"come  on,  you  can't  tell  me  that  lady  hawk  is  a  bad  name."  kate  spoke  quite  proudly  of  the  name  she  came  up  with.  "yeah,  clint  said  i'm  the  new  hawkeye  and  all..  but  lady  hawk  has  a  nice  ring  to  it,  don't  you  think?"

whenever something went wrong, kate always beat herself up for it. comparing to the rest of them, she was just a random girl who just go lucky. forcing her way into clint's life. feeling like she had more to prove. that she belonged. "yeah.. we can order pizza." though it wouldn't make her feel better. just gonna leave her stomach full.

the lack of effort against her help made scarlett pause for a second to look closely at kate. “hey—” she started, hoping to capture the other archer’s full attention. “i know it sucks, but it’s not so bad. i mean, it could have been worse, right ?”  Oh, how she wished she were better with words because as soon as the words left her mouth, she felt like she wasn't really helping at all. so she decided to try another approach. “i’m almost finished with this, then we can take a break, order something to eat, and watch a movie or something. what do you think ? would that make you feel better ?” Because that was all the redhead wanted—to lift her friend's spirits.

"worse  than-  scar!"  kate  shook  her  head  in  disbelief  as  she  rushed  to  her  best  friend.  eyes  scanning  frantically  over  her  body.  "alright,  you're  going  to  sit  down  while  i  bandage  you  up.  no  arguments!"

"so uh.. bad news.." kate cleared her throat. of course this was bound to happen. it happens all the time in tv shows and movies. but nooo. she was determined to have the other hang out with her. "i lost the key.."

it was a rough fight that kate didn't expect to get seriously injured. she was in a mixture of embarrassed and flat out exhaustion. not even bothering to fight scarlett as the other archer aided her. "this sucks.." she mumbled quietly.

"just a- just a bandaid?" now kate never was worried when she was injured herself, unless it's a splinter, either way, she's usually calm. until someone she knows and cares about are hurt. "scarlett, you need stitches!!"

"i  knew  i  wasn't  alone  on  the  name!"  kate  spoke  with  an  excited  tone  and  a  snap  of  her  finger.  clint  was  just  a  hater.  and  she  was  not  afraid  to  tell  him  that.  "the  day  someone  calls  me  lady  hawkeye,  i  will  wear  that  title  with  pride."  though  scarlett's  questioned  made  her  brain  do  flips.  scattering  to  find  the  answers  of  taking  place  of  her  hero.  "it's...  it's  definitely  more  than  i  expected.  not  to  mention,  having  to  go  back  to  collect  the  arrows  is  a  pain.  which  is  why  i  think  boomerang  arrows  are  still  genius!"  she  pointed  out  with  a  wag  of  her  finger,  "but  overall,  i  feel  like  this  is  what  i  was  meant  to  do  and  i  love  it."

“lady hawk does sound pretty cool, i have to agree with you.”  the redhead didn't need to think much about it because, just like kate, she also thought it had a nice ring to it. “i think this name would catch on pretty quickly—too bad you gotta stick with hawkeye.” there was a hint of playfulness in her tone and a playful smile on her face. “though i bet someone will call you lady hawkeye at some point.” it was predictable; some people just couldn't get the names right. “and since we're on this, tell me, what's like to be the new hawkeye ? are you enjoying it ?”
