okay, what if at the school festival or w/e, midori’s looking around at the club booths bc it beats being dragged around by taichou n that’s when he notices the handicrafts club n a bunch of girls n guys from the normal course are “ooo”ing and “aaa”ing over shu’s intricate clothes bc they’ve heard so much abt him, n tsumugi’s also being praised for some of his scarves n pillows n embroidery n stuff but mika’s kinda shadowed bc his plushs n meager things arent as “cool” but midori sees mika’s plushs n immediately thinks of them as he does w mascot things n bounds up to them w his sparkle eyes (u kno the ones) n he’s like “uwaa these look so cute! they’re soo odd-looking that u just can’t help but like them! [looks up at mika] what are they?” n mika’s just so stunned bc What also bc, isnt this that one depressed first year he’s seen around before? he’s this excited over smth mika made? but it makes him surprisingly a bit happy n he’s just like “aa.. i like plushs, see, so i tried ta make some a my own, n patch some up bc creepy-cute things are nice, y’know?” n he’s just kinda blushy bc wow this first year guy is pretty, n he looks so happy bc of smth mika did...

what if Midori and mika meet bc he walks outside his store to try n feed the stray cat that frequents the area near the shop n he finds mika playing w the cat right outside his door n a bit to the left n mikas startled by Midori approaching him n he tilts his head for a sec then goes "nnah, is this yer cat?? 'm sry! he jus' looked rly soft n cute so I-" but as mikas just looking up at midori, Midori just thinks that mika resembles the cat so much what w the lil head tilt n the heterochromatic eyes n the lil fang n scruffy hair n he's just like "..........cute"

Bonus: he's like "a-ah, that's not my cat, no, ur fine..." n mikas so relieved he's not bothering Midori n they both feed the cat some peas !

imagine Mika making chocolates for Midori in the shape of the mascots Midori likes so much but him, not being v good at it n being kinda clumsy overall, fails at it n they look more like lumps w vague features on em but Midori just goes "theyre just chocolates; they're gonna get eaten anyway, so it's okay if they're not perfect, yeah?" n mikas abt to say smth when Midori lightly smiles n says "they're very mika-like, when you think abt it. creepy cute, right? it shows ur true effort and l-love put into it..." n he just starts getting embarrassed n self deprecating so he eats one of mikas chocolate n reaches to give Mika the chocolates he made him but mikas just standing there completely flustered

midomika where mika is a cat familiar (can transform into a human. he’d prob b a crow but cats r v cute ok. also crows can fly so he prob wouldnt get lost in the 1st place if he was a crow) who wanders away from his witch master shu’s house and accidentally gets lost in the woods but stumbles upon the house of a plant witch named midori and midori’s like “oh... hello.” and he takes mika in (either mika cant speak in animal form or doesnt want to around a stranger) and midori sets him down to go get a snack for him or smth n mika notices all the strange stuffed animal dolls that midori has and smells all the nice herbs bc shu’s house doesnt have such greenery and midori gives him some small snacks like carrot and blueberries and mika is rly hesitant bc shu wouldnt allow him to eat w/o permission but he’s also so hungry from walking around and getting lost and midori is so kind to him even tho he’s just a random animal to him and he falls asleep near some of the plushs and eventually shu comes by and asks midori if he’s seen a black cat w mismatched eyes and mika has to go home but he secretly wants to come visit the plant witch again some day, maybe w a thank you present of candy or a magical ingredient or cloth.

hc that midori and mika hav squishies bc they’re cute to them n they use them to calm down when they get anxious. mika sometimes needs stuff to do w his hands so he likes the small ones. they both like plushies more tho bc Soft(tm)
