#scrivener is truly a life saver and a dream and im not even using it to its full potential

i love writing with scrivener because whenever you feel really shit about your fic or novel you can just pull back and look at the statistics break down for the project’s entirety - word count, page count, pages in a paperback novel, average document length, average reading time, etc - and have a moment of perspective

with engagement on ao3 being dodgy even on good days it’s really grounding to step back and acknowledge the work you’ve put in. I’ve got over 30k words in the Opening Act of Spring fic at five chapters and over 60k if you count the stand alone one shots and companion pieces. that's a more continuously successful project than any i’ve developed in the last three years.
