Alice in Chains performing the song "Black Gives Way to Blue" for the first time on TV at the British show Later... with Jools Holland, on November 10, 2009. Steve Martin was in the audience during the performance. The song was written by Jerry Cantrell as a tribute to his friend and late Alice in Chains' lead singer Layne Staley, and it is the last track on the album 'Black Gives Way to Blue' (2009).
