Hello 🍉anon again, hope you’re doing okay and I hope my writing is not atrocious for this request. This idea has been on my mind for an Arlecchino x dragon reader(similar to Neuvillette). So, Arlecchino receive a report from her operatives that an unknown creature is lurking in the shadow near Poisson, that keeps on attacking the others fatui members and stealing their rations. She tells them that she will look into it eventually as she doesn’t want their ressources to be stolen. She starts to investigate to gather information on this creature and possibly locate it and by a twisted turn of fate, stumbles into a dragon(secretly the reader)that look awfully hurt and almost on the verge of dying. Arlecchino took pity on the rather tiny looking dragon (tought it seems to be an adult one) and brought them to the house of the heart to treat their wounds.

As the times pass and Arlecchino started to grow fond of the dragon, she see in the corner of the room, a human. Visibly confused, she starts to draw her scythe ready to impale the person in front of her should they pose a threat. Then the reader just go up to her and nuzzle into her as if it was the most natural thing in the world and it was at this moment that she realized it was the dragon she had rescued. They start to bond and eventually grow more intimate with each others.

A/N -  Hi 🍉 Anon! Nice to see you again <3. Sorry this took so long. I just spoiled you guys with dragon arle, but how about dragon reader? Great idea, anon. Y'all really love dragons huh? Dragons are cool af, I don't blame you guys.  Unfortunately, I dunno a whole lot of genshin lore, so how genshin dragons work, idrk. I made you a Pyro Dragon, because bonding over fire abilities >>>  Dunno why I was so braindead while writing this, but that's why this took me an extra day to write this. By the way, the title is the english translation of the last three words. I headcanon that Arlecchino can speak Fontainian (French).  Content warnings / info - monster x human, reader is a dragon, reader is referred to ‘it’ for the most part, not second pov until the middle, arle's pov, reader is gn!, 1.7k words

Arlecchino didn't typically deal with these sorts of outings, not when her job typically dealt with information gathering and diplomacy. However, she couldn't turn a blind eye to this report in another Fatui camp situated in Poisson. Purportedly, rations have been going missing despite attempts to secure and protect them. Fatui operatives have been injured, and while Arlecchino does not doubt that some incompetence may have come into play, she does not believe that they are truly that incompetent. The operatives confirm that it is some type of creature, given the claws marks and the teeth indents the harmed operatives detailed. Whatever it was, it was too quick for the members to see, and so she now had to deal with it. 

Arriving at the camp, witness accounts didn't prove to be very helpful in terms of identifying the troublesome critter. However, the storage room, where the rations were stored, provided an interesting story to her. Unsurprisingly, clawed scratches littered around the containers of food, though she notices the indentures were caused by rather small paws. Despite the suggestion that the creature was rather tiny, it did not mean that creature was not weak, able to cut through solid metal. Interestingly enough, scorch marks also surrounded the area, even though there were no burns recorded in the injury accounts. The creature also seems rather famished. Each occurrence it raids the storage room, a considerable amount of food was stolen. Fascinating. Arlecchino can think of very few creatures like this but all of them seem implausible. 

However, there was a pattern to this creature’s visits. Every three nights, it came, wrecking havoc to whatever was in its way, but Arlecchino is sure that she'd be successful in capturing the beast tonight. She orders that no operatives are around the area–the last thing she desires is some inept fool getting in her way–and then she waits outside. 

It's near midnight when she first sees a glimpse of the creature's silhouette, about the size of a cat, but she can make out a long tail with spikes. Just as she anticipated, the creature appeared, flying through the open window she purposely opened. It pauses at the entrance, as if observing the lack of guards, but not questioning it as it dashes across the floor. Either this isn't a very smart creature, or its desperation for food outweighs the risks. Regardless, it just made a mistake. 

She uses her speed to enter the room before the creature has time to react, standing in front of the window it entered through. She closes the window, her eyes narrowing down on the now cornered beast. A scaled creature, with horns and wings. Its ears flattens against its head and their wings press against its body, imitating the fearful behavior a mutt would display. The longer she observers the creature the more she realizes that these traits match those of a dragon, albeit a very small dragon. She wonders if this was just a hatchling. 

The small dragon snarls at her, and a blaze emanates from its spine, the flames coursing down to its tail. The bright flames illuminate the dragon's features more, and it's when she notices that blood is spewing from a gruesome cut on its leg. 

An injured Pyro Dragon? It's terribly small, and she can't imagine how this one is still alive given its injury. Although the fire is an indicator it's a mature adult, the size is a cause of concern. What a pitiful thing.  

Arlecchino’s eyes flicker over to the box that the dragon tried getting into. As she approaches it, the dragon snarls, tensing its body to lunge at her at any second, however, she simply ignores it. Opening the lid, she's met with thick cuts of raw meat. She takes several cuts of the meat from the insulated container, before holding it out in front of the dragon. If the dragon needs raw meat, she has a particular selection of premium raw meat for herself that she could use for the dragon. 

“Eat,” she demands as she offers the food. The dragon, still maintaining its anxious behavior, stalks closer, sniffing the food before it latches its teeth on the steak. 

“I have as much meat as you could want, better quality as well. I'll feed you, shelter you, and take care of that cut for you. Come with me.” She says, offering another slab of meat. 

The dragon doesn't respond, nor stop eating, but its body relaxes. By the time it reaches its last piece of meat, it's eating out of her hand. Arlecchino uses the close proximity to examine the dragon's injuries. The dragon nudges its head against her hand, and Arlecchino strokes the dragon's head. 

“Will you come home with me?” 

The dragon gives her an affirmative croak.

The dragon did not grow any larger even in the months it stayed with her, nor did it transform into its human form yet. Its wound had been festering for quite a while, however under her care, it is healing remarkably quickly. Arlecchino proposes that the dragon is using its energy to heal from the wound. Had the dragon not done so, it would have surely met an agonizing fate. This continuous depletion didn't allow for the  dragon to grow in size, transform, or use its powers and it would have continued in that state for years had she not rescued it. 

It must be because of this that the dragon does not take long to get attached to her.

The dragon always sticks near her, sometimes physically on top of her. If it's not on her shoulder or head, then it's on her lap. Getting accustomed to how clingy the dragon is was a struggle, but she soon learns. 

If she'd allow it, it'd follow her everywhere. It's almost endearing. 

It only took three days for the dragon to sneak into her bedroom. The morning after, she awakened with an unfamiliar weight over her torso, and she found that the dragon was nestled on top of her. The next night that she slept, it was nuzzled against her neck and sprawled over her right shoulder. She'd be lying if she said it was an unwelcome sight, and it became a nightly occurrence. 

Often the dragon would play and entertain the House of the Hearth children. Sometimes, it'd accompany her outside, but only on certain missions. After all, she needed to test the dragon’s abilities in its current condition, and who better to test it on than the scum of Fontaine? 

Something else she finds intriguing is that the dragon devours fire, much like how the Iudex fancies his water, though the dragon is particular to her blood flames than any typical flames. On occasion, she uses her powers as a treat that the creature happily indulges in. 

Arlecchino only wonders what more she would learn once the dragon finally transforms.

Arlecchino returns to the House of the Hearth after another irritating Harbinger meeting, rather exasperated and irked by some of the impudence and dimness of her ‘coworkers.’ She reaches her bedroom, exhaling a sigh. Before she enters, she hears scuffling from beyond her bedroom door. Her door is slightly cracked open, implying that someone had entered during her absence. From the small opening of her door, she catches a glimpse of a figure. Instantly, her eyes narrow and she withdraws her scythe. 

Intruders have no place in her house. She knows that no children are inside, as it's one of the first things she's instilled when they first come: stay away from her room under any circumstance. So who is this audacious soul that dares trespass into her chambers?

Upon opening the door, she does not expect the speed of her assailant, as a figure crashes into her, wrapping their arms around her neck, face pressed against her neck. Arlecchino is momentarily stunned by the action, but for some reason, it feels familiar. The body is abnormally hot, too warm for a human being. This isn't someone she recognizes, and she was about to throw the being off of her when she paused. A purr erupts from the other person's throat, the vibrations coursing through the Harbinger. 

“Arle…” the person murmurs, the name making Arlecchino hesitate. They lean away, tilting their head and glancing up at her, and then her breath hitches. Vibrant, slitted eyes stare back at her, that gaze only belonging to a certain dragon she knows. 

“You're the–”

“–Dragon. It's finally nice to meet you, Arlecchino,” you say, as you finally uncoil your arms around her. Arlecchino observes you for longer, her scythe disappearing. Now that there's no threat, Arlecchino takes the time to observe your human form. 

“Are you fully healed?”

You nod, giving her a soft smile. “I am. Thank you. I'm indebted to you. I'm sure you know of this, but I would not have survived for much longer if it weren't for your help. If you'd allow me, I'd like to work under you as a repayment. I'm sure you'd like what I have to offer.” 

Arlecchino closes her eyes, a ghost of a smile appearing over her lips. “Very well.”

Arlecchino learns many things about you. She learns of your favorite food, which happens to be her blood fire. The way you favor your meat served and how you're incredibly food-excitable. She learns that your wings and tails are incredibly sensitive underneath her fingertips and she is well aware that she abuses this knowledge. She learns that your presence lifts her heart and it’s only you that can appreciate her curse. 

Your favorite touch from her is your head. Everyday, she'd pat you on the head the same way she did the night she saved you. Kissing your forehead and carding through your hair are close seconds.

She learns that there are some things that don't change even with your new form. While you never return to your small size in your dragon form, it does not mean you still do not linger around her, sitting in her lap when she's at her desk. You still play with the children, often acting as the ‘Mother’ role that the children did not have. And every night, you return to her bedside, embraced in her arms. 

There are a few things that have changed with your new form. Arlecchino feels as if you've rekindled her, your love is another flame in her veins that doesn't scorch her being, but instead, you warm her soul, consuming her cursed blood flames. 

It's what inspires the name that she always calls you before you drift to sleep.

Considering I'm super disorganized about my art and don't post everything I draw (sometimes it stays just in my server or among friends, or I just don't show anyone because it's unfinished/I'm unsatisfied), I'll have to find a lot of stuff that I've forgotten about.

Actually, I can just show some stuff that I *haven't* posted! (Everything else I ever have should be here.) Some of this stuff is Krow before I added the white hair because I didn't have that idea until around April.

^ Appropriately titled "Krow Smug Bitch". Everyone has fun with the cowboy AUs so why can't I?

^ He got nervous about seeing Usagi/Yukito I suppose

^ This one is interesting. Originally it was supposed to be just Krow as a magical boy, but then it turned into a bit of a mythology AU. He's the son of Yatagarasu the Three-Legged Crow from Shinto myth. Wasn't quite sure about everything... this was probably the result of watching too much Kamichama Karin as a kid lol

^ For fans of Transformers - TFP Optimus Prime with good ol' canon CJ! I feel like they would get along. Something about that red-and-blue leader drew him in I guess.

^ This was actually my first pass at an older version design of Krow. This was a complete piece too, but I was unsatisfied within a week or two. You can still see that I kept some things, notably the piercings, beard, and the idea of tattoos, as well as the Leo-inspired shoulder pads. The tattoo designs changed and so did the armor color, but it was an interesting first try at the older design.

^ A second attempt and older Krow, I was getting closer. (Still love the fashion on this though.)

^ The point I realized that I can't draw this man thin and have to start drawing him beefier and more filled out more consistently because it would be a crime against god or something. Was still finalizing his tattoos at this point and playing around with the idea of white hair. Considered the idea of the Hamato crest tattoo near his heart before nixing it because it's too cheesy and the Hamato tattoo is something a lot of people do for older/future character designs.

^ Ninpo weapon design for Older Krow! Yes he has a cyan scythe (really more of a kusarigama since it has a chain and weight at the end). Yes it's cool as fuck. No you can't touch it.

He's basically a reaper and it plays into his whole aesthetic as a crow, which symbolizes an omen of death. Crows are also often seen with scythe and scarecrow imagery because they're related to harvests.

I don't know why I never posted this, it *looks* finished... I think there was something off about the anatomy and I intended to fix it and then forgot and ugh. But anyway! There you go.

^ A height chart for younger Krow and Yukito that I never quite finished. But it's interesting to see them to the actual scale that I imagine them to be - Krow is 5'6", and Yukito's height is reversed since he's 6'5". Since both are around 19 when they meet, they're at their full adult heights here. Long live your short king!

^ Older Krow with lightning gloves. Which doesn't make sense actually because his gloves are electrical insulators to keep himself from getting zapped from one of his attacks. But who cares about that! It's cool!

^ Scythe sketch. Just trying to get a feel for the vibe of how he wields one. His cape/cloak plus the scythe probably gives opportunity for some really cool directional flow to occur.

^ Something I doodled just the other day. Old Krow but more cartoony and goofy. Love this silly guy!

Ever since posting that, I have seen so much more Drew appreciation and defense and I’m so happy but I’m on my knees for Drew and Percy fics 🙏🙏 please they’d be so mean and hot together 😫

Anyways I’m gonna respond with headcanons because this is my post and I can - and yes they are all over the place and not chronological what do you want from me

Drew came to camp during the SOM and was claimed before Percy got there. She saw him getting picked on for having a cyclops as a brother and then him pouting about it by the lake and she called him a loser and bullied him until he bullied her back and she was like. Yeah. He’s my friend now.

Shes used to people treating her differently because she’s pretty, she sees right through the pretty privilege and hates having fake friends who just want to hang around the pretty girl - especially guys who just want her for her looks. So she’s mean and cruel to see if people will be like “ur being a bitch” or if they just let her do her thing because she’s pretty

When Percy was mean back to her it like won him some points with her. Plus he can match her wit. And he read her to filth she’s not gonna lie and she needs more people like that around her

She was like his only friend that summer - I know Annabeth was his friend but they were fighting and on rocky terms so he would hang out with her in his free time.

She laughed when Percy told Tantalus to chase a donut and she had to go clean the stables as punishment

Drew adored Silena and looked up to her as her older sister and camp councilor. She thought it was cool for a child of Aphrodite to go against the rule in cabin 10 and date Beckendorf without breaking his heart. She related to it as like a child of Aphrodite going against the grain since she is you know daughter of love and is the most bitchiest person on the planet

When Beckendorf died and Silena was practically catatonic, Drew became her fill in, taking care of her siblings while Silena mourned and trying to take care of Silena when the other kids weren’t around so they wouldn’t worry - she truly has such a soft heart but only for a select few

When Annabeth was kidnapped in TTC, she wasn’t at camp and heard through the grapevine what happened but she didn’t know where Percy was so she couldn’t Iris message him. She tried Iris messaging him at camp but it didn’t go through. She wasn’t worried tho (yes she was)

She called him a grandpa the first time she saw him after that quest though because of his grey streak

She tried to teach him makeup during one of their hang outs but he already knew make up pretty well - she didn’t push on the why, she just helped him hone in on his skills (he stole his mom’s make up to his bruises from gabe)

Percy confided in Drew about Nico being a son of Hades because she’s like the central hub or headquarters for gossip at camp so she can put down rumors of Nico’s parentage and start up new ones to distract people. Also because she’s his friend too and he wanted her opinion on the whole thing

She’s almost as ignorant to the Great Prophecy as Percy is since she came to camp after him but she’s heard things here and there about it and when he tells her that he’s taking on the prophecy to protect Nico, she looks at him like he’s already dead just like Annabeth and Grover do and he can’t stand it so he pulls away from her, Annabeth, and Grover to spend more time with Rachel because she’s the only one who doesn’t treat him like a dead man walking

Drew found Silena’s scythe bracelet but since she wasn’t a camp councilor she didn’t know that there was a spy in their midst so she just thought it was some weird gift Beckendorf made her and put it back without saying anything

Since they were in the midst of a war with like fifty kids on their side, they could waste man power gathering the bodies of the fallen and showing them proper respect until after the fight was over. Drew stumbled upon Silena’s body, still smoking and melting from the acid, scythe charm in hand. After having seen Kronos wielding said weapon, things started to click for her as she stared down at her dead and disfigured sister.

That was the first time Drew actually fought in the war and wasn’t helping the wounded in the hotel. She was so enraged with Kronos, with Luke, with Silena, with Percy, and with herself

Percy found her and fought alongside her to protect her from enemies that almost broke through her defense since she was so angry and emotional she wasn’t even thinking about it

He tried to talk to her after the fact but she just threw the scythe charm bracelet at him without saying a word. That was the last time they spoke until Percy disappeared

She didn’t care when Percy and Annabeth got together. Distantly, she thinks she may have been proud and happy deep, deep, deep down but it was overshadowed by her rage and grief. Will understood that all too well as they had both been in the infirmary seeing all the gore and damage and death, all the lives they couldn’t save. Will blamed Percy for Michael, Drew was angry with Percy for not telling her anything about a potential spy that ended up being her sister who she KNEW! She KNEW she had that damn bracelet, but she didn’t have the information to put it together!

Now whispers of Silena being the traitor float around and she hears them as central hub of gossip but she can’t put them out. She’s enraged with Silena. She was everything Drew admired, she felt like her and Silena were the in the same vein of Aphrodite children, different, going against the grain. She helped Silena mourn. She took over for her as camp councilor. The whisper became about her and how if Silena, one of the sweetest girls in camp, could turn on them, then Drew, one if the meanest, probably already has.

She became a bit paranoid looking for potential traitors even if there wasn’t a war to be fought. She didn’t want what happened with Silena and Percy to happen to her again. So when Percy went missing and this new girl was claimed by Aphrodite with the power of charmspeak who seemed to stand against the cliche version of Aphrodite that people expected - Drew saw Silena.

Speaking of charmspeak, Drew never really used it until after the war. She never felt the need to until she was camp councilor and Silena was gone and she was paranoid and she needed some way to ensure that she knew everything that was happening so she got her cabin under her control and put her ear to the ground to catch every little whisper of gossip so she wouldn’t be surprised like that again

She only stopped being mad with Percy when he went missing. She thought it would be some short stint until Hera gave Annabeth a vision and she went out in search of him but returned with three random kids. Again, needing to feel in control, she but in and tried to wrangle the situation under her control by grabbing the boy who looked like he wielded power who may have known something who said weird things. She was trying to get info on what they were doing here and if they knew anything about Percy and his whereabouts

She can immediately clock sexualities. She knew TLH trio were all queer in some aspect. (Valgrace & sapphic Piper is real and true to me)

It used to be a little game she’d play with Percy where she’d point out some kid and go “pansexual” and he’d look the kid over and go “ehhh…demi” and it was more like a test honestly. She’d throw out right and wrong labels depending on the day and Percy would either agree or offer a counter label.

It led to Percy being kind of alright at clocking queer people and also led to a huge miscommunication between them and Jiper. Piper called Jason her boyfriend and Percy whipped his head around to look her over, having already clocked her as sapphic, and asked real skeptically “boy…friend???” And it happened to come across more scathing like along the lines of “You have a boyfriend? How could someone ever like you?” rather than “I thought you were gay?”

Jason tried to defend her like “Watch what you’re saying to my girlfriend” or some other alpha wolf shit and Percy looked him over the same way like “girlfriend???????????” even more incredulous. The ghost of Drew cackled loud as fuck for that btw oh my god they’re so lucky Drew wasn’t on that ship

When they eventually broke up and Piper came out and Jason and Leo started getting closer Percy was. Not surprised in the slightest.

Hot take: Percy clocked Nico as gay but he couldn’t clock his crush on him because of his shit self-esteem

Drew lives in New York in some rich neighborhood idk New York I don’t live there. Google says Upper East Side so I’ll just put that here in hopes it makes sense to someone.

Drew and Percy (pre-second titans war) used to hang out outside of camp. She’d drag him to go shopping with her and carry her bags and as payment she’d take him to buy new boards so whatever skateboarding terminology fits here. He’d end up dragging her to the park and trying to teach her how to skate and it’s the most fun she’s ever had even if her knees and elbows are banged up from falling over and over again, the only thing she can feel is the ache in her abdomen and face from laughing so hard and smiling so wide

She teaches him an Aphrodite tactic of warfare in using your looks to your advantage. She teaches him about pretty privilege and is like “a pretty face will get you almost anything” and he’s like “why do I need to know this it’s not like I can use this” and she just stares at him like “jfc ur so dumb”

He ends up using it while roaming California with no memory. With no memory, his self esteem is like. Balanced out so he’s not cocky but he’s not insecure. He’s objective and he can tell that some people are attracted to him so he uses it to his advantage. He’ll smile and flirt with the cashiers and workers to distract them while he steals food or he’ll charm restaurant workers into giving him like a plate of food at the end of the night. He isn’t sure where he learned it but damn is it useful.

When (which Stoll was it? Connor?) Connor pulled the note from Annabeth out of the fire and informed them that Percy and Annabeth were in Tartarus, that was when she finally forgave him and let go of all the anger she had been harboring, worry and concern taking it’s place

Speaking of Tartarus, that scene of Percy manipulating Bob to kill Hyperion? Those are skills he learned from Drew three points up.

Being thrown back into war, Drew fought the entire time this time rather than camping out in the infirmary and helping with the wounded.

She fights like Percy since Percy helped train her. She didn’t want to train with anyone else since she knew she’d get comments like “a daughter of Aphrodite wishes to fight?” Or something along those lines but she trusted Percy not to say anything like that since he’s never been one to believe generalizations. Its part of the reason why he has such a good relationship with cabin ten, because he treats them like demigods rather than shallow children of Aphrodite

Drew and Rachel knew each other before they met through Percy. Their fathers dragged them to the same business party or some other rich man lingo here. They ended up becoming good friends and exchanging numbers. They don’t “meet through Percy” until after Rachel becomes the oracle and they run into each other at camp like “??? Wtf????”

Drew loves anime and forced Percy to watch it. He’s unamused in the beginning but soon enough he’s bugging Drew to invite him over so they can watch more because she has all the good streaming services. This is a secret to everyone else but them. The only reason it gets out is because Piper makes a reference on the Argo ii and Percy and Leo laugh at it. Annabeth is baffled. Percy keeps Drew’s involvement a secret tho. He knows how important her reputation is to her and he’s a real one.

Percy, Rachel, and Drew end up at some company party together because Rachel dragged him along because like hell is she suffering alone and Drew finally enjoys one of these stupid parties with her friends. She acquires champagne through charmspeak but Percy declines (because I’m a (California) sober!Percy truther) and he becomes Drew and Rachel’s chaperone. They run around doing stupid shit while he keeps them safe - also having fun with them.

Rachel’s father refuses to invite Percy to these parties anymore but Drew’s father is more focused on the fact that this is the first time he’s seen his daughter like truly happy so he keeps inviting Percy much to the chagrin of Mr. Dare.

When the second giant war comes to an end and the fighting is over, Drew just rushes across the battleground and throws her arms around Percy and he’s surprised until he starts to feel her tears soaking his shirt and he guides her away from everyone. She finally breaks down not just from this war or losing him for that bit of time but from all the rage and anguish and losing her sister and the second titan war and just…all of it. She just cries against him silently. She’s not a loud crier and she denies having ever cried against him even when she pulls her head back to wipe her tears.

I mean, his dad and April are living proof of that-

But he genuinely can't help but be amazed when he sees you using a scythe of all things to go up against yokai's literally four times your size

Especially since you seemingly appeared out of nowhere to join the battle-

Seriously, can you portal or something???

He stops are stares as you easily knock a rather angry lizard yokai off balance, before sending them running with a slice of your wicked scythe

Your movement were so fluid,

A literal blink and you'll miss it type of speed

"Woah S/O! I didn't know you could do that-"

He'll exclaim, before ducking as you swipe at another angry yokai right behind him

"Think you could teach me how to do some of that??"

"Sure- we should probably finish this fight first though."

Oh right the fight-

He loves to spar with you

You're able to keep up with him quite easily!

And Leo is fast- like really fast

But even when he uses his portals to try to get near you-

He often will go into battle and cover you,

While he's still nervous about it,

He eventually starts hanging back to let you fight your own fights

And he comes to realize you are pretty great at what you do!

Your scythe is practically an extension of your own body,

And you easily handle opponents larger than you-

Both mystic and mutated!

Raph really comes to respect your strength and proficiency with your scythe.

He knows you can handle yourself

That still doesn't stop him from jumping in to help or defend you

Even when you may not necessarily need help

He still cares and worries about you

Doesn't want you to get hurt

Especially if he can help it.

Ok so I’ve started working on this art piece back when Qsmp was still ongoing, and I saw a theory (whose username I can’t remember or find) that bbh’s angel form was a cherbium (that may be spelled wrong. It’s the multi animal headed angel warriors) which originally inspired me to create this piece. It’s been a long while, and while I’m not entirely satisfied with the coloring/shading, I’ve decided to release it into the wild. Also if anyone wants to take a crack at coloring this feel free.

( this is where I’m gonna put my thought process behind the artistic designs of the fanart. Bbh’s extra heads are skeletons bc of his connection with death/grim reapers/ I think it looks cool, and are a hyena skull (left) and vulture skull (right) for obvious reasons if you know his Qsmp lore both in and out of purgatory. ( aka his dog role in purgatory plus the soul vultures plus his behavior being described as scavanger plus his crazy laugh) he has a scythe for similar reasons plus it was his main weapon of choice in the Qsmp (and aesthetics) even if I don’t have it as decorated as i originally wanted due to not wanting to over clutter the design and this is supposed to be before his fall, thus him having less of an identity that is later expressed in his clothing due to the monolithic nature of heaven (head canon) even if aspects of his personality due shine through. He has four arms bc I think it’s cool and bc I think it fits his overachiever personality. Also you may notice the mild gore of the arms and heads being a bit bloody/sinewy in their formation, which is bc I believe even in the beginning he was a bit of a mashoschit (this may also be spelled wrong. It’s the word for pain lovers) and also had violence born into him (this may be worded poorly, but o well). He has the ghosties in one of his hands bc I like to think that chat was always kinda lurking around him, and also ties back to his relation to death/the afterlife/ that whole ferryman Chiron (maybe spelled wrong. The Greek dead guy driving boats) thing he had going that he never elaborated on (to my knowledge). His halo is of course a nod to his namesake and which I deliberately made to resemble stained glass due to the frailty of his connection to heaven that would soon be broken. He has throng wings bc four was too many to fit and three matched his heads and his children. He is wearing a hood in a manner I based off of the artwork of mother Mary, bc of course. He has long nails bc I want him to. Oh, and he is wearing his robes like that bc this is before the apple bite and the subsequent establishment of nudity as shameful, and also bc I want him to. And he is not naked bc I don’t want to get flagged as explicit (shoutout to bigboobyhalo for being the punch I needed to commit to the bit). Proportions are exaggerated due to 1. Angels are not bound to conventional human forms 2. Makes a better silhouette 3. What are you talking about the proportions are totally normal 👍 (leave me alone body’s are hard)

kazutora: mikeys exact words were: "yk kazu your hair looks like bananas. you should go as a minion" everybody shit their pants laughing and convinced kazutora to go as a minion. he wasn't very happy with that idea

pah: a ghost. but not boring with just a bed sheet or smth, he was CREATIVE with it. (idk how tho cuz I'm not creative) it looked very cool tho

chifuyu: a vampire as well. didn't know what to do and baji just said "then match with me" and now they're both vampires

hakkai: also a pirate but more pirate like than mitsuya. he has a hook and an eye patch

peh: idk what he is but he ripped his t shirt and drew blood stains on it and his face with red color. looks very cool

smiley and angry: since smiley likes manga and stuff angry convinced him to go as Itachi and Sasuke. smiley may have refused at first but later gave in cuz it was too cool to say no

mucho: is no fun, didn't dress up at all. thinks halloween is not worth it

sanzu: a zombie. made his scars look like they are open with his makeup skills and painted his face green. looks so realistic a child cried when it saw him

Kokonoi: grim reaper. even bought a scythe and spend a little bit to much money on his costume

inui: first didn't want to go at all but koko insisted he would come along and dress up as a skeleton. Inuis costume is really low effort but it looks good

since it was fucking burning hot for 3 days straight, heres a little hc list of what phighters would do in extreme heat.

Sword: turn on the air conditioner to the max. I also hc that he has a pool outside the house so he would swim there as well

Skateboard: goes to the beach with Boombox and Coil. if he can't come then he go out to his backyard and spray water on himself to keep himself cool

Katana: Walks around the house half naked

Biograft: Subspace keeps them in a cool place to not get overheated

Ban Hammer: swims in the pool outside as well.

Rocket: watches TV the entire day

Shuriken: sits underneath the shade of the trees of the garden outside the Den trio's house. (I hc that they have a garden outside)

Slingshot: drinks a lot of water to cool himself down. draws as well.

Hyperlaser: spends time with his cat Princess

Scythe: really used to heat. probably goes hiking with Broker or something. checks up on Medkit

Medkit: not used to heat but he stays home and drinks a lot of water. Scythe and Broker check up on him sometime during the day.

Subspace: hides all of the biografts in cool places so they won't overheat

Boombox: goes to the beach with Skate or Coil. if he can't come then he lies in his bed the entire day and eats a lot of cold foods to cool himself down. listens to a lot of chill music as well.

Vine Staff: stays in her treehouse the whole time doing little bracelets and other jewelries

Coil: goes to beach with Skate and Boombox. if he can't go then he will lie down on the couch and doomscroll on tiktok

New Job, Who Dis?!

(Grim x Gender Neutral Reader)

After completing the DLC ending of A Date with Death, I have decided it is my favorite ending and conjured up a little dialog. This oneshot hints to the endings outcome, so spoiler warning ⚠️. This was written quickly, so pardon any grammatical errors! Enjoy!

“Hold up, start from the top. What's my job description again?”

“Your job will be to give life back to those who aren't supposed to die. Sometimes, innocent people are caught up in things where losing their life was NOT part of the original plan. Because your soul harbors the essence of life itself, with you at my side, you'll be able to attempt to save those people who are at the presepist of dying too early.”

“Attempt?” You eye him quizzically from your place at your desk. Casper is sat at the foot of your bed, long legs outstretched, hands in his lap. He nods and continues.

“Basically, when a mortal is on the verge of death, their soul has become tainted with what we call a ‘blight’ or ‘blight of death’. Similar to ‘the taint’ for reapers, though much much harder to bounce back from when the soul or a mortals very existence is overtaken or ‘infected’ if you will. Some people can bounce back on their own, while others succumb and meet their unfortunate end. I say attempt because sometimes a mortal is beyond cleansing. The blight is too far gone, and no amount of divine intervention will save their existence....so naturally, when we, no, you receive cases like this, time is of the essence.

“I see...wow, that's heavy. No pressure or anything. Sheesh.”

“Yes. The job will be difficult at times. Y/n, there will be times when a person will be beyond help. You'll want to save them desperately. Times where no matter how much effort is placed into saving them, it may not work, and you will be angry. I can't tell you how many times I've witnessed an innocent person parish entirely too early at the hands of a twisted version of fate. Those moments are out of my hands, and I have to ferry them away regardless. But that's where you'll come in.” 

“Sooo I'm basically an angel??”

“No, they're grotesque creatures. They instill fear in humans and sugar coat their acts with pretty words. You'll actually give hope. Plus, you're much prettier than they are. Who really needs that many eyes and wings, honestly??? But anyways…”

You fall silent in deep thought.

“Y/n? Why are you screwing up your face like that?”

“Can I really do this, Casper? What if I mess up??”

“My sweetest, little nightmare. I'll be there with you every step of the way.” Casper smiles reassuringly.

“Thank God. OH! Do I get a cool ass scythe of my own, too?” You perk up almost immediately, wistfully looking at his impressive weapon that is currently leaning against your wall nearest the door.

“I...I'll never get used to the way you can flip subjects so easily. But yes, I guess. Once you're settled, we will get you fitted with a 'cool ass scythe'. Or at least a decent weapon you'll use to channel your soul energy. I know a guy.”

“You know a guy? That doesn't sound shady at all, but fuck yea!”

He chuckles softly at your enthusiasm.

“I'm glad you're okay with this decision. I really couldn't think of a better way for this to work out for both of us but-”

“But you have a big, sexy brain that was able to figure it out, now you're stuck with me foreeevvver.” You beam, triumphantly.

“I suppose I am, and quite frankly, I would have it no other way.” With a smile on his face, Casper stands, reaches for your hands, and pulls you to your feet.

“Awww, little reaper. Since when did you get so mushy? It makes me want to violate yo- I mean...I could really go for some food right about now. Yea, food. That's what I meant."

“...You really are something else. We will grab something on the way to my place.”

“Bet. Finally making good on us moving in together?”

“Obviously. I can't escape you.” With a chuckle, he brushes his nose against yours playfully.

“It was inevitable, Casper” You respond. The grin that spreads across your face makes his "supposedly" cold heart warm.

“Seems so…and by the way…”

Casper slips his arm around your waist gently, leaning into your ear.

“I'll take you up on that offer of 'violating' me later, my little nightmare.”

“You just want to be stepped on.”

“S-stepped on? What..uh...I”

“The blush on your cheeks says you do. Can't take it back now. Your fate is sealed. I hope you're ready.” you wink.

Bloodmoon in dresses collection, round 2!

You thought I was done? So did I, but! Inspiration came back! And so I will now kick off the second round of this blog’s Bloodmoon in dresses collection.

One thing to note is that there are new participants, Bloodmoons from other aus that I hadn’t thought of for a while until someone (*coughs* @achickennamedcheese) asked me how many Bloodmoons I have. They are all here though, and they look rather dashing.

Starting us off, Magical Bloodmoon; Harvest Moon and Sturgeon Moon.

They didn’t need to look too far to find their dress, they already had one! Sure it was a skirt and some cool clothes but it’d still work. On top of that they could flaunt their cool shape shifting powers and they cool shape shifting weapon, so why wouldn’t they go for it? Might as well upstage everyone else in this whole damn place

They are having a lot of fun with this.

Next up, someone who you guys might not recognize on account of me not drawing or talking about them in so long. God of Doom Bloodmoon; Adaptation.

Adaptation himself has absolutely zero control over how Morpho decides to present them, so they didn’t particularly care when the butterfly put them in a dress. He did care when the winged death bringer pushed him to the front and basically let them run around and do whatever. He might be a bit self conscious now, but who is he to deny some time to hangout with their twin and the many other versions of themselves that are in that place?

There’s not enough red in his opinion

Last newcomer! I present to you, the amnesiac twins; Ruby and Vermillion.

Unlike around 99.8% of Bloodmoons, Ruby and Vermillion aren’t very close. Waking up so suddenly with no knowledge of anything or anyone and then learning that there’s someone else in their head was a very bad first impression for one another about each other. They both differ on tastes and likes greatly and don’t have much to bond over besides their dislike for the old them. It comes as no surprise then that they’d have trouble choosing something to wear for this event. On one hand Ruby just grabbed whatever he could and called it a day, making Vermillion feel very bad at the asymmetry of it all; on the other Vermillion chose stuff that makes sense and forms a cohesive color palette on top of being comfy, but Ruby absolutely hates the textures.

We can only hope those two come to an understanding at some point.

And finally, to wrap up this post we have the second design for one of the swap Bloodmoons; Fang.

Fang didn’t know what to do for the second round. Fang could steal from the Sun-man again, but didn’t want to, Fang wanted to stay with the other Others. So Fang had to think about what to do that wouldn’t require to go outside. Fang remembered that together with Scythe they usually had a combination of clothes that had a skirt, so Fang decided to wear the clothes the twins would wear together.

Sadly Fang cannot put the hood on

NOOBS4HEMA PT.4 - Swords 'n Words

So you want to learn how to do HEMA but you don't know where to start. I've covered some of these previously but I want to cover a lot of things that some people in our community may find themselves answering.

Am I too old/out of shape/LGBT+ - I'm gonna stop you right there. This is a small sport community, if you don't start now then you're just gonna postpone yourself from working out in a way that you love. Come as you are, come have fun. If you're cool then you're cool with us.

Does Sword and Shield Exist? I say "sword and shield doesn't exist" a lot. That's because I have never once had a student ask me about the "Hungarian Dueling Shield" or the "Judicial Dueling Shield" or a rotella or buckler. Its always a heater or a Anglo-Saxon/Nordic boss shield or a kite shield. 1.33, an incomplete manuscript, is the earliest thing we have and it's the closest to a heater in time but it doesn't cover that. The rotella or buckler is the closest in use but a lot of people don't want that and are willing to walk out. Now if you're reading this far: learn sword and rotella/buckler and just buy/make a heater/boss shield, you can totally do it if you want just know we don't have sources.

Does the Falchion Exist? You'd be surprised at how many people think it doesn't because of all the ones made in weird shapes. We have falchion sources and falchion trainers. A lot of the time it's covered under messer because, practically speaking, the only difference is how the hilt is mounted.

Can I Learn the Flail? The flail has been a point of contention and argument over existence and usage is never ending. Two-handed staff flail? We have sources and we have trainers. One-handed flail? You're pretty much stuck and you're going to have to transplant some sword techniques.

I Saw X Once, Where Do I Look for That? A lot of the weird weapons you see have been compiled or made by one guy: Paulus Hector Mair. He bought, stole, and wrote a lot of manuscripts due to the love of the game (and money.) Sickles, two-handed flail, scythes, jousting shield, dueling shield, man had it all.

As always, I'm open to questions, this isn't just for noobs after all. If you're experienced and want me to talk about something in particular let me know, I'll get to it (eventually.)

Just imagining Death brutally killing a demon that injured the reader. And as he’s tending to their injury, he’s lost in his thoughts, conjuring up what if scenarios, how they should’ve stayed with the Makers where it’s relatively more safe, how it’s his fault they’re hurt. Only when the reader touches him gently, telling him that they’re okay and that they don’t blame him, leans they’re forehead against his, that Death eventually comes back from his thoughts and relaxes, basking in their touch and close contact (this just leads to him falling for them harder cause this is before their relationship actually takes off)

"You must be a really brave human or a really stupid one, following me around without a second guess."

"Well, it's not like you put up a good fight to stop me!"

Your laugh echoed through the dark, and the fire of what the old goat said was called the Black Stone, the stronghold of Samael. Even here, in the depths of hell, your loyalty to your protector never faltered, not even for a second, despite the dangers and the possibility of your demise.

That didn't scare you; to you, it was a nice view. From the view of your world, destroyed by the hands of some dark forces, that was frightening enough.

"That wouldn't stop you even. I should put you on a leash in the future."

"I promise to follow your order...in the future."

A small chuckle escaped from him. absolutely audible from you and everyone else. 

"It seems calm! That is new."

"Um, yeah, it's quite quiet either here."

You still watched your surroundings, unaware of the stance that the horseman had taken, looking around you two, looking at the shadows that passed through the rocks.

"Maybe this Samael guy is not such a bad person! Maybe we can handle things easily!"

"....Y/n..."

"Even better, maybe we can avoid that mess with that angel! Surely, I don't want to be thrown from another to-"

"Y/N, behind me now!"

Oh, oh, you hated your big mouth.

A screeching growl emitted from the black walls of the fort, flames erupted from its origin, and a smoke that burned your nostrils engulfed you.

Merfires were never a real struggle for your companion, but they were for you when their eyes usually landed on you, something that Death was ready to avoid.

Just like when the wicked started attacking, the horsemen didn't lose any seconds in charging into battle. His scythes were swinging in the air, taking distance from the attacks of the beast. The sooner he gets rid of that thing, the sooner you both can move away!

The sound of the creature dying was the signal of the future detonation. He could have handled it; he had the worst, but his blood frozen, seeing that the monster decided to make one last charge against you.

"Y/M! MOVE!"

You tried to bolt, until what you felt was pain.

"It's not...that bad!"

"It leaves a scar."

"Scars are cool! You got scars, and I don't see you complaining!"

He couldn't care about responding to your remark; he was busy putching you up after that monster exploded a few steps away from you and, worst of all, thinking.

He had taken you—no, rushed you—to the Forge Lands, once you mentioned how similar to heart that place looks like and how nice it would have been to live there. You said that, and yet you kept following him around, into danger. Why did you have to do that? You were so fragile compared to him...

No, you weren't fragile; you always showed skills that even Death himself never believed a human could possess.

You kept talking; you called him, trying to figure out what was wrong with him. He just stared at your injury, contemplating his last failure—one more to the list. 

But you were different; you started to carve something in the horseman's chest. He couldn't grasp it, but it was there—the thing that makes him more reluctant to take you with him and yet so desperate to never lose his eyes on you. But he didn't protect you; you could have lost an arm or something; he couldn't help you! Why do you have to be on the other end of his mistake, the one that pays the price?! It wasn't fair. Why-

"Death!"

Your voice called him back, and this time you were able to catch him before drowsing.

"Something wrong?"

"You should have stayed here."

"Eh?!

He dropped, almost throwing away, the herbs and the medical supplies that you were able to get around.

"You should have stayed here in the Forge Lands! Not running around with me! See?! This happens when you get cocky."

He started to rumble—more than usual, to your own knowledge. Despite watching him rumble, complain, and keep throwing staff around, you wondered if everything was really about the attack of the demon. Despite your question, you started to worry more about him than your actual injury. He wasn't angry because you got hurt or because he needed to stop his mission to bring you somewhere safe; he was scared for your own life.

He kept mumbling, so absorbed in his own mind that he didn't hear the voice that was calling him. Only the warmer sensation of your hand on his pale arm finally brought his attention back to you.

He was out of breath, and you were just looking at him with those eyes, so full of life.

"Death...I'm fine..."

"You're not fine, you're-"

"I am. We're fine. Please..."

Were you? Were you really fine? Not with your body, but with everything? He seemed so fragile when you used a tender pull to bring him to your own level. Your hand rose to his mask, never daring to pull it away from him—something that you were respectful of, but he trusted you enough to let your smaller forehead touch the bone of it.

"Please stay here. I can't. I can't imagine what I could do if you get killed."

"I won't. I know you'll never let anything happen to me. Let me be by your side."

He never dared to imagine more than he needed to, but he wasn't as strong as he wanted to be, not with you at least. You were a sun ray in his darkest hour, and you decided to shine for him despite the agony of your own soul. You wanted to be strong for him just as much as he wanted to be for you.

He felt something in his chest, and he prayed to the Creator to just let him have these beautiful moments with you before the last hour.

Thoughts on season one's episode four to seven of RWBY coming right up... Or down I guess.

Season 01 Episode 04: The First Step - Pt I

- I am so happy that I can sing along to some of the song now. One of them monsters has a yellow coloured tip on it's tail. Didn't notice that before.

- So, Ruby's symbol is a rose. Weiss has the snowflake in her corner. Both Blake and Yang have something akin to flames, but of different colours and shapes. Blake's thing looks more like a flame to be honest. Yang's is almost a heart Hmmm.

- The girl is a morning person. The guy isn't. Both of them are me somehow. These two also show up in the opening and ending together with Jaune and the red-kinda-like-fire-dressed lady.

- Also, the boy here has magenta eyes. And a hair stripe of the same colour. Nice.

- Nora and Ren. The former is crushing, ain't she? And do they have a major height difference? Maybe it was the angle of the shot.

- No social interactions anymore. Ruby just wants to ride into the sunset with her weapon. Mood... Is this the arc where we learn about the importance of teamwork and people alongside her?

- "I don't need people to help me grow up. I drink milk!" Yes. You tell them kid.

- Yang doesn't want to be on Ruby's team. Typical big sister energy. I have that urge too sometimes.

- Jaune finishing a "nice and quirky" girl's sentence? More likely than you think.

- So red-kinda-like-fire-dressed lady is Pyrrha. Strong and well-known. Can't decipher her origins yet. Seems Greek to me, for whatever reason... Is she supposed to be Hestia?! Moi's favourite goddess from the Greek pantheon.

- Weiss wants her in her own corner. And she is scheming already about a good life alongside her. LoLLL!

- Okay, why is this soliloquy from Weiss me as a kid thinking about getting a best friend for life? Nothing gay going on at all... Oh my Gods. She literally says, "Nothing could come between us now!" 😂👏🏻

- Jaune is jinx for Weiss it seems. Am pretty sure Pyrrha is actually fond of him. She is the only one so far who waved at him willingly. Or maybe she was just being polite.

- "Hot stuff." "Snow angel." WoW.

- Weiss really is smart. She realised what would get Jaune to recognise Pyrrha after only two attempts. Kudos!

- I liked the cereal box animation bit. Gave me a good giggle.

- Pyrrha is so nice. Jaune thinks he has more game than he actually does. Should read up on personal space though. Ooooooh! That spear throw from Pyrrha was badass!

- "Ladykiller." Yeah, the ladies want to kill themselves often when he comes around. Jokes! 😂

- Is Ozpin sick or something? Every time I see him well enough, he has a cup in his hand. Granted I have only seen him thrice, but during two of those times he was drinking from a cup and walking around merrily. The initiation speech was the only time I saw him actively using what looks to be a cane. He didn't seem very energetic then, as noted by Yang and Ruby. Too early to actually lock in on this though.

- Emerald forest. Cute.

- Ruby's worst nightmare is coming true. Jaune's attempt at a question was the tree in the jungle no one saw fall. And they will be graded on their journey through the woods and could die in the process... I want to be in this world.

- Jaune. My friend. It's kind-of a drop off. Look around. You missed Yang putting on her aviators moments before being catapulted. So cool.

- The Blake ending. Tune was nice. Very, expect something to come soon.

Season 01 Episode 05: The First Step - Pt II

- Rocking along to the opening song.

- Ruby smashed across a winged creature on her way down. Hope that birdie wasn't uncle Qrow. 😆

- The scythe landing technique was nice. Weiss has snowflake steps. Ren uses his gun very well. Yang is handblasting her gauntlets to fly through the sky. Pyrrha warrior princess-ed a path in. AND assisted Jaune. Gods, she is good... Yang seemed to be the only one having fun though. The aviators make a lot more sense now.

- How did Blake and Nora get in? Me wants to know!

- The mental juggling Ruby is doing as she runs... Funny and many people's everyday reality. Probably different circumstances though. I hope.

- The figures in her head are so unserious. Great for comedic value at least! Blake's "so mysterious, so calm" face is giving major 'Hey mamas' vibes.

- So Ruby's choices so far are her own sister. The incompetent nice guy. The anti-social bibliophile. And...

- Of course it's the mean girl Ruby ends up paired with... "The world needs the selfless and the selfish to keep spinning." 😭

- Oh my Gods. Is this Weiss' version of 'stuck between a rock and a hard place?'

- Ruby's celebratory hurrah on getting Weiss as a partner might not last long, but mine probably will. 😁

- Jaune should be asking for team spots on Pyrrha's side. But still, cute!

- Grimm monster's here. Weiss is alone. Ooooooh. Things mayhaps be getting interesting.

- Yang's ending. Exciting music. Makes me want to do a montage planning a revolution.

Season 01 Episode 06: The Emerald Forest - Pt I

- RWBY opening. My beloved.

- The monster is not Yang's sister. The other monster is also not Ruby. And they both get hit by Yang.

- Complained so bad Yang is teasing them now.

- Ahhhh. Her hair is precious. One strand out, and not only does the perpetrator go down but some trees around them as well. Junior's fate is shrouded in more darkness now.

- Blake did the other monster a favour by saving it from Yang's wrath.

- Her ensuing smirk and Yang's answer... New partner alert! AGHHHHHHHHH! It's happening!!!!

- Weiss being so technical about her stance and stuff could mean she hasn't had much time training with actual monsters.

- Ruby and Weiss' teamwork so good, they only needed one hit to bring down an entire group of monsters AND some chunk of the jungle... without even meaning to do that. 😂

- Sending my prayers to the collateral damage the forest is withstanding. And the noise pollution it needs to tolerate, courtesy of Ruby and Weiss.

- Slicing down the tree in anger was such an alpha male move. I support a woman in male dominated fields. Go Ruby!

- That feather is huge. Is that from a monster?

- I am loving the reversal of gender roles between Jaune and Pyrrha. The damsel in distress man and the competent protector lady. Considering this came out in 2013, good on the folks behind the show for making this a thing. Chef's kiss!

- Ooooooh! Exposition... "It bears our burdens and shields our hearts." I guess I don't have no soul. My aura would be working overtime otherwise.

- Ren vs a big snek. Aura Person vs Creature of Grimm. Manifestation of soul vs Manifestation of anonymity. Light vs Darkness.

- It's interesting how just as Pyrrha talks about understanding light and darkness, 'cause everyone has some of both, a white snek comes along. Also a Grimm creature, from the looks of it. Hmmm.

- Essentially, bare your soul. Project yourself. Turn your aura into a forcefield... Man, they really are coming for the arses of emotionally unavailable people.

- Hope Ren's okie... WHOA. This guy pulled out some serious ancient art moves with his magenta-pink(?) aura. Blasted a snek's head off. NOICE!!!

- The fact that Jaune didn't immediately assume Pyrrha was going to kiss him is good character development! 😂 Jokes aside though, Pyrrha used her own aura to unlock Jaune's? She is such a good person...

- White aura Jaune. Red aura Pyrrha.

- "You have a lot of it." Am sure Jaune's mum probably wondered why he had so much energy at least a few times. 😆

- A wild sloth appears. Ren doubts her choice of animal noise. The sloth uses the 'boop' maneuver to counteract this claim.

- The Jaune and Pyrrha ending. The music is almost EDM like here.

Season 01 Episode 07: The Emerald Forest - Pt II

- Yes, am ready for a revolution!

- Pairs have been formed and Madam Glynda has thoughts... I have none 'cause she so pretty.

- Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren. Norse myths and I think Chinese background... Nora's inspiration is apparent. Can't figure out Ren's... They do have such cool names though. NOICE!

- Of course Jaune is a good student. And Ozpin is really invested in Ruby. Hmmm.

- Weiss' sky high pride meet Ruby's rising irritation... Ooooof. That spat was unnecessary. Don't be so rude Weiss. You really don't know Ruby.

- Blake and Yang are the first ones to make it?! Dream team!!! Go sapphics, go!!!

- The temple's a chessboard. Huh.

- Jaune and Pyrrha enter a cave (Why does this sound like an opening for a joke?)... Jaune's only contribution has been extinguished 'cause he clumsy. Warmth in places dark... Good sign?

- Yang and Blake decide on taking a pony. Equestrian folks would appreciate it.

- The chesspieces have yellow and black toppers. Huh.

- Jaune confused the yellow-tip of a monster for the relic. Classic. His girlish screams are doing something to Blake. Is this PTSD?

- The cave has a drawing of a scorpion being forced in. Oh Gods. I think there was similar art when Pyrrha and Jaune were entering initially. Either this is actually funny or I am too tired.

- Jaune goes flying out, Ruby comes flying in. Wonder what happened there.

- The Ren and Nora ending. Sounds a little like a spy theme. Huh. I didn't realise they showed symbols in the end credits as well. Ren's is like a leaf. Or is it a flower. And Nora's reminds me of a hammer. But with a needle on both ends of the part with which you hit. Hmmm.

today in ideas that consumed my entire being (ramblings under the cut)

i’ve been thinking a lot about the hero/villain parallels in both seasons, more specifically in relation to jesse

in season 1 Magnus and Ellegaard are clearly Axel and Olivia, i think Gabriel and Petra are the warriors (esp since you have to choose between them in the beginning), and the Soren&Lukas parallel is admittedly weaker, but they’re both described as arrogant, cowardly, etc. but also amazing builders and leaders. so that leaves Ivor to be Jesse’s sort of parallel- which lends itself to how Jack mentions that Ivor is the founder of the Old Order of the Stone, same way Jesse is the founder of the new one. and… while he does get his redemption… Ivor is the first antagonist presented in the series.

season 2 definitely lends itself more towards Romeo and Petra being each other’s reflection-sort-thing, but i can’t be the only one who sees Romeo, Fred and Xara as a mirror to Jesse, Axel and Olivia. (also, this is based more in headcanon so im REAching here, but Lukas comments a lot on how Jesse can’t seem to leave his old life behind; i personally took that as him (jesse) subconsciously chasing adventure to a reckless extent, which is comparable to how Romeo set up all those unhinged challenges for his friends)

anyway, little art notes for anyone might be interested; i tried to show this in my little drawing with warm colours for the New Order and grey/blue for the underneath, i placed romeo on the side with axel and olivia and ivor on the side with lukas and petra to show the different symbolisms, and the jesse underneath the amulet is the one i normally draw for the during part of the witherstorm arc for like… vulnerable little guy idk. i included reuben in the top because they’re meant to be stark contrasts, the top one is a happy fantasy and the bottom one is a miserable nightmare. also i gave him a scythe because i saw a comment on the kwite vod where he made the diamond hoe as a joke that they headcanon enchanted hoe’s turning into scythes which i thought was super cool.

There he is, the guy himself. He’ll set up traps all around Snowdin and the forest in order to capture (or outright kill) Lunar. Lunar though spooked actually finds the twins to be cool, but they both kinda intimidate them so they’d only actively want to befriend them both in a replay. Now as for Blood’s fight.

He technically has five total fights, but the first four are more just him ambushing Lunar and attacking a bit and then getting distracted with something else. In those four first fights he’ll use a mace, a bow, a scythe, and a chainsaw to fight. One of those fights, probably the scythe one, would be interrupted by Snow complaining about Blood stealing her favorite weapon, which would lead to a small argument between the twins which Lunar would use to run away. In short, Lunar has to run away from all four fights. And then, the actual fight. In the outskirts of Snowdin during a snow storm, Blood will use every single weapon they had used before and some knives to try and fight//kill Lunar, by then he’d be pissed by the fact he hasn’t been able to kill them and would absolutely not hold back. There’d be multiple insta kills at various points in the fight. And of course, the blue soul mechanic. Lunar would have to actively avoid traps that had been set in the battlefield by Blood all while dodging the bot’s attacks. It’d be a very fun fight over all, well, for the player, Lunar would be terrified on their first run. And then comes the special attack, Blood chases Lunar all around the battlefield with the intent of leading them to a giant fucking bear trap hidden in the snow or something. If activated, the trap is an insta kill. If not…

The trap still activates. And Blood falls on it.

from here there are five different ways the battle could end, I have made a chart though I forgot one of the variants.

There are two turns where neither Lunar or the player can act, due to the shock (and angst >:)) of the event. Once free to act, there are three turns left to the battle. This isn’t the case if Lunar had been fighting prior to this happening and had lowered Blood’s health over 50%, in that case Blood would straight up die from the bear trap, EXP would be gained from this. If his HP is over 50%, he’d lose a good chunk of it, the rest slowly draining as the turns pass.

If the three turns are up and nothing has been done to either help, escape, or end things, Blood will die, no EXP would be gained from it.

If choosing to attack, Lunar will hit the trap so it hurries draining his HP up, Blood dies, EXP is gained.

The canon thing that happens in Lunar’s first run is they run away. They exit Snowdin, shaken up by the events that just transpired, and will refuse to go back to Snowdin if the player tries to go back. They would try to not think about it and keep going through the underground, only other mention of Blood being Solar (haven’t thought that through yet), and it isn’t until they reach Judgement Hall that they remember that. They are confronted with what they did by facing the person who’d be the most affected by Blood’s death, though she doesn’t mention it at all, she just gives Lunar their judgement and leaves, her wearing her dead sibling’s scarf being the only giveaway that they know what happened. Needless to say Lunar feels extremely guilty about it, but y’know, final boss, so they deal with that post game in the phone call, where Snow addresses them coldly and uncaringly.

The happy ending is the one where Lunar helps Blood by disarming the trap. He scrambles away and the battle ends. Lunar looks around and finds him sitting against a tree, processing what just happened, when he notices he doesn’t know what to say, he simply stares at Lunar then at the trap then at Lunar. He mutters a small thank you before running away. That’s all Lunar hears about both twins for a while. And then, the second half of waterfall is reached, and Lunar receives a phone call.

“Uhhh, is this the human? Hey. Hey! Hi, it has been some time, uhhhhh. So I uh, I wanted to say thanks for helping me out back there, I uh, I appreciate it… god that feels weird to say— anyways! I know we got off in the wrong foot, so uh, sorry for trying to kill you? I can, like, make it up to you? Just drop by our place or something, I got rid of all the traps (I think) so, yeah… Wha? How’d I get your phone number? Other caught it while looking over your shoulder as you used it, anyways— later!”

And so, the blood twins can be befriended.

You might notice I’m missing a variation of the fight, and that’s because the No mercy route is so incredibly different that any other. I also have a thing to illustrate what I mean with this

Blood will straight up not fight in the No Mercy route. The first four encounters do happen, but by the time the outskirts are reached he has decided he simply won’t fight you again. You had no reaction to any of the traps, you hadn’t even flinched when he took out the chainsaw, he’s creeped out by you. He tells you he won’t even bother since no human in their right mind would ever not react to any of that, he also gloats about it also probably not being a fair fight because he’d probably win easily if he didn’t hold any punches. The fight starts, and there are two ways to go about this, kill him or don’t.

If you kill him, he’ll be very taken aback by the strength of your attack, he won’t say anything, he won’t move, he’ll just stare at you. In the last second he’ll turn away to run, but it’d be worthless by then, he’d turn to dust a few feet behind you.

If you don’t kill him he’ll be relieved, he had been very anxious about this confrontation for what he assumes to be no reason, he’ll just be like ‘cool’ and walk away. Just like him living in any other route, he calls you once you reach the second half of Waterfall, though he isn’t as chipper as he could be, in fact he’d still be very creeped out by you, but be willing to talk about murder and bones over some prepackaged meals or whatever.
