

50. I just had a really bad summer about 4 years ago and I fell into the world of dramione fanfiction. I tried my hand at writing it about a year later and it didn’t go great. I started writing full last year, because I found a lot of passion in writing Sebastian x Blaine, and I’m still going.

51. I love when authors support eachother. It’s just so nice to know that we can all build eachother up even if our personal headcanons are different. Saying that, there’s also times when we really push the limits and we hate on each other for personally headcanons and the couples we ship. It’s really present in the flash fandom between WestAllen and Snowbarry fans, and there’s a lot of discourse between Klaine fans and people who don’t ship it. It kinda sucks when that happens.

t’s not often that he and Rachel get the chance to spend time together, just the two of them. They’d realised much too early in their relationship that it would be difficult, that amongst all of the travel they’d have to do, not to mention the seemingly millions of extra-curriculars between them both, they wouldn’t be able to hang out as much as they might like. They made do with what they could - phone calls and Skype and sporadic text messages that made the day a little bit easier - but actually seeing each other, it meant something.

Or, 5 times Sebastian calls Rachel 'Sunshine' and 1 time he explains why.

4) favorite character you’ve written

not to sound like a humblebrag but i’m consistently proud of my blaine anderson. i’ve been writing him and rping him for so long that he just kinda feels like a part of me. i think i also relate to blaine as a character for a lot of his emotional struggles in canon that i got to flush out in writing so, he continues to be one of my favorites to write. and i’m just overall proud of all the writing i’ve accomplished by putting him into fics.

9) what, if anything, do you do for inspiration?

when i desperately need inspiration to write i go look for prompt lists or ask people to send me things. sometimes i have the worst time coming up with ideas to jump start my writing. which is fine, because fanfic i feel like is a small family anyways, so i like when people send me things that they want to see me write. it also shows that they trust me to do it and do it well. otherwise, if i’m struggling with characterization or picturing something in my mind, i do a re-watch of shows or look at a fuck ton of gifsets to help :) 

16) are there any characters who haunt you?

i said this in another ask, but my rachel berry haunts me sometimes. now, i never really developed her past 2013 but when I read back on it today, i realize that i just wrote her based off of the strong personality hints that we got in canon. she doesn’t have a lot of depth. but this is something that you realize as a writer and if i would have continued to write blainchel or seblainchel, she most likely would have gotten better with time and effort.
