today my manager walked up and informed me that since I’m a seasonal worker and I missed a time limit on packaging an order by 1 minute that 1 time, if I miss another then that will be my last day on the job adios. she then without the slightest pause made me take a name for secret santa and explained the rules to me. I’m standing there like how am i going to participate in secret santa if i’ve been fired

later, a fellow seasonal worker suddenly said something along the lines of ‘let me offer you some advice, ok? these people act really nice and they’ll laugh and joke with you and you think they’re your friends but they’ll write you up over the smallest infraction and fire you without a moment’s notice. do not trust them.” and I was like. yeah. yeah

fortunately this job sucks so I’m not terribly upset about the possibility of losing it

#it was cute how that other manager brought her wife over to introduce to me like HELLO I HAVE A WIFE :D WIFE MEET FRANCIS #but yeah like. she's cool but she isn't going to prevent me from being fired lol #seasonal workers! need an excuse to not keep em longer than needed I guess!!#anyways I don't know shit about this coworker whose name I got I've been here for a couple weeks and honestly I'd rather not spend money on #a practical stranger especially considering the very likely possibility that I will once again not have a steady job at any moment #but I already took the fuckin name.
