After reading most of the left-wing articles on RealClearPolitics for the two weeks since the debate, David Scharfenberg at the Boston Globe gets credit for being the first one to note that half the country likes Trump for reasons:

Individual issues aside, the biggest problem for Democrats is this: They don’t have an answer to Trump’s populist appeal. The former president may be a vile, and even ridiculous, spokesman for blue-collar grievance. But he’s tapped into something real: anger over a hollowed-out economy and exasperation with an out-of-touch elite. There is a reason his talk of “vengeance” at campaign rallies registers. Biden has made a real effort to build a Democratic alternative. He’s staged nostalgic trips to his working-class roots in Scranton, Pa. And his sweeping climate bill, known as the Inflation Reduction Act, or IRA, has spurred a remarkable $332 billion in investments in clean energy and transportation. Projects include a Hyundai battery plant in Bryan County, Ga., a solar panel factory in Brookshire, Texas, and scores of similar manufacturing facilities scattered across the heartland. But policy doesn’t always make a deep impression on the public; polls show most voters haven’t heard much about the IRA and don’t think it will help them or boost the economy. The uncomfortable reality that will confront Democratic leaders if and when Biden steps aside is that the party’s vulnerability is about much more than the president’s stammer and garbled syntax.

Previously it was a striking omission. In 2016 people said that Trump supporters were racist, and liked him because he was also racist. This was bullshit, but at least they were attempting to use theory of mind on Trump supporters. Nowadays most left-wing writers don't even mention Trump supporters, and talk as if Trump were some sort of natural disaster!

This is more a less a reinterpretation of my second shoot ever I did with Ryder (back then I didn't know if I would like him). Old 2022 shots under the cut.

I still do like the pics but I used a wider FOV which I do not like anymore. Ry didn't have the thicker beard mod back then either. It's a bit funny to me, bc when I look at those older pics, Ryder being roughly 2 or 3 days old, with barely a personality, (having now a deep lore) looks a bit like a stranger to me in them. Maybe this is how someone may view him crissing paths first time? Anyhow, I know who he is now and how I have to pose him and which expressions he needs. Back then it was just: neutral face time.

I wanted to try the same pic on the left but had no patience bc the smoke didn't want to be like back then even tho I went to the exact same spot. Maybe next time.
