Illustrator/Colour Matching

Illustrator is useful in creating vector images which you would use for things like logos because of the scalability they provide. Colour matching is making sure that the colours of your work look the same across all media, from monitor to paper. The amount of colours that the monitor can show is much bigger than the amount of colours that the printer can produce, AKA the gamut. Something calibration reminds me of is the ScribblePen, it’s a pen that is able to scan colours off of objects in real life and bring them onto your computer so you are able to draw with them digitally.

En 2015, la marque Scribble a sorti un stylo capable de reproduire n’importe quelle couleur qui nous entoure. En effet, ce stylo a une mémoire interne de 16 GO. Avec un capteur qui se place sur l’objet du choix de l’utilisateur, et grâce à un capteur très sensible, il réplique instantanément la teinte avec un mélangeur d’encre intégré.

Il est possible de l’obtenir soit pour papier, soit pour tablettes numériques ou autres applications tactiles. La recharge se fait avec un cable USB. Très maniable et portable, il s’utilise n’importe où et n’importe quand. Les couleurs enregistrées dans le stylo peuvent être enregistrées directement dans ce dernier ou être transférées sur Photoshop.

Dans un monde où tant de couleurs sont indicibles, ce stylo, pour moi, est une vraie révolution technologique et un réel progrès pour le dessin et les arts visuels. Avoir la possibilité de reproduire une couleur et être capable de l’utiliser directement a quelque chose de presque science-fictionnel selon moi. Cela peut développer la créativité de manière insensée. Tout ceci ne nous dispense néanmoins pas d’utiliser des crayons traditionnels, mais il faut avouer que l’idée est ingénieuse et l’objet très pratique et esthétique.
