I have been trying to make a long post for the past few days but I wasn't very great at it but now, now I can fucking do so.

So SCP, those who were fans of the creepypasta phase of the internet in the early tens would be familiar with them. They were the goat of these kinds of stories. So fucking fantastic and magical. Very epic.

I remember when I was still young, I used to go to this store that sold vending machine hot chocolate. I go there and buy me a cup and I would read SCP articles. I loved those days. I essentially memorized the designations and nicknames of the first series of SCPs, SCP Series 1.

I kinda fell out of SCP for a while when I started reading manga and webtoons when I got to college. I always still loved it very much. It's just that the newer series wasn't very interesting to me anymore. Even Series 3, which was being built up when I first found out about SCP was also trash. Some gems but not really grand.

Then I heard about the rewrite of 049. I've memorized 049 and oh boy the rewrite was something... something great. It was a nice discovery. It added more to 049 than what I could bargain for. Although I questioned it in later years, as why couldn't they just make a tale to explain 049. They made him human.

I wasn't really reading SCPs by then, I've outgrown them essentially but they still had a place in my heart. I listened to TheExploringSeries or TheVolgun do some SCP stuff.

I decided one day to listen to SCP-847. I remember what it was, it was this mannequin that attacked women and did things to them. Creepy stuff. Fantastic horror.

And to my horror, it was rewritten. By this point I've been redpilled. Was made aware of what woke was and what feminism truly is, the works.

The rewrite, was fucking atrocious. It was the most self-serving bullshit I have ever heard. I was in so much disbelief after I finished listening to that article.

They butchered the SCP to shoehorn a men's expectations of women agenda. It was awful pandering bullshit. I still feel nauseous about it because it just really was shocking and appalling. I loved SCPs.

To think it became like that man, fuck. I don't know what to think of it anymore but the rewriter can go fuck themselves.

I looked up what 4chan had to say about this travesty and I found a comment I wholeheartedly agree with.

This person was able to explain my discomfort and fucking hatred for that article. It was just bullshit. Pure bullshit.

049 was rewritten by it's OG author so it's good. But 847 was rewritten by some dude who doesn't even understand the charm of 847. Fucking bastard.

This is an excellent description, and means a lot to me, with my experience rewriting SCP-847. That article is all about objectification and I've dealt with the death of the author through it.

I had a few things I wanted SCP-847 to be about, and many people caught those, but there's a number of other things going on that have been interpreted in different ways. But what they mean is different for different readers.

And, the #1 criticism I've heard over the years on 847, despite the rampant misogyny exhibited by some characters, or the extreme clinical tone of the document, was that I dared to mention the existence of trans people. And that clearly says more about the reader than the author.

But past it, over the years, the increasing amount of work based on 847, the fanart, the videogames, the situations, the cosplay, it's clear that people have found things in the article to interact with, and for that I'm thankful.

I don't think you have to read either essay to grasp the basic concepts

death of the author means that once a work is complete, what the author believes it to mean is irrelevant to critical analysis of what's in the text. it means when analysing the meaning of a text you prioritise reader interpretation above author intention, and that an interpretation can hold valid meaning even if it's utterly unintentional on the part of the person who created the thing. it doesn't mean 'i can ignore that the person who made this is a bigot' - it may in fact often mean 'this piece of art holds a lot of bigoted meanings that the author probably wasn't intentionally trying to convey but did anyway, and it's worth addressing that on its own terms regardless of whether the author recognises it's there.' it's important to understand because most artists are not consciously and vocally aware of all the possible meanings of their art, and because art is communal and interpretive. and because what somebody thinks they mean, what you think somebody means, and what a text is saying to you are three entirely different things and it's important to be able to tell the difference.

male gaze is a cinematographic theory on how films construct subjectivity (ie who you identify with and who you look at). it argues that film language assumes that the watcher is a (cis straight white hegemonically normative) man, and treats men as relatable subjects and women as unknowable objects - men as people with interior lives and women as things to be looked at or interacted with but not related to. this includes sexual objectification and voyeurism, but it doesn't mean 'finding a lady sexy' or 'looking with a sexual lens', it means the ways in which visual languages strip women of interiority and encourage us to understand only men as relatable people. it's important to understand this because not all related gaze theories are sexual in nature and if you can't get a grip on male gaze beyond 'sexual imagery', you're really going to struggle with concepts of white or abled or cis subjectivities.

Beschreibung: SCP-847 ist eine menschliche weibliche Schaufensterpuppe, 156 cm groß und 27 kg schwer, hergestellt aus menschlichem Haar und einem unbekannten faserigen Verbundpolymer, das ähnlich wie Porzellan abrieb und zerbricht. In seltenen Fällen kratzt SCP-847 mit einem Finger (oder, je nach Reparaturzustand, mit einem verfügbaren Anhängsel) kurze Nachrichten auf Oberflächen in der Nähe. Muster-Y-Verhaltensweisen werden übernommen, wenn sich männliche Probanden, aber keine weiblichen Probanden im Umkreis von 50 Metern befinden, unabhängig von dazwischenliegenden Hindernissen. Zu den Verhaltensweisen im Anfangsstadium gehört das Ausstoßen von Lautäußerungen, die einem hohen, wimmernden Keuchen ähneln2und provokantere Posen einnehmen. In dieser Zeit kann es gelegentlich zu Schaudern kommen. Nach 3–5 Minuten der Anfangsphase geht das Verhalten von SCP-847 in eine sekundäre Phase über, in der es vollständig belebt wird, sich jedem männlichen Subjekt nähert, eine gebeugte Haltung einnimmt und dem Subjekt scheinbar in die Augen blickt. Lautäußerungen werden in dieser Zeit häufiger und dauern länger. Während dieser Zeit sind die Subjekte in der Lage, SCP-847 zu handhaben und frei zu verändern oder in eine andere Position zu bringen. Wenn es in die Pose gebracht wird, behält es die neue Pose bei, sofern das Gleichgewicht es zulässt. Das letzte Stadium des Muster-Y-Verhaltens tritt etwa 5 Minuten, nachdem alle Subjekte den 50-m-Umkreis von SCP-847 verlassen haben, ein. Anschließend zerschmettert es ausgewählte Teile seines Körpers und/oder extrahiert innere Strukturen. Verhaltensweisen nach Muster SCP-847 wird Lautäußerungen ausstoßen, die einem verzweifelten Grunzen und Kreischen ähneln, die Frau sofort animieren und körperlich angreifen. Bei Verhaltensweisen nach Muster Während eines Angriffs zerschmettert SCP-847 gelegentlich ein Glied (normalerweise einen Finger oder einen Zeh), um eine scharfe Kante zu erzeugen. Darüber hinaus wird Plastinationsharz aus Augen, Mund und zerschmetterten Körperteilen freigesetzt. Harz, das in offene Wunden fällt, führt zu einer schnellen Verhärtung des Weichgewebes, das sich ausbreitet, bis der Körper des Opfers eine Zusammensetzung aus einem ähnlichen Polymer wie SCP-847 erreicht. It depends on the mood . Sometimes too clingy . They show affection by words of affirmation , touch and quality time . Even if you are friends .They're just being themselves . 

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) A ... friend that most of a time joke around . And use dark humor too . He's just a comedic friend and will try to make you laugh/giggle/smile or just to see your reaction. I personally think that you'll become friends only if they decides to . If he eventually become friendly , there will be a higher chance that she'll be your friend in future .

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

They do like to cuddle . As I said they show affection by touch . So he likes it . And I think that you will rarely cuddle if you both are just friends , only if you are really frustrated/really sad . But if you are dating she'll gladly trap you in a hug .

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

They really do . But for a good reason they couldn't . But if he ever did live with you he would be good at cooking , like come on he had many hosts , and at least some of them knew how to cook . So she probably will be good at cooking , at least a little bit . As for cleaning , he'll help you . And will be in a middle . Won't clean really much for home to be super clean . But still clean enough for him .

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

They'll either start ghosting you or be straight forward and say that it's over . Won't kill you don't worry . You didn't give him a reason to , don't you ? So you'll be fine . 

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

If they got a chance they would probably propose after maybe like 4-5 years of being together . You know you can't get truly married , even if they escape Foundation . She's not a human . And his body(host) will decompose so it can be hard if he don't know where the host's passport . But even if they had , they'll always need a new one . 

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Sometime they can get too dark with their joke . And you'll probably think if they'll really do some weird things . But other than that he can be gentle around you in both ways . He'll let herself be way too vulnerable with you if they find that you really do trust them and love them . 

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

Of course they do . Even if you're just a friend to him . He'll always appreciate the hug from you . They would literally hug as many times as they could . And their hugs are ... quiet . Suffocating . To say the least . But if it hurts don't be scared/shy or whatever keeps you from social interaction to say that it hurts , just don't be too aggressive or mean to them . They will get upset and you'll need to apologize .

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

After few days of your relationship , something around 5-6 days . And won't hesitate to say it few times .

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?) Well at first(if your relationship is new . Like few days/weeks) they'll be a little conscious , because you can betray her if you break up . He don't want to kill you yet . He likes you . So he'll be a protective when jealous . If you're dating for months/years she'll still be protective , but little less . Still will worry about you . And btw will read your mind so they will know if it's some one you know/family member/friend or whatever . But if they get really jealous he'll be pouting and upset . 

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Can't exactly kiss you . Just press his mouth to yours . That's all . It can leave some dark substance/goo on place he 'kissed' you . Their most liked places to kiss you are : hand , lips , forehead . And their fav place to be kissed , if not to count the host body , is literally anywhere and on host body too . They just didn't get many affection , well no affection in years of imprisonment in Foundation .

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

They like a company of kids . Not always , only if kids are not too mean , aggressive or etc.. He likes a few of kid SCP objects . She tolerates 053 and 191 the most . But let's talk about how they're around other children , they're friendly with them . They hope that kids won't fear them . They are just being lonely that they will spend time with kids too . 

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Since you can't live together , it will be pretty hard to see each other in the morning . But if you have something on your mind . Then , I'll leave it to you .

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

I'll leave it to you too . Cause there isn't many way you can freely interact w/ each other . 

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

It will take like a year to reveal some more information about themselves . 

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It's 50/50 . But if he get angry she'll try not to hurt you . And will try to get away from you if it's possible , so they 100 won't hurt you . 

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

YES . Just yes . They even remember memories of his past host . So yeah , they always will remember you said . 

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

When they confessed to you . It's their favorite moment . 

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He sometimes can be protected if he sense/read someone's mind and discovers that this person wants to hurt you or kill . So they become protective of you . 

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

They'll try pretty much . Dates aren't great and anniversaries too , but he can get gifts for you . Like get some jewelry from dead scientists and etc. 

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

They're kind of narcistic and sometimes short tempered . That's it . 

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

They are concerned . They really want to look good for you ... and for themselves . But , they don't have much clothes and accessories choice .

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

It depends on your stage of relationship . If you know each other for a long time then there is way more chance that they'll feel really incomplete .

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

They kind of adopted 847 , since they though that both of them are pretty similar to each other . And they became friends after few 'meetings' with each other , only then 035 didn't have a female host . Since 847 just killed them instantly . 

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

People who hate certain races , homophobic and well if people who don't like/hate 035 . Like seriously they hate this kind of people . And sexist . Even if they are really old and we're used to female wearing dressed and male pants/costumes , but after sometime they didn't care anymore .

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Ha , nice joke) .

Something about Skullgirls situation and something similar to it in my eyes.

After checking the posts here on Tumblr about this Skullgirls censorship and knowing the state of all the other convos in all the other sites I know that care for this, all I can say is that the conversations get quite toxic.

But I get it. To me there's this one series that really feels like my Skullgirls. People have said it's all censorship and whatnot and maybe it is, for the one that really feels like my Skullgirls.

It was called the SCP Wiki. Fun site and to me, it was my everything during my early teens. I used to live with no WiFi so I can't really know a lot. I only get to have WiFi when I visit my Dad's office every week. Fun times. I downloaded some scanlated manga to my phone, and I just viewed some fandoms (wikias as they were called at the time) and just enjoyed it. My friends suggested Pewds and I checked him out. Was alright and he was playing this game called Containment Breach at the time and I was recommended a video that talks about the game and the entities in it. I was hooked. I was gonna look for those entities.

I stumbled upon the SCP Wiki and from then on, that was when I discovered the series that really changed my life for the better. It was there for me, it was awesome to read. I never was one for community so I never really joined anything, well that was until 2017 when I joined an FB group about the foundation. Why an FB group? Funny story but it's not relevant.

I loved the SCP Wiki through and through to the point that I memorized some SCPs by heart. In time though, something changed and I thought it was the changing tastes I was developing and partly it was but it was because of the changing quality of the newer SCPs. I found out about SCP during the time when Series 3, the 2000s were still being filled up. So I enjoyed Series 1 and 2, which I consider to be the Magnum Opus of the Wiki. I loved most of the SCPs in Series 1 and Series 2. Series 3 came along and there were a few hits or misses there. I never had much thought about the LGBT controversy in the SCP Wiki while it was happening. I never cared as I wasn't informed enough of what was going on. In time I understood what it was, for what it was. I'll keep that to myself.

I left SCP in 2019, left it behind to pursue other hobbies and other genres. It was quite a fun ride, the searching of other genres that I would enjoy. I came back in 2022 when I went to listen to a reading of one of the SCPs that was good, in my opinion. SCP-847.

What I was hearing was a load of drivel that was just not what I remembered what it was. What was I listening to? This can't be the SCP-847 that I remember. It just couldn't. After checking around, I realized it had been rewritten. That couldn't be what made it sound wrong, SCP-049 had been rewritten and it was fucking fantastic. What gives?

In time, I realized that the quality of the SCP Wiki has been laxed. The feeling I felt during the early years of Series 3 was a mix of changing tastes and distaste of the style. I went and checked some of the more anti-woke channels I knew to see if they know what's up. I found LGBSCP. That one hit the nail.

Essentially, the SCP Wiki (Skullgirls) was coopted by people (Hidden Variable and Future Club) who wasn't really a fan of what made SCP (Skullgirls) great in the first place and okayed the rewriting of old SCPs for new palates (their palates, they mean). So when I say that Skullgirls is similar to the SCP thing, I meant that. It's so sad to see the thing that you loved get fucked to the dirt.

The difference being that I hold no attachment to Skullgirls the same way I do to SCP. If I did, I wouldn't be here. I'd be doing my darnest to keep ranting about it to this day. I'm just sad about SCP.

My brother has warmed up to SCP recently. Says that the latest ones have some good ones. So he's basically treating SCP as how I would treat Skullgirls currently. It's not annoying, I'm happy for him but I do wish he was with me when it was just reading the great ones. I would've loved to talk to someone about it.
