Sea Stallord
Originally an ancient colossal ocean leviathan (non-zora) back when it had skin. Having been defeated by ancient Caerulian Zora, it fell into a wide foggy canyon surrounded by brinepools. Deep critters picked it apart til nothing but bones were left, until eventually it became a Sea-Stallord.
Deepsea zora in that area saw it as a fallen god despite its weakened state. This deity however, had ate sacrifices prior to being felled: promising power and protection in return if it was kept protected and sated while it regained power.
But this magic was now corrupted and dark, and so the followers practices became corrupted and dark, deciding to hide it amongst themselves in the canyon's cavern system beneath the fog lest those above found out. This is Archon's (the current leader's) domain.
/expanding lore but need a name for their cult-like domain! more info on Archon's profile! Caeruleis has a secret treaty with them >:)
Contrary to the creed’s original desire to revive the Sea-Stallord to its former glory, Archon, (also arch-priest of the Stallord), wishes to keep it subdued and in rest-mode to maintain their own power over their people… and gain power over the Stallord itself.
The Stallord however will still rouse to remove any large threat before laying back down again. So the threat of the annihilation of an entire sea is still very much there if it had more energy, and could cause mass panic if the public knew this thing wasn’t that far away.
#expanding old leviathan lore mentioned in the old Caeruelis post but making it fkd uP#now i sleep#pri rambles#pri posts#world building#sea stallord#archon#my ocs#I have to design the Sea Stallord ;;; 💀

this former temple ( a place of worship / a place of salvation ): was another victim in a long string of the harmed, beaten, and broken. the women's words just seemed to fill link with more purpose, more duty in regards to the current situation in not only hyrule but the twilight realm as well. time is something link does not have in excess so he simply give's the dark skinned women a nod in agreement at her words and goes forth into the lair of this once scared building's boss: a fight the youth knew would not be easily won but immense courage had gotten him this far, just enough.
with the fall of the heavy duty lock disengaged, the duo walks through before coming face to face with the remains of the former guardian deity half buried beneath the sands, a giant horned dragon of the long lost spirit temple, who, transformed by the shadow magic from the mirror of twilight had become a puppet controlled by usurper zant ( who dared to question why this child blessed by destiny still lived, still sought victory ): the false king called upon ancient magics, not originally hailing from his tribe to fall forth a blade of malice incarnate and drove it straight into the hollowed out bones of the deity. now, with glowing red eyes and a taste for blood in its fangs was donning a most sinister moniker: twilit fossil--stallord.
after a battle well won, link's body showed visible signs of exhaustion but the women who had seemed to do battle as if dancing, looked completely unfazed by the whole ordeal but her eyes told a story of sadness, as if holding remorse towards a once holy being she probably gave prayer and high belief in. having been restored back to once was a bridge retracted back into place, a sealed door opened to where, link could only assume an end to his and midna's goal. a portal to lead to zant, the mirror of twilight.
the trio make their way up the tower, avoiding holes left by sections of staircase that had depreciated over the ages. upon reaching the mirror chamber link watches the shift in the women's features but she dares not to speak ( when the opportunity arose, he'd ask her name if only to make it easier to address her, even in his mind ): a massive statue of a desert goddess link has never heard praised stands before them and reaching for her hand, he brings the two of them atop his spinner to reach the top before activating the mechanism that which would unbury the mirror hidden beneath the sands. a cold chill blew through the air and a light sand storm had begun to kick up from the force of raising something so massive from beneath the sea of rock pieces. however, much to the shock of link and the absolute horrors of midna the mirror is incomplete: having been left in a shattered state void of three fragments.
link, whose never been big on words, can only mutter mere apologizes as his spit fire companion grovels at the feet of the broken mirror. in their distress the presence of the other women having been put to the background of both their minds... this is not what either of them had expected and at a loss, the duo stood motionless until a being, a sage atop the tallest pillars, all five are glowing blinding white begin to speak.
❛ a dark entity lurks in the twilight...it houses an evil power. ❜ ❛ you guided by fate and you possess the crest of the goddesses. hear us ❜ ❛ at the command of the goddesses, we sages guarded the mirror for millennia. ❜ ❛ you seek it but the mirror of twilight was fragmented by mighty magics. ❜ ❛ the magic is a dark power only he possesses. ❜ ❛ his name is... ganondorf. ❜
with every word the sages of old spoke link listened in earnest. their language as a delicacy upon his mind that he devoured with vigor, with maddened hunger. the night seemed to quiet, as when she spoke seas seemed to part and the earth seemed to shake. now, instead of the sages all eyes, those bathed in white light and those not turned to her. her words having cut the air like a knife. ❛ ----you? ❜ was all link could speak as he listened to the women speak her name, her truth, the reason that brought her to these once blessed grounds.
Mirror of Twilight.
Nabooru heard Link's tale through a murmur of static as her mind returned to a memory, though ancient, still remained fresh. A last ditch effort to save her sisters and their king before they could be executed. Some successfully escaped with her aid. But she was not quick enough. The rest of the combatants who fought with Ganondorf were executed in front of him, at the top of the temple turned prison.
And then...they turned their sights on the king. The sword that pierced his chest. How he broke free and dispatched of one of the glowing spirits overseeing his, now failed, demise. The disc...the mirror that created....something. A portal, perhaps, that pulled him inside. All witnessed from within the shadow of a pillar...
Her senses returned near the tail end of Link's story where he explained his ultimate goal. Where he confirmed that this mirror did in fact create a portal. One to some other realm.
Could he have truly survived then?
At first, Nabooru offered little more than a stoic nod to the young man dressed in green, gold eyes sharpening once more. She re-sheathed her blades and took hold of the key again. She turned around and placed it in the lock, twisting it to unlock it. The heavy chains fell away.
" I understand now why this place changed so drastically, then. I used to be able to go wherever I wanted here. " she murmured, referencing his story about this Zant character causing trouble all over Hyrule. His influence must have followed him here and, if he did not want these two to follow him, he likely made the grounds inaccessible to most who would try.
" But now, there are more monsters than ever. More obstacles and locked doors... " She paused then met Link's gaze again. " I'm coming with you. I want to see that mirror. I want to go to that other realm with you. "

Giant's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Hookshot!
Giant’s Mask: okay, this one and the music one I CANNOT pick just one or even five of, so here’s my top ten in no particular order--
Mazaal, Stallord, Jalhalla, Twinrova, Helmaroc King, Stalblind, Phantom Ganon, Blizzeta, Molgera
Ocarina of Time: again, top ten in no order--
Song of Time, Molgera, Dragon, Song of Storms, The Great Sea, Lorule Overworld, Dragon Roost Island, Kakariko Village (OOT version), Spirit Tracks overworld, Final Hours
Hookshot: I love the fast travel via shrines in BOTW, Epona is always great, and I’m that odd duck who actually enjoyed exploring the ocean in Wind Waker, so yeah.

Wind Waker!
Get to Know the Admin: Zelda Style!
Wind Waker - Favorite boss?
Shit.
Okay I’m gonna start myself off by saying no final bosses. Because if I did, Majora would slaughter everything else, I loved that fight so much.
But if that’s the case then really my favorite boss is a 3 way tie between 3 separate bosses.
Ancient Automaton: Koloktos (Skyward Sword)
Yes this one is a popular opinion but goddamn, Koloktos is so much fun. That second phase is just a huge stress reliever. The mere concept of taking the boss’s sword then proceeding to use it to expose his weak point is so cool, but then make the sword huge and each single swing completely decimates the boss’s limbs. It is just so satisfying, It always feels good to do that and that coupled with the theme which yes I know is also Moldarach’s theme but lets be honest, that boss sucked no one cares, even the devs didnt care as it got demoted to regular enemy later on in the Lanaryu Sand Sea... This fight is just heaven for me.
Usurper King: Zant (Twilight Princess)
I’m gonna be honest here Zant is my favorite Zelda villain not including the big bad Ganondorf. His fight is one of the biggest reasons why. The entire game Zant was portrayed as this evil and sinister being that was all powerful. Every line sounded cold and ruthless. And then you finally reach him in the Palace of Twilight, and then you meet him and he unmasks and begins to show his true nature and how weird he begins to act.... and then you fight him. It’s essentially a boss gauntlet type of fight. Zant uses his Twilight Magic to transform the arena into places where other main and minibosses are fought and Zant takes the qualites of those bosses, like for example when in the Goron Mines arena, he simulates what Dangoro did during his boss fight.
The best thing I love about this fight is the atmosphere. The marking in Zant’s Twilight Magic, the distorted, disjointed versions of the boss themes makes for a creepy and sinister nature that always sends a shiver down my spine, not to mention the creepy jeered laughs he makes. Then you fight the final form. He goes full on nutter. He pulls out two blades and begins constantly teleporting, spinning around and basically going crazy. He reveals his true nature. That of a spoiled child who couldn’t get what he wanted. And for some strange reason I always liked that, seeing this creepy sinister boss go to a childish crazed loony is just.... enjoyable for me.
Twilight Fossil: Stallord (Twilight Princess)
Once again a popular opinion apparently. This boss is why I love the Spinning Top item so much. The way you pinball off of Stallord’s minions in an attempt to get to the center, its just so much fun and unique for a Zelda game.
And then that second phase where you’re trying to reach and hit Stallord while climbing up up the arena and it’s so exhilarating and the ditty that plays in Twilight Princess when you expose the boss’s weak point makes this fight seem so fun and epic. Seriously we need a theme like this that plays whenever you stun a boss, this was my favorite feature of Twilight Princess.
Yes I love Twilight Princess for anyone wondering. I wanna be a Twili

My original Zelda “characters” I made when I was 10 years old were all boss monsters.
There was a two-headed sea monster but it had a head on one end and a head at the other end. Link had to fight the gigantic monster during a fierce storm in the middle of the ocean. I’ll give you an example...
^ It looked like Xibalba’s staff from The Book of Life.
And there was a fire and ice boss. I called them Stalfo Magicians. I only remember the Ice Stalfos’ name. I named them “Stalfy.” LOL It looks really friendly and acts silly but it’s all an act.
The third boss was Volvagia’s animated skeleton. So Stallord? I hadn’t played Twilight Princess until I was around 13 years old.
There might be more but I don’t feel like searching for those old drawings.
Here’s a picture of Stalfy. This is the only picture I have nearby.
This is a secret but I trapped a spirit in the Shard of Agony and the spirit is Stalfy. They love to play with Salami. They know his interests and uses the Shard to help him find cool bottles. Look at this post.
#long post -#talking to myself#Stalfy#i just realized Stalfy has a fairy kei color palette#nice work 10 year old me
