Have you heard of the mostly accepted theory that scp 3002 used to be scp 105 before the invasive brain surgeries?

Very important SCP poll I promise
So, if I were to portray Lily Veselka/SCP-3002 in such a way that she had a physical appearance, what color should I make her hair? I've already got most of the rest of her appearance hammered out, what with her basically being Bad Timeline Iris, but I'm still not sure about the hair. I'll be honest I'm tempted to give her white hair but I feel like that would be a bit much.

I just realized how similar SCP-3002 is to computer worms.
I've been watching cyber security videos and im currently watching this one about My Doom. Hearing stuff like 1 in 5 of all emails (an INSANE number obviously!!!) contain the worm just reminds me of the wording/effects of the scp.
I mean, it literally works the same as a computer worm. By replicating its infection through reciting memories like sending emails.

What are your favorite scps? both in terms of the concept and also the writing itself
Oooooooo, let's go!
As far as the classics go, SCP-231 is a masterclass in creating fear through implication. Mind the trigger warnings at the beginning though.
I love the concept for SCP-105: Iris because she's just a normal woman who can do one weird thing with one particular camera, but she gets embroiled in so many problems thanks to the Foundation refusing to leave well enough alone, essentially. Iris is a good character, she doesn't see as much use in more recent SCPs as she should imo.
SCP-1730: What Happened to Site 13? Is one of the early long-form SCPs, and it's very compelling.
SCP-2316: Field Trip is a great early example of just how creative SCP articles can be, and it will have you saying "I do not recognize the bodies in the water." randomly throughout your day.
Really anything by DJ Kaktus is a good read. SCP-6666: The Demon Hector and the Dread Titania is so far my favorite entry in the expanding Kaktusverse.
It would take too long to provide an explanation for all of my faves, but I'll include them below:
SCP-701: The Hanged King's Tragedy
SCP-999: The Tickle Monster
SCP-3966: Falling Out
SCP-001: The Gate Guardian and SCP-001: The Black Moon
SCP-4010: Attempt to Look at What We've Accomplished
SCP-1425: Star Signals
SCP-5001: Sacrosanct
SCP-5002: A Death in Containment
SCP-5236: Ethics Committee Inquest
Those are my top 14 or so, but there are plenty of other excellent ones out there!

Hey Glass Automaton resident yuri liker, I just finished Signalis (And I'll be honest, I played it because of the stuff you reblogged about it, I had no idea what it was prior) and I'm I insane for Ariane reminding me of Iris/Veselka or can we be insane together...
I'm glad my posting actually convinced someone to get a game I like which means I need to ramp up my Mahoyo posts. Alright soldier your next mission is to convince @drdapper to finish it, as I am already pestering him about Samurai Remnant and can't afford to be pushy about two games at once. Gonna be putting the actual meat of this response under a collapsible so as not to spoil anything for anyone who hasn't finished the game.
I was thinking about this ask for a while, and while the characters are obviously different in terms of backstory and whatnot I realized something: Ariane is driven by her fixation on a single person, while Lily is more concerned with people in general, if we're taking a cue from this very good tale about her, which I do. To that end, Ariane forces the memories of Elster onto others in her longing, even though that effort is ultimately a selfish pursuit, whether she knows it or not. Meanwhile, Lily imprints herself onto others, but takes their memories rather than give them, then cements herself in other people like a companion. In that sense, Ariane and Lily are sort of equal opposites - one only wants to be remembered by the woman she loved and forces others to fit that mold, while Lily wants to be remembered by everyone and forces her consciousness upon others. I think it can basically be summed up as longing vs loneliness for Ariane and Lily, respectively.
If you've got anything else to say about Signalis feel free to send it over, I love that game. Probably the single most atmospheric game I've ever played, it absolutely nailed that. I like how Adler's plan was just to walk up to Elster and shove her down an elevator shaft each time she showed up and the three-story pile of bodies tells us this was actually a very effective strategy.

AIIIGHT LESGO YOU ASKED FOR IT
As you guys know, 105 is Iris Thompson, the girl who can manipulate reality through photographs. In SCP 5000, the Foundation decides to destroy all humanity to save us from a much worse fate at the hands of the Entity, also known as IT. It just so happens to be that those are Iris Thompson's initials. That's not just a coincidence, as in SCP 3002, there is a girl that shows up in every person's memories in a single town. Recalling the memory is often a chaotic process, and sometimes causes the individual distress. They recall the girl from their childhood was Eastern European (same as Iris I think) who was new to their school. In all memories she was a pale, blond girl (also same as Iris) Lily Veselka, which can be translated and interpreted as Iris. Put simply, when you tell someone about the memory, whatever 3002 is gets access to that person's memory. FULL access. Capable of removing altering and replacing any memory, it can effectively change a person's actions and personality. Then, it can pretty much take over your mind. In this way it could easily create a MK Class EOTW scenario (end of human consciousness). Other GoIs have said about the anomaly "you should have seen this coming" and "we fear She is among us now." Now what does all of this have to do with 5000? The Entity, the 3002 entity, IT, Iris Thompson…. they're all suspiciously similar and I theorize that they are the same person. At the end of the 3002 document is a proposal for dealing with 3002, no description, and we don't know whether it was approved or not. But I think that it was, and furthermore it spawned Project PNEUMA from the 5000 article, where through PNEUMA research they connected the dots, just like I did here. (Probably not realizing it was Iris though.) So they decide to eliminate humanity themselves, instead of leaving IT (Iris) to mess with our consciousness at her will, possibly putting us through much worse than death. Why didn't IT just take over the world then? The 5000 process did take a long time, after all. Well it's because IT/3002 was put under an anti-meme, which limited its effects but only for a short period of time, allowing the Foundation to carry out their plan. All along IT had been playing along, with joining Alpha-9 and being docile and all that, only because it was under influence of the anti-meme. As you might know, in the end Pietro manages to stop the world from ending and resets reality back to the time before the Foundation decided on destroying humanity. But he also reset it back to a time where they had no idea what IT could do. Basically, after the reset, IT had free rein. The Foundation losing was the bad ending.
AHEM anyways vote iris
I DID ASK FOR IT AND I'M SORRY HOW LONG I TOOK TO RESPOND I was off wifi wandering in an endless desert.
I love connecting SCPs. Was she really playing along during her time in Alpha-9 or was she not yet aware of the extend of the foundation's actions and eventually turned on them?
And pictures are basically solid memories. I can understand an anonymous effect on pictures expanding to the nonphysical concepts of memories, I really like that concept. I need to reread all of these with this idea in mind
