Thursday July 18 2019 - Preface NYC Pop UP 

Thursday we headed to Preface NYC in Manhattan. Preface NYC is a pop up event for designers and buyers to come see thousands of fabrics and new innovative designs from brands across the globe. They also have a section dedicated to vintage pop up from styles coming from @scoutla and @arcadeshops!

Upon arrival we were checked in and were provided with a  free tote bag, free fabric scissors, and tape measurers which was very nice! They even had a coffee/tea station that they openly let us use! After checkin we got the chance to go around with the director of the program to every booth and learn about what they were about! After this we were able to go look on our own! My friend and I talked to the two guys from LA and learned a lot about the upcoming styles and trends that they are targeting at the moment. They also had fun drinks and snacks for our taking which was a nice bonus! The vintage clothes were my favorite thing to look at due to my love for vintage fashions! Overall, this was truly a great immersive experience where I learned a lot!

SCOUT IS NOT QUITTING ISSUES!!!!!!! I wish a nigga would, I'd kidnap his ass and drag him back to the turntables. ....GET AT ME!!!!!! He just decided to pursue other aspects of his career WHILE STILL MAKING MUSIC WITH ISSUES!!!! Thank God!!! I'm going to miss Scout. Sure he's still a part of Issues but the fact that he won't be touring makes me ever so sad. I mean I wanted to meet that crazy motherfucker, that was acutally my New Year's Resolution. Okay, maybe not but I was looking forward to meeting this fraction of Issues, guess I'll settle for the remaining 5/6.😔 (jk I love all the guys uniquely equally) But I am genuinely so happy that he's perusing his dreams. No dreams should be boxed up, no ambition left to rot away inside . I'm glad he's doing what makes him happy. As long as he's smiling, I'm smiling. Truly ready to see what DJ Scout has to show us and just as eager to here the new and improved Issues that Mama Carter practically bragged about in the AP magazine interview.

Issues will not be Touring with Tyler 'Scout' Acord in 2015

Issues have released their individual new year messages and plans, with a lot of new projects in the works. One notable message came from their own Tyler 'Scout' Acord, who will not be touring with the band, but focusing on writing with them instead. "Hooligans! We are starting the new year and starting to ponder our next album cycle. We are super excited to tell you that starting Jan 23 we will be writing and pre-producing our second full length album. This means that these months off from touring will not just be about relaxation and reconnecting with our lives. We will be busting our asses to write songs that will not only be impacting but that hopefully will be a step higher for us; a groundbreaking and innovative take on our tastes and talents. We all wanted to share with you our plans for 2015 in a set of goals and resolutions for the new year."

"It's my duty to inform you that come 2015, I will not be touring with Issues. This decision has come from a very deep place in my heart, and was in no way an easy one to make. The reasons are simply because I want to be able focus on other things musically. Touring as keys and turntables in a band is fun but isn't what I want to be doing with my career. I have a passion for music production and drums and want to see how far I can take them. However, I will still play the same roll I've always had in the studio with Issues, helping to write and co produce the record. So cry not! I want to personally thank any one who has ever supported me and the band in any way; both the fans that came to the shows and the parents that took them. See you in 2015!" - Scout

"When I met Scout, he was sitting at a big screen in the Atlantic Studio B in Hollywood. We wrote some amazing things back at that place, and though I knew from day one that he was going to be my partner in music, follow me wherever I go, I knew that it was only a matter of time before he would be longing to go back in the lab where it all started. This dude is my best friend, and he's one of the most talanted and charismatically innovative people I've ever known, I think he see's the same in me and that's why we've been able to do so much with this music. But this only means that the future of Issues could be a lot brighter than expected, because now my boy can really develop his sound more, and as we remember Issues' started with the development of Scout combined with metalcore, combined with pop.
