For Celts today it was Imbolc, a first step from winter to spring. For Romans was " Festum Candelarum" , a celebration of light. For Christians it was the presentation of Jesus to the Temple. In our local traditions, a strange mix of sacred and profane, today is the Candelòra. Light in this case has a meaning of rebirth after the winter hibernation, but generally is a communication role between death and life. In our dialect we say "Se 'l piöf a la Candelòra da l'inverno söm föra" Which means "If it's rainy at the Candelòra, we're getting out of winter " #celebration #roots #folklore #tradition #imbolc #candelora #winter #seasonscycle https://www.instagram.com/p/BtY6Kd1nhvg/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1lzgbcgf8ts4e
